Spotlight failure - must replace entire unit
Purchased the Ring Spotlight Cam Plus Battery / Solar version in late 2020. One of the side floodlights has failed to come on. Ring customer service is not available as requests for help are directed to their AI platform. The lights are sealed and unless I am mistaken, the entire unit must be replaced. Don’t purchase this unit, or the updated ones as they are built the same way and you cannot replace the floodlights. IMO Ring has severely compromised their ability to provide reliable products and don’t care at all about sustainable of quality customer service.

Ein Stern ist noch zuviel!!!! Wir haben eine Ring-Klingel gekauft, diese mir 4 Handys (Bewohner) verknüpft und zeitgleich ein Testabo über 4 Wochen erhalten. Pünktlich in der Nacht, in der das Abo abgelaufen ist, wurden im 2 Uhr alle informiert, dass jemand am Haus ist. Dummerweise konnte das Video nicht aufgezeichnet werden, da ja das Abo abgelaufen ist. Vor lauter Schreck habe ich dieses sofort erledigt. Daraufhin gab es bei mir keinen Alarm mehr. Bei meinen Eltern (77 und 86) war das anders. Deren Telefone waren noch nicht mit dem Abo synchronisiert- beide haben 12!!!!! Alarme in der Nacht erhalten. Es waren alles Fehlalarme, die dazu dienen sollten, dass man sofort ein Abo abschließen. Ich bin immer noch fassungslos, wie diese Firma vorgeht. Es gibt zum Glück sich andere Systeme.

Be aware that you may need to wait up…
Be aware that you may need to wait up to 2 weeks for a replacement when you have a defective product. And I had many, but in the past Ring would never conditioned sending a replacement device to processing the return of the defective one. They changed their policy without even an email to their customers. I had their subscription for years, which includes replacement of defective products and never such a bad experience as I am having this time. I reported a defective Ring Spotlight Cam Plus Battery to Customer Support 19-Oct, posted the defective camera which was received by them 22 October. I phoned customer support today, and discovered that In addition to the 72 hours processing from their receipt as described in the replacement request email from them, what they do not tell you is that it can take another 5-7 working days to receive the replacement camera. Which basically means you will be without a security camera for 2 weeks!!! makes absolutely no sense.... Unless they want to force you to buy a new one immediately and use the replacement as a back-up once you ultimately receive it (I am still waiting...), Complete disregard to their customers...

Ring Video Doorbell not working prober
I have a Ring Video Doorbell that cannot connect to my solar panel. We have tested the solar panel and there is nothing wrong with it. I have therefore contacted Ring customer service, who tested the Ring Video Doorbell for me. She concluded that there was something wrong with the device, so I should send it back. I have done so, but already here their service is completely wrong. They will not send a new Video Doorbell until they have received the broken one. It has now been over a week and I still have not received a new one. I have therefore contacted their customer service again, who say that they can see that they have received my shipment, but they cannot send the new one until it has been checked, which can take 72 hours. So I am very dissatisfied with their customer service and the way they treat their customers. I have to wait 72 hours before they send the new one plus the time it takes to receive the shipment. It is too bad. I have previously been happy with my contact with Ring Customer Service, but now they apparently have this new policy that is not customer friendly. Apart from the fact that I haven't been able to get this Video Door Bell to work properly, I've been happy with the other products I've purchased. That is why they get more than one star.

Company in trouble??
I’m affraid the company is in financial trouble. Placed my order almost 1 week ago and can’t even get information about the delivery date. To be honest, reading the reviews, I think it’s a scam! They take the money and take weeks/months to deliver the product!! Free loan!!!!!! Great job! Now I just need to find out how I can cancel my $800 order!!

Impossible to get contact details to…
Impossible to get contact details to send an email to the company so that I could have a written email record of reporting a difficulty. The phone answering service is actually surprising quick to answer and the staff eventually provide some assistance over the phone, but that is not the same as having a written record of an email that was send describing a specific fault in a device. I could not find an email to write on online and even when I phoned the company and someone answered within a minute, they still refused to share a company email address. Suspicious???? Why won't they allow email records of customer communications?

Ring refuse to provide a back-up local service in the event of their cloud going down
Just off the chat line with a Ring agent as I wanted to know what the 'plan B' is in the event of another cloud failure (their AWS server went down the day before yesterday). I was shocked to find that I couldn't even connect to my Ring cameras on my local network during the outage. The system is far too cloud dependent. I suggested adding local NAS so at least recordings wouldn't be missed - but it seems Ring are just continuing as though nothing happened. I have cancelled my Ring Home Premium subscription & am looking elsewhere for something more reliable. If Ring are worried that a NAS add-on would mean that people would cancel their cloud subscriptions then they are wrong: I still need the cloud to see what is happening remotely, but they should allow a local back-up solution in case of another AWS cloud failure.

Worst standard on pretty much everything
Worst experience ever. Do not buy ring products. They have gone significantly downhill. Probably spent over $2K on ring products over the years. Loyal account been with them for over 7 years. Upon moving, my outdoor Security Cameras got stuck in a wifi loop. Spent 2 hours troubleshooting, including contacting Ring to realize they have no hard reset. If they get stuck, you are SoL. This is bad firmware and lack of oversight. They offer a 35% discount. When you log in, there is literally nowhere to input a promo code and they hard input with a standard 10%. These are the shady tactics this company plays. Then you add you have to wait for the old owner to confirm the doorbell which takes almost a month. Should be easier with geo-location and a copy of the lease as internet companies do. Finally, when I asked customer service about a promo code. He tells me to call in and disconnects. Literal joke of a company.

