I used to trust this company. I can no longer recommend using their product. After purchasing a ring camera and a 1 year plan. They changed the features in the plan to take away vital features for ease of use and convenience. I still had multiple months left on my plan and they refused to honor the agreement. To get the features back they wanted basically double the price. How can you trust a security company that wont honor their own plans.

The camera is adequate but the company is horrible. It's incredibly hard to reach customer service and they're not very helpful. The company decided to double their fee or the device barely functions. It went from $50/year to $100/year to have the ability to turn off the camera. You seriously can't turn it off with the basic plan. Blink is a better product for the price.

The owner of a Ring product has a better chance of getting God on the phone. Period. Here's the deal, we are humans, some humans have abusive spouses or ex-spouses. Those humans need IMMEDIATE help. Not "Oh, we'll get back to you in 4 hours" Just because your life is rose petals, does NOT mean there shouldn't be considerations for everyone! You are getting rich on people's fears, after all.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Incorrect item delivered. Took 52 minutes on the phone for them to refund me. Now I’ve had to pay for postage to get the correct item sent to me.
Refused to honour lifetime warranty for the protect plus plan
Paid for the ring protect plus plan. When I contacted as the doorbell camera lens is disintegrated and peeling off, which is a known fault. They refused to honour the protect plus agreement and said it was wearing tear obviously not worth the paper it’s written on. Subsequently cancelled my plan. Would not recommend there is many more stick camera companies out there where you don’t pay a subscription to store your video.

Système d'alarme acheté il y a un an. Si la caméra s'est connecté en Wifi sans problème et fonctionne correctement. Il n'en a pas été de même, d'emblée, avec les capteurs et la base, aucune communication entre ceux-ci. J'ai appelé plusieurs fois le service après vente, j'ai eu des personnes aimables (Égypte et autre pays) qui m'ont fait faire un tas de manipulations qui n'ont abouti à rien. A chaque fois, c'était parti pour au moins une heure trente voire deux. Usant ! J'ai eu des interlocuteurs américains aussi qui après m'avoir refait faire des manipulations m'ont dit, une fois, de laisser ma base connectée en wifi pour faire un mise à jour. Pas mieux, je ne suis même pas sûre qu'ils aient tenté quoique ce soit. La dernière fois, enfin, on me promet l'envoi d'une nouvelle base.... Je l'attends toujours. Clairement je ne conseillerai pas ce produit ni cette entreprise

Ring customer service doesn’t even deserve one star, but unfortunately, Trustpilot doesn't allow for zero stars.
I’ve been a Ring customer for over ten years and have always found the equipment easy to set up and the app user-friendly with great features. Until recently, my experience with customer service had been straightforward and uncomplicated. However, everything changed after I renewed my annual subscription and purchased additional batteries, cameras, and a Ring Chime using a promotional code.
I decided to return four Spotlight Cam Plus “Battery” cameras and upgrade to the top-spec Spotlight Cam Pro “Battery.” You’d think this would be a simple process, but it turned out to be anything but. From that point on, my experience with Ring customer service has been the worst I’ve encountered in my 15 years of online shopping.
The customer service is only available via phone, and they refuse to provide an email address or any written correspondence, making it impossible to keep a paper trail of my interactions. Instead, I had to rely on recorded calls to document what was said.
Ring’s customer service team has made numerous mistakes, including issuing an incorrect refund when setting up my annual subscription and charging me for a Ring Chime despite providing a voucher for a free item. The most frustrating part has been the return process; after using a courier service arranged by Ring, they claimed that the package was empty and failed to contact me or investigate with the courier for two months. Their website states that refunds are issued upon receipt of returned items, yet they are now making serious allegations without any follow-up.
The quality of customer service at Ring is appalling, and it’s clear that internal changes are needed to improve their team's approach. Many reviews echo my sentiments about the painful and inadequate support. After six hours of phone calls, I still have no resolution, and they refuse to provide a correspondence address for legal action, leaving me feeling trapped in a frustrating cycle.
It's worth noting that Ring appointed a new CEO, Elizabeth Hamren, last year. Now, I’ve had to hire a solicitor to resolve this matter, who has managed to find contact details that I’m sharing below in hopes of helping others navigate their issues at higher levels.
If you’re considering purchasing a Ring security camera, I strongly recommend you think twice about the lack of support. There are certainly better options out there.

