Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. Staff abruptly close ticket without providing any solution. Thinking about returning the camera which has issues on some sort of image distortion. Won’t recommend for ring to any.

Bought 2 floodlight cameras
Bought 2 floodlight cameras. Both lights on both cameras started strobing within a year. I called ring customer service they said the send new ones and never did. Just Google "ring floodlights cameras strobing or flashing" and see how many people have rings junk equipment!
Incompetent Customer Service, did not follow through
I have been a long time, early on customer and supporter of Ring ever since I saw Jamie on the Shark Tank. My problem is with both customer service and the product. For the most part the cameras and doorbell work as they should until they don't, enter customer service. The doorbell I purchased early on went out after 2 years, I contacted customer service got an American on the phone (back in the good old days before Amazon took over and outsourced) they not only sent me a replacement they sent me an upgraded Ring doorbell, it is still going strong, happy customer. Now my current issue is with a spotlight camera, this camera is installed our vacation home a distance away. We purchased to keep an eye on our property. We had 2 neighbors alert us that the camera had a loud buzzing noise, we had to drive a distance to see what was going on unplugged the unit immediately to stop the noise. Went through tech support 10/23/22 and they said they would send a new unit. 2 weeks passed nothing, another 2 weeks nothing, be patient... it's backordered. Now we're 3 months out same thing. I think this is unreasonable. I come to find out through my own research that my unit has been replaced with an newer 2022 model, if my unit is completely outdated and continually out of stock the right thing to do IMO is send the upgraded model ASAP. I am on the protection plan. I asked customer service if they could send the upgraded model, yes for an extra $50.00 (I don't see that there has been a price increase since I last purchased so why $50? ALSO the upgraded unit would arrive in 1-2 weeks (sound familar, I've heard this before) why so long, I've been waiting 3 months for a replacement already, get on it. I said I can order a new model on Amazon and get it here in 5 days, so why 1-2 weeks? I feel uneasy having them charge my credit card and come to find the new unit is also back-ordered. I need a Black unit which seems inclined to not be in stock verses the white unit. The customer service person asked where I purchased the unit, RING.COM, what difference does that make, it's a RING product, I am contacting your customer service to make this right. Just so frustrating, I am now in limbo waiting on RING to deliver, not counting on them to come through anytime soon.

16 MONTHS AGO my ring stopped charging so I called and was told they would send me a new one and a return box. It never came despite my sending multiple emails. So, I gave up & got my own cameras. Then I recently got a notice that they were about to charge my credit card. When I checked my bank I see they have been charging me all along with no doorbell hooked up. I had to call & get refunds and cancel! NO APOLOGIE. They couldn't care less. Not paying for useless products & non-existent customer service. BUH-BYE RING.

“Northern” climate??
Every time there is a problem with one of my Ring doorbells or floodlight cameras, customer service tells me “oh, you live in the north? It’s because you live in a northern climate.” They market primarily to “North” America, and I don’t see any warnings about cold temperatures when I go to buy the equipment! Poor excuse. I’ve had dawn-to-dusk lights from Home Depot that worked better!
The Worst ever services
Wow, at the time of writing this review, I saw 69% with a rating of one (1). Ring is the worst in customer service. When they first started out and especially before Amazon brought them, they were much better services. Now they are the worst service ever. They are in the same boat as AT&T. I called about issues with the camera, it takes forever to try to fix, and today, I still can't share the camera properly in the app. They are clueless as to what is going on.
Archaic tech and Poor customer care
Poor customer support. Archaic hardware. Who was the engineer who thought people never needed to reset a wifi password? Every camera requires you to manually press a stupid button on the camera. Like how hard was it to make an option on the app that allows the camera to connect via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct to someone’s phone and update it? I guess this is a “security” feature. But we all know Amazon is in bed with the CIA so there is no “security”. I don’t want the government in my system anymore than some petty thief.
Would not recommend Ring
Would not recommend Ring. It is marketed as an easy door bell and security camera but it is way more complicated than 'easy'. Firstly once you purchase this door bell you then have to pay for a subscription to actually be able to play back the video. Then the authentication and sign up process just sends you in loops until you get really frustrated and then have to call customer service which is equally as frustrating, and each time I have called they are having a software upgrade. I think that is their default answer when things dont work.
All in all, it is not what it is marketed as. It's a basic door bell with very expensive features - after you spend alot of money to actually get the door bell

Issue out of my Control
I contacted ring as our doorbell was no longer working due to the freezing temperatures. After troubleshooting the device, I was told there wasn't anything I could do to replace it, other than get a discounted rate. Due to the extremely fridged temperatures our ring doorbell no longer worked, and because I only had the standard protection plan and not the premium, my ring doorbell wasn't covered. How about that for customer service?
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. I've been trying to return my door bell for the last 15 days( because it's not worth a penny) but customer service is incompetent and not informative so I haven't been able to return it.The same process takes in few clicks in other websites but ring.com just horrible. I wish I had checked Trustpilot before I made purchase decision.

Horrible customer service! Been a long time customer have many many products between home and work my floodlight camera lens became cloudy a little after one year. They wouldn’t help or listen to anything bc it’s just out of warranty basically just read off a screen the whole time discourteous and very rude! Don’t recommend them pay all this money just to have the product for one year!
Crap service and support
Crap service and support. If anything goes wrong with your subscription you lose all video footage you have ever recorded. They don’t care either. Support is condescending and unhelpful. I can chastised and talked down to without paying for it. Do not trust these people with your security footage. I still have notifications of the footage. As soon as I talked to Rind the notifications disappeared with the footage. Was a supporter for a lot of year. My loyalty to this company is gone! Just like my videos! BTW Ring, I told you when I got off the phone I was leaving reviews everywhere I could. I’ll spend more time reviewing you, than you will trying to get my footage back. Have a nice day!