Terrible experience…
Terrible experience…ordered my second ring camera on 10/9 and still hasn’t shipped as of 10/20. Granted they had a promotion and those that ordered received 40% off and I ordered the next day for full price. The customer service rep stated my order wouldn’t ship for weeks…when I paid full price. I cancelled my order and am moving to another system.

Worst Customer Service I have ever experienced
Perhaps I should say no customer service I had an issue this morning and the only way I found that the servers were down was a google down detector report If it wasn't for the fact I stupidly purchased a doorbell at some cost I would dump this whole system The batteries are stupidly costly and do not last there are better products out there sure them not RING

Company with impossible-to-access customer service
My review is on ring UK not US, but Ring UK doesn't appear on Trustpilot. I bought the ring alarm system recently and soon realised that this company has no customer support. The UK telephone number provided on the ring website +4408081965767 simply doesn't exist (you try, it is not a valid number). The number you're given on the support chat +441727263045 is not monitored and nobody answers, I spent more than 20 minutes and no answer (no queuing system!). The support chat is pointless because if you have an emergency (that doesn't fit within a category) you just need to speak to an operator. So a firm literally without any customer support. Appalling.

Kan sinds een paar uren niets meer doen met de Ring app,deurbel en camera's... Ik zie dat nog mensen dit ervaren...Ligt dus bij "Ring" zelf ?

Waardeloos!!
Waardeloos!!! Binnen enkele dagen is de batterij leeg. Ook zonder 'bewegingsdetectie' is de batterij een lachertje. En zodra de bel z'n wifi even kwijt is begint er de ellende. Even opnieuw installeren denk je dan... Niet dus. Wat een teleurstelling van een product. Heb m 2 weken (soort van) in gebruik gehad. Hij ligt nu in mn vuilnisbak, in stukjes. Wat een opluchting;-)

.I purchased the Ring outdoor camera expecting reliable performance and accessible support. Instead, I was shocked to find that the app demanded a £1 payment just to access basic help features. This is unacceptable for a product marketed as premium home security. Hidden Charges: Asking for money to access support feels exploitative, especially when troubleshooting a device that’s already been paid for. Poor Transparency: There was no clear warning during purchase that help would be monetized. This undermines trust. Support Barrier: Charging for assistance creates a barrier for users who genuinely need help with setup or technical issues. Ring needs to rethink this model. Support should be part of the package — not a paid add-on. Until they fix this, I can’t recommend their products to others.

Expensive for what it is many better ones on the market no option for a sd card only cloud which has reached a very high price people are now going over to a tapo system you need to get your finger out ring or you will loose costumers ring doorbell and cameras are good but need sd card option not just cloud as to expensive just keeps going up and up

Ring is the worst company
Ring is the worst company, with a ridiculous product. First of all, anyone with a jammer can disable the ring cameras because they are connected into wifi. Next, if they have to be reconnected to a new wifi, if you have to change your service, which we did, you MUST hire someone to come to your home, with a tall ladder to climb up 2 or 3 stories, where ever your spot lite cameras are and press a button so that the device can reconnect to the internet. If all of that nonsense were stated clearly up front, I would not have spent hundreds of dollars on spot lights with cameras. Worthless.

Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever! No one can understand or communicate to the needs of this customer. Eighth time calling and still not resolved! Now waiting for a third ring from them. The first was purchased from Amazon. Ring asked me to return it to them and twice was sent the wrong one. Waiting for their response. RING needs to quit OutSourcing and hire people that know what they are talking about!!!

Difficult.
Why is it so hard to make simple changes? They ask you to log on, but once you log on, the changes can't be made on the app? More hassle than its worth.

Diverse ring producten gekocht. Geprobeerd om te installeren maar er zitten zoveel beveiligingssystemen in verwerkt dat installatie vastloopt en deze producten nu helaas niet te installeren zijn. Wasrdeloos koop deze producten NIET !!! Er staat code kopiëren dat doe je dan volgende pagina zegt code plakken dat doe je dan en dan verschijnen er maar vijf karakters ipv 30 ofzo. Geprobeerd de code handmatig in te voeren maar met mijn iPhone 16 pro Max laat hij niks typen. Is dit een grap ofzo hoe installer je deze troep nou ? Ik stuur het weer terug. Waardeloos spul ik ga eeer eufy gebruiken. Wou overstappen maar wat heb ik daar spijt van.

Piece of cr*p. I have 2 cameras that work fairly well. They keep dropping out of WiFi and are a nightmare if you have a good VPN. I have to re set up, they won't just reconnect. Biggest bugbear is I don't subscribe and find it beyond unbelievable they restrict my time on live camera. I will not have anymore to do with them and will not be recommending to my 2500 customers.

Alles das, was an Bewertungen bisher geschrieben ist, stimmt! Totale Abzocke! Abo-Falle! Miserabler Kundenservice, null zu erreichen! Ich werde die Geräte wieder abbauen und umtauschen!!!! Mal ehrlich: Dafür, dass ich so viele Daten preisgegeben habe, müsste ich eigentlich bezahlt werden! Wann drehen wir endlich den Spieß um?? Nie wieder so ein Produkt!!!

OMG, Video doorbell, If subscribing to there Ring plan, Be careful the online service or phone service is a nightmare , there not prepared to help, They make you feel like, we have better things to be doing, As a customer they make it as hard as possible , To help with a problem.
