Terrible service
I have 3 cameras and a subscription.
I haven't been able to access the website for 8 days, from 3 different browsers or even from my iPhone.
I've called Ring up to 6 times, but they haven't given me any help. I spoke to the manager, and after telling me to wait 2 days for her instructions, they never called me back.
Terrible service.
In short, you buy their products, subscribe, and there's no subsequent solution if you have a problem.
Shameful. Now I'll have to waste many more hours with more calls... or leave the cameras in the storage room.

Shocking customer service.
Had a broken pan / tilt camera, spent 2 hours on the phone with customer support jumping through all sorts of hoops for them to finally decide it’s broken.
Waited 2 weeks for a replacement and they sent the wrong color! Now had to spend another hour on phone to get a replacement in the correct color ordered.
Wish I hasn’t ever bought these cameras as I’m now stuck dealing with ring or face changing cameras out.

I purchased an 8 piece Alarm Security kit online. At the time there was a notification on the product page on the site "Check out with this product to receive an email with your free installation code". I took a screen shot of the page. Waited a few days after purchase and when no email showed up contacted customer service whose response was they never have that sort of promotion for the bundle I had bought. I sent them the screen shot and they still refused to make good. Tried to use the online return process and was unsuccessful, spent almost two hours on 'phone with live agents and only have a promise of an email "within 24 hours and was relieved when authorizations arrived. Will only order Ring products on Amazon in the future.

I'm in marketing and the one thing I HATE the most is companies who utilize fraudulent price opt-in practices. In 2025, Ring changed its service. All customers were automatically added from the $9.99 plan to the $19.99 plan. An email was sent (living in Junk mail) and Ring.com seems okay to gauge their customers. Unless you opt out, you will pay DOUBLE the monthly fee. THESE PRACTICES SHOULD BE ILLEGAL AND ARE NOT OKAY.

We hebben een Home Premium abonnement genomen voor 24-uurs opname, maar Ring neemt helemaal geen 24 uur op. Drie belangrijke momenten terug willen kijken, maar juist die waren niet opgenomen. Bij test terugkijken blijkt dat er continu fragmenten ontbreken. Klantenservice is onbereikbaar: telefonisch slecht verstaanbaar, via de app kun je geen klacht indienen, en op meerdere e-mails krijgen we geen reactie. Alles van Ring inmiddels de deur uit gedaan. Absoluut geen aanrader!

Al jaren klant, van rekening gewijzigd en vergeten aan te passen en zonder dat je een waarschuwing krijgt zeggen ze gewoon je abonnement op en ben je al je beeldmateriaal kwijt van 4 camera's. En dan bieden ze ter compensatie een tientje korting op je volgende abonnement aan.
Locked out and support can't help
Apparently, if you don't have your phone then you can't use ring at all. I know it's a phone-heavy interface, but no access at all is absurd. My car was hit right in front of my house, so I wanted to review my ring footage. My phone is dead (I completely dead can't be fixed) and I'm waiting for my new device. Now phoneless, I want to login to ring on my computer. It wanted me to verify through my phone after entering my regular login info. I clicked that I don't have access to phone and it sent me to a page where I would have to verify my "biometric data" i.e. send a picture of an ID and then take a picture of myself and then ring would verify. That seemed extreme, so I contacted support via chat. They informed me that without my phone, I had no access to my account. Even doing the biometric data-verification thing apparently required my phone (according to chat guy though I think you can go through and take pics on your computer...). So, car has been hit and I have no access to my account or the footage until I get a phone in about 5 days. cool.

I was charged an annual subscription for Ring in 2023 & 2024 even though I cancelled it in 2022. Every year I call in when I get the email saying my subscription will be renewed. Each year they apologize and say a refund will be issued. I have an email from 2024 showing that I was going to be billed $0.00 since it was cancelled. However, they still charged me $49.99. When I called them, they said a refund would be issued, but after their internal review of the refund, they rejected it. This year I called in again because I got another email saying it would auto renew even though my account has been cancelled since 2022.
Btw- since Amazon purchased Ring, annual rates went from $30 to $39.99 them $49.99.

Beispiele: Es gibt 3 Modi aus, daheim und abwesend, super, ich bin zu Hause, möchte aber Nachts nur meine Außenkameras aktivieren, ==> geht nicht.
ich verlasse mein Heim, muss aber den Modus manuell auf abwesend setzen, weil ich die Kamera nicht in mein Smart-home integrieren kann. gleiches Spiel, wenn ich nach Hause komme. (es leben hier mehrere Personen, die nicht immer gleichzeitig an-/abwesend sind.) Auch Alarmauslösungen an meine Kontakte im SmartHome => nicht möglich.
Meine Nachbarn haben Zugriff auf meine Außenkameras, wenn ich nicht da bin, ihr Browser muss aber regelmäßig einen Code bekommen, da kriege ich dann eine SMS, muss den dann an meine Nachbarn geben, damit die dann mein Haus prüfen können. Ganz toll wenn ich in einer Sitzung bin und dann erst SMS verteilen muss. lt Ring dient das "MEINEM DATENSCHUTZ" und "Das System macht das", wer programmiert den den Schrott? ich etwa? und ICH WILL BESTIMMEN WELCHEN DATENSCHUTZ ICH BRAUCHE.

