Let down by Rings paid-for warranty
We have had a wired Ring Doorbell Pro for a few years now and twice it has broken. Because we pay for the rather expensive subscription service we have a lifetime (or at least as long as we pay for the subscription!) warranty. The first time the doorbell was replaced with a like-for-like, no issues. This most recent time though has been a different story. The first 3 or 4 times I contacted Ring they advised that the doorbell is discontinued and so will be replaced with the newer, "upgraded" version. Great, I thought. However, that was out of stock from their replacement inventory (it was available to buy on their website but they would not send me one of those). After over 3 months of waiting and various chasing calls, I finally got through to someone who said that they would arrange for the replacement to be sent from another European inventory. Great. We used the black faceplate on our original 2 Ring doorbell pros, as we have a black front door, and so I asked the adviser about this, as the website showed a silver faceplate for the new camera and no mention of a black one being in the box (as was the case with the original Pro, it actually came with 4 different coloured faceplates), who advised that I would be able to use my existing black faceplate as they just clip on and off. Excellent I thought. Anyway, a few days later the replacement arrived, I installed it, only to discover that I cannot use the existing black faceplate as it is too deep for the new doorbell and also the fixing screw is on the wrong side. So, I phoned Ring again, explained to them the situation, and that I had been waiting over 3 months and been told that I could use the existing black faceplate. They said that the new doorbell doesn't come with a black faceplate (yes, I know this!), and that they would see if they do one. After a few minutes the adviser came back on and said that they do sell them, if I wanted to buy one, but they would not send me one free of charge. So Ring refuse to replace like-for-like, despite us paying for their subscription plan for goodness knows how many years, and we are left with a silver doorbell which looks pretty crappy on our black door! Have been pretty pleased with Ring to this point, despite the fact that their hardware and subscriptions are both more expensive than so many of their direct competitors, but am left feeling really disappointed on this occasion and I am actively looking to replace all of our Ring cameras and the doorbell with a different brand that does a black doorbell (Blink are looking like the favourites currently).

Ring Floodlight Cam Wired - high failure rate
Camera installed in Dec23 - so far the mean time between failure is 1 year and I am currently waiting for the 3rd replacement camera to be sent out to me. Fortunately, I have a Ring basic subscription which means they will replace faulty cameras for up to 10 years (apparently). However, on each failure, I have to pay an electrician to take down. Return faulty device and wait for Ring to process/send replacement, then pay electrician to install new. Meanwhile, continuing to pay for a subscription for a service I’m not receiving. Used to have a Netatmo camera in same location for years before I “upgraded” - never had a problem with it, no subscription and it was clever enough to filter out animals which Ring doesn’t do. My bad for changing.

Asked for a replacement on a device that’s under a year and having trouble with the device I’m being looped over and over on bs instead of actually helping me. Pay alot of money out for a faulty device..

Ring Took Control of My Cameras Without My Consent
Ring automatically activated their “Virtual Security Guard” on my account the moment I added a new camera, with zero consent and no way to turn it off. This service literally took control of my cameras, intercepted alerts, and logged actions I never authorised. Support told me there was “no way” to disable it and refused to escalate — I was expected to just live with it for 30 days. For a security company to remove user control and override customer settings is outrageous. I’ve demanded they remove VSG from my account immediately, but the fact this happened at all has shattered my trust in Ring.

Ring door stuk
Ring door stuk, niet waterdicht en eerst de adapter al stuk. Laten vervangen en dan stopt de bel ermee. Is water ingelopen. Is wel waterdicht. Afijn, heb nog een camera hangen en wil graag een nieuwe deurbel bestellen. Maar nog vragen over. Kan op geen enkele manier contact krijgen met ring. Bellen niet en chat werkt ook totaal niet. Als gevolg, ik hoef niks meer van ring. Klaar mee!!! Zelfs telefonisch niet bereikbaar, werkelijk niet te geloven. Kortom, zou ring zeker niet meer aanbevelen. Ga mijn abonnement ook zeker niet meer verlengen. Die loopt vlg jaar april af. Mooi zo. Ik ga op zoek naar beter en zeker een betere dienstverlening.

