Defective subscription
The cameras themselves are very nice, but the trial is heavily misleading on the quality you can expect. 30 days not a single issue with recording, not even 20 days in a paid membership for the second tier subscription and it's been down twice with no access to the servers or videos taken during down time

Not reliable camera & poor customer service
Very poor customer service & the reliability of their cloud or internal servers that the cameras rely on is frequently unreliable/spotty - be prepared to loose access to your recordings and ability Live View in an emergency because even if your cameras are up and online and your WIFI is great/fast, something at internal Ring will be down and you are dead in the water. You will be on hold for hours and often disconnected having to call and wait on hold again. Their cloud/system goes down multiple times a year (sometimes as frequently as monthly) and you are left w/out functioning cameras/security. I was attracted to the Ring Floodcam because they were so easy to install by just replacing flood lights I already had. And that is still true, they ARE easy to install and set up in locations that already have electric wiring, but what is the point of security cameras that are frequently down and can't capture critical situations. My old motion detection lights w/out camera were more reliable.

Retour sturen? Trek er maar een halve dag voor uit.
Onze deurbel past niet op de huidige aansluiting vandaar dat ik hem retour wil sturen. Na een half uur (!!!!!!) aan de telefoon te hangen met jullie klantenservice, het aanmaken van een account (welke ik dus nooit ha gebruiken) en het openen van de doosjes voor de MAC nummers (tsja, hoe ga je die deurbel en chime nu nog verkopen) de bevestiging ontvangen dat ik binnen 2-3 werkdagen een retour formulier ontvang. Het is 2021, hoe moeilijk kan het zijn om een pakketje retour te sturen? Als dit geen ontmoedigingsbeleid is, dan weet ik het ook niet meer.

Faulty Ring camera solar
I bought a Ring camera battery. I installed it over my front door. It has not worked correctly since I put it up. It only Live streams occasionally. The motion detection only works occasionally. I have rang customer support 3 times. A 30 minutes conversation every time. My issue still have not been resolved. I asked for a replacement and a return docket. Ring has kept telling me the camera works fine. It doesn't. I will throw the camera in the trash and be done with it. Avoid Ring.

Der Support ist eine Frechheit - um einen Artikel zurückzusenden musste ich eine dubiose Nummer anrufen, dort im Gespräch sollte ich eine Email beantworten und Zugang auf mein Amazon Konto geben. Von den zurückzusenden Artikel wurde die MAC Adresse abgefragt und jetzt soll irgendwann ein Retourenschein kommen nachdem ich mich mit Informationen komplett nackig gemacht habe was ein unsicheres Gefühl hinterlässt. Ist bei einem Sicherheitssystem irgendwie ironisch - NIE WIEDER

Dishonest company w/ awful customer service
purchased $1250+ worth of ring security equipment after my car was stolen out of my driveway. The order was placed October 16. I got an order confirmation but was never updated beyond that. 3 weeks later I began making phone calls to cancel my order. It took 4 phone calls, including one to a supervisor to finally get it cancelled more than a month later on November 21. As of today, Sunday night December 5th, I’ve still not been refunded for the initial charge of more than $1250! At this point, as we approach 2 months of no product, no communication, and no refund, I would expect immediate refund plus interest. No one should ever have to spend the hours on the phone that I have just to get a company to do what they promised! It’s a couple weeks before Christmas, as a single mom of 4 kids and I have $1250+ locked up with a company that couldn’t care less about their customers. Buyer beware, they can and will take your immediate payment, but they will not communicate information about your order, and when you attempt to cancel it because a month later there’s still no update and you’ve been continuously lied to by CS agents, they make it nearly impossible to cancel, making you call back multiple times to talk to multiple departments as they always claim not to be the right person or department. I’m now waiting for someone from billing department to review my case. I shouldn’t have to call to get my money refunded weeks after the order was processed and months after the money was taken. This is honestly theft. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! There are plenty of other HONEST companies to do business with. I will never buy another ring product again, and I hope no one else does so they don’t feel the same frustration I do. This is unfair, it’s illegal, and I’m done being patient. If this doesn’t get immediate resolution, I’ll be forced to bring suit against this company.

