Langzame terugbetaling
Heb uiteindelijk een maand nadat mijn camera retour gestuurd is contact opgenomen met ring omdat ik nog geen geld retour had ontvangen. Het lijkt erop dat ze pas over gaan op retour betaling als je ze belt, want ik krijg 1 minuut na mijn belletje een bevestiging van Paypal dat het geld geretourneerd is.
Brilliant example of a very bad company
My retired friend wanted a video doorbell at his gate so he could speak with the visitor from the comfort of his lounge without having to walk several yards every time there was someone at the gate.
Having heard much about Ring, we decided to give it a try - BIG MISTAKE. I bought the video Doorbell for him as a gift, and now I am out of pocket of couple of hundred quids, and he had to get another one after this failed attempt.
The thing never worked reliably, no matter what we tried for nearly a year. The customer service was so bad, I gave up after few attempts.
Recently I asked the customer rep for a UK return address and he said as it was outside the 30-day return window I could not do so. I didn't even want a refund at this point - just wanted the manufacturer to know just how crap their product is. There is no UK address for the corporate office on their website. Their corporate offices in Santa Monica, USA seem imaginary as the parcel was returned from there.
Looks like Amazon bought a worthless mess when they bought Ring.
Absolutely shocking customer service
Absolutely shocking customer service! And no way to raise a formal complaint at all.
I slightly feel for the reps in the phone - the company clearly is just a shambles with little to now lol iris and procedures in place.
I’m cancelling my subscription, binning my three devices and moving on asap!
After 20 months the Stickup Ring stop working
After 20 months the outdoor ring stop working for no apparent reason. The live preview cannot connect and keeps telling me to check the wifi. Ring offered my 35% discount on the purchase of a new ring..... Why would I want to spend another $150+ on a ring camera that dies out after a year and change??? This seems like a scam.
poor customer service, overcharged
Be very aware that if you move, you must make sure that you go into your account and cancel the old address, even if you move your equipment and talk to someone who claims to help you cancel the old account when you move everything to the new one. I just found out that for the past 2 years, my credit card has been double charged for my subscription. The agent was useless and told me that it's my fault (even though I spoke to someone who said they were taking care of it, but i can't prove it now) and if I wanted any chance at a refund, I would have to dispute all 24 additional charges for the past 2 years with my cc company. Considering how long we’ve been with ring, you would like that their customer service would be a little more helpful than that. We’ll be looking into alternatives now so that we can drop ring, and stop giving them anymore money.
Pathetic customer service
Ordered a spotlight cam and 2 solar panels and received 2 indoor cameras and 4 indoor cam batteries. After almost an hour on customer service explaining I got sent the wrong order all I got in return was a condescending staff member. After being handballed to 4 different people I was promised they send a return label within 48 hrs and ring would get in touch about my actual order. Been almost a month and heard nothing, extremely disappointing and ruined my mothers Christmas present. Thanks for wasting my time and money, guaranteed to never order again.
Doorbell case is peeling
Contacted them as my doorbell shell is peeling. The bell is 13 months and was told warranty didn’t cover. Was offered 30% off a new one. Won’t be buying a doorbell from them again. What a waste having to buy a new doorbell yearly.

Sagen wir mal so, das wichtigste wie schlechter Kundenservice wurde erwähnt. Aber überhaupt das Abo für Zugriff auf aufgezeichnete Videos ist mehr als frech. interessiert aber niemanden. Einfach nicht kaufen dann auch kein Überleben durch Umsatz!

En dan bieden ze ter compensatie een tientje korting op je volgende abonnement aan.
Assistenza inesistente
Acquistato a dicembre, montato come da istruzioni, non funziona (restituisce un errore in fase di test del funzionamento).
Sentita telefonicamente l’assistenza che conferma la corretta installazione. Aprono a fine dicembre un ticket al secondo livello di assistenza perché non sanno come risolvere.
A distanza di un mese li ho contattati altre 4/5 volte e ogni volta mi dicono che sollecitano senza fornire tempistiche.
Da evitare, non compratelo.

