Customer Support SUCKS!!!! DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT
DON'T BUT THIS!!!!! WHAT A WASTE😡😡😡
FIRST JUST TRYING TO GET CUSTOMET SERVICE TO HELP TROUBLE SHOOT IS LIKE PULLING TEETH. VERY IMPATIENT. AFTER BEING ON THE PHONE FOR OVER 3 HOURS AND NOT RERSOLVING THE PROBLEM AND THEN TELLING ME HE WILL HAVE A SENIOR TECH CALL ME BACK WITHIN A HOUR. IM STILL WAITING 2 WEEKS LATER😠😠. CONTACTED THEM AGAIN AND WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO CALL BACK AT NIGHT AFTER 8 FOR THEM TO TROUBLE SHOOT THE PROBLEM. WTH!!! THE DOOR BELL IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY.....WHAT DOES CALLING BACK AT NIGHT WILL DO TO FIX IT???. IM PAYING A MONTHLY FEE FOR SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T WORK. CUSTOMER SUPPORT SUCKS AND SO DOES THE RING DOORBELL.
Worthless unless you have Wifi router/AP within 10 feet
Bought three flood cams for $600 and only one of them which is within 5 feet from router is good... the other two are pretty much useless as they are 12 and 15 feet from router with two walls between router and the cam. don't waste money and time especially if you are planning to use a electrician to install. Like many reviews, without wifi this is useless and they should provide Chimepro free for everyone or at least anyone who is having problem. Ring should not ask us to buy stuff from them to solve their poor design.

I bought this for a door with no bell
I bought this for a door with no bell, I have to take it down every week to charge the battery. There trying to tell me its because its cold outside. I had the ring 1 and never had a problem but this one is giving me grief and I am not getting any help what so ever, after paying the yearly fee for the warranty
I had nothing but problems with the…
I had nothing but problems with the ring doorbell, fix one problem it would work a little while then quit again or something else would not work.
I spent 4 full days trying to get it to work at no avail.
I called ring customer support multiple times without getting a successful fix.
Some how it showed up on Facebook that I loved it. NOT TRUE.
Here is my original comment:
Hello:
It took 4 days to get ring installed, including calling ring support numerous times. Each time something would work for a while then quit, then something else would quit working, also when I added my wife's phone to it, ring on her phone it would only work inadvertently.
Another complaint is after a couple days it started sending me messages "you have 28 days to Purchase Protect Plan". Each day after that it would show one less day to order it.
I called ring support again and found out it costs 30.00 per year and if I don't sign up, it will only show the last time someone pushed the doorbell or the last time the motion detector was activated.
This makes it totally worthless I am not paying the 30.00 per year. I will just send it back.

Apparently I hooked up my ring doorbell…
Apparently I hooked up my ring doorbell a year and 4 months ago and recently it went to black and white was on the phone with them to do a factory reset for almost 45 minutes only to find out I'm out of warranty after a year and 4 months. Fella said that the doorbell is malfunctioning but it's out of warranty and I need to buy a new one crock of crap. Was going to just purchase the ring Spotlight but not after this encounter I get a year and 4 months out of this thing and it goes to Black and White and they're not going to honor a replacement for me I don't think so
Not the best choice!
This set up is not for the do it yourself person!! I found it very complicated and very difficult. They are very willing to sell you the equipment, but the follow up and help is marginal. If you have decided you would like to use the entire system including their monitoring, I would not do that. There are other companies that interact with other technologies with in your home that would be a much better choice.
Finally, if you decide to do this yourself be sure and check the abilities of your Wi-Fi system. I have found with mine it is very slow and rather marginal in terms of accessibility of the various devices from ring.
Thanks
not happy with this anymore....
when i first bought the ring, i was fine with it...there was some lag and the speaker wasn't real clear but i was fine with it...i liked the ability to go back and watch missed rings on my app....now apparently you have to pay for that feature....not real cool...i believe before you had a couple hours to watch missed rings for free....now you can't do that.....on top of that i saw a video from a fellow ring user that showed someone quickly walk up to the ring and cover the camera with tape....couldn't identify the criminal....so basically the ring is useless to me....i have a kuna on my back deck and like it much better....probably will get one for my front door...anyone want a ring for free???
Thanks for your response ring.com. I have had my ring for over a year and a half now. It was not until recently where I could not review my missed rings... Pretty certain if I had known that you could not review rings, I would not have purchased this product....I would have purchased Kuna.
