UNBELIEVABLE NONSENSE!
My husband installed a RING doorbell with a camera and connected it to ALEXA, so I could see who was at my door. He passed away and after the fact my modem was changed which involved a new wifi password. After that my doorbell stoped working, so I’m assuming it had something to do with this change, but did not receive any notification because his cell phone became my cell phone and all his data was deleted. I could not access the required information when I opened the app, so I contacted RING a number of times asking them to transfer the contract to my name. I got a different story every time I contacted them! First I was asked to send a picture of the bar code, then I was told I needed to disconnect the doorbell and finally asked to send proof of my husband’s death. I sent them a picture of the Funeral Home’s Proof of Death, which is what was accepted by every other company I have dealt with, including the CRA! That was not accepted and was told that I needed a certified death certificate! After hours and days on the phone with them, I phoned Telus and set up a contract with them! Can’t wait for Telus to rip the RING doorbell off my wall!

Extremely Poor Customer Service and Ongoing Technical Issues Minus
I’ve had a very frustrating experience with Ring support. My camera has repeatedly stopped recording at night, and despite several calls, the issue remains unresolved. I was left on hold for over an hour and a half during my most recent call. The agent’s English was very poor, making communication extremely difficult, and the supervisor who took over was just as unhelpful. I eventually had to cancel the call. I have also been waiting for a refund that was promised to me since 24 September, but it still hasn’t been processed. Each time I call, I’m put on hold or interrupted while trying to explain the issue, with no clear answers or progress. This has been an exhausting and disappointing experience, and I would not recommend Ring to anyone based on the lack of proper customer service and unresolved technical problems.

On holiday and locked out of my account
I have ring installed at my home which gave me some extra sense of security when I went on holiday. But now I’m on holiday and I’m locked out of my account. My userid and password aren’t good enough; I need a phone number — but I’m in France and my Canadian phone number is turned off. There’s supposed to be a way to id myself with a government id, but the account recovery webpage where that happens isn’t working. Of course I’m also not keen on uploading my government id anyway. So if Ring is supposed to keep me visually and aurally connected to my front door,‘it’s a waste of money.

Contact Ring first before placing an order. Orders take up to 3 months
On August 13,2025 I had placed an order for Solar Panel (USB-C) (for Outdoor Cam (Stick Up Cam), Outdoor Cam Plus, Stick Up Cam Pro, Spotlight Cam Plus, Spotlight Cam Pro) I contacted Ring back in September and gave them the order number and explained that they had already charged my card $57.38. I had not received my order. The person on the other end was very hard to understand and all I was told was it would be shipped out in 7-10 days and arrive at my home. Here it is October 7th and I still have not received my Solar Panel for my Ring Camera Pro. Today was the second time I contacted Ring support. Again I was told they are out of stock, and it would be shipped out in 7-10 days. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint against Ring Corporation to see if they can help. If all else fails I am requesting a full refund and switching to Lorex Home Security. I never dreamed Ring would have such poor service and support. RING NEEDS TO IMPROVE THEIR SERVICE.

Customer service is terrible
I agree with the other reviewers that the product is good but the customer support and the quality and pricing of the plans is poor. Even though rings comparison of plans indicates that whole monitoring can be achieved by getting the premium plan, an actual fact you will get billed twice if you have the home monitoring. I was on a call with customer support for 27 minutes trying to sort this out. When I finally gave up and asked to speak to a supervisor that was an additional 10 minutes. The original customer support person did not have good English which made things even worse. I have sorted this kind of issue out with other services and it has taken five minutes in the past. Once this expires I will not be renewing.

Good products held back by greedy subscription and poor policies
Poor Wi-Fi reception. Many features require subscription. No longer offers refunds for cancellations in the middle of your monthly or annual billing periods, unless required by applicable laws. Otherwise good.