We bought a 2nd generation hardwired Ring doorbell.This product has a built in battery that is not replaceable. The battery failed after 15 months and Ring refuses to stand behind it. They offered a 25% discount on a new one. I told them I won't buy another one if their product only last 15 months. I am going to replace it with an Arlo which has better reviews!
Cheap devices - shocking customer service
Cheap devices - 4 stopped working and Ring refused to replace them, I have 23 cameras on the same network and they are telling me it is because of my WIFI - although cameras showing a good RSSI score are doing the same thing (not recording motion until rebooted). Absolutely shameful customer service, absolutely no idea what there are doing and do not understand what you are saying. If you want to spend hours on the phone to somebody who keeps repeating the same sentences.. and gets you absolutely no where.. buy RING!

A year ago I paid annually and I did not consent to be auto renewed to pay like that the second year. To my shock I was overdrawn without my consent.
Upon calling Ring I asked what on earth do they think they are doing no reminder nothing to tell me that you are taking ££ on this date from my account. Their reply was we don’t send reminders! What a joke they are running Mickey Mouse company. I asked why they said you should remember what you did a year ago. Wtf no one recalls a weeks ago let alone a year ago. Your bad practice of not sending a reminder out is below standards. That’s not how it works in the UK. I get reminders.
When I asked for their complaints procedure I was told they’re is no complaints procedure. What on earth is that poor procedures.
They refunded the amount they took but it’s going to take me 7 days to get it into my account.
I was passed to supervisor who had the same mentality of we have done no wrong it’s not our fault it’s your fault for agreeing. Year ago. Disgusting service who don’t know how to run a business correctly.

Ring customer service reps have just hung up on me for the last time! (Yes has happened more than once!) They're customer service reps are all uneducated baboons, I mean I have had issues with every department. On numerous occasions! They're home alarm system does not work correctly! And neither the siren, or the cops showing up, like their supposed too, happened which led my apartment to getting broken into and robbed just mere days after I set it up and went on vacation. I know I had it setup correctly because I had customer service literally walk me through the whole process and every setting. And tested it twice after finishing setup. So point blank. They're home alarm system is garbage! They're customer service is garbage! If I could I'd give ZERO stars! Here I am now out 200$ for the system and about a couple thousand for what the theives stole when they broke in. It's ridiculous. Even for good money I can't keep my house safe. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! (WYZE sec cams is a much cheaper and better alternative to home security)

I hate how my Ring cameras alert me…
I hate how my Ring cameras alert me after the fact. It should alert me as soon as motion in detected!!! Well if someone is walking by the “motion settings” all I see is that person’s shadow because person has already walked by! Also the camera is supposed to record until movement stops which is NOT the case at all. The camera will only record 120 seconds max even though there’s still movements. The police arrested some kid right next to my car and yard where the camera is facing. The camera didn’t catch the kid running towards my car, the 10 cops ordering him to get down, the kid being thrown to the ground. Just recorded when he was lifted off the ground and taken away. Like wtf? Someone broke into my car and the camera didn’t alert me until the person was walking away. Also the camera isn’t very good with WIFI signals even though I have the highest speeds and had everything checked by the internet company. They seem to go to sleep for a few hours at night as well which defeats the whole purpose of having cameras. They’re not useful to be honest.

Wish I could give less than 1 star, lens cover of my £220 Ring floodlight cam pro dropped out while it was installed (I found broken glass on the drive and checked from an upstairs bedroom window), It had been installed an untouched for 8 months so no chance of accidental damage. No option to be sent a replacement lens cover and no option offered to replace device as the damage was "physical damage". No explanation as to what the difference is between physical damage and a faulty product. Was advised at 1 point to try and fix it myself, obviously wouldn't put in writing that my warranty wouldn't be voided after said DIY fix. For such an expensive product 8 months use is simply not good enough
Ring 'continuous live view' is not continuous
I have been trying for over a year to get Ring's 'continuous live view' to work continuously so it can be used as a CCTV monitor with a dedicated wall-mounted tablet. This is so I can see my front gate. The so-called 'continuous live view' cuts out after a few minutes (or sometimes hours) asking you if you really want to keep watching, and then it cuts off completely. Ring have already admitted to me that this is the way they've designed it as their system is for motion detection surveillance and not for CCTV use. I have therefore had to buy a separate CCTV system. It is very annoying and the fact they promote 'Continuous Live Viewing' as a feature for which you have to pay extra, is in my mind fraudulent.