I bought a basicRing doorbell…Don't walk away from this product...run away!
I bought a basicRing doorbell subscription on a monthly payment.
On the first payment date they extracted 10 times the authorized amount. When I contacted Ring about it, I spoke to a person who was very rude and didn't seem to have a grasp of the English language. However, I was promised a refund on the overpayment. I waited almost a month and called again before the next payment was due. The so-called "associate" informed me that the previous "associate" never processed the refund. This person assured me that she was putting it through immediately. It's been 3 days and I haven't received the refund and tomorrow they are planning on extracting another payment. I am about to make one last attempt at getting my money back after I finish this review and if I get another untruth (there is a better for it obviously) I will put a stop payment on the account they think they're going to commit another wire fraud against. Amazon won't help even though the Ring account is linked to my Amazon account. I requested to return doorbell and they want charge me $5 for the privilege. My advice is to stay away from this product and it's dishonest subsidiary subscription division.
THIS IS AN UPDATE TO THIS POST:
After 3 phone calls to Ring and 1 to Amazon, I finally received the refund on the overpayment exactly one month after I started the process.
All 3 associates that I spoke to at Ring insisted that I signed up for a yearly plan. I didn't. However, I am glad that this unnecessary drama has been resolved and I have canceled the return process for the actual doorbell.

Ich versuche seit Tagen, die Firma Ring.com telefonisch zu erreichen wegen einer Kamera, die ich vor nur zwei Monaten gekauft habe und praktische unbrauchbar ist. Der Bildschirm bleibt schwarz (Kamera Vorschau nicht verfügbar) Ich versuche es schon seit Tagen, aber es ist absolut niemand telefonisch erreichbar. Es ist absurd, dass eine amerikanische Firma hier bei uns Umsätze macht, ohne uns den gebührenden Kundenservice zu bieten. Ich bin maximal frustriert."
Yesterday audio and microphone stopped…
Yesterday audio and microphone stopped working today screen gone black, lady told me to reboot and still same, she then told me to leave wrapped up in a towel for 2-3 days ? Condensation in lens which I sent picture by email to her, only had door bell camera 5 months but not able to swap or get refund instead she offered me a 15% discount to buy another device, I complained an she offered 30% discount ! She said device not water proof ??? It’s an outside doorbell security camera!! It rains it’s gonna get wet, I live on a street where 7 of my neighbours have the same device on front doors like me, I’ve asked them all if had same problem and all said no, my daughter as same device and no problems with hers, I’m very disappointed and will not recommend Ring products if this is the way they carry on, it should still be under 1 year warranty and feel I can not leave this issue and will contact citizen s advice

False advertising
False advertising. I ordered the ring doorbell partially because they were offering free installation. Supposedly I would get an email promo code for a company called OnTech which would provide the installation. I never received the email code. I fortunately took photos of the promotional but despite that Ring is not honoring the advertised special

Comprato videocitofono ring da collegare ad un Echo show. Funziona abbastanza bene, veloce. Il problema è legato all'abbonamento, in quanto dopo 30 giorni se non dai loro almeno 3,99 euro al mese (😱) il videocitofono non registra eventi. Scandaloso

Ik heb deurbel 2generatie die gewoon roest en niet meer te gebruiken is. Oplossing wat je aangeboden is om nieuwe te kopen met 30 % korting.
Ik zou geen rind deurbel meer kopen.

Katatrophaler Kundenservice
Uns wurden zwei Kameras gestohlen und das Unternehmen wirbt damit, dass sie die Kameras dann ersetzen. Wir haben nun nach ungefähr 30 Telefonaten mit dem Kundenservice und nach über 2 Monaten eine der Kameras ersetzt bekommen, die andere müssen wir wohl abschreiben...der Kundenservice ist eine einzige Vollkatastrophe, niemand hilft wirklich weiter. Man wird immer gefragt wie denn das Wetter sei, ansonsten sind angeblich immer Abteilungen verantwortlich, auf die der Kundenservice keinen Einfluss hat. Finger weg von diesem Unternehmen

Worst piece of technology ever…
Worst piece of technology ever purchased. Battery needs to be recharged every two months and if someone actually rings the doorbell, you have to open the app locate and open the microphone and speaker quickly to communicate. Invariably anyone at the front door has left by the time you have managed this. In addition if there is any change in temperature, the picture quality is totally clouded and blurred in comparison a £30 I geek camera from Amazon has crystal imagery at the same time. This device promises so much through its packaging branding but delivers very little
