Dont't WASTE your money More false alarms than real notices. The ups man is come and gone by the time it comes in. I put a camera in a window and I can see more and comes up in a second. The camera cost $29 the ring spot light a $180 I could have bought 6 cameras and been safer than a bank
4 Ring doorbells that don't work.
4 Ring doorbells, 4 defective. Trying to get two Ring 2 doorbells to work on a brand new house and they wouldn't even go into set up mode. I had another Ring 2 and it did the same thing...just died. My two uear old Ring Pro works intermittently. As in...it stops working for months and then starts. Ive had wireless security cameras from Blink, Dlink, Amcrest and Reolink. None of those brands are perfect but I've never had a complete failure.

Bought the doorbell and cordless ring for the front yard. HORRIBLE on every account. The battery life is not even half of what they advertise. I bought a WiFi booster just to increase the strength for Ring to work and the time it takes my iPhone to register when someone rings the doorbell has people leaving my house before I even know they’re there. Complete disappointment and waste of money. Now both say they are offline and to turn my router on and off but that still hasn’t fixed the problem. Complete waste of energy, time, money and faith! Complete failure!
Why Buy A Ring Doorbell
I have a ring doorbell it is wired and sometimes it captures video and sometimes it doesn't. However, in the neighborhood forum where neighbors share photos of crime and suspected crime, you are not allowed to question why have a Ring if it doesn't even capture people stealing your Ring doorbell. I attempted to get more details about this in the forum, to determine if wiring the Ring doorbell provide more security from theft of the device. The Ring admins didn't see this question as related to crime. I mean REALLY?
Complete and utter garbage
I have 2 Ring floodlight devices for the front and rear of my house and have paid for an annual sub for them both.
I would advise anyone foolish enough to believe this product is a premium device to think again. It’s absolute garbage.
My internet connection is 360Mb and the whole home WiFi shows speeds of over 200Mb. I get a warning that movement has been detected and it then takes over a minute to connect or just fails even to connect at all. What’s the point?
The adverts are fake. It simply does not work like they show. I have 3 friends who similarly bought these and all have this same problem.
Ringing support “it must be your internet”... well it’s fast enough to stream 4 TVs with 4K Netflix... but too slow to connect to a ring camera at 3am when it’s nigh the only device connected.... yeh right.
Save your money, but something that works.

The ring systems are useless you buy their subscription. It is very misleading, spent hundreds of dollars and after your free subscription expires, you can no longer see your videos. It is a schemed!

The truth about the Ring Doorbell 1, that Ring do not wish you to know. With the original model 1, motion detected videos are saved for only 20-30 seconds. It offers no protection against thefts, unlike the manufacturers propaganda videos they want you to believe the doorbell will protect you against invasions.
I completed numerous tests to show this. I walked to the doorbell then drove off in my vehicle. It recorded the 20-30 seconds of motion video, then stops recording and starts recording video again when I returned home in my vehicle. Thieves can come in the night, with their torchlight shining on the Ring Doorbell, wait 30 seconds, then proceed to steel your precious $1,000,000 Lamborghini and drive off.
This is a serious design fault with the battery operated Ring Doorbell 1, to conserve battery life, by preventing excessive motion detection alerts. In this case, there would be no proof who came and stole your expensive vehicle.
All Activity Videos Deleted Without Warning!
I bought two floodlight cameras that included the "protect plan" which saves your activity videos. I was trying to check one of those recordings and it wouldn't open. There was a banner warning that my subscription needed to be renewed.
I paid they $60 for two cameras that they requested, and went back to try an open the recording I wanted to see, and still could not open it. When I contacted them and their response was: "After a paid subscription ends, the videos are permanently removed and cannot be recovered!!"
THEY DELETE ALL YOUR VIDEOS WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING AND THEY CANNOT BE RECOVERED!
Also the cameras are way too sensitive even when sensitivity is set all the way down. They go off so often, only a fool would spend his day responding to all the false warning alerts...
I want my money back
I want my money back, the has a very good concept , but it doesn't follow through. And for that reason
very disappointed with ring cameras, only 30 sec recording. My audio on the doorbell never worked. I should have went old school with cameras wired to the house and using monitors for continuous recording. I really thought Ring was going to be great. I should have flushed my money down the toilet maybe I'll be a little more happy.