WASTE OF TIME
Wow, just wow. Never in a million years could I fathom such an awful experience with such a large company. The more money they make - the worse they are. These people are clueless and their customer support offer 0 support whatsoever. It's actually sick. They charge you for an order in which you receive no confirmation of, then 3 days later when you call in to see what is going on, they can tell you that they see you ordered something but can not provide the confirmation # or help you cancel the order because they can only cancel it with the confirmation #. I honestly felt like I was being trolled. This is who I should trust with my home security? Wow, just wow. Quality of service has deteriorated to an unacceptable level with these big companies and it's sick that they can just get away with it. I remember when if you could not provide good customer support - you could not last. My business will go to a competent company who actually cares.

An absolute rubbish product
An absolute rubbish product. There is more work involved in changing batteries every 2-3 weeks than any convenience it presents. Spoke with a Ring representative (Ruma) today and I have been confirmed that all settings are normal. They told me that my batteries are faulty and I need to buy new ones since I am out of warranty. Stay far far far away from their device.

El Ring Intercom es un producto defectuoso que genera falsas llamadas continuas sin que nadie llame. Tras enviar fotos del cableado y esperar más de una semana, no han dado ninguna solución efectiva. El servicio postventa se limita a excusas y no cumple con lo prometido. Exijo la devolución inmediata y no recomiendo en absoluto este producto ni esta marca.

Rude, Arrogant and Useless customer service
My Ring Doorbell Plus has been disconnecting from my wifi for a while and I have followed every instruction and help video on on the website and app including resetting my doorbell and reconnecting it several times but at least once or twice a day my doorbell goes offline. Finally I gave in and called customer service and spoke to an arrogant and quite rude assistant who told me the problem lay with my internet service, I tried to explain that everything else on my wifi network was working without issue, my TV, CCTV cameras and all my other devices only to be told that a doorbell is different to all of those items and I should get my internet checked, my wifi router is approximately 2.5 meters from the doorbell and has been ever since I purchased it and has worked with no issue! After being talked over and accused of shouting I gave up and ended the call as I was getting nowhere! Right or Wrongly out of anger I cancelled my ringplan as there was no point paying for storage and online features when the doorbell constantly disconnects! Out of curiosity I had my internet connection tested and there is no faults at all, I am now seeking an alternative brand of doorbell. I’ve never had any problem with the customer service before, I've always found them to be polite and helpful but the associate I spoke to was unprofessional and arrogant, even moreso to accuse me of shouting when they wouldnt listen when all I was simply trying to get was assistance!

Security flaw + poor customer service
Updated my account email address. Made a typo. Therefore impossible to get the verification email that would confirm the account email address change. However, Ring has already updated their backend systems with the new (incorrect) email address without any verification ever having been received. So the only way to get access to my devices (and my £79.99 worth of services) is to disconnect them for 15 days, open a new Ring account, add the devices and attempt to transfer their ownership. A shocking flaw in Ring's security flow and a nightmare for customers who make a typo. Will be getting a refund for my annual charge and swapping Ring devices for another brand.

Please do not touch ring security…
Please do not touch ring security customer care can’t help unless I climb a ladder and then while on the phone try and do some tests and reset an electrical faulty camera when I informed them I’m not trained to do this was told ask a friend! Anyone know if working of a ladder while using a phone is safe practice I’ll ask the health and safety executive and while I’m I’m at it going to ask trading standards how I stand on just asking for a replacement

Terrible customer service
Because my product was 2 days out of warranty they refused to honor it and wanted me to buy another one again. Their products are poorly made. I will not be stupid enough to buy another one. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Warnung an alle die ring door kaufen wollen!
Nach vielen Jahren mit der Ring Door bell 1 die sehr gut funktionierte wurde uns das Bell gesperrt! Eine Türklingel die nicht klingelt ist für mich Betrug! Wir haben theoretisch einen Besitzstandsschutz in Deutschland. Warum nennt sich diese Klingel immer noch Türklingel? Wir sind nicht bereit auch nur einen Cent in ein fragwürdiges Unternehmen zu investieren. Man kann hier nur davor warnen solche Geräte aus den USA zu kaufen! Es ist weggeworfenes Geld!