Someone hacked into my cameras this week - BEWARE!!!
Someone hacked into my cameras at around 1:40am Tuesday night, hoping to get a show.
Then, he hacked into the 2-way speaker the following night at roughly the same time. That time he spoke to me in a whisper (the entire time). He called me by my full name. He said he was coming over. And I question how much information he has since he knows my full name.
This was very creepy, and scary. I am not happy with the way Ring is “handling” the matter.
This device is marketed to the public as a security device that is vulnerable to hackers and criminal activity, thus stripping Ring customers of any security they intended to gain from purchasing such a phony piece of equipment in the first place. Ring cameras are weaponized against its customers through terrorists who are not held accountable because Amazon refuses to be accountable to its consumers.
Shame on Amazon, shame on Ring, shame on Bezos.
If you insist on continuing to use this piece of garbage make sure you have a firewall, VPN, 2-step authentication, reset your Ring password frequently, reset your Amazon password frequently, set up 2 step sign in for your Amazon as well, and reset your WiFi password and WiFi name (don’t keep the generic name and password it came with).
Ring is a joke. Get a real security system. Stop giving your money to a “security”company that isn’t going respond swiftly in a matter where safety is concerned.

Peeping Tom and loitering is a criminal activity. In the state of California you need two consenting parties to a recording. When Amazon is not actively/proactively preventing this from happening on their Ring platform then Amazon is a willing participant in the crime that is committed against its consumers. Amazon is part of the problem and misleading the public.
Of course I tried notifying my Ring Neighbors, and Ring denied me the ability to warn my community.

Apparently, I can only post about lost dogs or stolen Amazon packages on the Ring community. I am not able to post about a real crime that was committed against me, in my home home, with the Ring product. I’ll say it again, Ring is a joke.

If you're in Ireland DONT
If you're in Ireland DONT. I bought a ring doorbell 4 and chime. I decided it was not for us so tried returning under the 30 day no questions return policy. The package wasn't even opened.
That's where the fun began. They issued return labels and organized collection with UPS on 3 occasions. Nobody showed. On the 4 call to them I was told UPS don't collect in Ireland for them and would have to arrange return myself. I did this via UPS directly and it was collected next day. 6 weeks later I make another call to find out where my refund is. They are going to issue in 5-10 working days. I hold my breath in anticipation. The customer service it terrible. The people are polite but keep putting you on hold to ask other departments what to do. I have spent over 2 hours on the phone trying to sort it out and as their toll free international number doesn't connect I have had to pay for the calls. Good thing is I was the first person at work to purchase on and have managed to put approx 20 people off buying the . We have all bought Eufy products from Harvey Norman. In built memory so no subscription required unless you want to subscribe. Rant over.
Major Rip off unless you sign up for yearly service subscription
This company can be upfront and tell customers they need to subscribe to a service to actually see someone at your door. They charge $39 per year to enable the ring door bell to show someone at your door unless you happen to be holding your phone in your hand when someone appears at your door. Didn't know this until the 30 day grace period elapsed. After the 30 days, you need to subscribe or you have no access to pics or videos of visitors. It doesn't store or save anything unless you have the subscription. You cannot review who was at your door. Had I been aware of this yearly charge, I would not have purchased and installed Ring products. Very underhanded of them to do business this way. Instead of advertising how great the product is, they should tell you it is virtually useless unless you subscribe to their yearly service. I would not recommend this product at all. Do your research and don't get dupped by these con artists like I did.

Hostile and horrible customer service ring stopped working and it failed now to get a warranty cant because the subscription lapsed for 2 days due to card fraud.

Let me start with I am LEGALLY BLIND. I purchased a Video Doorbell 3 and a chime. The chime arrived separate from the doorbell. The chime box inside of the undamaged shipping box was torn open suggesting to me that it was a used/returned device. I called customer support to initiate a return of the chime. I was told the only way to return this chime was to provide the MAC address off the box. Apparently Ring doesn't keep track of the MAC address of the devices they sell/ship to their customers. I am physically unable to read the MAC address off the box due to my disability. The Ring employee transferred me to her supervisor after not being able to assist me. The supervisor's suggestion to me since I am blind and unable to read the MAC address, was for me to sell the item on my own in order to receive a refund. That idea won't work either, because the box was torn open when I received it from Ring. I do not know how to proceed beyond this point. I have never been treated this badly ever before by any company I have delt with. There has to be a way for Ring to assist me with this exchange. I'm hoping someone with the ability to rectify this situation sees this message and contacts me. The order number is: 4771857.

This app is the worse
This app is the worse. The little bit of footage it does capture it doesn't produce a clear picture. I would not recommend this app ever. Once my subscription is over I will purchase another product from another vendor. If you call customer service it connects you to a non English speaking agent that has no clue on how to assist you with any of the problems you maybe experiencing with this app. Don't waste your time or money on this app. You will be a very unhappy customer like myself
This "ring" claims to hold a charge for…
This "ring" claims to hold a charge for 6 months, but I had to recharge after one month. They are very specific about my need to use their tiny proprietary screws. Anybody else have gravel under their ring locations? I suspect that they make as much from screw replacement as from their monthly fees. No customer support. Don't even bother to call.
Terrible cameras and customer service
Have had indoor camera for years and very happy with quality and app to manage this.
I had an awful experience with customer service though. They do a bad job catering for the Irish market. they supply an EU 2 pin plug instead of the UK/IRE 3 pin plug. Asked customer service to cancel my order 20 mins after placing it when I realized and they just left the chat. talk about grinding a guy's gears.
Still trying to return camera. i had to open a case with my bank. Never again
