Worst security ever

Worst security ever. Ring has no idea what a person is vs a flying insect or a spider. Doesn’t go off when a car drives straight at it. A tarp on my boat makes the system alarm when the wind blows. Totally useless security system

Ring is ok

Ring is ok, IF you’re not trying to catch anything important. I have a few problems with it. I have missed more “events” then I can count on my hand. It never seems to record an event that I really needed. I can walk outside and it will record that moment but I can come and go like 10x and it will still only record that 1 movement. I get recording of people leaving my driveway but it didn’t record the moment of them coming. Sometimes it doesn’t want to connect. I have to close out the app and retry again. When trying to talk through the camera you have to talk very very slowly, or no one will understand. We started with google neat then we came to ring. We are now going back to google Nest because it’s just better. No missed events. Ring is good for anyone who just want to keep an eye on thing. Not good for anyone who actually using it on the daily to catch important stuff.

vreselijk bedrijf, kan geen abonnement afsluiten omdat ik geen creditkaart heb, mensen laten je niet uitpraten en zeggen constant,.........ik begrijp u. al verschillende keren gebeld geprobeerd maar steeds nul op reqest. heel slecht bedrijf, als ik dit van te voren geweten had dan NOOIT een ringbel bij hun gekocht, spijt als haren op mijn hoofd. wat een prut service. deze mensen praten zo onduidelijk en gebrekkig nederlands, hoe kan dat dat ze alleen zulke mensen aannemen!!! EEN GEWAARSCHUWD MENS TELT VOOR TWEE

Verschrikkelijk slechte klantenservice…

Verschrikkelijk slechte klantenservice die niet luistert en je niet laat uitpraten. Daarnaast nog slecht verstaanbaar, terwijl je vooraf uit een hele verzameling talen Nederlands hebt gekozen ! Maar op zoek naar een ander merk om alle ring devices te vervangen !

Bought a 1st Gen Ring doorbell…

Bought a 1st Gen Ring doorbell years ago. Did not want a lot of "bells and whistles", just something to video my neighbors dog on our connected lawn. A little grainy and didn't always capture a persons initial approach, but very serviceable. February '23, I had an issue, which was only somewhat dealt with after 2 hours on the phone with Ring customer service. The 1 star is because though I initially purchased the product with the understanding that I did not need a subscription to view my videos, the company altered my video capability [as of March 2023] without any warning and I can no longer use my Ring doorbell for the sole use I bought it for without agreeing to continuously sending them more money. Customer service was zero help. I am now looking at other brand doorbell cameras to replace my existing Ring.

This product isn’t worth it.

My ring cameras are malfunctioned and won’t charge. I’ve had the customer support team send me new chargers but they still didn’t work. I asked if I could cancel my plan and do a refund and they denied it. Overall I’m over this company and they weren’t helpful at all. I’m disappointed they make even getting a new camera difficult when they sold me cameras that were already messed up. These devices are going straight in the trash complete waste of my money.

Car's casing homes is OK with Ring

Tried to warn neighbors about a car casing homes on our street several days in a row. Included photos. They wouldn't post it. But they'll post somebody's lost cat over and over! Neighbor returned from vacation to find they'd been broken into. Thanks Ring! smDh. Ring's gone woke.

ich glaube da ist die grundstückbegrenzung nicht ganz in takt. für eine einfache kamera account erstellen 2 fach autentifizierung. wofür brauchen die meine handynummer. verknüpfung mit google konto. langsam geht es echt los. wo sind denn da mal wieder die datenschützer. will ich mal auf die kamera schauen muss erst auf die sms warten. ??????

Order placed on 6/1/23, canceled on 6/21/23

I place an order on 6/1/2023, $734 worth of product. I have reached out 4 times to be told, process takes 5-10 business days, on the 10th day I was told items are on back order, 3rd time I reached out they claimed shipping (Logistic team) did not receive the order and it's being expedited, 4th time it'll take 7-10 business days and my order is still in expedited status. No one once showed they valued me as their customer, especially for the amount of product purchased, but that they apologies for the numerous times they placed me on hold. Not one email sent with updates on my order but they emailed for survey on their service. I canceled my order and I suggest to go with another company that will value your time and $.

Waardeloze retourservice

4 keer moeten bellen om een retourlabel te krijgen. Na een maand werd het geretourneerde product terug bij mij thuis bezorgd. Dit werd dus niet door Ring afgehandeld, en het bedrag werd niet terugbetaald.

