I attempted to call Ring Customer Service today for assistance with a Ring device that keeps going offline. The call was answered by a woman in a call center who barely spoke English. She kept trying to answer the call as if she were a Ring employee but after several attempts, she was unable to say the Ring name. It sounded like she was in a call center that answers calls for multiple companies and she couldn't remember which company she was supposed to be representing. After 3 attempts to say the Ring name and stuttering over her words, I hung up. When I bought my first Ring doorbell, their customer service was excellent. Now that they have grown, they are farming their customer service out to call centers where the representatives can't even say the name of the company.

Protect plan required - Important features enabled
Protect plan required. I have bought and installed two surveillance cameras. Unfortunately to many features, such as video capturing etc requires a "protection plan". I do not want to have and pay extra for the protection plan. I have bought two cameras. Several important features are unabled eventhough I have bought the products.
Beside this it is very difficult to understand the instructions, even if I have read and tried them out the several times.
I have decided to buy other produducts from another enterprice

camera broke, long website troubleshoot, long phone call, replaced at an indeterminate time in the future while still paying subscription as required by UK Law, no compensation for loss of service and inconvenience, poor customer service, avoid.
Three strikes
I purchased my third Ring pro when we moved to our new home. The first two worked ok. The chime door bell accessories are worthless. Constantly having to reset them. I had one to stop working after less than six months. Now with the New Ring Pro. The night vision is really poor. And the day vision is better but
Not great. I am in the process of looking for a better night vision door bell camera and it will not be ring. I wouldn't recommend nor ever buy another one.

Told me it wasn't auto renewing
Told me it wasn't auto renewing, then it auto-renewed. THEN, I can't login, because I need the app. THEN customer service told me I was wrong, and I didn't need the app, and that the problem was on my end. So I guess I'm filing a chargeback and changing my credit card number over this. Real cool Ring.

Absolutely a rip off do not buy any ring products. £15 increase last from £35 to £50 not paying for now.

Not built to last
I moved into a home with an existing Ring doorbell that the previous owners had left behind. It took a while to transfer the account to me but, once that was done, it seemed to work fine, until it didn’t. I had to replace the doorbell after a year when it simply malfunctioned. I had no other option because - of course - the chime units will not work with other companies’ doorbells. Two years on, and the replacement unit has also now malfunctioned, and moreover it looks like a piece of s*** - oddly, for something designed to be used outside. I’m done with Ring, and am going to ask for a refund under New Zealand’s consumer protection laws. Wish me luck!

Not Good Experience
This product worked fine until it didn't. After recharging the battery, we were required to update the software. We tried to let that happen overnight and it never updated. We tried again and it just was stuck. When my husband tried to connect his phone, it sent an email to his address but then said it could not recognize the browser.
Ring Doorbells are a total SCAM
Ring Doorbells are a total SCAM. They give you a free 30 day trial of their Ring Protect Plan so that everyone loves the product. This trail runs out exactly the same time as the product return/refund time period expires. Amazon won’t even let you leave negatives feedback to warn future buyers that the device is total garbage without the subscription. Some of us cannot afford another subscription chewing away at our pensions. What an awesome business plan you’ve created- Brilliant! Well I’m pretty sure the word will get out and the Ring Doorbell company will crash and burn!
I will remove the device and put it in the garbage were it belongs because apparently I am stuck with it. I will purchase a replacement product from a reputable company who is not out to scam their customers!!

The customer service was bad, the man name David was rude, didn't help at all.
The light on my flood light is dead, couldn't turn on. I called the customer service 3 times, they kept asking me to call back, didn't fix the problem. David is very bad. Disappointed about Ring service.

Ich hatte mir eine Cam für den Wohnraum bestellt. Leider kam sie nie an. Auf mehrere E-Mails kamen nie antworten, telefonisch hängt man ewig in einer Warteschleife, als wäre das Unternehmen nie besetzt. Ebenso auf die Aufforderung Geld zurück zu erstatten, wurde nicht reagiert. Der Kundenservice ist demnach nicht existent. Mein Geld ist weg. Aber zum Glpck gibt es genügend besser Shops.

Contacted Ring Customer Service (CS) to transfer yearly Ring monitoring subscription from the US to Canada, since I relocated to Canada. To do so, Ring had to cancel my US plan and set-up a new Canadian plan. I was told I would receive a prorated refund for my US plan. Now Ring says they have no record of my US plan (since it was cancelled) and will not issue a refund. I was lied to by Ring.

