Only giving one star cause I have to at…
Only giving one star cause I have to at least give one ! The products are ok the customer service is completely trash ! They are a very sneaky company that you need to keep an eye if you have their service or products I was pretty much forced in buying a up graded product cause mine died at the same time as the price upgrade . When I called they said they don't know why it died maybe it's just too old so the product comes I installed it removed old product off app installed new one on app back on the road everything good till couple days ago it stopped recording videos so I call the very rude overseas agent says "for some reason Im unable to add the new device to the app for some reason ?" Imagine that so she wanted to delete my old account and start a new one w the new device for what ? So you can raise the prices yes that what it was cause that was next the prices raised and you'll be charged this much . I already paid for the year back in May or June but they wanted to charge me again that's why my video recording stopped . Well my question is why did my service stop (I've had the service since ring doorbell hit the shelves ) I didn't change anything but the product cause I figured I already paid for the year they won't reimbursed me for the year so I buy the discount device they are offering 35%off new one , so now I have a new device that don't record cause I refuse to pay the extra money . Cause I guarantee if Ring didn't kill my old device nothing would of changed !

Waardeloos. Werkt een jaar.
Na een jaar kun je niets meer terug zien. Als je abonnement opzegt ben je alles kwijt. Waar je voor betaald hebt kun je ook niet terug kijken. Echt heel slecht.

A fuir car il y a un abonnement
Nous avons acheté une sonnette et profitez d'une offre avec un écho 5. Si on prend pas l'abonnement ring on accède qu'au direct ! Invraisemblable en gros on accède pas aux contenus vidéos passés ... Genre ils ont fait une sonnette sans mémoire à l'intérieur ou alors il y a en une qui bride sans abonnement... Scandaleux

Useless oversea’s connection compared with cheap Wi-Fi cameras
I have a ring doorbell and 2 cheap Wi-Fi cameras - currently on a cruise the cameras work first time the ring doorbell is useless sorry I renewed my contract - avoid if you want a reliable service buy NetView cameras instead as they work

You don't get what you pay for!
The reason I'm giving this a 2 star rating is because the CS agent was kind and patient. The actual service of the company is less than 1 star. I got a message on my front door that I had so many days (each day was a countdown) to renew my subsciption so hat I would not loose my stored videos. Well they erased my videos when the message said I had three days left. The video link did not provide help to renew, so I ended up calling CS. They told me that Ring keeps videos for 180 days but since my subscription expired (while the message said 3 days left), they could not retrieve the video. I went over how any company with a database storage component backs up each night - at least - and they had the videos. They said this is what they are told to say and I was SOL. It would not be important had not the three videos that I am looking for captured carjacking evidence in my community. I had already sent the police one but there were three more that I need capturing the car coming into the neighborhood. Guess what, RING doesn't care. They said if the police filled out the necessary paperwork and submitted, they could get it that way--toltally nullifying the claim that the videos were gone. I have six ring cameras at two different addresses. As soon as possible I am switching to another security source.

I would give it zero stars if I could. Customer service is the worst. Chat with them? Hahaha you mean you type something and they send a number back that’s constantly busy and then the chat is ended. Once t Your subscription is over you no longer have access to your old videos or footage. My friend was killed by her ex recently because she needed footage to show police so that they could arrest him for what he did, unfortunately Ring stated that since she no longer had a subscription that she no longer has access to that. So the police went along their way. A day later she was found in her place stabbed to death 54 times. He’s jail, but it could have been avoided if Ring wasn’t so stingy…..Ring needs to be sued….

I have homes in Rochester NY and Mesa…
I have homes in Rochester NY and Mesa AZ that are protected by Ring cameras and door bell. I’m currently in Rochester NY. I’m having trouble with two of my cameras in Mesa AZ. Both cameras are outside and show that they were tripped but when I pul up the video it says no video for this event. I was told by the service people that they were under warranty but I have to be in AZ to do this. That’s 2500 miles away. Not going to be there until December 1st. More than likely the warranty will be expired by then. Til then my home will be unsecured. That’s not why I purchased your products. I went with your reputation.

Missuse
Ring is suppose to be a security system. My complaint is that people are allowed to put on security alert, missing pets. Frequently you get notices and when you check, it’s someone with a missing pet or some pet roaming the neighborhood. NOT what a security system should be used for

Ring werkt niet volgens Nederlandse wetteksten
Deurbel en 2 chimes besteld, helaas zonder abonnement werkt de bel niet zoals ik verwacht had dus binnen 3dgn na ontvangst retour gestuurd. Ontvangst in Duitsland was paar dagen later, echter retour betaling is pas 15 werkdagen nadat ring de retour heeft ontvangen?? Mag dit, nee conform de wet mag dit niet zolang duren. Ring reactie is dat ze geen NL bedrijf zijn, ik zeg als een bedrijf in Nederland verkoopt dan vallen ze toch onder de NL wetten?? Reactie van ring is het chat gesprek maar af te breken. Wat een vreemde toko is die Ring zeg. Ben blij dat ik het meteen retour heb gestuurd ipv de 30dgn te wachten, wie weet hoe lang het dan allemaal gaat duren met terug betalen. Volgende keer als ik ooit bij Ring bestel dan altijd via een ander zoals bol, mediamarkt of zoiets maar nooit meer direct bij Ring. Update: Inmiddels heeft Ring het bedrag retour gestort waarvoor dank en binnen de wettelijke termijn, dit ontslaat Ring niet van het feit dat de service verlening online onder de maat is. Ik ben opgelucht goed te zijn weggekomen van deze vreemde Toko

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
I just had the worst experience with Ring's "customer service" (I'm using the term loosely, b/c what they provided was not customer service). I am locked out of my account, b/c I have a new phone and don't have the old phone to login with. I spoke with a useless customer service agent and am still locked out. I provided my cell phone number and the email address associated with my account and repeated the verification code he sent me once I received it via email, and he still refused to let me access my own account. This was seriously the WORST customer service ever and a huge waste of time given that I waited on hold for 10 minutes to even speak to anyone. They may as well not have a customer service department.