This company and their paid monitoring is a JOKE. We intentionally set off the alarm - guess what - NOBODY at the paid service ever called. Oh, you have to lose an entire year of payment no matter how crappy thois service is - THAT is why they don't bill by the month, because few people will continue because of the scam service they sell. It is WORTHLESS. You can only contact Ring about "canned" issues they set up in their own phone tree/website, and complaining about anything is NOT something they want to hear. THEY stole our money - LAST TIME. and know who really runs this AMAZON

I’d get a regular doorbell
So far, the 2 times that I haven’t been home when the doorbell was pressed and I answered it on my phone, I was unable to recognize either of the people due to the poor video. I did, however, see that there was a package waiting for me each time. I guess the people that rang the bell took the packages.
Ring customer service sucks at ring. Staff did not help at all.
When Ring first started doing business years ago their customer service was great and their devices worked perfectly.
Now i spent over two hours "trying to explain" the assistance i needed - several representatives whom spoke with, appear with Philippines accent, were very antagonizing and totally refused to assist me with a simple question i had on my devices. They are lying to me about the Ring camera customer service is horrible.
Was a 5 star service until they removed serviced we paid a year in advance.
Was a 5 star service until they decided to eliminate the main feature they offered, 24/7 backup Internet. We are now at an over $1500 loss and prepaid for this service they are removing. Where can we go for legal action against this corporate monstrosity? I have filed a claim with the BBB, and am going to the FTC next!

I wish I could give rating 0 or -0. Expensive and no good without subscription. I have had it for two years it rang on my mobile couple of times and that's it and never rang on my mobile. People would ring the bell and it would not ring on my phone even when I am at home. Did everything suggested on help line. I am going to buy from other companies that has memory card and do not require subscriptions. My recommendation don't buy ring door bell.

Hier hebben ze geen procedure/proces voor. Veel abonnementen opgezegd wat zonder problemen gaat en dit nog niet eerder meegemaakt. Bij Ring moet je dus voordat je dood denkt te gaan/gaat je abonnement al opzeggen.

Have been a ring customer for over 8 years and have noticed a remarkable drop in their level of support and customer service. I pay the $100 a year for the replacement plan and am currently on week 4 waiting for a replacement - yet the camera is in stock online and in stores. When I call support it takes hours to speak with an agent and they are not able to resolve issues both via Facebook chat or on the phone.

Avoid Ring at all costs ! Terrible company zero customer service, robot responses, no complaints procedure, Ring doorbell is unreliable. Had 2 ring doorbells both went wrong a couple of months after the warranty had expired apparently cannot connect to set up ! Same both timw which seems a bit strange but when you call they always have a 30% discount to hand ! This is the robot answers ……… it’s a shame because security cameras work well. I ask to speak to complaints there isn’t one they finally put me through to a manager who had the same robot answers didn’t listen to one word I said no care for there customers at all ! Would never use again.

I’m waiting for my replacement 3 weeks now . I did called customer service so many times they make new excuses every time and cut off my phone. They are keep saying your delivery coming today but nothing yet. Very very disappointed with that service
DO NOT BUY RING!
As a relatively intelligent customer the engagement between myself and the employees is so scripted it’s ridiculous. No matter what your issue is you are going to go from A-Z no matter what. They don’t listen, they talk to you as if you’re an idiot and rarely resolve the issues, and always put the blame on the customer.
#1 - any and all troubleshooting is labor intensive for the customer, you do unnecessary steps in one direction when your issue is in the other.
#2 - The company will not give the representatives the necessary autonomy to resolve the issue. They’d rather argue. #3 - Rather than resolve my issue for me they directly stated they were going to reprimand the CS rep that made the mistake. NOT OK! Human beings make mistakes or am I mistaken?
#4 - Ring is owned by Amazon. Both Google and Amazon support Israel and both have contracts to continue to support Israel with Cloud computing services and security equipment including AI.
#5 - I paid for a plan from 6/22/24 $100 per year. That service did not work due to an error. Fast forward to 9/27/24, service was finally restored on this day but no refund will be authorized for system error on their part. No service for 3 full months but no action other than reprimanding the customer service rep for not flipping a switch correctly. Are you KIDDING ME?’
Don’t buy
If all you want is a camera, they’re ok. Their software is garbage. Their online support is useless. I’d say they are more useless than xfinity/comcast.
