MINDLESS SERVICE
MINDLESS SERVICE: I changed my phone number six months ago and I cannot sign into my Ring account because your verification code is going to my nonexistent number. Why don’t you have an option to send the VC to my email? I used another working email for you to send the VC, but I consistently received nothing. Your chat line is totally robotic and your contact phone number applies only to landlines. Really, how many of your customers still have landlines? It seems your attention to customer care is mindless and that YOUR Ring is the only ring that matters to you.

Der Kundendienst ist eine Katastrophe. Unverständlich, nicht hilfsbereit. Ich wollte lediglich eine Bestellung stornieren. Ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit. Nach ca. 15 Minuten entnervt aufgelegt, weil der Mitarbeiter kaum zu verstehen war und Fragen gestellt hat, die nichts mit dem Storno zu tun hatten (ob ich ein Ring Protect Abo hätte oder ob ich von einem iOS oder Android Gerät telefoniere).

Ring lights and cameras are design to break right after 12 months
I bought 7 batterie flood lights, a complete alarm system, peephole camera, standalone camera, and a battery camera with flood light integrated ( this last one was expensive) the 6 of the batterie flood light broke before 12 months so they had to replace at no charge. The peephole still works but it’s dragging and may expire soon. All the other divorce broke right after 12 months. It’s like it has an internal timer that breaks after the warranty is done. Customer service is the worse. Ever since Amazon bought Ring it’s become the worse security system. People save your money and choose any other company that still operates under the original inventors or creators. If it’s sold to Amazon save your money. You’ll regret buying it if Amazon owns it

They intentionally miss represent (lie) about shipping/arrival times. Not a good look when you are "trusting" a company with your protection!

After subscription cancel still charge…
After subscription cancel still charge my account. twice i cancel my subscription steel active, i have to call customer service and cancel over the phone. before charge me $10.89. Today $106. it's look's like life time subscription. after replace my card, with different number charges steel apply.

Katastrophe! Nach sechsmaligem Anruf wurde immer noch kein Retourenschein geliefert. Keine EMail Adresse zwecks Kontaktaufnahme vorhanden. Nur schlechter Kontakt im Callcenter mit auswendig gelernten Phrasen. Da stellt sich die Frage, wie seriös ist Ring?

I attempted to to cancel one devices protect subscription. After 20 minutes on chat and being cut off once the rep was rude and couldn’t help me accomplish my task. This some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered

Cannot get through to a supervisor instead you get a code for a discount off overpriced product. They use excuses to not honor their warranty.

Ring self-destructs their own equipment
I have had a ring doorbell for quite some time and unhooked it for a few months due to a move. When I installed it again, the doorbell received a firmware update and then stopped working. I contacted customer support and after an hour of troubleshooting, they informed me that when a device has been disconnected for an extended amount Time, their firmware update will render their devices (Plural) useless. I am not kidding, she told me this straight out. She offered me a 35% discount to buy a new one. How nice of her. It’s no wonder this company has a one star rating on just about every site on the Internet.

Terrible quality and doesnt record until theyre almost gone
Very bad quality images and an insane lag time. Doesnt capture the mailman, the guy who lets his dog crap on our lawn, or my roommate leaving for work at 4am. We bought them to help, they are useless.

If your Card on file for ProtectPlan expires before renewal date, your warranty on all Ring Products are void.
Been a Ring customer for 4 years and have 4 devices. For the most part Ring was okay. Paid yearly for my ProtectPlan and set up AutoPay for renewal. Only to find out that if a Ring customer does not update the payment method in advance before the renewal date, your devices are no longer covered by any warranty because they consider it a lapse in service. I had eventually updated my card and was 5 months into my service that I paid for a year in advance, when I came across their refusal to replace a floodlight camera full of water, (that customer service confirmed was defective.) They also refused to reasonably work with me, so I immediately canceled. Because even if I or anyone bought ANY other Ring item, it would not have been covered at any point. There are better companies out there that stand by their products, and their long time customers that pay yearly in advance for service.

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service, I received a ring doorbell for Fathers Day. When I got around to putting it up I discovered I was missing parts. I was missing the small level and the two bottom screws. After being on hold forever I was told there I would have to purchase these items....wow....what a joke this company is. I'll have my Daughter return this junk and keep my old doorbell.

Katastrophaler Umgang mit Kunden
Ich habe eine Kamera bestellt, welche über GLS geliefert werden sollte. Nachdem ich angeblich nicht angetroffen wurde (ich war da, hat keiner geklingelt) wurde die ware an einem paketshop abgegeben. Ich habe aber keine info bekommen bei welchem. Entsprechend wurde die ware zurückgesendet (meine anfragen liefen ins leere) Ring konnte ich nicht erreichen. Ich habe bis auf eine Telefonnummer keinen kontakt gefunden und bin nie durchgekommen. Ging auch nur während der arbeitszeit, was für mich kaum möglich war. Ring hätte mich ja auch kontaktieren können oder die ware nochmal senden. Stattdessen gabe es keine info und sie haben sowohl die kamera als auch mein geld einfach behalten. Nach knapp über 6 monaten habe ich jetzt nochmal nach kontakt Möglichkeiten gesucht. Jetzt haben sie einen chat, wo mir dann "geholfen" wurde. Nach sehr langem hin und her wurde ich vertröstet, man könne nach 6 monaten nichts mehr machen. Ich hätte mich doch gleich melden sollen. Haha guter witz.

