Great camera not great service
Believe the reviews that you read on here. Ring is a great camera as far as I'm concerned but their neighborhood group blocks important content. They have blocked persons of interest. They protect the wrong people. I will not use their service anymore and we'll find a home security that will protect the people.
No notification of increased yearly fee
When I first signed up with ring, they charged me $39.99 for the basic plan. I thought, expensive just for basic and to just be able to save videos after having bought an expensive ring camera. Fast forward months later now in October, they charged $50.**
A $10 increase for what? It's the same service, same camera. I called them and they stated an email was sent out back in April, like 7 months earlier. I never received such an email. And, even if I did, how unprofessional to send an email months before and not a reminder weeks before they're going to charge a jacked up price. Unprofessional. I asked to speak to a supervisor and of course there wasn't 1 available. They stated one would call me up to 2 hours later. NO ONE EVER CALLED. Customer service stinks at best! Will notnrecommend Ring to anyone!
It is all or nothing!
Sure wish I had read the reviews before switching. I am at a small business on a busy street. had to turn off the ring because it goes off every 30 second when some one goes by. Would like to leave doorbell to ring but it is all or nothing. Someone standing at the door ringing the bell, I am not here so i do not know he is there. Defeats the propose. Very disappointing.
Done with Ring
I purchased Ring for my home and cameras for my parent's home. After ~9 months the solar panel at my parent's house failed and thus began my journey of dealing with Ring to attempt to get a replacement in the one-year. Ring apparently does not stock these solar panels for replacement and instead will tell you to continually call back to see if they're in stock in order to get one, and/or will send you out a smaller panel as a replacement. Will never purchase from this company again.
Expect your cameras to fail
I’ve used Ring cameras for about 5 years, always spotlight cams. They work fine, but the hardware is not reliable. Over that period I’ve had 4 cameras fail, usually after 18 months when they’re no longer under warranty. My latest to fail (Spotlight Cam Plus) has at least had the decency to do it while still in warranty (just). I really don’t expect a product costing around £100 or more to have a lifespan under 2 years. If this was an isolated incident I could understand, but it isn’t. Very, very poor quality hardware in terms of longevity.

Eind september een ringdeurbel besteld, deze is binnen gekomen maar helaas toch het verkeerde besteld. Na een lange chat, eindelijk na 3 dagen een retourlabel ontvangen. Na drie weken nog geen geld terug ontvangen. Op retourbewijs staat wel dat ze de ringdeurbel twee weken geleden ontvangen hebben. Na contact op te nemen, willen ze je ordernummer (die ik nooit ontvangen heb! ), na 6 keer uitleggen dat ik deze niet ontvangen heb, maar wel een retourlabel ontvangen heb, een retourbewijs heb en natuurlijk de afschrijving van mijn bank heb, willen ze niets anders dan je ordernummer. Ze beweren zelfs dat ik geen retourlabel heb kunnen ontvangen zonder ordernummer. Heel gek dus en helaas kunnen fluiten naar mijn geld. Bestel hier dus nooit als je niet zeker bent van je bestelling!

ik heb de RING plus pro floodlight met alarm gekocht. Alleen het alarm moet je zelf inschakelen als er iemand is! DAT worst dus NIET vermeld. Ook wordt NIET vermeld dat je een abonnement af moet sluiten om na een maand te kijken wie er wat heeft gestolen op je erf! KORTOM voor mij geen RING meer. Stelletje oplichters, wees duidelijk in je voorlichting! Ik zie nu dat het Amerikaans is dus: DOLLARS is the main factor....

Attention avec ce système les caméras ne sont pas automatiquement reliées à l'alarme, si une intrusion a lieu les caméras se déclenchent aléatoirement ... j'en ai fait la cruelle expérience...

Ik geef 1 ster voor de service, heb 3,5 week geleden producten besteld die met 3-5 werkdagen geleverd zouden worden. Elke week krijg ik te horen van een vent die vrij beroerd Nederlands spreekt dat het deze week geleverd wordt. Je raadt het al nog steeds niets ontvangen. Voor mij nooit meer een bestelling via ring.com.
Stick Up Cameras
Bought a set of 3 Stick Up Outside Cameras from Costco, all went well setting us only for one to fail completely. Had to remove all 3 and return back to Costco for a replacement set. Got a replacement set, setup and installed again & within 3 months another on failed with the same fault. Do not buy they look to be very prone to failure of the same fault. Would I buy again definitely not. Rubbish product

