Horrible customer service makes working…
Horrible customer service makes working device worthless. Trying to transfer ownership of Ring doorbell from my elderly mother to me while she is in long term recovery for a medical issue. Despite pictures of her drivers license and "proof of life"photos of her laying in a hospital bed. Customer "NO" Service cannot offer any solution. Rendering the device and any security for her home obsolete. They have lost a customer for life and I will never recommend Ring to my network of friends.

Terrible, disgusting and don’t touch this MOB. I lost my phone in Dubai, away from home. It is not possible to access your ring account as they insist on sending a verification code to your mobile EVEN THOUGH IT IS LOST. You need a verification code sent to your mobile devise to activate the account on a different devise. So you go on their chat line talking to an illiterate and after wasting 20 minutes they say YOU MUST CALL CUSTOMER SERVICES IN THE UK. I say “I can’t, I have no phone” and they say TOUGH. In the meantime the alarm is going off at home and THEY DONT GIVE A MONKEY. Literally they are unable to assist. The word COWBOYS or SCAM ARTISTS springs to mind. It all going in the bin when I get home. So people, if you are considering buying products from these scammers, you have been warned ..

I would never buy or recommend a ring…
I would never buy or recommend a ring floodlight camera to anyone ever. I had this camera for 4 years. One of the lights blewout. There is no replacement bulb. I would be stupid to purchase another one. I will replacement the system with another brand.

Ring is not worth it!!
I have a ring camera and paid for my subscription for a year, but it is not worth it. I couldn't log into my account due to my authenticator gives me an 8 number code and the Ring app is asking for a 6 number code. I've called Ring to get help loging into my account, and they couldn't help, so they sugested i should cancel my account. Horrible company, no trained customer support, and a waist of my time

Bought my ring doorbell a few months…
Bought my ring doorbell a few months ago . Constantly disconnects from WiFi. Damn near impossible to get in touch with company. Too complicated process to report fault & try return. I improved my WiFi to full fibre & problems still happening with connection. Followed all the trouble shooting bumph. It's not fit for purpose & thankfully did not pay to renew subscription. Would still be unusable anyway. Now how do I get my money back. Poor product & poor service. There are plenty others that are cheaper , work better & have a better service. Do not buy!!!

In a nutshell, after 3 different "service" experiences, I'm going to TRY to cancel my service. Their policies are ridiculous and I'm anticipating a fight. Why, you ask? They have no way for me to get service or even information on system components that are no longer working. Why, you ask? ONLY the person who opened the account can receive assistance or make changes. I get that, but my husband died a year ago. No way for him to do anything! I offered to send a death certificate, the will that lists me as his heir, and any ID they need. There is no provision for any of this!!! What's a widow to do with a service that doesn't work, and "service" reps who only say "There's nothing that I can do!" Poor! Buy elsewhere.

De deurbel heeft vocht onder de lens. Iets waarvan de klantenservice zegt dat het NOOIT voorkomt. Omdat het buiten de garantie valt wordt deze niet vervangen. Een coulance zou hier op zijn plaats zijn

Ring is a scam. Be sure to do your homework and shop around, I wish I had. The Ring doorbell camera is utterly useless without the monthly subscription. There's no local storage or option to connect to cloud storage. Without a subscription, there's no recording, only a "live" feed which is several minutes behind real time. By the time I get the notification the activity is over. Last summer there was a carjacking in front of my house and the police asked if I had a Ring camera. Well now I do but it still doesn't matter. It comes with a free 30 day Ring Protect subscription, so when that expires (and you learn how useless the thing is) it's too late to return. Just a shameful scam and plain ol' corporate greed.

Habe den Fehler begangen, direkt bei Ring zu bestellen. Aufgrund der vorher nicht klar kommunizierten Notwendigkeit eines Abos wollte ich die Bestellung widerrufen und die Kamera zurücksenden. Eine absolute Vollkatastrophe. Nie wieder! Das ist pure böse Absicht, die Kundenrechte nicht umsetzen zu müssen.