Bad troubleshooting experience

Hello it worked itself out like I told you I didn't have to do anything to the ring doorbell...you needed to get that update done . Update was done and all that time I spent hours on the phones and yes hours pulling apart or trying to pull apart the system and nearly tearing things up because you failed to send instructions until four previous attempts..I am sour at this experience...my time and frustration I cannot get back... multiple calls and multiple people ring and level....it was too much...my phone died of exhaustion as well . Stop wasting people time and organize the process to assist the customer better up front .. You guys need more training.. U have patience but need to work on organizing the process to troubleshoot shoot...I recommend using this long Ass call as an example of order of operations when troubleshooting....the nerve to say I need to get someone to help me open the doorbell and you had the instructions the entire time and just kept letting me nearly destroy my property.... Get it together ring... Overall customer service 1 for patience 0 for organizing and prioritizing process to assist customer...0 for the lady that hung up on me .. she didn't have a clue anyway I am never going to give any one the go ahead ...and to think I was going to install cameras and add service... No no no and no. Ring is done Dissatisfied customer

Eine Frechheit

Eine Frechheit, die meines erachtens schon fast an Betrug grenzt. Kaufe eine Überwachungsanlage ( ca 600-700€ ) von Ring. Dann kommt der Oberhammer , nach 30 tagen geht nix mehr ohne ein zusätzliches ABO für viel Geld , was jede andere Billiganlage beinhaltet,nämlich eine Aufzeichnung. Werde die Anlage jetzt wohl billigst verkaufen. Kann jedem nur abraten von "RING

Terrible customer service.

Ordered a doorbell two weeks later it hadn’t arrived. Called support, was promised they would get back to me within 48-72 hours. They did not. Called to cancel the order, spent 20 minutes on hold. If this is how they treat customers trying to buy their devices, I can completely understand the negative reviews from customers who actually receive their orders.

Zoek vooral een ander merk

Wij hebben de buiten camera floodlight, 6 stick up battery cameras, 6 stick up wired voor binnen en 2 video deurbellen in gebruik en ze hebben allemaal hun problemen. Zodra je een camera buiten huis ophangt krijg je problemen met de verbinding. Ook al hebben we 2 chimes in gebruik die het signaal moeten versterken krijg je buiten geen scherp beeld door de slechte verbinding. De binnen camera’s functioneren niet altijd als je door middel van live opname met elkaar wilt praten. Ook zit er een enorme vertraging in de deurbel, we hebben de versie van 250 euro, als we een deurbel beantwoorden zien we vaak de bezorger nog in de bus stappen en wegrijden.

I would recommend not buying this product. I've called support and have been on hold for hours. I went and changed my password went back into my account and everything wiped out. And then it tells me I have to set up the devices again. It's been frustrating and very inconvenient.

Ring turns me into city of Austin for not registering equipement I don't have!

Ring camera company reports me to the city of Austin for having an alarm system that I don't have! I own only a camera with push notifications! The city fines me $50.00 and I have to fight this. I have called ring 3 times trying to get them to do the right thing! Ring employees are not trained correctly for issues on there side. Seems they are trained only for camera technical issues. I should not have to be fighting a bogus fee from Austin which was prompted by a false notice to them from ring! Customer support is very difficult and slow to understand exactly what they have done to me. They prompted the false report to the city of Austin. They won't admit fault or apologize for their false report!

Ein echtes Trauerspiel.

Ein echtes Trauerspiel. Die Klingel funktioniert und die Qualität der Videos ist ausreichend. Nach Ablauf der Testphase von Ring protect soll ich tatsächlich 10€ / Monat bezahlen und der Support erzählt mir das das Geld ja wegen der cloud ist und nicht an Ring geht. Schlechtes Deutsch bis hin zu Unverständnis mit einstudierten Standardsätzen. Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht was ich mit dem Schrott jetzt machen soll. Eigentlich ein Fall für die Tonne!!!

DON’T waste your money on the Ring Doorbell!

I don’t write reviews often BUT this time I had to. I’ve had the Ring doorbell bell for years and have finally had it! Time to go and get a REAL camera system. The ONE time I needed the Ring camera to actually work, IT DIDN’T!! My car was broken into, Right on my driveway AND the Ring didn’t catch ANY activity of the thieves! It caught movement of a family member coming In before the incident and after but NOTHING in between those times. Everyone was in the same spot BUT the piece of crap didn’t work when I needed it! DON’T waste your money on the Ring doorbell!!!! So frustrating!!!

