SCAM do not buy!

Very upset I bought this product. No where on the website does it say you have to buy a subscription to have the product you bought WORK! Are you kidding me?! Complete scam. And now you can not return it because they have a 30 day window. And the free subscription is 30 days. NO ONE BUY THIS PRODUCT. complete scam!

I use to love Ring but now I want OUT! The new 2 step login system is horrible. It is suppose to protect us but how it is protecting me when I am locked out of my own account for 24 hours.

RING IS INVASIVE AND YOU CANNOT STOP IT!

Ring is a company that is very high handed and makes you, without your consent, accept information that you don’t care about or want. I do not care if someone 3 miles away from me ,60 days ago, had a suspicious person walk in front of their house. I do not care that someone has lost a kitty 90 days ago to an a half miles away from me. But Ring thinks that this is information (I don’t need) but MUST keep! Rings solution is “just don’t look at that information!” Pathetic!, another company that tells me how I must live my life!!! I dumping this flawed device for another brand that actually gives me some control over what gets posted to MY phone. The “neighbors” part of Ring is just another way to invade our privacy.

Horrible

Horrible. Takes up your whole WiFi connection to where your smart Tv won’t work.you can’t really see a clear image of people or plates on a car. I’m taking this junk back. I’m warning you,unless you like to waste money I don’t recommend. Deer cameras work better then this crap.

In Calgary

In Calgary, AB Canada. This system that we paid very dear for (about 1600 CAD) IS COMPLETE GARBAGE. To tell you the truth, we've tried a couple systems but this one BY FAR takes the crap cake. Someone rings the door bell and by the time you open the app and wait through the HANG TIME to answer the door, that person will be LONG GONE (probably back at their home having dinner by then ;). Watch your ranges for your devices as their WIFI extenders are absolutely useless. I have two cameras that I've never been able to get consistent signal from. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY ... !! Don't say I didn't warn you !!!

Don't Recommend

Good camera, that's the positive. Slow response time when using the ap. By the time you're able to see and respond to the doorbell the person is gone. When you click to see who was there is says processing and takes 1 or 2 minutes. By then they have kicked in your door. Right now I have been waiting for 5 minutes for it to process who was at my door. Note, this has nothing to do with signal strength, the Ring ap says it great. I'm not sure if it is the Ring software or the what, but I would NOT recommend it. Also a 6 months or longer battery life is a joke. I average 6 to 7 weeks.

Ring, product quality and customer service 0 stars

As with many here I wish I could give it zero stars. Bought a spotlight cam which failed after 2 weeks. Contacted support which after trouble shooting said that a replacement has been ordered. Heard nothing from ring so contacted them, apparently after 2 weeks the replacement order is still being processed AND even if it was processed today (which it wont) will take at least a week to get here. The customer service is nothing short of dreadful giving scripted answers about it them escalating the issue (which would at thís stage be on the CEOs, desk. Then the communication just suddenly stops and you have to start all over again. Absolutely ridiculous service and I wish I had taken heed of these reviews previously.

I called Ring to get help trouble…

I called Ring to get help trouble shooting my Ring. It took talking to 3 different agents for over two hours. The first two agents were useless, the 3rd one solved the issue in 10 minutes. What a frustrating waste of time!

Same as all the other recent reviews. The doorbell and stickup cams are useless to view or record anything as it happens, and mostly useless for past events. I have 500 mbps internet and can’t get my back driveway camera to live view in under three or four tries even when sitting literally 12 feet from the camera. These are expensive garbage. Go with SimpliSafe or ADT if you want to pay someone for monitoring.

Amazon killed the Ring!

I bought my first Ring Doorbell back in 2016 and loved it. It was fast to notify me when someone pushed the button and fast to answered the person at the front door. In January 2018 I bought a second home in the country and installed the Ring Doorbell II and like the first one it was great. Not long after that I noticed it took several minutes to answer a ring due to the video "processing." By the time I could answer it it just showed the person driving away. It is the same for motion, video "processing." What is bad while it is "processing you can't go live view either. I have found it is faster for me when I get a ring notification to just just pull up the security camera and see who is there, because there is no way I can answer the Ring in time. The one house has high speed 600mbps cable internet, the other high speed satellite 30mbps internet. It doesn't seem to make any difference it takes forever making The Ring Doorbell totally worthless.