I have a solar step light that is broke…
I have a solar step light that is broke after 5 months, I have 5 of them and spoke to representative and said they will replaced it and send me a wrong one. You will be on the phone for hours and hours and they don't know what they are doing after 5 days I asked them what they will do said the item was out of stock and have to call again after 3 weeks without certainty. I spoke to 3 agen spend total of 5 hours. I have to print the label and go back and forth with UPS with price of gas and your precious time. They won't even offer something for their customer. Bad Service I won't but anymore Ring Products.

I was on the phone for 1 hour
I was on the phone for 1 hour. They took money out of my account and had no record of it. I payed for the year in July. Then they took money out again in August. How do you not see the transaction. My bank is now handing it. Customer service needs to get it together if they want customers

Worst customer service!!!
The actual camera and the app I actually really like. Their customer service is not even 1 star. I have/had a claim for vandalism... police report and footage all given to ring. Almost a year ago...still can't receive a call back and email nothing. I have probably reach out well over a dozen times. I'm not even mad that they didn't live up to their replacement.....but can I get an actual answer.

DO NOT BUY RING PRODUCTS!!!! BEWARE
Bought a ring doorbell bundle with a stick up camera and also purchased a mount. I received 2 out of 3 items. First, the ring doorbell is not the ‘wireless’ one I purchased. Second, I have not received the stick up camera. Called customer service. Was on for 59 minutes (36 of it was just waiting for a customer service rep). Once on with them, the rep “Kim” could not help me. She wanted all sorts of information but couldn’t find out where the 3rd item was. I was calling to return all of it back to RING. DO NOT BUY ANY RING PRODUCTS! Their customer service is terrible and you can not get any help when there is an error or to return things. Buy a NEST or literally anything else. We will not be replacing 2 spotlights and another doorbell because of this poor service. DO NOT BUY RING!!!!

Wenn man im Urlaub ganz weit weg ist…
Wenn man im Urlaub ganz weit weg ist kann man dieser Kamera garnicht trauen sobald Wlan weg ist, ist die Kamera nur mehr offline und um es wieder zu aktivieren muss man auf das Knopf drücken bei der Kamera, nur wie soll das von der Ferne funktionieren unnötige Anschaffung!!!

Ring doorbell cams will not reconnect…
Ring doorbell cams will not reconnect to my network...the ONLY devices in the house that won't reconnect on their own. I spend more time putting them back on line than they are worth. The network aspect of the Ring doorbell cam is pathetic and will cost you more time and aggravation than benefit. Oh, they don't tell you they are off line until you try to use them. As for customer support, it's broken too. They seemed to be far more concerned with their goofy screws than anything the you might need taken care of. I will NEVER buy another Ring product and wish I could get my money back for the worthless equipment I bought from them.

Was suppose to get a refund from ring for an accidental charge was promised I would get a refund in 3 days it has been 4 days and no refunds yet called my bank and was told that they had no info about the refund the person I talked to who is a supervisor Sheryl was very rude and kept telling me that the refund was processed I would recommend that people not go with ring because they are crooked

Rings Not That Good
Let me start out by saying Ring is not the worst but they are no way near being the best either. The constant firmware update issues is what really sucks about Ring. The commercials that show that you can talk on the door cams and cameras flawlessly is a distortion of the truth. They do not work that good. None stop problems after firmware updates is why Ring is not a reliable security system. Their equipment has so much trouble connecting to wi-fi of all types. I actually tested on some really good wi-fi networks and the connection pretty much fails on everyone. Picture quality is horrific. About 60% of the time quality will be OK then the lag will start. Their customer service is stationed in the Philippines and the agents will spend 10 to 15 minutes on a tech call thanking you and apologizing to you. They run you through all the basic steps making you think that you are the idiot when in fact about 95% of the time the issue is due to a recent firmware update. Their follow-up is bad too. I would highly recommend trying another company than Ring. It is not bad for a small apartment or something but if you really want a nice security system to protect your house and have good camera access and recordings, stay away from Ring. The only two good things about Ring is the price is cheap and they have a good warranty on their equipment. Other than those two things, everything else is below average or sucks miserably.

Customerservice sucks
The cameras are nice and easy to install. I have 6 of them and after a year I noticed lack of recording and the menu changed how to delete entire weeks with one click. One of the resons I chose ring was their good customer service. Now, you can't get anybody, not even a tech on the phone! Customer service sucks and I will replace the entire system because of that. If a company can't handle growth they shouldn't until they can.

The Ring doorbell servers unfortunately…
The Ring doorbell servers unfortunately are very bad. Every time when I try to connect to the live stream (because someone rings the door), it just doesn't connect. I’m having this problem for over 4-5 months now in which it hasn’t worked properly once! After calling the customer service, they repeatedly want to reset the doorbell and try some steps with no results. And when I’m on the phone with the customer support, it suddenly works again. The second time when I’ve called I purposely let someone else next to me (same Doorbell, different address), who’s facing the same problem, connect to the live stream. It didn’t work. This either must be a big coincidence or they’re just making fun of you. Too bad guys! I was a big fan of your doorbell, but will buy a different one very soon!