Deurbel van ellende
Ik heb de Ring deurbel nu 3 jaar. Heb hem al vaak moet resetten ect. Nu doet de deurbel het niet meer aangezien de batterij niet oplaadt. De deurbel is bedraad aangesloten maar dit mag niet baten volgens Ring. Door de kou en te veel beweging loopt de batterij blijkbaar sneller leeg dan dat hij stroom oppakt. WERKELIJK? Deurbel zelf kost meer dan €100,-. Als je minder goed WIFI-Signaal hebt moet je een Chime aanschaffen want ander gaat je mobiele telefoon niet over als de deurbel wordt gebruikt. De Chime is ook te prijzig. En dan nog te bedenken dat ik jaarlijks meer dan €30,- betaal. Een zwaar ...... apparaat welke ik aan NIEMAND aanbeveel. P.s. Ik ben 28 jaar oud en heb een eigen onderneming als elektricien. Dit apparaat is absoluut NIET gebruiks vriendelijk!

Ik heb op 20 november producten besteld. Kreeg vanuit Ring een e-mail dat de levering vertraagd is, maar dat de bestelling uiterlijk in de week van 6 december verzonden wordt. Vandaag (5 december) even gebeld met de klantenservice, maar die kan mij niet vertellen wanneer de bestelling verzonden wordt en ze zeggen ook niets van de e-mail te weten. Ik vind dat in deze tijd zeer teleurstellend, vooral omdat er CRM systemen zijn waarbij het mogelijk moet zijn om alle gegevens van een klant en een bestelling te raadplegen en met een gedegen antwoord te komen. Had van Ring meer professionaliteit verwacht. To be continued...

Ring Support run by "smart" people...
Spent 30minutes on support for a simple issue of sharing the cameras. Very hard to understand someone that English is a 2nd or 3rd language. Repeat, Repeat, Repeat. The command given by the agent was to ring my doorbell for verification. ANYONE can ring my doorbell with a physical presence. I was not home, away on business. I could, however, provide my alarm passcode so if someone is breaking in they would not call the police. That wasn't good enough. It's laughable, makes no sense. But whatever, I'll call my neighbor over to ring the doorbell, great security protocols! GO RING!

Wouldnt cancel order completed 20 mins ago. I need to drive 2 hours to return it! Not good enough ring....
Ordered a security set from ring. Saw that they misleadingly have the same price package including an indoor camera as for without! How odd... I called to cancel the order within 20 minutes of placing it and was advised that due to THEIR internal customer service delays it had now passed the 50 minutes needed to cancel it and so it was tough. I was assured that if I ordered the correct package again, that I would be able to refuse the incorrect order on deliver. well that didnt happen as the driver dumped both orders at the doorstep, no signature, no people presemnt! This gave me no opportunity to refuse it. I was honest and said what had happened. They sent me a return label for UPS in Shanon. I live in Clare. Hardly ideal when you have a baby! I have no way to return this at the moment. Contacted them to get help and spoke ot Salma on chat, she basically said it is tough, and that there is nothing they can and will do. I have escalated the chat to a manager. Was told that they will contact me in 24 hours, I doubt they will. Have advised Salma that she is mentioned on here for the lack of support. I am disgusted with them and want to return all my ring products now. What awful service from a company I honeslty believed would help me to feel more secure. I wont be paying for their service.