J'ai acheté un produit sur leur site, malheureusement la ligne domotique chez moi est principalement équipée par netatmo. Je décide de ne pas utiliser ce produit et fais une demande de retour, déjà il faut se justifier sur le pourquoi vous ne désirez plus leur produit, et avant de recevoir une étiquette de retour les relancer 3-4 fois avec plusieurs interlocuteurs tous incompétent et devant faire remonter la demande a un niveau Supérieur... Puis le sésame de retour arrive suite à des menaces de dépôt de plainte. Je renvois le produit et pas de confirmation de réception comme on me l'avait dis, je recontacte encore et la on me demande le code du produit.... mais bande de nul il est chez vous ce produit.... Et j'ai déjà renvoyer 4 fois toutes ces informations... Aujourd'hui plus de deux mois après ma première demande toujours pas de remboursement et mise en demeure de dépôt de plainte car maintenant ils ont mes sous et moi plus que des preuves de transactions... Dans deux jours ce sera le dépôt de plainte avec ma protection juridique Ne faite pas confiance à cette entreprise et surtout ne faite pas affaire vous ne serez ni écouté ni aidé et encore moins satisfait et considéré. Pour moi ring est sûrement un belle machine à sous qui fera tout pour ne pas honoré les règles et fera tout pour engranger de l'argent Fuyez

Ik heb 2 stick up camera's besteld met batterij erin. 1 camera werkt naar behoren. 1 camera heeft steeds condensvlek in beeld. Verdwijnt soms maar komt altijd weer terug. Gebeld met Ring. Zij gingen kijken naar mijn beelden en zeggen dat het maar 1 keer te zien is geweest. Is niet zo want ik zie het elke dag. De uitleg is dat hij wel weerbestendig is maar niet waterdicht! Terwijl er wordt geadverteerd dat de camera binnen en buiten geplaats kan worden. Hier kom ik dus niet verder mee. Slecht antwoord en slechte service. Ik wordt door hun terug naar Coolblue gestuurd waar ik ze besteld heb.

Zero stars actually

Zero stars actually! They sold me a ring pro with a 1 year warranty that has an internal battery that fails in two years. Battery cannot be replaced. Why is there a battery internally hardwired that has a working life of two years? So I’ll be forced to buy a new unit is why!! That’s a SCAM in my book.

Acheté il y a deux ans, je ne l'avais pas vraiment utilisé. Après plusieurs heures passée à essayer de configurer ce *#§**µµ de sonnette Wi-Fi; impossible d'avoir une connexion. J'ai échangé plusieurs email avec le centre de support mais aucun succès. Le support suspecte mon router et donc j'ai testé cet appareil avec le Hot-spot de mon smartphone sans succès. Donc sans passer par ma connexion internet Wi-fi; rien a faire. J'ai dépensé 199€ pour rien

Don’t waste your money!

It worked for the first few months and then the problems began. The “problems” were always our internet, “we need faster internet”, “the internet isn’t fast enough”, “it won’t reach the doorbell.” I got their ring chime pro to “extend the internet signal” since they told me it was our internet connection and it’s apparently hard for wi-fi to reach the doorbell outside (ummm, you sell doorbells...they are OUTSIDE!) The doorbell continued to act up and do the same thing, we call again, and it’s our “internet” so I upgrade to the fastest internet that our provider offers! Still does the same thing, call again...now it’s not our internet the device is out of warranty and we “need to buy a new one!” WHAT?! EXCUSE ME?! They did and said the EXACT same thing to multiple friends and family of ours. I’m DONE! When I called to troubleshoot the device today the representative went from understanding and nice as they usually are to dismissive. DONE! Don’t waste your time on this money pit!

Really felt deceived on the hidden cost…

Really felt deceived on the hidden cost of using these cameras. When initially reading the monthly plans, I was seeing $3 per month. Getting anymore detail was difficult. They don’t tell you it’s a dollar amount PER camera per month. The cost to maintain a reasonable archive of recordings for all cameras is crazy expensive. You can’t even get a days worth of recordings without a plan. I can’t believe it can’t be set up to record to a local device of your own to save money.

Too over price for what is worth

Too over price for what is worth . I’m a home owner I live in a dangerous area, people braking into houses and active criminal activity. This piece of crap sometimes records sometimes it doesn’t , video quality is bad even if it records you cannot see people’s faces or details all ur gonna see it’s a big blurry screen . Do not forget the times when it will black out and video tape nothing . Your house would be broken into before this piece of junk does it's job. what a waste of money.

Service unacceptable…

have had ring door bell for several years and the cameras for about three. Problem is 1. Can't change your email address via the website which has all your other profile information. 2. When you call to change your email, you get sent to Asia somewhere to speak to a nice individual who can not understand nor communicate clearly the English language. You have to rely on their antiquated system to wait for hours before it is able to spit out a six digit code for you to get back into your account and have security again. They need a serious upgrade in the technical department

Camera app Sucks

I have been a ring customer for years. Currently use them for my office security system and 2 cameras. I also have 1 home in Ohio with doorbell and 2 more security cameras. And third I have a home in Florida with a doorbell and 3 more cameras. Their recent app update forced the camera to group in type and alphabetic order. No longer can organize group your camera together per location. Technical support can not help and will just "Pass along the complaint"....

You need the subscription

It is a pretty neat device but worthless without the subscription. It's only $ 30 a year, so I subscribed, but if I had to do it over again I would definitely go in a different direction. You'll get notifications, but until the camera activates, any action is long since over. Without the subscription, live view is all you get. You need the subscription to review any activity.
