AVOID RING!!!
AVOID RING!!! Purchased Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 years ago. Happy at first but as a couple of months went by, we would have packages delivered and the motion wouldn't be detected. I contacted Ring support. They said not to worry we will send you a new doorbell and just sent back your existing. I thought ok, at least they are working to resolve the issue. I am not on doorbell replacement #4!!! Yes 4 doorbells that have all given out. The most recent the quality was blah and on month 14 the connect to wifi and video stopped. Contact technical support. Same old rodeo, press the button, hold the button, shut down power at the breaker, etc. The technician agrees the wifi electronics gave out but they will not replace it because it is beyond their 12 month warranty. We also have a ring floodlight. The 1st one crapped out, they sent a replacement. In Summary - 4 doorbells have not worked and 1 floodlight has not worked. Yet they are now refusing to replace their defective products!!!!! AVOID RING!!! - Spend the extra couple of dollars for another system such as Nest or Simplisafe.

Customer service is feeble at best
Customer service is feeble at best. Ordered camera early November. After 3weeks it came in non functional. They ordered a replace camera 3 weeks ago. After initial promise to escalate replacement, still nothing!!!! Now they no longer answer emails. And I am stuck with a camera that doesn’t work and they won’t respond. Next step file contest purchase with credit card. Should have went different brand.

Returning a product: total nightmare
Worst customer service experience in a long time. I’m trying to return one of two products. No answer from help at ring.com as directed in the order documentation. Via telephone it took 90 minutes with Adrians with terrible language skills in German or English, asking for dozens of data points totally redundant as they are in their system. As bad as it gets. I cannot imagine a worse process.

Non existent customer service
Non existent customer service, is foreign sounds like India. Ring Company is not going to survive with my experience and reviews I have read. Not wasting anymore of my time, already wasted 6 hours of not figuring out anything. Do yourself a favor, avoid this company and buy some other system.

DO NOT BUY
My husband and I ordered ring and it ended up not being compatible with our home, we sent it back immediately, that in itself was a nightmare of talking to the agent to get the shipping address to return the equipment. We were told we would receive our refund when they received the equipment. They received the equipment over a week ago now and still NO refund! They owe us $500 and they are not giving us our money back. We keep getting told a different thing. We did not use or install this equipment. This business is a total rip off! DO NOT BUY!!

What a disappointment
Big disappointment. Mine stop recording because of the three dollar monthly fee they didn’t receive because my credit card had expired no one bothered to call me instead they just stopped recording. Besides that it’s hard to hear anyone speaking through the speaker it is always going off-line so you never know if it’s recording or not and they don’t notify you at all but it’s off-line so this product definitely cannot be trusted for security.

I really was persuaded by the great commercials ring has. This product is about as useful as a yellow post it on the front door. Followed all the hook-up instructions, installed a very robust wif repeater, and still this thing is just a front. Having this on your door, may keep a crook at bay if he is a dumb crook. It has lived up to NONE of the claims. My professional opinion(retired geek): it sucks! Save yourself a bunch of your hard earned money and just print off some beware of owner stickers. As with everything in USA they send our customer service to somewhere the people can't speak without a script, and have absolutely no knowledge of the product, it's specs, or even get a damn supervisor to speak with you. It's almost at the point of being a scam, hoax, witch hunt. Pull some dimes back and improve your product, or just file a BK ring. You will be closed out if you don't. Banging my head against the door that should be covered by the half assed product I bought. Merry Fn Xmas! Damn!!!

Ring on the phone is awful
The product is fine. Install team is fine. The other folks on the phones are really pretty bad. They have you on the phone for hours putting you on hold and back again. They don't have customer instincts and don't listen. They are the worst.

The WORST customer service I have ever…
The WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. First the calls are routed overseas, then when they are unable to help, and you ask to be transferred to a US call center, you will continue to get no help. Finally when you ask for a supervisor, they will also be ZERO HELP. We are regularly woke up during the night with MULTIPLE FALSE MOTIONS ALARMS!!! It is so annoying. There is NO MOTION in the video whatsoever. No tree branch blowing, no moth flying around, NOTHING MOVING. The false alerts continue throughout the day by the dozens. Many times I end up just silencing the alarm with makes the whole device pointless to own. And now I see on the news, HACKERS ARE HACKING INTO RING CAMERAS & SPYING ON PEOPLE!!! Shopping for another brand of camera now...

NEVER ABLE TO ANSWER BELL
What A JOKE. Weve had over 10 months now and only ONCE , 1 TIME BEEN ABLE TO ACCESS WHEN A PERSON AT DOOR!!!! IM LIVID! IT TAKES 3 TIMES TO LOGIN THAT INCLUDEs HAVING TO UNINSTALL & REINSTALL APP. Customer Service could use some Customer Service lessons :(
Purchased a Ring Chime from Amazon, it didn't work. I exchanged with Amazon, the 2nd Chime didn't work. I called Ring, they confirmed it didn't work. After several hours of attempting to connect and troubleshoot, they were unsympathetic. In my opinion, most companies would offer a complimentary product to ensure repeat customers. I don't think Ring cares if its customers return.

Product great .... EFFECTIVE SUPPORT NONE!!!
Product great, easy to install, but SUPPORT IS AWFUL! takes customer at least 20 min to get someone reading from a script. What a waste of customers time. Had a couple of after install issues...so I've experienced support??????

