Extremely Dissatisfield with security system
We bought this system for our home thinking we would have a piece of mind when we aren't home and home!, BOY! was i wrong. We spent over 1000 dollars for a system that gives me more stress then anything. Here are the issues that we have.
1.Unable to connect when we have a motion alert.
2. Freezes and unable to see what is going on.
3. We have had people knocking on are door and camera does not pick them up.
4. Battery dies fast constantly recharging them.
5. Our flood camera Random disconnects.
6. Unable to correspond though voice speaker.

We have called so many times to resolve these issues and still not working YES!! we have very good WiFi Extremely disappointed !!!
Terrible customer service
I am extremely unhappy with the ring team I have had my ring for 4 months it was working fine then all of a sudden it wasn’t hardwired anymore and it stopped charging and ringing through out the house. I sent the ring team a warranty request to get a replacement and still haven’t made any headway. They keep trying to troubleshoot while it is clear the device is faulty. If you have problems with your ring don’t expect help you might as well have thrown your money down the drain because they are going to put you through the ringer to get a new device or just flat out ingore you after a while. I don’t recommend this product based on the customer service alone companies that don’t care about there customers sould not be supported.

What a disappointing product, if you want to waste your money and get into a vicious loop of unsuccessful customer service then it is ring products, good luck if you think that the live view would ever work, they need to close this is the best advise
2 for customer service rating
2 for customer service rating. Product is good and plans are ok but i was charged for 3 plans for 2 cameras. When contacted the webchat kept cutting due to delay on ring's side. I have 3 credit card statements showing 3 charges. They tell me only have 2 plans. Anyway i cancelled all plans and got refund and waiting on 1 more refund which took query up with my Bank. Good product and ok service but if something goes wrong then its rubbish
Produit pas abouti et obligation d'un abonnement
Bof très moyen comme produit, Installation facile Je m'explique. Obligé de mettre un répétiteur très proche pour obtenir (2ML) une puissance WIFI en accord avec les préconisations de RING. Application mobile pas stable, le direct 9 fois sur 10 est un écran noir. Je ne suis pas certain qu'une fois l'abonnement gratuit, les vidéos soient visibles. J'ai pris l'extension chyme qui une fois sur deux ne sonne pas.Idem pour la sonnette.
C'est un produit qui n'est pas abouti.

Ring is useless
Have had ring since March 2017 always had on high motion cuz if I don’t unless someone rings doorbell it doesn’t pick up anyone on my porch. As of January 2019 ring changed motion settings and wasn’t picking up anything, so switched it back to full motion. Now battery dies and has to be recharged manually. Ring says cuz have on high motion, I always have. So now have to put in wimpy motion so anyone can take packages off porch and ring won’t pick it up to show them it’s the device. I’m over it.
They could make customer service simpler
So maybe one star is harsh - but the customer service experience is that bad. The product is good and I have slow internet and it still is good. Instructions are easy, easy instal, etc.
I was missing a small plastic piece to keep a connector from the solar panel plugged into the camera. It is probably a 50 cent piece. I used chat service online and about an hour into the chat (horrible interface, you don’t know if they are responding or not then the message appears) learned they only help people after 30 days of service. Well let’s just say I had it 31 days and you help me!
Horrible piece of junk
Horrible piece of junk. We've had The Ring for a little over a year. Recently the darn door bell is going off at 5am via my cell which is in our bedroom. Not to mention it wakes our dog who starts barking because he thinks there someone at our door. Call The Ring support line and the customer service person said she didn't know what the problem is and offered 50.00 off of a new one if I ordered it right then. My view was why would I spend another 200.00 for an item that only lasted a year.
Does not work with satellite internet
We bought 2 flood cams 2 weeks ago. There has been issues every day Sometimes you get notifications and sometimes you do not. I never received sound alerts on my phone but my husband did. He has an inexpensive phone, where mine costs $600. After numerous support calls- and each person told us something new-we bought a chime pro to extend the wi-fi signal. We are very rural with Hughs net internet. It does not work. Ring did send us another chime pro free.Today we were told that you have to subscribe at $3 a camera to save alerts. So if you can walk around with your phone in your hand and sleep with your eyes open with your phone AND the system is working. Buy Ring. It is a piece of crap that costs $550. Unless you have cable internet DO NOT BUY!!!