My Ring security camera is awful

My Ring security camera is awful. It NEVER stays online and I am forever reconnecting the device to my phone. This is such a rubbish product that I am ready to tear down the camera and go with a different company altogether. I seriously recommend avoiding this product. If you want to have to reconnect every other day, then it would be good; but I am usually away from the device to always need to fix the wifi connection. THIS PRODUCT IS JUNK!!!

Product is a 4, service is 1 star!

The product itself - when it works as advertised - is great. When it does not or billing makes errors, trying to get assistance at my convenience is IMPOSSIBLE. RING camera is in my mother's room in an assisted living facility, so the concept is perfect and invaluable. If only the customer support was as good as the product. I had to send the first one back as the 2-way communication did not work, so the product has its deficiencies, too. Such potential, too bad the support sucks. I was given wrong info on numerous occasions by very confident, polite reps.

Bait and Switch Scheme--Avoid!!!

I have several ring cameras that I installed to monitor my visitation. It was important that I could preserve recordings so I subscribed to Ring Pro that would let you save unlimited videos (which are all very, very short--another problem). But that never worked and I could not save them unless I did so one at a time. So I quickly became disillusioned. I also had problems connecting one of the cameras and with a missing cord, and dealing with their support was like pulling teeth. I actually told them I would pack up and return the cameras and pulled the boxes but tried them one last time and they were able to resolve the issue (the replacement cord took about two weeks to arrive and I live in a very accessible area with lots of Amazon trucks around). Then, after about a year, when I realized I was still paying for the useless recording feature, I unsubscribed and used the cameras just to check in on the dog or to let me know if anyone entered the house. After about a week of having no recording program, I set it to Away (armed) but when I went to disarm it, Ring effectively locked me out of the app and told me that if I wanted to change any settings, I had to subscribe to a plan. So my phone is ringing every time someone moves in the house. Went on the computer and no luck there. So I am quite done with Ring and wished I saw more reviews earlier. I had to delete the app on my phone and now I will sell the cameras on the aftermarket to the next fool willing to give Jeff Bezos more money.

Ring deurbel lost op

Na twee jaar is mijn Ring deurbel bijna helemaal opgelost. Er vallen gaten in de metalige behuizing. Kennelijk kunnen ze niet tegen water. Een reserve onderdeel hiervoor verkopen ze niet. En we zitten nét buiten de garantie. "Dus u zult een nieuwe moeten kopen." zeiden ze de klantenservice. Nou prima hoor, dan wel van een ander merk natuurlijk.

Ring ist ein Witz

Ring ist ein Witz. Erst einmal ist die kostenpflichtige cloud absolute abzocke. 100 Euro im Jahr. Da bekomme ich für den Preis eine Kamera eines anderen Herstellers, wo man die Videos auch lokal speichern kann (dies kann Ring nicht!). Dann sind die Geräte völlig überteuert. Bei anderen Anbietern bei gleicher Leistung etwa halbe Preis. Dann das dauernde 2FA anmelden. Passwort speichern nicht möglich. Dann ladezeiten extrem lang (auch das können andere Hersteller besser).. Jetzt habe ich einen Kaputten Knopf an der Doorbell gehabt. Das ist ein Produktionsfehler des Knopfs, den man Eindrücken kann. Ja richtig gelesen man kann diesen Eindrücken. Noch nie einen Knopf gesehen bei dem das geht, aber Ring kann das. Also beim Support gemeldet. Immerhin sah man ein, daß das getauscht werden muss. Nach einigen Wochen bekam ich dann ein Ersatzgerät. Das Ersatzgerät war jedoch nicht mein Gerät, sondern der Nachfolger. Dazu muss man aber wissen, das der Nachfolger eine abgespeckte Version des Vorgängers ist. Man hat bei meiner Version 3 verschiedenfarbige Cover, diebstahlschutz, ein Netzteil mit unterschiedlichen angriffen usw usw usw. All dies hat das neue Gerät nicht und es passen die Cover auch nicht aufs neue Gerät. Also dem Support mitgeteilt, der mir sagte, das ich da eben Pech gehabt habe ?!?!?!?! Es bleibt dazu zu sagen, das man keine Möglichkeit hat zu seinem Recht zu kommen, da kein Firmensitz in Deutschland existiert. Email wird verweigert. Postadresse wird verweigert. Im Prinzip ist man dem Support völlig ausgeliefert. Hinzu kommt natürlich, daß das Deutsch das der Support spricht sehr minderwertig ist. Folglich versteht der Support Mitarbeiter auch gar nicht was man von ihm will, was dazu führt das man Antworten auf Dinge bekommt, die man nicht gestellt hat.