Awful
Awful, bought the chime extender, 3 outdoor cams, a doorbell cam and the full year plan. The cameras all disconnected and shutoff within 2 months with no battery issues or connectivity problems. When I asked for help they said I should get accustomed to the steps because I would likely be re-setting up my home security.

Terrible customer support
I called technical support and was on hold for 13 minutes... finally, I got to talk to someone, the person I had could not hear me even though I went all over my house and outside... The lady’s didn’t even speak English well (I think, technical Support Is not located In U.S.A That why she couldn’t hear me and can’t speak English well). In conclusion I am returning the product for terrible customer support.

I purchased a Ring doorbell and four…
I purchased a Ring doorbell and four security cameras several months ago to protect my property. Since then, I have had nothing but issues. I have an extended family member that has a hard-wired system and loves it. So, if you can hard-wire your system, this is not intended for you. But, if you intend run on batteries-only or solar, there are some things you need to know. First, the battery is integrated into the door bell, so you cannot buy a second battery and swap them when one needs charging. You have to take the entire unit off the door and charge it which is a pain given the security screw, especially during low light or inclement weather. And, you are without a doorbell while it is charging. Second, the battery/solar units use a different motion detection scheme than the hard-wired units, and there is a considerable lag before the start of video recording and notification. For example, when UPS drops off a package, I am luck to get a video recoding of the delivery man walking back to his truck; usually it’s the truck driving off. In addition, when you get an alert, by the time you unlock your phone, open the ring application (which sits there and spins forever even with great signal strength), and open up the device, forget using the voice feature or capturing the identity of a porch pirate. Unlike the commercials, all this system is going to tell you is that you have been robbed. Third, the system does not work well in inclement weather. You will have to mount the solar panel where it is protected from snow, but still gets enough sun-light (tough), or make sure to keep the panel(s) snow free (which is tough if you mount them high for the best sun-light). During a recent snow storm, I lost connection on three of my four cameras. I still have not been able to get two of those three to reconnect and I have to do it manually; they do not automatically reconnect like they advertise. Did I mention that your unit has to be within 25 feet of your router to get good signal strength? If you are farther than that, expect intermittent connectivity and even slower response times. Fourth, if you are thinking of going battery-only, and keeping a spare(s) charged that you can swap them out, you need to know that swapping batteries is not easy because it requires you to take the camera off the mounting bracket (you need a special screw drive which they provide), then you have to swap the batteries, and then you have to remount the camera); I went solar so I would not have to do that. If your camera is eight feet up or higher, you will have do this on a step latter (not fun in a foot of snow). You also need a latter to get to the reset button to reset the connection if you lose the internet. And lastly, their equipment is unreliable. One of my four security cameras has had issues since I first got it. It drained the batteries (I have two in it) multiple times despite the solar power supply apparently working normally. I notified customer service that I was having problems and never heard back from them. Speaking of customer service, I have exchanged numerous emails with customer service (they are very slow to respond, if they do) regarding some of my other issues and, despite their assurance that they could resolve my issues. After assuring me that they could get my issues resolved, I have yet to make any progress. Accordingly, I cannot give this system more than one star and I strongly suggest you look elsewhere if you are considering a battery-only or solar powered device.

Opnieuw aanmelden van het apparaat gaat niet meer.
Nadat ik een nieuwe telefoon had aangeschaft zijn de problemen begonnen. Het deurbel-apparaat is niet meer te verbinden. Mensen die aanbellen vinden geen gehoor meer. En tot overmaat van ramp reageert ring.com niet meer op verzoeken om hulp. En zo kan het apparaat eigenlijk maar beter de prullenbak in.

stick up cam battery
it work on any passing car, but when the car stop in driveway and person walk out up to the camera it dos not work!! Last time somebody walk by my car, got palm tree from garden trow it on my car and walk a way. Camera dos not have anything!!!

I should know before buying this…
I should know before buying this doorbell cam. It's telling me there was motion and I checked and never loads the video.With 400 Mbps at home. Very poor and a false promotion. Tell it like it is and don't do this to customers. Bad practice.

Terrible Product
If I could give it 0 stars I would. Have 2 of them and they are terrible. 99%of the time they don't recognize people at door unless bell is actually rung. It picks up cars passing by constantly, the flag blowing, dogs running by, but not people! What's the point in having it if it doesn't do what it's supposed to. Their support leaves a lot to be desired as well.

This camera is absolutely useless as…
This camera is absolutely useless as its motion detection is extremely poor and does not detect until that person is gone plus the camera only stores 30 seconds a video when it detects motion and then it takes another 20 seconds to reset.I strongly recommend to anybody thinking about purchasing this do not do it. I also purchased a plan for one year at $30 and the ring company changed it without my authorization and billed me on a $10 monthly without my authorization.please people do not read all them good reviews because they are a bunch of lies

Poor battery strength
I purchased my Ring doorbell in Nov 2018. It worked great for several months, then the images became skewed. Any movement had a drag & the sound goes in & out. For the past 2 days I've charged the battery & it still reads 19%. I did a device health review & it states signal strength & power is good. How is that possible at 19%? I uninstalled / reinstalled the app thinking it had not caught up with the charge. No change. I would think a rechargeable battery would last longer than 1 yr. Not sure what causes the image drag or sound distortion.
