Don't take a loan from Ring…
I don't want to give more than half star. But not any option given there. I have worst experience with ring. Rate of interest has too high. Its generated credit line bill in 18 days. If you delay one day late payment then customer care call you again and again more than 5 call in singel minute. I am facing the worst experience in ring. They talk the customer very badly as well black mail.
Unable to view recorded events
I have two cameras; One at the front door and one at the driveway entry. I am paying to ring for the use of recording my front driveway entrance camera. But, it has been sketchy at best for over a year now. Unable to login at times. Does not let me see live view at times. Does not provide "some" recorded events that should have been recorded. Not worth the monthly fee if I can't use it!
I tried to cancel my protection plan…
I tried to cancel my protection plan and the link to cancel just fails. No way of getting the plan cancelled. No support and no contact to cancel the plan when their website isn't working.
Ring Intercom keine Funktion
Naja, die schlechten Kundenbewertungen überall sagen alles. Kundenhotline von Ring unmöglich, bis zu Aussagen das Produkt Ring Intercom kenne der Hotliner nicht. Vieles Funktioniert nicht. App sieht nach 2001 aus. Ich habe das Ding selber aber nix mit Werbespruch " Gegensprechen von überall aus " eben nicht. Bin ich zuhause im WLAN, funktioniert es am Smartphone, Push und Sprechen. Bin ich unterwegs, bekomme ich auch die Push das jemand klingelt, will ich dann Gegensprechen anklicken, bekomme ich nur Fehlermeldungen in der App und das seit fast einem Jahr seit Verkaufsstart. Geändert wurde das Problem bis heute nicht.

Zeer slecht. Retourlabel kan alleen via telefoon. Na 30 minuten gesprek nog steeds geen (compleet ) retourlabel, zou vervolgens 24-48 iur duren..benieuwd wat ik krijg. NOOIT weer bestellen via ring.com!!!retourneren opzettelijk bemoeilijkt !!!
I was charged even after I changed from pro monitoring to self monitoring
I changed the monitoring from professionally monitored to self on the app. I wasn't aware that, that wont stop my card being charged. Later after few months, I came to know about it when Ring sent an email about payment being declined due to card no longer valid. When I called support, they said, in order to stop payment I need to do it on the website. Changing in the app is not sufficient. I asked for refund of the fees paid since I changed from professionally monitored to self on the app. They denied my request, saying they sent me an email about this (that payment will stop only if disabled on the website and not on the app). I never received any such email. At least I don't remember seeing such email and I don't find in my inbox now either (I could have deleted the email). I am very unhappy with the misleading (cheating) information provided in the app which just stops monitoring without stoping the plan and hence continue to charge the payment card.

Good when it worked
Good when it worked. Ring support is incompetent and disorganized. I have made countless calls, spent hours on hold, and still they have no idea what the problem is or how to fix it.
I have a doorbell, two cameras and a chime. A loud motion alert started occurring by itself five days ago but I could not log into my account to stop it.
When I called Ring support they told me I need to wait for a couple of hours for the system to reset. After three days of doing that and it not working they told me I should have waited a full 24 hours. So we all suffered the motion noise for another 36 hours just to be sure, but nothing changed, the account is still locked. The noise is making everyone in the house crazy but the only way to stop it is to shut down the whole system.
Support finally escalated the issue but now they have no idea what to do.

One of the worst customer experiences ive had trying to make a return I had to wait on a phone line (no email option). I had to take photos of the product including the serial number (even though the box was unopened). I had to then provide all of my personal details to receive a return slip (why?!). It took an hour to get through the whole process.
I would advise buying from your local retailer or even better ordering on Amazon during Prime day for a cheaper product with quick, no questions asked returns/replacements that can be done digitally!
Amazon you are the parent, wake up to the craziness over in the Ring customer service department!
*Update as of 3rd August - I had to call again twice to get the return slip. This took another 2 hours. Ring ended up refunding the wrong customer. So 3 hours to make a simple return in total...
2nd generation Chime doorbell died and…
2nd generation Chime doorbell died and Ring will not replace as it’s outside of warranty. The device is less than 3 years old and it going to the scrap heap already
Not good enough for subscription service, for all I know a firmware update killed it but not real investigation on their side just plug it in and preset the reset button. If that doesn’t work buy a new one.

Try and get decent support from Ring. Like most they are using the Phillipines, or Malyasia or some other third world country. These people do not know what they are doing and generally just run you around in circles... all I wanted was to add my husband to our account and the verification code was not generating...should be easy right. NO NO NOT.... still did not get someone who could help. More interested in 30 degree questions than helping.
RING does not honor their warranty - FRAUD in my opinion
Ring has a stated policy on their website under FAQs whic reads "We do offer a 30-day no-questions-asked return policy if you'd like to return any unwanted products once they've been delivered." I received my sysem on 7/6/2023. I called last night stating that I wanted to return my system for a refund and was told that they needed the MAC ID from the camera in a still sealed box. I pointed out this was against their written policy but by then I was on hold for 45 minutes and finally hung up. In my layman's opinion I think they sell product with no intention of honoring their stated warranty.

Hele deurbel is dus grotendeels nutteloos, blij dat ik nog niet de 4 andere camera's gekocht had die ik wilde kopen. Nu opzoek naar ander merk deurbel en beveiligingscamera's.
Niet gek overigens dat zo een waardeloos bedrijf is, is immers van Amazon.

