I had a ring doorbell

I had a ring doorbell. It sucked. The picture was blurry, I had major problems with their tech support setting it up and working with me on the blurryness. They finally sent me out another after a few weeks. Same issue. Then they sent me out another where the doorbell button did not work. Three months later I purchased a Nest and I love it. I wasted so much time with Ring. They are horrible. My advise to you if your considering purchasing a ring doorbell. STOP!! Dont. Get a Nest or another one a Nest, Geeni, or Notifi, my family and friends have the other ones and love it. I know of two other people who had camera problems/issues with Ring. Hope this helps.

Tech Support will get back to me in 30 days!

I have emailed tech support four times with my problem (video freezes until car is way passed the house). I finally got a response telling me my tech would be out of the office for the next 30 days and they would get back to me upon their return. That's the tech support I'm paying for???

If you want to be dissappointed

If you want to be dissappointed, buy a Ring door bell. The 2 star rating was giveb because thats the number of days this sorry excuse for modern technology works correctly each month. Battery weakness, connection stability, no consistency of alarms and recording are part of its plague.If you want a dependable item backed by a dependable company, don't choose Ring, offered by the concieted owner you see on Shark Tank.

The Ring device is a complete waste.

The Ring device is a complete waste of money. It is glitchy at best. Once I do receive an activity alert it is SO s-l-o-w at loading that by the time the app actually loads the person/thing that triggered it is usually long gone. Oftentimes 10-15 feet away. I called the company asking how to fix this and Ring told us it was because our WiFi was located too far away. Wrong. Our modem is literally sitting 2 feet away. Then they told us it’s because the “chime” extender was plugged in too far away. Wrong. It is plugged in not even 24 inches from the actual ring device. Thier next solution? To purchase their newest model for $250. Were they willing to discount this because of our troubles. Not even a little. They told me to wait 3 months until Black Friday. What a joke. I will never purchase a ring product again. There are MUCH better products out there for a lot less. Waste of money and full of frustration.

Worst company there is and faulty…

Worst company there is and faulty cameras. Bought three of them, big mistake. Then to make matters worse, when you call for tech support they put you through to someone in Phillipines that you can't understand.

Dont wast your money

Dont wast your money, I have been on with their inept and clueless support team (some I cant even understand. On my second try with support I asked for a supervisor and after no help there she said a top tech would call me in 1 hour. Well its been 20 hours and no call. Then I tried their chatting after typing all info I get cut off, so I go back again and wait and wait NO RESPONSE. PLEASE dont waste your money

Total horror getting this returned. Absolute sh*tto be fair. Just try to get this refunded, even when its still originally packaged. Garbage BUSINESS PRACTICES. Stay away!

Faulty cameras

faulty devices.... none of our indoor cameras works.... We just recently bought a series of devices from ring (indoor and outdoor cameras, doorbell, contact and motion sensors) to install them in our house. When we received our products, none of the indoor cameras were working properly. We spoke to customer service and they sent us replacements. We just received the new cameras today and they don’t work either. We spoke to customer service again and they will send new replacements. I don’t understand how it is posible that all the cameras we have received so far and doorbell were faulty ... it truly makes me hesitant about the quality of RING products. Let’s hope the new cameras work this time!

Doesn't work as advertised

I have had problems with my ring video doorbell 2 and my stick up wired cam from day one. App keeps crashing all the time and when you tried to talk to someone it's so garbled they can't hear you and you cannot hear them. A lot of times it doesn't record when somebody comes to the door and a lot of times when it does record you're just seeing the back of them leaving. I was really hoping the system would make me feel secure in my home. I hope this company does something to fix all these problems because I am not the only one with these problems with ring. As of right now I would not buy another ring set up I will be looking for a different company. I also have excellent Wi-Fi and internet so that is not the problem is they always try to tell me. 300 Mbps download an 11 upload.