I Am not happy that in the daytime it starts off clear and then gets so bright that you cannot see anything until someone is right at you door. We try to talk to people at the front door and it cuts out and/or it is so low that no one can hear you. I am so disappointed, waisted my money!

Installed this last August but by December battery kept needing to be charged. Told it was due to the cold even though I live outside Phoenix, Arizona. By February I was in contact with Customer Service by email (numerous times) and phone. After almost two months replacement was sent. Set it up last Sunday and today (Wednesday) it no longer records video. Had to call Customer Service again. Now they say problem with my wi fi. DONE! Just want my money back.

Ring is a good marketing company but…
Ring is a good marketing company but the security aspect is a joke. It’s cheap plastic wrapped in third world electronics, stuff you find at dollar stores that your kids beg you to buy because it’s super spy look alike. Get another product, and good luck returning the crap they send after 30 days. They know the product is trash.

worst customer service I have ever experienced. The agent terminated the chat without a resolution. Told me that my oneplus 5 was incompatible with Ring (the issue is I couldn't get audio from the app to the doorbell) and when i asked for a list of compatible devices the agent terminated the chat

I bought a ring doorbell (battery) and found it very frustrating having to remove the bell every time the battery ran out and had trouble connecting so I bought a ring 2 which still has the same connection issues but the removable battery is a better design albeit You have to buy a second battery to provide continuous cover, but the worst thing is you cannot access your videos (UK) without paying a fee for storage, there should be at least the facility to store on your phone/computer, dont buy these captive devices, there are far better devices on the market.

Idee super, Umsetzung Katastrophe!
Leider funktioniert das System nur bedingt. Größtenteils kann ich nicht auf die Doorbell und die Cam zugreifen. Wenn ein Aufbau der Verbindung gelingt, dauert er viel zu lange. Auch der Hinweis auf Bewegung dauert viel zu lange. Hinzu kommt noch, dass die Sprachqualität des Tons zu wünschen übrig lässt. Ein extrem lautes Rauschen und quietschen begleitet jede Betätigung.
Der Support versucht mit allen Mittel, gut Wetter zu machen, ändert tut sich allerdings nichts!!!
Ring ist daher leider nicht zu empfehlen. Traurig nur, das Amazon hinter dem Laden steckt...

OK...RING has a Face it Portrays like (Apple and Mercedes is what comes to mind). They have a GOOD PRODUCT LINE. However, Now I entered it for the third time! I purchased the Original Ring doorbell and BECAUSE IT HAS TO BE REMOVED OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!! IT eventually BROKE! (PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE) Meaning...The design is planned to do this because Newer and more expensive products will follow that remove this inane feature! But I refused to make that move! So...I purchased another Ring One Video Doorbell. And guess what? This is from RING. The software in the doorbell is obsolete and will not connect to a network. This ONLY took TWO DAYS AND THREE HOURS TO DISCOVER!!! By the way RING...Start handing some comps for this NONSENSE! On top of this I find WATER (AQUA) INSIDE THE RING SPOTLIGHT I INSTALLED TWO YEARS AGO!!!! WHISKEY TOM FOXTROT? WATER? SO THAT involved photos, approval, and resend return the item. JUST LIKE THE SECOND VIDEO DOORBELL I JUST PURCHASED! Well so Far I believe that Ring is getting off to a HORRIBLE START! Note to RING...A "Little" Goodwill in the way of 1-2 years of a FREE subscription Plan would GO A LONG WAY FOR THIS INCONVENIENCE. do they offer? NOPE!
Oh! I mistakenly Listed Mercedes Autos as a refined-excellent product. What Was I thinking? I had a C-230 that literally the Interior had the Three Stooges assemble. Over the course of ONE YEAR, 365 days, or 525,948 minutes, or 31,556,926 seconds give or take 1-2 seconds (Most of which the dam car just sat parked!) THE ENTIRE INTERIOR FELL APART! EXAMPLES: Both arm rests on front two doors, shift knob, steering wheel bezel, trim bezel molding, cup holder trim/bucket, front wheel well encasement on both sides. When it was all done and said. Mercedes was glad to repair the F*&king car for $3600.00!