Disappointed Customer
I have the Ring Video Doorbell Pro, I have been a Ring customer since December 2016. When the doorbell rings it lags in real time & the live video is delayed. Wi-fi was tested with customer service representative and they noted everything was good. I purchased all necessary equipment for it to function properly but it continues to lag in real time. The real problem started when my Video Doorbell Pro stop working. Ring customer service will attempt to verbally walk you through the steps to troubleshoot the issues but to no avail my Ring doorbell has been offline since June 18, 2018 and has not worked since. I have emailed and spoke with customer service on numerous occasions on how to fix the faulty product. They suggested I replace the doorbell transformer, the wiring, etc. Everything they suggested was replaced however the Video Doorbell Pro still does not work. Ring has a one year warranty so if it does not work they suggest purchasing another Ring device. Do not waste your $249. on this sleek design.
Android app is completely unreliable
Android app is completely unreliable. Answering rings takes up to 30 seconds, by the time you have access to the video feed, the individual at the door might have already left. Sometimes the live feed cannot be accessed at all. Charges monthly subscription rates for storing footage in the cloud, despite competitor camera systems such as Arlo will do the same for free.
Overall an incredibly frustrating experience that leaves a lot to be desired.
alarm system does not work reliably
alarm system does not work reliably. had issues with set up, moved base station within 20 feet of sensors and still had problems with connectivity. Had numerous tech calls with different support agents, never able to get the same agent twice with long hold times. had even got email addres from a couple of support agents, but they did not respond. Almost drove to their Santa Monica HQ to complain. what a nightmare on set up!
Z wave technology is not reliable nor does the z web appear to work as it should. Went on a trip after install and kept getting email messages that various sensors were off line, only to get them back on line. Motion sensors are useless on a 10 foot ceiling, they just do not work even when I jump up and down immediately in front of them or at a further distance.
Called and asked for an RMA to return the product after drilling holes in my walls and suffering the install and wasting a lot of time. Support person said that it would take 2 days to issue??? again bad customer service. Good thing I did not buy the door bell as intended.
this company has serious technology and customer service issues with tech support taking 15 minute on average to connect.
this system may work for an apartment but not in my home. too bad as the concept appears to be valid, but not the technology
Buyer be V E R Y beware!
It worked partially for a couple of months and now is not working at all except the doorbell rings if someone presses it. I need to reinstall the app but it won't let me do it unless I delete the present app first. No way to delete and zero customer service. Stay away from this company nothing but lies and deceit.
READ REVIEWS AND DO YOUR RESERCH BEFORE YOU SPEND ALOT OF MONEY RING. I was reading the reviews came across…
I was reading the reviews came across the fella that had flashing floodlights on his ring. I had the same problem too. I call ring and they told me it was a hard working issue. Well after doing the hard wiring myself checking everything twice. The floodlights kept flashing still. I'm not sure why RING keeps telling customers it's the hard wiring.. I wanted my time and money from listen to there advice. Ring needs to read the customers reviews and learn to stand behind there products. Now I have one floodlight that flashes but the camera works. If someone was looking to get security cameras for your home and asked me I would tell them to stay away from RING. THEY DONT STAND BEHIND THERE PRODUCT.
If I could give the 0 stars, I would BUYER BEWARE
If I could give the 0 stars, I would. BUYER BEWARE!!! They will take your money, lie about shipping, change their stories. After being in contact with 12, yes 12 different people, problem with order was still not resolved. DO NOT BUY FROM RING.COM. They are incompetent and not truthful whatsoever. They will tell you lies about your orders; promise to ship and only provide a tracking number to a label printed, no product shipped. After contacting Ring.com multiple times, they still were unprofessional, several different answers and " social media director" reached out after 11 other people couldn't resolve the issue. What kind of management is running this company that your "customer service" can't resolve problems but your "social media director" is supposed to? Most incompetent personnel I have EVER encountered. Absolutely miserable!
Extremely disappointed - very bad experience
I have just tried to set up my new Ring Video Floodlight, and it has not been a pleasant experience. Everything looked good coming out of the box, and I had the electrician come around and install it. Before he left, we confirmed power to the unit. I then tried to setup an account on my phone, which wouldn't work - it kept telling me I needed to enter a valid phone number (which I had done). A quick call to customer service and they advised I would need to set up my account online, which I did. I then started to step through the setup process. First step was to confirm the sensor light was flashing - it wasn't. It then said to press the button on top of the unit and release it - this did not start the light flashing. Another call to customer service, and they informed me it sounded like no power was getting to the unit and I would need to get the electrician back. So I called the electrician back, and he tested the unit and confirmed power was getting through to it. So another call to customer service, who then said it must be a faulty unit and I would need to return it. I asked who was going to be paying for the electrician, who had already had to be called back for one additional visit, and would now need to come back again to install the new unit (it's the law in Australia - I can't do it myself). They told me that installation wasn't covered by the warranty. In all fairness to the customer service people I talked to, they did everything they could and were very helpful, but I am appalled that what started out as a fairly expensive floodlight system is now going to cost me a small fortune in electrician call out and installation fees, and it's all due to the unit being faulty. How is that not covered under the warranty??? I am extremely disappointed with this. As far as I'm concerned, any costs incurred due to a faulty product should be covered by the company supplying the product.