I recently contacted customer service to upgrade my plan for my cameras. When I spoke to the customer service representative I was very clear that I had 2 locations in which I had cameras, however, I only had 1 location in which I wished to upgrade. For some reason ring must cancel the original plan and refund you what you paid, in order to upgrade to a new plan. In doing so my plan for BOTH locations were deleted and only 1 location was refunded and was setup. AGAIN I had only given permission to upgrade 1 location. After hanging up I attemptedto view my cameras
Location 1 was fine however for my second location I could not access anything on it so I called back customer service. The representative states in order to put my 2nd location on a plan I must pay for a plan. I told the representative I had already paid for the year and was only refunded for 1 location and had not received anything for this location, yet they charged my card again for another year of service. It took 5 phone calls and about 15 emails to finally get things sorted it. I was past from representative to representative and within about 2 weeks of a run around they finally sorted it out. I shouldn't have to be on a company for such a simple task. These people are supposed to be in charge of monitoring my home yet they cant do a simple task and listen to their customer on a simple upgrade. After the 2 week run around I suggested they give me something for the inconvenience. The representative then offered me a ring sign. On the ring website the sign goes for $50 I then told the representative that I have no use for a sign that I would prefer a gift card to the website or a credit on my account that I can use in the future if I'd make another purchase. Representative said a sign is the only option and he was now closing my ticket. I dont understand how such a large company can make a mistake and give their customers run around and then not try and make right. It's pretty sad.

They have the most useless and unintelligent customer service agents in all the companies I have ever dealt with. I will never recommend their product or buy another one as long as I live.

I bought a Ring doorbell about two years ago. The Ring doorbell would not work after a year. I was very upset since this doorbell was not cheap. I spoke with Ring and they sent me a used replacement. The doorbell worked fine for about 6 months, and now it has to be recharged every two months. I have been most unhappy with this product and will never consider buying another Ring product. I have other products from Nest, and I can honestly say, I have never had a problem with them in the past three years.

Terrible, misleading system that provides a false sense of security at best. Very unreliable. We had our truck broken into and keys stolen. Camera didn't pick up the movement. On another date we had a vehicle stolen right in front of the camera and the camera didn't activate! So upsetting and so very disappointed.
I only give it on star because I had to active a star to write review. We have cancelled our contract with Ring and are fighting to get a refund on a system device that is not reliable. Please listen to me and don't waste your money. If you buy it you will be sorry and will have my words haunting you saying, "I told you so!"

Ring offers a military discount which is generally a good thing. But today while placing an order for my grandfather who served his nation for 20 years volunteering during the Vietnam conflict not because of any love of fighting or desire to be in a war. He did so, so that some other poor soul would not be drafted. He felt it was his duty to protect the weak, and spare the unwilling. As mentioned before he served our nation for 20 years. While ordering a solar panel charger for his ring 2 doorbell he was initially offered free shipping, but when he entered his military discount code the free shipping was removed. It was not an expensive item, and the shipping wasn’t that expensive either. The reason I’m writing this review is because when he called in to speak to someone about it the first person asked him to hold and two minutes into holding the agent simply disconnected the call. He called back and wasn’t rude nor angry he simply stated what had happened and why he was calling. The agent listened, and began saying that she didn’t believe that item had free shipping. Ever the patient respectful man my grandfather pulled up a second browser page and went through the order showing that the device did in fact come with free shipping. The agent then got her supervisor to see if ring could do something about this because the shipping cost canceled pit the military discount. The supervisor simply said there was nothing he could do, and suggested my grandfather buy more if he wanted free shipping. As I mentioned before neither the discount or shipping charge was very large. The reason I’m writing this review is because ring refused to honor both saying he could have one or the other unless he spent more money. To me this was a very disrespectful thing to do. If you’re going to support the men and women who have served this nation and protected others by placing themselves in harms way then you should do so. Instead ring seems to use the military discount as a false face to tell our nation that they support our troops when in reality they don’t care. This is a despicable act that to me falls into the same category as stolen honor. The actions of ring dishonor companies who truly support our brave men and women who stand guard over our nation. I would suggest you take your business to a company that truly honors those who have / do serve our nation.

