Ring is very slow to view alert, subject has passed camera long before you can view. Ring also quotes one price but charges more.

AVOID THESE CAMERAS I have 2 floodlights,A doorbell and one chime pro. After only 3 weeks One of My Floodlights are out and I can't reconnect to wifi because I'm not at my House. YES THAT"S RIGHT if you go out of Town and the stupid device gets kicked off of Wifi you can't do anything to Protect your house unless your actually right their in front of the device. the Guy said I have to get on a ladder and reset the device. AVOID THESE CAMERAS.

Free Recording like other major brands
It works fine but it's totally unfair that we have to pay for the recording. All other major brands have atleast 2 weeks free. In this age and day of cheap storage, at least one week of free storage should be offered. Doesn't make sense at all to pay even for a day or recording
Out of nowhere my Ring stopped allowing…
Out of nowhere my Ring stopped allowing me to monitor who was at my Front door. I have used it for years and have been able to look and see. If I wanted monitoring service and storage I could understand. I already pay for my WIFI service and phone. Why does Amazon need $30 for doing nothing? Makes zero sense and a terrible disservice to it's customers.

RING SHOULD SEND CONFIRMATION EMAILS ONCE A RETURN IS RECEIVED. IT TOOK MANY EMAILS AND CALLS BACK AND FORTH AND ALSO TO UPS TO PROVE I SENT BACK A DEFECTIVE CAM. I HAD PROOF THE RETURN WAS SIGNED FOR AND RING STILL SAID IT WASN'T RECEIVED...OMG RING...GET IT TOGETHER...LOST A CUSTOMER FOR GOOD !!!!!

In der Testphase wurde der Account gelöscht! Komme nicht mehr an meine Daten. Neuanmeldung hilft auch nicht, da Cam auf gelöschtem Account registriert. Mehrere Anrufe beim Support brachten nichts!

Kamera absolut wertlos in diesem Zustand, da ohne Funktion.

I have an early model
I have an early model, about 3 years old. Battery operated. Have to charge it constantly, every three to four days. And i have to set it up every single time. The charger stopped working so i bought another one. It appears to charge, but according to the app, the battery is dead. I’m done messing with this thing. I won’t buy another one.
Worst customer service on earth
Worst customer service on earth. Got a ring camera as a gift. Set up an account, waiting........waiting........waiting..........for an email to finish the set up. Every other company has no trouble finding me, why not Ring? Now I have a useless piece of plastic. No one to call, no number or email address so........Don't waste your time.

Not ready for prime time
Ok, after 9 months of using the RING system, I have a good handle on it and will share my experience.
The first thing to know is that the RING system is designed to fill a market niche and the company must sell a certain number of units to make a profit. They have determined a price point that will entice enough people to pay for such a device and they make the cameras for that price. They must cut corners to get to that price. Like the 19.95 junk you see advertised on TV. It is a low enough price that people can afford to buy it even if the claims are ridiculous, in the hopes it works as advertised which it usually doesn’t. But hey, you had fun buying it and you are the proud owner of whatever it is.
The problem is that people would not pay for a device that works as RING cameras work. Marketing must sell the product on the concept of a home security system that people would buy. Never mind RING cameras do not have the ability to deliver on its promises. So, they must make stuff up and tell you what you want to hear otherwise you would never buy it. Then they let customer service take the heat when customers are dissatisfied. They will waste your time resetting the units and telling you they understand and are really sorry, and feel your pain, “I’m here to help” and “I will fix your problem”, etc.
The advertisements say that if you are away from home and your doorbell rings, you can answer giving the appearance you are home. If you are at home and you just want to know who is at your door and tell them to go away, you can do that also. NOT!
The reality is this: when your door bell rings, you push the button to access the video feed, and the little circle goes
around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around -------- until it times out and never connects.
You get the idea. It is extremely frustrating, aggravating and annoying. You paid your money for the units, and the installation, and the cloud service, and you expect it to work as advertised which it doesn’t.
Many times, it never connects but times out because it is busy loading the recording it is making and sending it to the cloud. Whoever was at the door is long gone or already in your house. It does not work as advertised.
Customer service will push the blame on you and your internet service / speed. They will try to sell you more products to extend your internet strength. I have very fast internet service, over 1,400. I have extenders placing access right on top of the camera. The signal strength is excellent as shown in the program dashboard. And they do work in a fashion, but not well enough, certainly not as advertised. The design limits operation.

