Impossible To Cancel Account
We had a Ring Doorbell in a property we sold earlier this year - we moved country so no longer have access to the phone that is associated with the account.
The new owners of the property contacted our realtor and asked that we transfer ownership of the Ring Device to them - no problem for us but:
The Ring agent I spoke to - who was very nice and explained the Ring approach clearly and well advised that - Ring will not allow me to access our account unless I have the phone number (which I don't) or the buyer of the property takes pictures and submits several documented items to Ring.
I finally told them I wanted them to just delete my account but they said they could not do that unless the buyer sent the device pictures - I told them that this means I can not use a Ring Device again in my life - they said this was not the case, just start up an new account with a different email address.....
Very poor company approach - explained very well by a polite agent - obviously I will not be buying ring devices again.
Poor equipment lifespan
Bought 2 Ring cameras. Worked OK initially but one stopped working completely after 10months (just won’t charge) and now the second is only staying charged for less than a day and is only just over a year old. Very poor longevity for the equipment.

The doorbell video stops working constantly and it takes days and even weeks to get back working. Customer service is very poor. I don't recommend this product

Meerdere malen contact gehad over defecte camera. Meerdere malen zeggen ze terug te bellen, maar doen ze niet. Ze hebben zonder toestemming camera beelden verwijderd. Het enige wat ze doen is geld afzetten. Ondertussen al maanden zonder camera, nooit naar Ring gaan!
Customer service is beyond horrible
Customer service is beyond horrible. The fact that the English proficiency of the representative was very poor was the best part of the call. They have no idea what is going on with your order, can not find tracking numbers, and can not tell me why after 17 days I have yet to receive several of my ordered items. Yet the tracking number shows delivered, but the order shipped in 3 separate shipments, and I only have one tracking number. The representative keeps repeating the same question for 30 minutes. This could be funny as a SNL skit, but in reality it is extremely frustrating. No resolution to the issue.
Expensive and Not Worth It
In my opinion, this service was a terrible waste of my money. I subscribed on a legacy plan for years and received data storage and professional monitoring of my two systems. In the first year or so if the alarms went off I would get a call from Ring checking to see if all was ok. In the last year or so my systems went off several times and I never received a call. I did not downgrade the plan because it was $99 per year and not that bad. However, they recently had the audacity to send me an email saying they were moving me off my legacy plan to a plan that would cost 100 dollars more and that if I wanted to keep my professional monitoring I would have to pay it. To remain at the $99 cost annually I would have to drop professional monitoring, which I really wasn’t getting anyway… so I dropped it. In my opinion, this is a terrible service for the price and I would not recommend the company to a friend.
Think again on purchasing a Ring camera doorbell.
Had a lengthy power outage yesterday and the Ring doorbell / camera needed a reboot. When I removed the outer plate I noticed that the internal camera casing had begun to fail / corrode.
I contacted the help desk by the message system and after a lengthy conversation asked to speak to a supervisor and was immediately disconnected.
Decided to call and speak to a rather helpful fella but in a nutshell the Ring camera / Doorbell is not suitable for being installed outside - it cannot cope with the UK atmosphere so all warranty claims are not supported by this company - how stupid is that?
Do not buy this product weather…
Do not buy this product weather destroys it and you can't replace parts and ring workers are literally useless waste of money and effort just find a better option signed frustrated ring owner
Power Kit Pro ontbreekt!
Vandaag de Ring Pro wired en 2 Ring cameras ontvangen. Ik wil de ring deurbel aansluiten op mijn bestaande gong waardoor ik een Power Kit Pro nodig heb. Dit zat er niet bij! Op de ring website is compleet onduidelijk wat ik in de doos mag verwachten. Voor dit geld had ik alle accessories verwacht, inclusief de Power Kit Pro. De klantenservice kon me ook niet helpen waardoor ik de deurbel en de camera’s aangemeld heb voor retour. Wat een teleurstelling.😡😡 nooit meer een Ring deurbel op deze manier.

Can I just log in please?
We've had Ring for a while now. It was easy to set up and we even added an inside camera too....however not a big fan right now. I need to update my payment method but can only do that on Ring.com so I logged in and it's supposed to text a code to me. 6 times, no code. Chatted online...told me to call on the phone. Called on the phone. The rep manually sent me a text and it came through. He walked me through signing in and still no auto generated code texted. Told me I would need to restart my phone but my phone is where I was calling from....so here we are. Not a happy camper.

We moeten vaak opnieuw inloggen. We zijn wat ouder met inlogcode te moeten intikken gebeurt het wel eens dat die fout gaat. Dan wordt je telefoonnummer geblokkeerd en kan er dus geen sms gestuurd worden gestuurd met verificatiecode. Hoe je dit moet oplossen staat nergens! Dus bellen, kom eerst maar aan een telefoonnummer!. Na 5 dagen gebeld te hebben met de belofte dat op een bepaalde dag + tijd je wordt teruggebeld…. helemaal niets. Ik begrijp dat er een veiligheid ingebouwd moet worden, maar het blokkeren van je telefoonnummer gaat veelal te ver. Mogelijkheid zou moeten zijn: dat je even niet kunt inloggen maar na een half uur weer wel. Zoals bv bij de overheid. Je belt met Avalon Californië. Na helpdesk wordt er contact gemaakt met de technische afdeling die alleen maar Engels spreken. Dit allemaal voor een deurbel ZONDER abonnement. Dit is gewoon eng! Iedereen is vriendelijk en het is opgelost maar als je wat ouder bent neem deze deurbel niet.

