Don’t buy. Horrible service.
I bought my ring doorbell camera a year and a half ago. I found it reliable about 80% of the time and the other 20% of the time, I was bounced back back-and-forth between Ring and my Internet provider. Recently the device started to act up. I had someone try to break into my house but received no alert. Then I started to receive alerts for someone at my door when there was no one at my door. The doorbell started going off, but no one rang the doorbell. I spoke to Ring 12 times in one afternoon. At no point should the customer know more about the device and the app than the tech-support person on the other end. I was finally told my doorbell was trashed and I needed to buy another one. This was after following their instructions. I disconnected the battery and I disconnected all power connections, including the solar charging facility. I then scanned and set the device up as a new device. OMG, my dead device works perfectly. I used to recommend this to everyone and now I would recommend it to no one.
Terrible service and compliance
I bought cameras, they sent the wrong ones. They refuse to correct their mistake. I have to file a small claims to fix this issue. Please keep away from them.

Do not buy! Their customer service in NOT American! You can get any issues resolved with them. Horrible! Sad! Maddening!
Every ring camera that we've purchased…
Every ring camera that we've purchased has had to be replaced within months. Some cameras 2-3 times so far. Talking to the Indian customer service people is just awful. They will ask a question and just continue talking for another minute or two never giving you a chance to just answer. They talk and talk and talk and talk. I'm on the call with them for over an hour each time for something that could have been discussed in 15 minutes. I wish I'd NEVER purchased the alarm system and all of the cameras. It just sucks.

Ring Abo und Service Katastrophal!
Wir haben eine Ring Door Bell 2 die funktioniert wenn sie empfang hat super, aber das ABO und der Service ist eine Katastrophe! 1. Wenn man die Door Bell in Richtung Gehweg oder Straße ausrichtet ist Sie mit ABO Rechtswidrig. Soweit ich das erfahren habe in allen Europäischen Ländern. - Darüber gab es keine Informationen, nur den Hinweis, Frag einen Anwalt. 2. Nach Kündigung meines Abo, habe ich keiner Erstattung bekommen. Nach 2 Wochen beim Support per Chat nachgefragt (Ahmed), bekomme ich die Antwort, man hätte es nun Rückerstattet und es würde nur 10 Werktage dauern bis es bei mir ankommt. So als sei dies der Normale Prozess gab es keine Erklärung, keine Entschuldigung, nichts. -- Ich würde deshalb niemand RING ABOs empfehlen!

**BUYERS BEWARE** I’ve purchased 3 ring devices, all of which have had trouble. 2 or 3 have needed to be replaced completely, and customer support, while products were under warranty, never was able to compensate me for having to hire people again to install these devices.
“Head” of customer support, James, was beyond condescending, stating Ring cameras are a “reasonable price point when on sale” when I actually spent over $300 on their faulty equipment. All he could do was offer to stay on the phone with me to see if he can fix my broken device (again, even after spending 45 mins days before trying to fix the device) . I have spent HOURS on the phone with this company with no resolve. They are a rip-off.

Beware of Ring
Do not get scammed by this company. I purchased a ring doorbell, flood light, cameras for indoor and backyard.
When the products break they say they will send you a new one but they never arrive.
Also, the subscription model they have is awful as they block a lot of the features unless you pay.
Many better alternatives (like Eufy). Hopefully they do not take advantage of more people.
Horrible
On my second doorbell because the battery only lasted a year. I'm now getting charged twice a month because they are convinced I'm using the dead doorbell at another house. Customer service takes 36 minutes to tell me they will refund me after grilling me about my second residence which doesn't exist. No refund is given but every time I make that 36 minute call, they assure me they are taking care of me. Don't buy from them.