Ring doorbell is a scam

I bought ring doorbell cause they said it was excellent. The first 30 days with free support and video recording was fantastic. I didn’t want to pay for the monthly plan after the 30 days. After that the connectivity is getting worse every day I can’t even see or talk with the person at the front door when the press the ring doe bell button. The motion detection is a joke sometimes works continually and other times I can pass by the door bell 10 times and it didn’t chime. I spent $170 for the 1080p one but it is not worthy. I have a Chinese video camera system that works 100% better than the ring doorbell. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Terrible company and customer service

Terrible company and customer service, stay away they do not back up what they say have very unprofessional support team. Do not attempt to get any support via chat option because they will provide you with incorrect information that when you call they will acknowledge the information you received and acknowledge it was incorrect but will not back up or honor what you were told, they conveniently lose chat transcripts and when you request to speak to a supervisor you wait an hour and then are left to speak with someone named Abraham who is rude and completely unprofessional. This company is a joke save your money go elsewhere if you want any type of customer support or ethics in business. Oh and when you produce proof of the chat they claim you didn’t have they are quick to come up with another cover. False advertisement terrible customer service there are way too many alarm options on the market to treat customers so poorly. At this point it isn’t about the money at this point it is about the lack of support the complete and under disregard of the customer!

Saturday night August 31st I purchased a one-year plan with ring security camera app.soon as I do that the very next day I cannot even sign into my account all the sudden there's problems soon as I pay you we start having problems is this how this works.the whole free trial everything was fine but as soon as you get my money in my account stuff stuff starts not working that's not the way to start off with me I'll cancel every damn thing I got. Plus I call and I'm on hold for over 30 minutes so then I started to start pushing buttons and try to lead into something else and I get hung up on after 37 minutes is this how you alll do business. as of right now yes this is a joke website in the joke company if this is how y'all do business.

Ring devices cannot be trusted for security they are only good during the day at best As a monitoring device.! At night They do not work do not trust them and there is no repair for Their lack of coverage.

I have the ring doorbell at my Shore House. Power went out now the doorbell is not connected to the wifi. Called Tech support their is no way to reconnect it without being in front of it. This is not a good security system.

RING customer service at one time was…

RING customer service at one time was very good and could solve your problem. Now they all speak broken English and it seems their only training is a book they read as they talk to you. I now have a ring that doesn't work and they can't fix it.

Don't buy Ring video doorbell

Don't buy Ring video doorbell! I bought one and it worked great for about a year and then the company gets you hooked and requires a Ring Protect Plan to even view any of your videos. What a sleazy way to do business. They lead you to believe when you purchase the product that all you have to do is pay the purchase price of doorbell and hook up to your internet. But in time, they know they have you trapped. I can't view anything now....what's the point of having the system?!! I'm contacting a security service company since I can't use this now without paying their fee.

First one returned after 8 hours of useless help until they hung up on us. New ring would not show picture. More hours on the worst helpline ever. When the don’t want to help they hang up on u. Returning second one. Terrible experience.

First they work from home Second, they have NO CLUE what they are talking about Third, you get several statements from different people. And the device only records 30 seconds? What kind of security camera is that?

£100 for a telephone support call

I wish I could give you less than 1 star. I have made several attempts to purchase a ring plan and never got anywhere with them. My advice to Ring, START OVER !!!!!!! Im going with ADT or Brinks.

Installed the first ring doorbell and…

Installed the first ring doorbell and on the phone with tech support for an hour and told we have a defective product and to return for a new one. Got the replacement and still on the phone with tech support for another hour. Don't waste your money. Thank s product only senses the person when at the front door. I wanted to see people as they enter my yard and ring doorbell doesn't do that. Don't buy!!

58 days to receive a refund!

The product is fine, but the processing system is definately broken. I bought two ring cameras. I decided on a different ring camera, so I returned the two I no longer needed. Although ring received the cameras that were returned, they failed to return the money to my Paypal account. When I called regarding the order, they stated they had been quite overhelmed with returns, so it was nothing personal. Did I mention that they had the return for 58 DAYS! **Watch your credit card statements if you return items to ring. If I had not followed my statements, I am pretty sure they would continue to be overwhelmed with returns, and I would have never been reimbursed for the returned products.