Good luck opening "live" view 80% of the time. I've spent over $500 in ring products, and I've been regretting it ever since. I can never get a live feed when someone is at my door. It always comes back as some type of connection issue, when my wifi, etc are all strong and working properly.

This product is useless
This product is useless. Not because it doesn't function, but because to use it you need a cellphone, cellphone needs a password, too slow to grab your phone and put in a password just to answer the door. Second reason: if you live in a neighborhood that really needs the product, the criminals will attempt to steal and just damage the unit. You will remove and throw in the drawer, $90 wasted and all the wiser.

Don’t waste your money!
No matter what setting you put it on, you will constantly get false motion alerts, even if you use the “wedge”. Super annoying!!! I had to turn off the motion alerts, which defeats the purpose of the product. Don’t waste your money!

Ik krijg 9 van de 10 keer geen beeld. Heb al zoveel aanpassingen gedaan om een goede verbinding te krijgen. We hebben 700mb/s internet verbindingen, maar de Ring doet het super slecht.
Sinds kort een draadloze beveiligingscamera buiten aan het huis, welke zonder problemen werkt.
Het beeld van de Ring is ook echt niet zoals je het op de tv-reclames.
Ring Video Disabled by 20 Dollar Transmitter
The Ring system works through your WiFi. Since all videos are saved in the cloud rather than locally, anything that disrupts your WiFi will disable all ring devices on the system. Porch thieves are now carrying small 20 dollar transmitters with them that will jam the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signals of your WiFi. This will scramble your WiFi signal if they get within 100 feet of your house. Your WiFi goes back to normal after they leave. But all your videos will be blank for the period of time that they are there. If Ring saved the videos on the device, even for 1 day, it would fix this problem, but they only save the videos in real time to the cloud. All other home security systems that use WiFi and don’t save videos locally are likely to be disabled this way also.
RING IS WACK
I spent countless hours calling ring and there team. My dad had recently passed away and I wanted to remove his account and add mine to the ring app. I called multiple times with no solution until some guy named Eric helped me out and someone emailed me back basically saying I need his will and I need to sign on it. So I would love to know why taking a user off the ring app is so hard but it’s easier to take a loan? Showed proof of everything including license, death certificate, some of his work cards in emails to ring and they told me I couldn’t prove I knew him. That sounds like to me you people over at ring never experienced this before or are uneducated in what they for theyre job. This ring BS is a joke🤣
We can not view when the ring notifies…
We can not view when the ring notifies us there is movement, it only gives us the option to delete. The ring does not pick up large objects in the designated area. I would NEVER purchase this again, a waste of money.
Ring vs August doorbell
I have 2 homes. My first home I installed the August doorbell which gives me screenshots of any activity at my front door at no extra cost. I decided to go with Ring for my second home since it seemed to have the stronger marketing backing online. It is definitely a lot pricier and you don't get anything from it. Not even a screen capture unless you pay recurring charges. That's total BS. I would NOT recommend this product. Too expensive and they try to get over on you with recurring charges too. Useless!

Something not made clear in the Ring Doorbell marketing materials or the instructions is that this device is worthless without purchasing the ongoing cloud subscription service.

The device does not record all motion near front door. So it is luck to get all the videos with motion. Be aware. Also support team is slow and not helpful.
Next Time, I'll Choose a Difference Company
I bought a RING doorbell for my house. Worked great for the 1st year and then started having connectivity problems. Worked with customer service who would get me up and running for a week or 2 and then I would have the same problem. They decided the device was defective and was out of warranty. For $249 bucks I expected more for my money. They offered a 35% off coupon for a new doorbell thru RING. Sorry...I'll go with a different product and different company. Too much money for a product that didn't last.

terrible phone customer service. Couldn't even speak good English! It was like he wasn't listening. He kept repeating what I said and didn't answer the question. HORRIBLE!