Si vous installez ce dispositif en respectant le cadre légal, que vous souscrivez l'option de sauvegarde des vidéos vous pensez que les choses seront simples.
Mais le jour où un incident se produit et que l'on exige les vidéos de votre caméra RING vous devrez sauvegarder les vidéos une par une, uniquement via votre smartphone en faisant un glissé de droite à gauche et en sélectionnant l'option de sauvegarde, ensuite chaque vidéo nécessitera un temps de traitement avant l'enregistrement de 10 secondes. Vous multipliez ces étapes par le nombre de vidéos à sauvegarder et vous vous arrachez les cheveux...
Bon courage également pour savoir où vous en êtes de l'enregistrement de votre centaine de vidéos... Bref, ingérable en cas de problème.
Il existe une fonction pour supprimer en masse toutes les vidéos en les sélectionnant toutes, par contre aucune fonction pour les sauvegarder... Hallucinant !
Pour un dispositif de sécurité c'est inacceptable, d'autant que les caméras de surveillance sont soumises à une réglementation qui oblige la sauvegarde en cas d'incident.
Extremely poor customer service for someone that needs asisstance
As I owned a Ring doorbell and all seemed fine I decided to get one for my sister who lives in another part of the country I even drove and installed it for her. She has been having a lot of items stolen from her and this seemed like a good solution. After the initial charge the battery drained within 2 weeks. Because my sister needs assistance, I tried to troubleshoot the device with their support. They told me the cold weather was draining it, it was September but their so called diagnostic indicated it was working within the specs they set forth. As I mentioned my sister needs assistance to take it off and charge it which is not always available so it’s sits there not working. Not exactly what I was looking for. I have tried three times to either get it replaced or refunded and have been told they can’t do anything. My advice is if you buy I hope you get a solid device out of the box, if not you will be out of luck. They do not stand by their product. So I will buy a nest and hope for better. I can’t always get up to my sister to help so I need reliability, not a company that cares only about the sale and the monthly subscription. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

Terrible customer support experience. same scripted responses every time with no real progress. i had to contact support a dozen times to get a return label to return a product. never again. glad i didnt order more stuff. the refund process takes a whole month after sending out the package. just the worst.

Worst company to work for and even WORSE products.
This company is garbage all around.they treat great employees with IMPECCABLE stats like trash and let the bad apples roam free with no consequences. Besides that,I've always had issues with their devices and IM TRAINED THOROUGHLY on how to troubleshoot them. They have too many unnecessary bells and whistles with an even more unnecessary price tag. I personally find that zmodo cams are better. theyre less pricey and do what they're supposed to. You wont have some snooty rep on the phone tell you "it's your speeds" and that "you have to be at home in order to reset it" blah blah.
Just stay as far away from ring as possible. I wish I had.

I'll make this quick I had 2 ring security cameras 4/2 years and I noticed that it does not record after about 20 seconds it stops recording even if there's motion. Also I got a new cell phone and my cameras would no longer could be found on Wi-Fi there was no fixed for it and I had to buy a new camera system to record everything 24/7 which is much better than ring is and half the price. I would not recommend this ring crap at all they did nothing for me to solve my problems good luck
Save your money
Ditto the other reviewers who comment that by the time the app notifies that someone at the door is there they have left.
More Importantly: I recently had to replace my router and the doorbell stopped working. When I went to update it I found out that to do so I have to remove if from the side of my house to push the orange button. So many problems with this.
- You have to have saved the special screw driver in the ring box to even remove the front panel. Was I told I needed to save this??? Customer service acted like it was unusual for me to have thrown away the box but Id have to build an addition on my house if I saved every box of things I purchase.
- Removing it will loosen the wires
- Even if I had the special screw driver, I don't feel qualified to mess with something hard wired to my homes electrical system, so I'd have to hire someone to do this.
In the end, the Ring is an example of basic design flaws. If I can remove it with the "spherical screwdriver", anyone can remove it, so anyone can stale i, which defeats the purpose of having a security camera.
Feel really stupid for buying this.