Mi experiencia con ellos ha sido muy mala.
Decidí devolver el equipo y está siendo un dolor de cabeza. El servicio de atención al cliente me ha dado información contradictoria cada vez que llamo y son incapaces de resolver nada. La empresa de mensajería me confirma que han entregado los dispositivos pero ellos dicen que no tienen constancia. Una vez encuentren los dispositivos, tardarán otros 10 días laborables en efectuar el reembolso. Es desesperante y de haber visto estas reseñas antes de comprar, no lo habría hecho. La empresa es nefasta y el servicio de atención al cliente inútil. Recomiendo NO COMPRAR.

If you're looking for a security camera…
If you're looking for a security camera system do not use Ring. This systems does not work correctly. I have their door bell camera pkugged into their tranformer and still does not keep a charge. Not only this i wanted to pulled something up last night that was funny and it did not record it. Which good thing it was not something serious because i would of missed it or would not have proof of something happens in front of house. If you are looking for a security system go with someone else not worth time and money.

Subscription fee increases??
Tried to sneakily increase the BASIC subscription plan. A doorbell I have to pay a subscription for is the FIRST thing to go when I need to make ends meet. I don't understand why a company that sells hardware like a smart doorbell can justify having me pay $50/year just to use the thing. Quality has not improved. Doesn't pick up footage when anyone actually approaches my door, only when someone drives by. Disconnects from WiFi every other day despite stable connection for all of my other devices. Ridiculous. Scam company, just glad I haven't thrown money at their other low quality, pricey tech

Slecht product met nog slechtere service
Na 1,5 jaar kwam er roest op mijn deurbel. Inmiddels heel de onderkant verroest en erg scherp aan de randen. Hier om ring gecontacteerd of zij een nieuw frontje kunnen regelen voor mijn deurbel, deze hoort immers tegen regen te kunnen beweert ring. Na verhuizing wilde ik graag nog twee camera’s met abonnement aanschaffen. Na gesproken met een leidinggevende van ring gaat deze aankoop zeker niet meer door. Deze leiding gevende kon niets voor mij doen omdat ik 3 maanden te laat was ivm de garantie. Ze gaf mij wel gelijk dat ik eigenlijk een nieuwe hoor te krijgen. Enige optie was een nieuwe deurbel kopen. Helaas voel ik mij genoodzaakt om bij de concurrent over te stappen na het weten van deze slechte service.

Ring Doorbell Review / Customer Service
I bought a ring doorbell camera a few years ago because I was told they are reliable and durable. Recently within this past month or so I have been having an issue where my ring doorbell will just disconnect from the wifi on its own. I have wifi extenders throughout my house and my ring floodlight which is the furthest from my wifi has no issues with connection. Clearly the issue here is there’s a defect with the ring doorbell I got. I contacted Ring support and they stated there’s nothing they can do for me. After speaking on the line for about half an hour they were trying to sell me on another Ring Doorbell. Finally after continuously telling them I was not going to spend another few hundred dollars they stated they can send a “ring wifi extender” the Ring Chime Pro for free and it should help my connection. I have installed the Ring Chime Pro and it has made no difference. The customer service representative also stated to me that she cannot help me as the “generation” of Ring product I had they cannot fix or see that software? I do not recommend Ring products to anyone who wants to use them for home security as they are not reliable and neither is the customer support. You are better off using another product .

Unjustifiable price increase
Unjustifiable price increase - I have now cancelled and am actively looking for an alternative product. I do not mind paying for a service, however any price paid, has to be reasonable and proportionate. This price increase does not appear to be facilitating any service improvements or significantly enhanced features. A 43% price increase in less than 18 months is unreasonable - I do not like being taken advantage of. One price increase too far - you’ve lost me as a customer as a result.

I called about the price hike since I am on disability. The last time when I called about this situation I was given a credit and $10 off the yearly subscription. Not this time. I ended up hanging up on the woman I spoke to this morning as she sounded like a broken record.