Beware of fees if you buy from Norway
I am happy with the Ring products overall. But if you buy anything from their online ring shop and you live in Norway, then you will be hit with taxes and fees when the products arrive in Norway despite the fact that Ring LLC is registered in the Norwegian VOEC registry. The website will ask where you are from and redirect to a Scandinavian/Swedish site. While you may get Free Shipping included with your purchase from them, that doesn't help when you have to pay 25% vat and customs import processing fees as well to be able to release the package. For some reason the fulfillment company they use doesn't link their shipments to the VOEC number they have registered in Norway, which they technically are obligated to anyways, and that's quite disappointing! No warnings are given that you will have to pay extra fees either before you submit an order with delivery to Norway.

give a lot of problem day and night
since purchase this ring door bell always giving problems at night its doesn't work I'm tired of calling about something is wrong with my door bell its not scure people can still broke into your apartment make sure you have your camera from a different merchandise I wouldn't recommend this product to my worse enemies please don't buy its always giving problem !

Teaser: requires added subscriptions and accessories
I purchased the Battery Ring Video Doorbell plus for my mobile home. Installation instructions led to the basic subscription (another $6 per month) to get started. Also purchased an indoor chime so I would hear the alerts. When I tried to connect the doorbell to my smart TV, installation instructions advised that I needed a "dongle." The dongle is no longer available, so I installed a firestick with Alexa that was supposed to solve the problem. For the firestick to work you need the Ring Pro doorbell, another $100. I declined the additional purchase. I do not recommend the Ring Doorbells. The initial purchase price sets the buyer up for repeated accessory purchases and subscriptions. There are competitive products that do not require subscriptions and have SD ports for local memory.

DO NOT USE … AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Phoned them today and treat you like your a child, Do this do this, Is it cold, is it a busy road. 2 years and warranty runs , sundowns matter what the issue is , your not covered. Need to buy a new one. £199 for a doorbell, that was meant to be all singing and dancing, etc etc, The subscription is only for the video playback nothing else. So they are the worst in the market. Avoid at all costs.

Slecht product, slechte service
Ik heb sinds 4 jaar een wired ring deurbel pro. Maar al zeker een jaar is de screenprotector losgelaten. Ring biedt geen nieuwe, losse screenprotectors dus moet ik het doen met transparante universele protectors die keer op keer loslaten. Er af laten is geen optie, regen loopt dan in de bel. Ring biedt enkel een 30% kortingscode. Ik vind dit ronduit belachelijk. Een bel van, toentertijd ruim 200 euro is binnen 4 jaar kapot en ik kan hoogstens 30% korting krijgen. Dit is geen service en zeker ook geen goed product.

Absolutely awful Customer Service
Absolutely awful Customer Service, it basically consists of getting a ladder going to the device, resetting it and completely reinstalling it. Over and over and over again. Many other issues, this is the most infuriating. If you want to be aggravated and overcharged, install a Ring security and camera system.

Waardeloze service en kwaliteit
De klantenservice is onduidelijk en leest gewoon voor wat er op het scherm voor ze staat. Beloven van alles maar komen niks na, sturen je van het kastje naar de muur. Ring spot camera werkte niet goed meer, laden niet op na een regenbui. Daarna geen beeld meer wel geluid, weer gebeld geen oplossing. Stuur maar retour en als we geverifieerd hebben dat het de juiste camera is sturen we direct een nieuwe. Weken later nog niks gehoord of ontvangen, blijven bellen zelfde smoesjes. Camera kwijt geld kwijt, ze hebben hem ontvangen met bewijs van aflevering. Houden je aan het lijntje reageren verder niet en sturen niks.

Avevo un dispositivo che consentiva l'apertura da remoto . Ha funzionato per 1 anno e poi basta . Pessima assistenza post-vendita . Piu' gli dicevo che x un anno aveva funzionato e piu' continuavano a chiedere fotografie , peraltro gia' inviate . Una banalissima scusa per non sostituire il prodotto IN GARANZIA .