Simplement horrible
Je suis le client de RING depuis le12/2018. Depuis le 03/2025 ils ont bloqué mon compte payant sans avertissement (6 caméras de surveillance extérieures). Les appareils on été bloqués en distance comme même, donc inutile pour la vente comme occasion. C'est incroyable, surtout que globalement les cameras sont fiable par rapport les concurrents chinois. Don’t waste your money.
I’ve had rings cameras and the annual service for just over two years. They seem to work well, but in the last four months they completely stopped working. I was told my wifi password had to be change all of a sudden due to a special character. Once I did they still have not worked. I cancelled my annual service. The equipment is expensive and it doesn’t even last. It’s a waste of money. I’d find something else That’s better if I was anyone looking at reviews of this company. I don’t understand how for two years my password has work and just over night that is my issue. I call bs. Not to mention my internet connection is of the highest speed offered and I was also being told it was my connection. Mind you, nothing else in my home has issues connecting. Lame products and service.

Disappointed
I’m really disappointed with the playback feature on the Ring app. When I go back to review footage, it only shows snapshots every half hour instead of giving me access to minute-by-minute playback. This makes it very difficult to monitor activity and defeats the purpose of having a security camera that’s supposed to provide detailed surveillance. For the price of the service, I expected better functionality. I hope Ring improves this feature soon because it’s a major drawback.

Kein Ring mehr
Guten Tag , wir haben seit ca 1 Jahr Ring intercom . Hat alles gut geklappt und vor ca 2 Monaten das Gerät nicht mehr in Funktion . Dann dem Techniker Dienst geschrieben und und und aber das ist nichts gekommen dann sollte man Bilder schicken und drauf kammen fragen mit ja und nein . Was ja blödsin ist da nichts verändert hat nur das das Gerät keine Verbindung hat . Vom Ring Kamm nichts mehr . Sehr trauriger Service keine Hilfe .

Re programming prob
Works relatively well. But when I changed internet provider I have to take the module off wall to reprogram it. OK but since I am invalid that job is near impossible. No reason internet connection can not be changed from the app

Ring support is horrible
Ring support is horrible. Foreigners answer the phone and read from a book. Case in point. Customer has to jump through too many hoops to get a live foreign woman. My neighbor gave me a Ring floodlight camera. In order to delete the camera from his account the only way to to that is via the Ring app on his phone. Ring doesn’t tell you this on their website. Once the camera is deleted you would think all you have to do is to set it up is scanning the QR code. WRONG. A prompt tell you it takes 15 days to set up the camera. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. In this day and age of lightening speed one would think it would be a no brainer to set it up after the previous owner deleted the camera from his account. I will NEVER buy Ring products again. The CEO collects his millions and doesn’t give a crap about customers.

Ein Stern ist noch zu viel- wieso kaufe ich eine Klingel für 140€ und benötige eigentlich ein Abo, mindestens für 10€ zusätzlich pro Monat. Geht auch noch teurer, wenn alles wichtig ist. Da verdient sich jemand eine goldene Nase. Man merkt es erst nach 1 Woche, da es anfangs alles gut klappt. So werden die Kunden abgezockt. Täglich kommen innerhalb 1 Woche Erinnerungen ein Abo abzuschließen. Nicht aber, dass man die Klingel dann gar nicht nutzen kann. So etwas müsste doch dabei stehen, dass es eine ganz normale Klingel ist ohne Wirkung. Dann hätte ich mir eine normale Klingel für 10€ kaufen können. Fühle mich verarscht. Man sollte darauf hinweisen, dass sie ohne Abo nicht zu nutzen ist. Dass heißt, ich muss beim Klingeln direkt am Handy sein. Krass. Wer sieht, oder hört schon innerhalb von Sekunden das Handy.