I purchased a doorbell camera, chimed two indoor pan-tilt cameras online on 7/31/24. There order was supposed to arrive in 3 days. Of course that did not happen. One 8/6/24 I receive only the camera and chime which I had hard wried fully expecting to receive the indoor cameras. To be honest, I forgot about the camera since it for our office, rather than our home. Today, 8/18/24 I realized that I had not received the camera's and called customer service and was told there was a delay. Apparently they had no intention of ever notifying me. When I look a the order status on Ring, it shows the full order (4 items) as having been received. Only after clicking around in track my package does it show that only two items were delivered. It shows 2 items as delayed in transit since August 9th with no further information. At no point did I receive any status update from Ring regarding the missing items. I called customer support and the people who answer the calls have zero information and have to chat with other people elsewhere. Ive been on hold for nearly an hour now and they cant tell me if they actually have the pan and tilt camera's in any color anywhere on the plant, nor can they initiate a refund.
Save yourself some frustration and take your business elsewhere. Jeff Bezos bought this company in 2018 and I am utterly shocked at how disorganized things are. They use Amazons distribution center so I am confused. I also noticed that neither Sam's nor Costco carry the doorbell cameras and indoor cameras at the same time. Long story short, take your business elsewhere. Ring is customer horrible and not worth the frustration!!
No Internal Storage Options
They haven't adapted to market, no internal storage. We had a porch pirate use a WiFi blocker when stealing a pkg, just think what a break in burglar can do. Looking for another brand
Increased Pricing!
If you pay for individual devices they have increased the price to £50 each, it used to be £50 for 3 devices. if you have more than 1 device then switch your plan to protect plus, this is £80 for unlimited devices. I'm ok with price increases, however if you are going to renew your subscription at a 150% increase then I would expect a renewal email to prompt to check my options and decide if I'm going to renew before they auto renew it for you! Car insurance, phone contracts, etc all prompt the customer to review their account prior to any renewal.
1 star due to poor customer communication regarding subscription renewals. (especially after a huge change in billing)
Ring cameras rubbish
I'm in australia. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. No assistance from the company, and they can't be contacted. These ring cameras with the dual flood lights are rubbish.
During live playback footage and recorded playback majority of it is pixualated and can't see anything, and the light comes on when there is nothing there. Turned the sensitivity right down lights still come on have done a reboot of whole systems and didn't fix the problem. Way Over priced should be priced and sold at a $2 silly solleys shop at $2. Subscription is also too expensive.
Don't Buy Ring...It's a Hostage Situation with Huge Annual Rate Increases
I, like many others, have transitioned from being a Ring enthusiast to feeling quite discouraged. While it isn't entirely clear whether the change is related to Ring being purchased by Amazon (who also owns Blink, btw) isn't entirely clear, it would appear that the two are related.
Since the Amazon acquisition, the Ring subscription price has seen significant increases – twice in the past three years, with each exceeding a 25% jump. Considering the service itself hasn't seen major improvements (how much can a doorbell camera truly evolve?), these escalating costs feel completely unreasonable.
Unfortunately, refusing the price hike renders my Ring doorbell practically useless – a fancy doorstop at best. It's a stark contrast to when I first purchased it, where a subscription wasn't mandatory.
This experience has significantly impacted my trust in the brand. While I haven't made a final decision (although 90%), throwing the doorbell away and avoiding future Ring products is a strong possibility and a real outcome.
My Suggestion: Don't buy...go with a less expensive alternative that doesn't try to price gouge you. There are plenty of cheaper options that deliver the same service.

Umtausch...Erst wurde mir die Falsche Adresse für die Rücksendung gegeben. Ring kam zu mir zurück, dann, als ich gedroht habe, dass es Betrug ist wurde mir ein Rücksendeettiket mit einr ganz anderen Adresse gesendet. Nun nach ca 5 Nachrichten und weiteren 6 Wochen. Habe ich immer noch keinen Ersatz! Geld weg Ring weg, kein Ersatz in Sicht. Der Kundenservice ist unterirdisch!!!! Werde es meiner Rechtschutzversicherung bergeben und Anzeige erstatten.

worst customer support ever - ended up 3+ hours on 3 days over 2 weeks on the phone to RETURN a simple item. Yes, the staff is friendly but the PROCESSES ARE RIDICULOUS ! NEVER BUYING FROM YOU AGAIN. The most bureaucratic and dumbest process I have ever witnessed.

It was fine until 4 months in and did not work. There is no way of contacting Ring to get a new camera except for an off shore number where they take recordings of your problem (without your permission). They have no email address or physical contact for a customer to use. This means that if you buy the product via Amazon (like we did) and the product fails after the grace period at Amazon you are on your own.
Also they charge by monthly plans so you end up paying for cameras that don't work twice.