1 ster is nog teveel.Heb 5 keer een andere camera moeten accepteren want geld terug is niet mogelijk en nog steeds geen werkende camera.
De klantenservice is vreselijk beloven alles en begrijpen alles maar lossen niks op .
Ik krijg geen e- mailadres om het probleem voor te leggen maar er word beloofd dat ik gebeld word wat niet gebeurd .
Na meerdere malen contact zou ik gemaild worden en zou ik terug kunnen mailen wat ook niet gebeurd.
Heb het abbonement opgezegd ,want ben inmiddels 9 mnd verder en geen reactie van ring.
Ik ga nu maar aan de slag met rechtbijstand want ik vind het schandalig dat consumenten zo behandeld worden.
Ring Battery deurbel : zeer slecht product .
Van mijn zoon een Ring Battery deurbel gekregen omdat ik slecht ter been ben en niet snel bij de deur kan komen als er aangebeld wordt.
Het is een Ring Battery deurbel van ongeveer €100,-
Ik heb snel internet en 3 Wifi versterkers waarvan er een op een meter afstand staat van de Ring deurbel.
Het probleem is nu dat als er aangebeld wordt het minimaal twee minuten duurt voordat de bel over mijn mobiel binnenkomt en vaak ook helemaal niet.
Er is niemand die meer dan een minuut blijft wachten na aanbellen ( lijkt kort maar ga maar eens een minuut
voor een deur staan te wachten , vooral pakket bezorgers ) laat staan 2 minuten ( als de bel binnenkomt op mijn mobiel.)
Meerdere malen contact gehad met de de desk service telefonisch maar daar zit personeel die lijken nog eens niet te weten wat een Ring deurbel is.
Meerdere keren de app opnieuw geïnstalleerd en mijn internet en Wifi gecheckt ; dit alles zonder resultaat.
Kortom , een zeer slecht product en zo goed bedoeld van mijn zoon voor mijn situatie. ik moest een ster invullen maar het liefst had ik dat niet gedaan.

Der Support ist eine einzige Katastrophe. Man kann grundsätzlich niemanden erreichen. Man hat auch die Möglichkeit seine Telefonnummer zu hinterlassen, um dann von Ring angerufen zu werden. Das scheint aber auch alles nur Fake zu sein. Ich habe 5 bis 6 mal meine Telefonnummer und mein Problem auf Band gesprochen. Niemals bin ich zurückgerufen worden. Eigentlich dürfte man bei der Firma nichts bestellen. Die Kameras und auch die Alarmanlage funktionieren bei mir einwandfrei. Hat man aber ein Problem- dann kann man Ring restlos vergessen.

Poor detection
7/22/25. The ring camera device detection system is shot. it use to detect plenty, more than i wanted. now i can be standing underneath it and won't be detected. The audio is garbled and missing so many motion and human events and the battery is charged. the super team is not what it use to be. And this is with a paid monthly service.
Not for Stand Alone Seurity
Ring is convenient security at its best. All required to access and control an entire Ring Security System is a cell phone. And, the phone doesn't even have to be yours. Ring will confirm without a shadow of a doubt that you are the owner of that phone and thereby the system - by sending you a text code. This security company starts with a flaw in security which is what Ring is all about. If Ring was one hundred percent certain there was not one dishonest person on the face of this planet, it wouldn't be a flaw in security. The convenience of being able to view and control one's home from afar, or for that matter possibly anyone else doing so, is indeed convenient. Ring devices integrate easily with Alexa and Amazon makes it almost instantaneous to do so. It's a user friendly system regardless of who is using it. Ring should not be used as a stand alone security system, even with paid professional monitoring. If one has something worthwhile to be protecting then a more well rounded and secure security company/system should be in place along with Ring. Either that or skip Ring altogether and go right for the more well rounded and secure system. Depends on what your while is worth.

You do a great job hiding any ability to reach customer service on your website. I need to cancel a dead camera but you just wont let me do it. I got a notice you are going to charge me in a week or so and I am very inclined to fire your sorry ass.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Not only could they could not fix a SIMPLE problem...I was on the phone 88 minutes until they got around to just admitting they had no clue.
Until I guilted them into letting me speak to a supervisor, they did everything they could to NOT let me speak to one...
I immediately cancelled my subscription and I recommend you do the same...there are NUMEROUS other companies that offer better protection at a lower price.
Check it out...this company, quite frankly, sucks.

Have a wired Ring Video doorbell which admittedly has been in place for about 4 years. The plastic covering over the camera lens has weathered and cracked so because I pay £80 per year for online video storage which includes warranty I made a warranty claim having already checked whether there was a spare part to repalce the plastic which there's not. This was turned down as the crack was put down to physical damage which isn't covered by the warranty. Apparently I'm lucky as the normal lifetime is 2 years! I will hence be cancelling the annual subscription and turning to an alternative make of video doorbell.

If I could rate it a negative star I would. Terrible customer service and app. Not user friendly nor are any of the telephone numbers in service for face to face contact. My app reads 'not acceptable' when using and the irony is the whole app and service is unacceptable. My bank will claw back my time and the charge made to my account for a product I did not want.

I've had Ring cameras for multiple years. I pay the annual subscription which is supposed to help if a camera stops working. I spoke to an agent named Mary Grace today who did everything in her power to blame me for the issues: windows, building construction, bad internet etc. I have 6 total cameras and the one having issues is closest to the wifi, all the others are significantly further than the one having issues, yet she still won't provide help. She ignored me after I requested a supervisor, and won't do anything to help. Completely worthless.