Obscene profiteering by Amazon Ring…
Obscene profiteering by Amazon Ring means we have to leave. Ring (an Amazon owned company) is hiking the price of subscriptions by a MASSIVE 42.8% when inflation is 6.7% and even less in the USA where the servers are, but it does not stop there. The US has had a far better economy so again no need to hike the services or even increase them at all. The last hike from £25 to £35 for the BASIC account was BAD enough, that was a 40% increase for no improvement of service. NOW we in the UK are treated like second class citizens because now we are charged on £1 for $1 basis, this was NOT the case previously. Currently the Ring subscription in the US is $39.99 while the UK is £34.99, this reflects the currency differential. However, with this hike the US Citizens face a 33% increase to $49.99 while the UK customers face a 42.8% increase. This is the OPPOSITE of what should be happening because the UK Sterling currency is giving them even more dollars, so in fact it should be decreasing. In 2022 the pound gave them $1.249458 (Source HMRC) so for £25 sub they got $31.24 while they got $30 per annum from US Customers, an extra $1.24 In 2023 the pound gave them $1.2439 (Source HMRC) so for £35 sub they got $43.54 while they got $40 per annum from US Customers, an extra $3.54. NOW for 2024 the pound is stronger at $1.26 (Source Google) so for the massive £49.99 UK sub they will get an egregious $62.99 while they get $49.99 per annum from US Customers, an extra $13 !!!! Many now defunct US companies made this RIP OFF BRITAIN mistake in software licensing, it leaves a very bad taste in the mouth, so much for the "special relationship". Amazon also own the biggest competitor Blink and they force you to connect to your Amazon account and no doubt they will hike their prices soon. This is what happens when you have a monopoly. So we are left with no choice but to buy some naff Chinese video doorbell and do the storage on our own kit. Amazon Ring should be forced to open up their doorbells so that other Cloud services may compete efficiently in this market. Please contact your Government Representative, MP, Congressman etc and demand they deal with this monopoly situation. Tell them that Amazon has a monopoly in this market and you would like them to be forced to provide an open API so that other cloud providers may offer to host Ring and Blink Doorbells. Another reason that it is a monopoly is that Amazon owns Amazon Web Services, making it able to unfairly compete against other doorbell manufacturers. The whole chain of this market should be opened up, not just an API for the RIng App to use other providers but for other apps to be able to use AWS at a competitive level, so Gov's should force Amazon Web Services to provide a "trade" price for competitors. Of course Amazon should be forced to sell Bliink too, these changes are the only way to keep the market competitive. For my part I will contact the Competitions and Markets Authority in the UK and suggest they sanction Amazon/Ring I only got told about this today, this leaves me very little time to change my Ring doorbell, I have to drill new holes and wiring plus learn a new app. All because Amazon Ring is profiteering. I will now sell by Ring doorbell on eBay. Amazon Ring should realise that it is apparently 22 times harder to win back a former customer you lost than to win a new customer. I suppose they think that there is a mug born every minute. I see the Ring Trustpilot score is below 1.8 stars which suggests that Ring do not care about their reputation, well don't care was made to care!

Opnieuw uitval. Bah!
Na mijn vorige melding dat ik, na het afsluiten van een abonnement opeens een niet werkende bel had omdat het wifi signaal uitviel?! Ging het een paar dagen WEL weer goed. Zonder opnieuw aanmelden enzo. Nu weer geen verbinding meer. De bel hang 2,5 meter van het internet modem De andere camera's en via het internet aangesloten produkten werken wel goed. Dus blijkbaar kapot produkt. Garantie? Gaan we controleren

Enormous price increases unjustified
Was very happy with my Ring doorbell until yesterday when I had notification that the price was increasing to £4.99 a month from £3.49. The percentage of increase is unjustified. With more people buying ring doorbell last year they could afford to keep the price the same or even lower to attract more customers. I have now cancelled my subscription completely as it’s not worth the extra.
