Abo ab 1.Juli 2022 von 30,- auf 39,99 € erhöht. Das ist eine unverschämte Steigerung. Die Videospeicherung ist zwar nun statt 30 Tage 180 Tage abrufbar, aber wer brauch so einen langen Zeitraum.

Abonnement Ring camera
Kreeg net een mail, dat het jaarabonnement voor 1 camera, met 33% verhoogd wordt van 30.00 naar 39.99, onder het mom van meer mogelijkheden. Een van de mogelijkheden is dat de opslag van beelden van 30 dagen naar 180 dagen gaat. Welke particulier zit hier op te wachten. Het nieuwe tarief gaat per 1juli 2022 in. Als je niet wilt, moet je opzeggen. Overigens heb ik een paar weken geleden net 30.00 betaald voor een jaar.

Kosten abonnement absurd gestegen
Het was al geen bijster goed apparaat, maar vandaag een bericht ontvangen dat de prijs van het abonnement met 33% verhoogd wordt!!!! Dit is de druppel.

Absolute joke
Absolute joke. Spotlight battery cam wouldn’t set up, spent a whole morning with customer service then advanced technical support. Was told there is a known firmware issue stopping setup. I was told to “hang on in there”. Was promised a response within 2h by phone which didn’t happen, then an email today telling me my case was resolved, pointing me to the standard setup page again. Ring, you should be absolutely embarrassed taking money for something you know doesn’t work. And, to the customer “service” person who told me they would lose their job for sending a replacement, why is that a valid reason not to look after a customer?

changed my phone number and now RING…
changed my phone number and now RING can't change the phone number to allow access to my account making my product unusable. The owner sits on Shark Tank panel, making himself to be this concerning, smart techy but can't even change a phone number so i can access my account. Unbelievable! Don't purchase any Ring product because they don't have the technical support to help keep your product working. BEWARE!

Neemt vaak niet op
Neemt vaak niet op, mis oproepen terwijl er mensen voor de deur staan. 3 x met ring support gebeld, ik werd wel vriendelijk geholpen maar elke keer dezelfde stappen doorgelopen. Duidelijk aangegeven dat ik dit al eerder heb doorlopen maar dat het probleem zich blijft voordoen. Maandag nog 1 keer bellen, voorstel ring omruilen of geld terug en ring retour.

I have a protection plan but the…
I have a protection plan but the provider refuse to replace a faulty system because it is installed in my house in South Africa while I live in the UAE. I offered to take the replacement, pay a retainer fly to South Africa, replace the system and bring back the faulty system to get the retainer back. They refuse and therefor the protection plan is worthless. Have recommended them to a lot of people in the past, but will not do it anymore due to non existing customer service

Onbetrouwbare bel
De Ring deurbel lijkt me zeer onbetrouwbaar te werken, de mensen waar ik aanbel die een Ring deurbel hebben doen vaak pas open als ik stevig op de deur klop, krijg regelmatig te horen dat de bel het niet doet. Als ik ergens aan moet bellen waar een Ring aan de deur hangt dan weet ik het wel.... dat het een tijdje duurt voor er open gedaan wordt.

Not worth the headache
The front door goes offline more often that usual. Nothing has changed with my Wi-Fi. Also I called support and they couldn’t do anything not even push a button to reset the ring device. I’m not paying for something that doesn’t work and ring can’t even help me. He said I would have to open it and push the button to reset it. Well if I could do that do you think I would be calling you. I’m on vacation dude! What a joke!

Encryption isn’t real
I’ve had my suspicions so I called about an issue and didn’t give a name or any contact info I said “I have the number I’m calling from attached to my account. Isn’t that verification enough of my account?” Representative said no they are encrypted. Okay no problem and hung up. A few hours later they’ve contact me about my issue. Addressed me by name, through my email about the ring doorbell 2 I have on my front door. None of that info was given so if it’s genuinely encrypted for our safety how did she get it? Because it’s not encrypted and there isn’t actually any safety. I will be contacting a lawyer shortly about a lawsuit regarding fake safety protocols.