Ring camera does not capture all…
Ring camera does not capture all movement. There’s been SEVERAL times where my front door opens/closes, but I don’t get notified nor does it show on the app when you open it. Lord forbid someone tries to break in. There’s a 50/50 chance it won’t be recorded. Time for a new camera!
App has so many bugs
App has so many bugs! Skips so one cannot see real time, recordings are shown and then disappear, and often live or recording picture is hazy. Calling customer service, outsourced and cannot understand!!!! Seriously Ring do better!!!
I’m giving one more month and if these continue then there are other options.

I bought a doorbell camera, for my front door, hooked to my wifi. What does ring need my personal address for? I now do not have a doorbell because I refuse to have my personal information become part of their giant data base.

Hele slechte service vanuit ring. Service? Dat kennen ze niet. Je koopt een deurbel a €200,-, abonnement kosten van €40,- per jaar om alles terug te kunnen zien en je denkt ook service te krijgen, maar nee.
Deurbel is net buiten de garantie kapot gegaan. Na 7x gebeld te hebben met de klantenservice en 7x te horen krijgen dat een manager zou terug bellen, nog niets gehoord. Voor de 8e keer weer bellen en eindelijk iemand gesproken te hebben, geen service kunnen verwachten. Ze kunnen enkel een korting aanbieden.
Ik mag als klant best verwachten dat een deurbel van dit soort bedragen inclusief abonnements kosten wel langer mee mag gaan dan 2 jaar. Een levensduur garantie zou hier niet misstaan.
Koop geen Ring deurbel. De deurbel is snel stuk en de service is ver te zoeken. Koop gewoon een goedkopere deurbel, die hebben namelijk ook dezelfde functionaliteiten en trap hier niet in!
I bought this believing it would let me download and view my own videos on an app
I bought this believing it would let me view and download on some corresponding app. There was no indication on the packaging that I can only view and store historic videos after paying a monthly storage fee. Also, our internet often goes down so I have to continuously take off the cover while standing nearby the device to reset the internet password. I do not recommend. It is an expensive camera with an expensive hidden cost (The uploaded videos) Furthermore if you fail to take out the storage you are reliant on notifications to try to view who is there, realtime. The notifications are often late and the person has usually moved on. DO NOT BUY..

I would STRONGLY SUGGEST to stay away from any RING camera. Do not get in trap by purchasing RING cameras.
We used to own 5 Ring Indoor cams and 2 spotlight outdoor cams. The story started with spotlight cam malfunction, where it stopped recording and didn't detect any motion. We called the support team and they figured out the issue as 'Packet loss' more than 50% and agreed to replace the device. Once the replacement arrived, we installed the replaced spotlight cam again and just after two days of installation, we noticed that the microphone and notifications weren't working again. We called support team again and they again placed the third replacement. After receiving the third replacement, we found that the device wasn't the right one (expected was the Ring Spotlight Hard Wired) and they send us Ring Spotlight plug in one so that they can market for their battery too.
We called customer care again and they stated that the model that we purchased originally is out of stock and was forcing us to get the plug in one. I can tell you how much we were frustrated by hanging on support calls for hours and hours and asking for replacing the correct device for a month.
Ring used to call that they innovate product, but RING cameras product is the BIGGEST JOKE OF THE CENTURY. If you keep the device snapshot setting to minute or less, it stops recording and detecting motion after short period of time. Also, it doesn't send notification for motion activated recording in real time, most of time it won't send notification, or sometime after two three minutes of motion detection.
We have decided to trash all the cams in trash bin, go for another company camera. The customer support team always lies and you will end up with frustration and waisting your time and energy, as they consider this as an entertainment.
If you really care about your security and reliability of the product, STAY AWAY FROM Ring camera products.
Ring is not a good company problems with customer service and overall product
Today I got really upset with Ring and its products. Note to readers: apparently when they update the software they change your alarm status to disarmed and then, after the update, they automatically arm it again without you noticing any procedure on the back. I was away travelling for work and an automatic calling maching on behalf of ring told me about a potential intrusion at home. It seemed that one of the sensors detected a person and the alarm started to ring. I freaked out because 1. I checked the app and the status was disarmed b. the call itself because I was not able to talk to a human (outside the US poor service). I had to call customer service and they told me the system was disarmed because the software update happening previous night and about the sensor that detected an intrusion the only thing they offered me was to move close to the sensor .... and of course reboot the system. How on earth I am going to be able to do that when I am away? How can I rely on a security company which makes automatic upgrades and fails to arm your sytem again? and what about offering you to look for solutions to troubled hardware only when you are physically at home?

Trying to get a warranty replacement …
I've been trying to get a warranty replacement for my Stick Up Elite POE camera for almost six months. It simply stopped working. I've contacted them five times via chat, and in each session they played the game of saying it will be shipped within five business days, you have "priority status", etc. I just chatted again and was told they're still on backorder. I was offered a different replacement camera, which I accepted. I'll sell it and buy the one I want from eBay. The POE/Ethernet camera must have a lot of issues. I mentioned to the agent that the POE camera is in stock on the website. They said that new cameras are not the same stock, which means the warranty replacements are refurbished. We'll see if I actually get the different replacement cam.