Ring devices won't reset after electric meter change out.
My electric company came to change out my electric meter while I'm out of town. Nadaproblem, right? It took him 10 minutes to change it. All of my wifi devices reset except my ring devices. I am still out of town and ring customer service don't know why my devices didn't reset and couldn't help me. At a time when your house is most vulnerable being away your ring devices ain't working and ring says they can't do anything about it. Are you kidding me. What the hell are we paying you money for? It looks like ring has a lot more lower reviews than 5 star. Ring needs to get their act together.

Unreliable devices, unreliable service, customer service virtual
customer support really difficult to get in touch with, I got locked out my account for no reason and I can't get to reset my password as I need to get a code via text message, I tried many times but I never received any code at all, so I tried with the different option that they give you online but you end up going in loops around their website that bring you always to the same place. I have been put on hold on the phone for ages and I have got the feeling that they are going to cut my phone call against the fact that these calls are not free, I am paying to call them, they are not answering, I can't log in online nor with the app. Shame really cause I am also paying monthly fees for their service. Once you set up with their devices you are pretty much left on your own...

Dieses System ist Abzocke! Man kann die Kamera nur vernünftig nutzen, wenn man ein Abonnement mit der Firma abschließt (über den Speicherplatz) ! Ich rate dringend von dem Kauf der Kameras ab!! (+Datenschutz mangelhaft) Fazit: „Ring“-Kamera nicht kaufen !!!

Werkt voor geen meter. Als iemand aanbelt is die persoon al lang weer weg voordat je kan reageren als je niet thuis bent. En dat voor €3,99 per maand. Niet kopen.

Kündigung Vertrag meines verstorbenen Bruders nicht möglich
Ich habe den Kundenservice telefonisch kontaktiert um den Vertrag meines verstorbenen Bruder außerordentlich zu kündigen. Der Herr vom Kundenservice hat 2mal mein Anliegen wiederholt & meine Bestätigung erbeten. Er sagte nur: ich lege ihren Fall an, das System hat Fragen zu Ihrem Problem. Nach längerer Stille wurde ich daraufhin gewiesen, dass ich der Bank die Sterbeurkunde vorzeigen muss & den Dauerauftrag löschen soll. Das es sich aber um einen Lastschriftmandat handelt wurde ignoriert. Er beendete das „Problem“ mit folgenden Satz „Leider kann ich Ihnen nicht helfen & den Vertrag kündigen. Ich hoffe ich habe Ihnen damit geholfen.“ Daraufhin bin ich leider in Tränen ausgebrochen & habe gefragt ob das wirklich der Fall ist. Ich habe nochmals erklärt das es sich um eine außerordentliche Kündigung handelt & ich als Nachlass um diese Bitte da mein Bruder das Abo nicht mehr nutzen kann & ich gerne alle Dokumente (Sterbeurkunde etc.) vorweisen kann. Daraufhin kam „Es werden keine Dokumente benötigt. Ich kann Ihnen bei Ihrem Problem nicht helfen.“ Es ist absolut unmenschlich & unsensibel. Solch einen schlechten Kundenservice habe ich noch nie erlebt !

3 jaar geleden een ring deurbel cadeau…
3 jaar geleden een ring deurbel cadeau gekregen van vrienden ivm verhuizing. Deze gebruiken we nu bijna 3 jaar. Functioneert goed maar de bel buiten ziet er niet meer uit. Raakt steeds meer geoxideerd. Contact gehad met ring en foto’s gestuurd maar dan is ring niet thuis. Moet ik een compleet nieuwe bel kopen en krijg dan korting. Geen garantie dus noemen ze het coulance. De oxidatie is natuurlijk niet in de laatste periode ontstaan dus had begrip verwacht en vervanging van de bel buiten

Lack of support at every turn
When we went overseas I had hoped to monitor our premises from abroad. As I was forced to buy a new sim card I had lost all access to my camera. When trying to re-install it I was unable to enter my new number into my account. Why isn't it possible to enter my setting when I am already in my account with a strong pass word? Only Canadians and Americans are given a chance to alternative authentication. So I am stuffed and not very happy. I would recommend to anyone who wants to buy a security camera to have a good look around. This company doesn't offer any support and perhaps you can find a product that also monitors cars and not only humans. Don't buy!!

Since I purchased it constant problems and only lasts a year…
Since I purchased it constant problems it disconnects for no reason have to jump through several hoops to get it back working takes sometimes several hours to resolve. Now it is one year old and it’s stopped working I am told by ring I have buy a new one! only lasts a year. Really not worth it and it’s expensive

Doorbell ring worked for a couple of weeks and then could not connect to wifi. Terrible product, do not waste your money with it.