Abo Zwang ohne Umwege!
Erstens muss man ein Abo abschließen um verpasste Videos anzusehen und zweitens ist der Kundenservice so unfassbar grauenhaft. Ich weiß zwar nicht wo diese Leute sitzen, aber sie schreiben so gebrochen deutsch und Überfliegen konkrete Anweisungen und Schilderungen im Chat. Ich musste mich auch mehrmals wiederholen, weil sie mich einfach nicht verstanden haben.... Nie wieder... Schade eigentlich, weil das Produkt an sich ganz ok war... Ich bin jetzt mit meinem Ganzen zu Ubiquiti gewechselt, ohne Abozwang oder der Möglichkeit auch via RTSP Videos aufzuzeichnen weil die Video Doorbells das nicht freigeben

I spent $300 on one camera
I spent $300 on one camera. Plus I pay for the monthly subscription. I don’t understand the point of paying for something that just doesn’t work. Blacks out you charge the battery it last maybe 30 minutes. And you’re alive you lags so you get like the last 10 seconds of a minute clip. It’s always off-line even when your Wi-Fi is working. I honestly just don’t see the point of it. My family and I went to another system and we couldn’t be happier!

Erstens muss man ein Abo abschließen um verpasste Videos anzusehen und zweitens ist der Kundenservice so unfassbar grauenhaft, dass alles zu spät ist.. Ich weiß nicht wo diese Leute sitzen, aber sie sprechen so gebrochen deutsch und in Verbindung mit der schlechten Audio Qualität, kann man fast nichts verstehen.. Ich musste mich auch mehrmals wiederholen, weil sie mich einfach nicht verstanden haben.... Nie wieder... Schade eigentlich, weil das Produkt an sich ganz ok war...

I wouldn’t purchase any ring products. None their products are repairable. I purchased the spotlight cam and the light began to fail right after 1 yr. Contacted ring to get replacements and they said they don’t offer replacement parts. Another complaint is the camera requires a subscription to access your video. The third complaint is the terms of use requires you to waive your legal rights and options to force the company to treat you like a valued customer. You can follow the complaints.

I have three Ring products
I have three Ring products. 1 doorbell, 2 cams. We’ve had them just a little over 1 year. The back cam completely stopped working about 6 months ago. The other cam & the doorbell, can barely keep a charge on the batteries. I think the idea was a good idea, but they’ve obviously used very cheap products for manufacturing. Save your money.

Worse than simply bad support, as they actually lie to your face
I purchased a ring floodlight cam in December 2021. In February 2022 I noticed that the camera would no longer record any video, live view was simply a white screen. After having tried everything possible to fix it on my own side I decided to contact Ring Support. After making me lose between three and four hours over the phone, between first level tech-support and subsequently a higher level of support, they finally accepted there was a problem with the camera and decided to replace the unit. I mentioned to them that I spent 250 usd to have the unit installed. And asked whether it would be possible to have some kind of compensation with regards to this, as the camera was only three months old. As I expected the answer was no. I received an automated email indicating that a new unit had been ordered and shipped to my address (as always without any tracking information) . Not only the unit never arrived, but they never answered any emails and reminders I sent to them subsequently. As they actually claimed that the unit was shipped to me, I now realize the whole thing is manipulation and lies, as this happened to me with another unit three or four years ago. I am incredibly disappointed by the loss of time and loss of trust coming from a company owned by Amazon. If anybody from ring is reading this: you should be ashamed of yourselves.

This has been the worst customer service experience I've had in a while: failure to replace the device under warranty despite having a valid service plan; unfulfilled online order; hours on the phone to resolve the issue with eventual refund from obstinate rep Jefferson E.

Charged me for a year for broke camera…
Charged me for a year while camera was broken in a drawer. The cheaply made backing plate had broken. Called to cancel subscription because we’d forgotten our login. Got a woman with an attitude who told us without our email there was NO WAY to look up our account or stop the charges. That is 100% garbage. Luckily my wife remembered what email and we got it cancelled. 58 or so dollars they got from me for doing/providing absolutely nothing. Avoid this company.