When traveling it sucks
When traveling. Takes long time to connect. Person is gone by the time it connects. Ring blames it on WiFi setting. Provider says ring is full o crap.
Horrible horrible horrible!!
Horrible horrible horrible!!! They always die. Batteries only last 1 week be4 dying. Solar panels do not work - even when facing the sun. Also, had to get my bank to file a fraudulent claim for a refund that was never issued to me from RING for a return of the home alarm system that could not be installed. They emailed phony receipts to me saying the money had been issued to my account a month prior. My bank said it had never been issued. When I explained the situation, my bank gave me a credit in the amount owed by RING and RING then was forced to finally issue the return to my bank. A bunch of scammers! Get another security system. Do not waste ur money here.
I have 3 ring doorbell first generation…
I have 3 ring doorbell first generation that worked perfectly at three residents. Then at one residence the doorbell has burned out to work at night vision. Called customer service 6 times and did hardware reset, they did reset at their end. I have a service contact to record at this location and it’s clear it does not record at night.Buy a replacement and move on!
My Ring Doorbell only works about 20%of the time!
My Ring Doorbell only works about 20% of the time. I have spent over 3 1/2 hours with tech-support on the phone. They make me do the same thing over and over and over and it still doesn’t work. I thought maybe there was something wrong with my doorbell. And they won’t send me a new one. I think they know the problem is there’s. I spent over $400 on a new Wi-Fi system and it still doesn’t work. These doorbells are junk. Customer service stinks. I even bought the ring chime extender . And that made it worse. Too much money for a piece of junk that doesn’t work and they can’t fix it. My next step is to probably go to small claims court to see if I can get my money back.
Ring Doorbell 2 - Nothing but a nightmare!
I bought a ring doorbell 2 and have been having issues with intermittently black screen recordings. I even bought a chime pro thinking my WiFi signal wasn’t strong enough for the doorbell to work correctly but that didn’t solve anything. I sent an email to customer service on August 10th and after troubleshooting the same exact things 50 times, 30 emails later there has been NO resolve to my problem. I was told a couple days ago the problem is with my WIFI and to contact my ISP and after my ISP did troubleshooting they said my WIFI is completely fine and the problem is with Ring! Seriously this ring customer service rep has thrown me in the fattest loop wasting all my time troubleshooting and has solved ZERO problems with my ring device and is now telling me to troubleshoot the same exact thing once again so he can send off my issue to some “engineer”. I’ve done literally all the troubleshooting resetting, rebooting, uninstalling, installing, opening blocked ports and seriously no solution has been brought up. I’m getting really tired of this I didn’t pay all this money to have a product that works HALF the time and doesn’t even capture events like it’s supposed to do. This is literally the worse piece of technology I have ever bought in my life and the most unhelpful customer service ever! I have never had to troubleshoot something so much before! AND no solution whatsoever still!
I have two ring floodlight Cam's
I have two ring floodlight Cam's, one works well and one does not. I have called for service the technical service department several times. They have tried to help but have not resolved the problem of the camera triggering a alarm and filming but the flood lamp will not come on at night. This is still an open issue and has not been resolved.
Bad Customer Service
I'm a new customer of Ring. I ordered alarm system, doorbell cam, spotlight cam. In there apps, it shows me how to install the Stick up Camera, then I found in Ring.com and ordered the Silicone sleeve Stick up Cam along with the picture has Camera in it. When I got the package, it's just a silicone sleeve only, no camera. I called Customer Service, they said that's my fault. They don't sell the Stick up Camera any more, this is for old customer. How can a new customer know this? I have to return the package and pay for return shipping fee. I was told Amazon owns Ring, but that is not the way Amazon treat to their customer. They put me on hold for a long time and the way they treat to the new customer is very rude. I'm really dissatisfied.:-(
Had it for 30 days And it stopped working
Had it for 30 days. And it stopped working they are giving me a hard time to replace it now Bilan.jenkins Contacted me like two weeks ago gave them all the information I been having for the last month and a half and he still hasn’t done nothing about it and then got contacted by someone named Ashlei For like two weeks now and still nothing
I was happy with my ring doorbell until…
I was happy with my ring doorbell until last night, when I was in the middle of reviewing months of videos and they all suddenly disappeared! I have done this many times before, and I don't even know how to delete more than one video at a time, but the customer service rep who returned my email today rudely blamed it all on me, saying it was "obviously" my fault. Then he told me to be more careful next time and take responsibility! Has customer service always been this rude, or just since Amazon took over? I intend to post a copy of his response on Facebook and tell everyone not to buy a Ring doorbell.
I couldn't get chat to work, and the wait on the phone was ridiculous. Sounds like they have a lot of complaints. I'm sure I can find another service that actually cares about their customers!