I bought a new ring bell , but I can’t log in because it’s asking me to disconnect it from my old phone — which I no longer have. I’ve effectively been locked out for nearly a year now, and the app is completely useless. I’ve tried getting help from customer service, but the support has been terrible. Don’t waste your time or money.

Einfach nur unzufrieden mit dem Produkt nach langer Nutzung. Kamera nimmt entweder nicht auf oder dauerhaft irgendwelche Bewegungen. Keine Möglichkeit es irgendwie einzustellen, denn es wird in einer der beiden Richtungen, also keine Aufnahme oder zu viele Aufnahmen eingestellt. Etwas dazwischen gibt es nicht. Absolut enttäuschend. Empfehle niemanden die Kameras von Ring…

I thought I was investing in a state-of-the-art security system. I bought the whole shebang—five different Ring products to create a digital fortress around my home. Each product box proudly advertised a 30-day free trial of their subscription service. "Excellent," I thought, "five products, that's a good five-month trial to see if I like it."
Oh, you sweet, naive fool.
It turns out Ring's business model was designed by someone who failed basic arithmetic. My five 30-day trials didn't stack. They all activated simultaneously and expired in a single, disappointing 30-day puff of smoke.
So, I contacted their "customer service," an entity I'm now convinced is just a Magic 8-Ball that only says "Computer says no." Their first genius solution? I should activate one of my five security devices each month.
I am not joking. Their official advice was for me to create a staggered, one-month-at-a-time security grid. I should just put a sign on my front lawn: "DEAR BURGLARS: The front door is covered in June. The back garden becomes a no-go zone in July. The garage is off-limits in August. Please plan your home invasion accordingly and wipe your feet. Many thanks." Is this a security company or an event planner for criminals?
But wait, the stupidity crests further! Their other brilliant idea was for me to set up each camera as a "new location" to get the trial. So my doorbell is protecting "123 My House," my garden camera is at "The Shire, Middle Earth," and my floodlight is watching over "The Gates of Mordor." How does that help secure my one, single, actual property?! The logic is so profoundly, unbelievably THICK it could be used as a structural building material.
They have absolutely no interest in helping. They just want you on a paid plan immediately. The products are designed to make you feel secure; the company's policies feel like they're actively inviting thieves over for a four-month free-for-all. Avoid.
Rubbish product and poor warranty
Our doorbell has always been a bit rubbish - constantly disconnecting and saying poor signal despite being able to literally SEE the router when standing at the doorbell and having full signal on other devices. The battery life is rubbish unless you turn down the alerts so much that it would be useless to have the video doorbell. After 2.5 years it's totally broken - rang customer services, they confirmed it's broken. Warranty is only 1 years, which shows the lack of confidence they have in their own product. A quick Google shows how many devices break after this length of time. They offered a discount code for to buy a new one....but I'll be buying a Blink or Eufy equivalent for a fraction of the price!

Staff can't listen and hear the problems, most definitely can't fix it.
Do NOT buy ring products, eufy and others are far superior.

I’m sharing this because I think everyone needs to know: Ring doorbells have a serious security flaw. If someone nearby picks up your Ring device’s Wi-Fi signal and connects it to a regular 2.4GHz network, they can watch your live camera feed.
How do I know? Because I can see my neighbor’s live camera feed. Yes, right now. This isn’t just a guess—it’s actually happening.
I reported this to Ring’s security team right away and asked for a replacement device. That was over 40 days ago, and I’ve been stuck in a nightmare of delays, repeat calls, and broken promises ever since.
At first, they agreed to replace it—but sent me a refurbished unit instead. I had to call multiple times to explain that I bought a new device and should get a new replacement. They finally agreed—but then sent me another “certified refurbished” device.
I’ve been calling Ring again and again. Each call takes 60 to 90 minutes, always during my work hours. Every time, I’m asked to send the same photos. Every time, I have to tell my whole story again to a new agent. And now? They’ve put me on a two-week waitlist for a new device and told me to call them back after that.
This isn’t just frustrating—it’s exhausting. And it’s dangerous. Ring sells security, but they can’t even protect your privacy—or follow through when something goes wrong.
I’m posting this not just because I’m angry, but to warn others. If you own a Ring device, be careful. You may be sharing your front door view with strangers without knowing it.
To Ring: This is a serious problem, and your response has been terrible. Fix it.

Worst Customer Support EVER
I don't have any problems with the product but the customer service is probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have 6 ring cameras and recently purchased 2 more. Tracking says they were delivered but my Ring camera on my porch shows no deliveries that day. Their response was basically not our problem. I have proof from their product that it wasn't delivered and they won't help. Put in claim with credit card and was refunded but I am without the product

The plans have changed without notifying there customers I have eleven cameras with ring that were for two years on same subscription now one of the cameras has to have its own subscription it’s a plug in camera that I travel around the USA with so now there charging by location and if something goes wrong there customer service is with Philippines that don’t listen to customers as they have a tape in there mouth like a robot listen to your customers.Apparently they changed my plan without my permission now I have 2 subscriptions if you ask for a supervisor they’ll put someone else on the phone who is not a supervisor and try to fob you off with a load of spiel not relevant to the situation shame on you ring one day you will be begging for customers and wished you’d treated them better.

Ring purposely makes it very difficult to renew your current plan. Absolute time wasting!!! All they want to do is offer plans that are more expensive than the one you have and are happy with . Ring- renewing a subscription should take 30seconds or less if not on auto renewal. STOP TRYING TO EXTRACT MONEY FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS BY WASTING THEIR TIME!