Diagnostics from top of my roof! Really!
I purchased a solar panel to link to a camera/spotlight 6 months ago and it has stopped working. The camera is working via the battery. I contacted their customer service centre for the UK which is based in Egypt. I had been 5 metres up a ladder to check the connections and cable, both of which showed no sign of damage. The customer service advisor and Manager said they couldn't help me unless I went up on the roof and performed diagnostics with them on the phone .......they are not for real! Come on Ring this is such a dangerous thing to expect your customers to do you need to rethink this one. Surely Elizabeth Hamren the CEO can accept that this is not acceptable. I have emailed her .....I am assuming I will not get a reply and if this is the case I will simply get rid of all my ring products and plan and replace with something that provides a better more sensible support model.

Hallo allemaal ik heb een nieuwe ring deurbel, veel voor betaald na een week of 4 is je aankoop verlopen, en moet je een abonnement nemen heel vreemd alles is weg aleen live kijken ,ik vindt dat de regering hier een stokje voor moet steken, terwijl bij andere deurbellen het allemaal gratis is dit is heel,slecht van Ring en ze antwoorden ook niet op reacties heel slecht voor dit bedrijf niet meer kopen ,voor dat ze de klanten tegemoet komen .......

I have a ring doorbell and 4 cameras due to safety issues my rings have been hacked into and wanted to get them working to be told I have to wait 15 days to remove guess what the doorbell and then will receive an email to delete my account but then I have to do one camera at a time which 15 days each one in my opinion I wished I never purchased them as they have caused me more stress as I'm not protected at all anymore very UNHAPPY

100% failure of what they are selling
Bought a security camera. Camera failed under warranty and we are told it's 2 MONTHS to get it replaced!!! 100% total failure when selling people on the idea of safety and security.

The camera I bought failed while under…
The camera I bought failed while under warranty. Ring said they would send a replacement. 6 months has passed since they said this and despite the camera being available on every imaginable website, with next day delivery, ring, apparently, still don’t have one. Customer service have been both good and bad but the long and short of it is… their products are very flawed (I have a few sadly and all are, at best, disappointing), customer service is frequently terrible and once they have your money, they wash their hands it seems. Please avoid them. There are good alternatives.

I bought and installed ring doorbell, chimes and power units for myself and three family members. The third member was terminally I'll and really needed the doorbell function to work. It stopped working after two weeks. I called up three times, each time being transferred and escalated multiple times. Each time being promised a replacement. Now, a year later uncle lies on his deathbed, still no replacement. Shame on you, all Ring decision makers.

The system sucks horribly!!!!!!!!!!! I have great internet service. I can surf the internet just fine. At the same time the ring will record movement and tell me there is someone at my door. So I go to look at live view and it says it can’t connect. This happens to all 4 of my cameras. Doesn’t matter if I’m on internet or cell service. It says it can’t connect but they are still recording. How do you explain that? So in the middle of the night it said someone was in my yard. Do you think I could see? NOPE!!!!!!!!! By the time the damn camera “connected” they were gone! Isn’t that why you would have the camera in the first place and live view? I pay for the service as well. I wish they wouldn’t sell this crap until they know it works. Oh and other thing, they are all hardwired so there is absolutely NO need for them not to work. Will never in my life by another ring again! I have 4 cameras, a doorbell and the chime. WASTE OF MONEY

Chaotischer Service - Miserable Produktqualität
Ich habe zwei Elite Türklingeln gekauft. Eine konnte ich installieren, die zweite nicht. Es war wären des Installationsprozesses nicht möglich mich mit dem Handy via WLAN mit dem gerät zu verbinden. Nach langem hin und her hat der Service entschieden, dass das gerät defekt ist. Ich habe ich ein Ersatzgerät erhalten. Damit hatte ich exakt das gleiche Problem, wohlgemerkt an einem Kabel, an dem eine andere Elite Klingel funktioniert. Das zweite Ersatzgerät habe ich also auch wieder zurückgeschickt. Für den Service ist der Vorgang aber nicht mehr auffindbar. Ich habe insgesamt Stunden am Telefon verbracht. Der Service ist desorganisiert und überfordert. Die Produktqualität ist miserabel. Ich beschwere mich hier nicht über die Kosten, sondern über ein Produkt, das nicht installierbar ist. Katastrophaler Gesamteindruck!! Amerikaner haben die "good enough" Mentalität - sobald etwas "good enough" ist, wird gemolken. Das ist hier genau so ein Fall - die Firma hat praktisch keine Fähigkeiten, nicht in der Produktentwicklung und nicht im Service.