J'ai acheté une sonnette Vidéo Doorbell sur le site Ring, je la reçois 1semaine après avoir passé la commande, jusque là... Très bien. J'installe l'application sur mon téléphone, impossible de configurer l'appareil, visiblement, un problème Wi-Fi... J'appelle la Hot-Line, après plusieurs test, la personne me dit que l'appareil est défectueux et qu'il va me la remplacer, on est reparti pour 1 semaine de délai. Je reçois le nouveau, et c'est toujours la même chose, j'appelle donc une nouvelle fois la Hot-Line, et là, on me parle de bande passante trop faible, box internet trop éloignée.. Bref, que la sonnette ne pourra pas fonctionner...Incroyable, un appareil moderne soit disant, ce n'est pas du tout le cas... Très déçu en tout cas, vérifiez bien vos données Upload et download avant d'acquérir une sonnette Ring.

OK Product. Horrible customer service
Ring Alarm was easy to set up. Everything paired with the hub quickly. Install of sensors was easy. System lacks much functionality and ability to connect with non-Ring devices. Cannot have alarm auto-arm in home mode at night. The stupid base station beeps during entry delay to let a potential burglar know where the hub is and disconnect it from the internet. That may be a strategy to have people subscribe to Ring's remote monitoring which comes with cellular back-up.
Ordered Dome alarms from Ring.com website. Got an email to say it shipped within a couple days but Fedex tracking reports tracking info sent but item still at warehouse. It's been over 2 weeks with multiple emails and a phone call to tech support confirming there was an issue and my case will be "escalated". Still stuck in limbo with no news, no tracking info. Unacceptable for an online business these days!

Cant trust the cameras
Cant trust the cameras when you need them most- during motion events.they dont pick up motion well or at all especially if its fast motion. Sometimes they dont pick up motion at all.
Defective FLOODLIGHTS poor after sale customer support!
I have a Ring Doorbell pro for my new house. Works great. Then I bought TWO ring floodlight cameras @ best buy. Both products were defective and always disconnects even if the signal quality is good. Returned both flood lights and got two new replacements. Guess what? Two new replacements were defective too. Went through customer support for hours to figure it out but to no avail, and all they can offer is to send me a signal booster for free. (Which doesnt solve the problem). Decided to return flood lights instead.
Got an email from them from outreach apologizing for the bad experience from the floodlights and offered a $50 discount on my future purchase. Pls see email below attached:

So long story short, I bought a wired Ring camera two weeks ago and tried to avail the $50 discount promised. Low and behold, they. They said since I did not buy it from Ring.com i can not get it at all. Did anything on the email say that I have to buy it at Ring.com? Poor customer service.

Always disconnecting , not far from my Arlo cam which is the best, and next to Guardzilla which ranks second, ring cam is horrible, save your money, the company’s goal is to get you to pay for a subscription, it’s useless, going to replace its spot with another Arlo,I suggest you do the same

Customer service is NON existent. I have had a battery doorbell for a year, basic version and basic plan of $30 per year to keep videos for 30 to 60 days. Well, which is it?? I purchased a second doorbell for a different location. That went OK til I got online to purchase the save my video plan. The site took my money very easily with my card on file. But, I looked to see the plan and it appeared to be the upgraded plan which I did not want. Could not get ANY information on my purchase or my "plan" They just refer to my "Plan". What plan?? The $30 or the $100?? No information about that anywhere. So I tried to cancel and start over. NOPE. Spent a half hour searching for cancel only to find a link that doesn't work. Just takes me back to the Plan page. When i tried to remove my credit card from my file message was" if you remove your credit card your subscription will be cancelled"> WHAT?? Which subscription? None of this information of my own account is available. You get the drift. Shop elsewhere but be sure of account transparency and customer service from humans. There are NO HUMANS on RING>