leider ist die APP meiner Ansicht nach völlig unzureichend.
Wenn es klingelt kommt Nachricht, aber KEIN Ton auf dem Handy. Fast eine Stunde mit dem DEUTSCHEN Support mit einer miserabel deutsch sprechenden Telefonistin gesprochen, die mich Tot und Teufel am Iphone prüfen ließ und mir dann mehrmals riet, ich solle mich doch an meinen Mobilfunkanbieter wenden, den Hinweis, dass ich mich im internen WLAN befinde wurde einfach ignoriert.
Fazit: KEINE Lösung, schau wie du klar kommst
weiteres Beispiel:wenn ich weg bin sollen alle Kameras aktiv sein, nachts bei Anwesenheit sollen nur die Außenkameras aktiv sein, die Innenkameras, wo ich mich befinde halt nicht :-).
Es gibt als Modus aber nur Abwesend oder anwesend. Warum nicht mehr Modi, die man je nach Anwendung konfigurieren kann?
Auch ein Zeitplan, dass der Modus z.B. abends oder früh wechselt geht nicht.
Wäre aber kein Problem, wenn Ring eine API zur Verfügung stellen würde, um die Kameras aus einem Smarthome anzusteuern.
So muss man früh und abends in die App und den Modus von Hand ändern. Leider Steinzeit

Confirmed equal or better replacement would be sent via email then said they had no stock but could charge me for the later model. Over an hour on the phone and still no closer to even being able to pay for the replacement.

All I want is to be able to check who has been at my door earlier in the day seems like a lot to have to pay for it.
£24.99 to £34.99 to £49.99 in just 4 years.
They constantly screw you with annual price increases and your hands are somewhat tied if you’ve invested in the hardware.
Ring has a problem connecting to…
Ring has a problem connecting to Verizon and frontier web providers, instead of reaching out to their customers the customers have to figure that out and call them so that they can troubleshoot and send one a free device that normally cost 60 bucks, however, it appears that when you call ring and you’re on hold for an extended period of time perhaps due to call volume Ring disconnects from you. Typical of some companies who get a lot of phone calls, they did leave a message so sorry so sad call back. Anybody know any other security service comparable that may have better service than Ring constantly experiencing issues with connectivity and I have Verizon.
UNAUTHORISED TRANSACTION
Replaced old doorbell with new one. Canceled basic plan for old doorbell and setup a new plan for the new doorbell. Basic plan for a single doorbell, selected basic plan for a single doorbell... ring have charged me for two doorbells and completely stopped my old doorbell basic plan.
This is an unauthorised transaction and clearly a problem with their website.
I have removed my card details and will never use ring again.
Update: Ring are refunding the full amount and canceled my subscription by request.
Ring withholding refund
Dpd confirmed that their driver returned Doorbell to Ring on 14/10/24 but as Ring can’t find it, they are refusing to give me a refund until it turns up.
Daylight robbery!
Do not order products directly from Ring, order instead from Am.zon because if something goes wrong returns are usually straight forward. If you order from Ring they will hold you responsible for its loss not themselves or the courier & refuse a refund.
Update
Ring Logistics are still refusing to provide a refund even though they have lost the package but after 2hrs 30 mins of phone calls to Ring, a very helpful customer service agent is going to try to arrange a refund using invoices from other purchases in my account.

Double My Cost For The Same Service?
So Ring has decided that the control we have, warrants doubling our cost or we can live with not being able to turn Home and Away on? I am cancelling and getting an alternative.

loving my Tapo Doorbell (TPLink). The same app controls my Kasa smart outlets (also great). Tapo uses local OR cloud storage and once tweaked (lot's of adjustments you can make) works great. It IS bigger but I have the D225.

Do not purchase Ring products
Ring is removing features from the app in an attempt to upsell customers to a higher cost plan or additional equipment. I purchased a product with a subscription based on features that were removed. This is unacceptable!!!

Ordered cost 100.00. After 5 days advised delayed. 9 days nothing. Today's call worst telephone exp of my life. Couldn't verify e mail ( gave order number). Advised no account and ordered direct on website. Still tried to get me to verify on app. Told once it had been despatched. When challenged told it was sent today despite e mail status order says nothing and an e mail will be sent when despatched and not received. After 40mins still trying to verify via app... then after telling at least 6 times the penny dropped re direct from website. 4p mins on and still no idea if my bell/ chime is ordered / despatched or in timbuktu!!!