What a hot mess!
What a hot mess! I ordered a Ring Pro video doorbell over three months ago. At the time I was told it would take 4-6 weeks to be delivered. After 2 ½ months and no doorbell, I called to track my order. I was told that it had been delayed but was currently packed and waiting for the currier to pick it up. Another month went by with no delivery, so I called in again. The agent had no information on the status of my order. Over the course of the next 30 minutes, I asked to speak with her supervisor six times. She refused all but my last attempt, which I made after getting a refund issued (that was also painful). So far, I have not heard back from a supervisor despite the agent's promise. The agent also refused to give me a case number, a refund reference number, or any way to identify her. After three months of lies and deceit, I’ve had my fill this company. Don't waste your time or money with these guys!

vreselijk, dat er dus bij ons in de straat 5 mensen zijn met ring deurbel. en vreselijk dat iedereen deze deurbellen moet horen in de straat. want dat ding ringt buiten en niet binnen. dus ik hoor de hele dag bellen van een ander in me huis. waardeloos en heel irritant !! voor die prijs morgen jullie wel zorgen dat je je deurbel binnen hoort ipv buiten waar iedereen t kan horen. waardeloze deurbellen zeker als je t zelf niet een gekocht hebt.

Very frustrating with Ring customer…
Very frustrating with Ring customer service. No help, no assistance. They just dropped the chat. When I bought a new ring device, during activation they offer to receive a free face plate. I claimed it but have never received an email confirmation. In about 2 months I contacted them. They requested a proof. But I can't see that in the app not did I get an email. They said, sorry and dropped the chat while I was asleep ng still a direction to check for that offer. Horrible.

Extremely disappointed in Ring
Extremely disappointed in Ring. I have been a customer for years and paid the annual subscription for additional perks. My doorbell just recently stopped working. It was a replacement I had and owned it for just over a year. The bell button wouldn't ring so I called tech support who had me doing the same things for 25 minutes (i did tell him it was a hardware problem, as I tried everything already).No luck, the agent told me I wouldn’t get a replacement even though I pay an annual fee, and advised me to order a new one on the ring website::: he would send me a discount code to the value of 30% off anything I buy. An hour after the call i got the email, the code and went online(reluctantly) to buy a new doorbell. What can I say, the code didnt work, just to add, tech support didnt fix my problem and to finalise, i got a new doorbell just over a year old, and as it suddenly stopped working, its now no concern of Ring. ( i reflected after this whole issue and said to myself, why in the world am I paying a yearly fee to view my doorbell camera when its a camera doorbell and this was the point I bought it in the first plqce…..to see whos at the door, not to PAY to see whos at the door?!! Bye bye Ring, you got enough money from me, and you didnt support me back. Ill just get a camera doorbell that fits its purpose ( without making extra money out of me )… show me whos at the front door….

Klantenservice ondermaats!
Ik ben er een half jaar geleden enthousiast aan begonnen! Als het eenmaal werkt is het erg fijn, prachtig beeld, maar als je WiFi o.i.d niet helemaal stabiel is (want daar ligt het dan aan denk ik?) dan ben je de pineut. Soms dagen klooien met de bel, doet het dan weer wel, dan niet. Zo ook de afgelopen 2 dagen. Je kunt er niet van op aan. De ervaring met de klantenservice was ronduit om te janken! Zeer onvriendelijke medewerkster die er duidelijk geen zin in had. Tijdens het gesprek deed de deurbel het ineens weer en waren de statusrapporten verdwenen? Mevrouw zag geen problemen en begreep niet waar ik het over had....om woest van te worden!

Poor customer service
Just a little over a year, my ring doorbell pro quit working. I contacted support, they went through some checks, told me I needed a new one, and they would give me 35%off it I ordered it from them. I did, and they sent me a refurbished one. I contacted them, the support person contacted a supervisor, and he authorized for me to receive a new one. The next one I received was also refurbished. I contacted them again, they reviewed the previous notes, and said they would ship me a new one. I just received my third one, and it it a refurbished one as well. This has been going on since Oct. 20th. I also have a ring spotlight camera, i will not buy ring again. Very disappointed in their customer service.

Useless Product and Especially the Service!
I have been using Ring and their services for several years without incident, but last night was the first time I actually attempted to upload a video and dialog of what had just occurred. I actually tried it three times and all three times I was notified that my post did not meet their guidelines for posting. What use is it if I can't notify neighbors who also utilize Ring. Worthless! Here's what happened and while not anything serious, it was alarming because it had never occurred before. About 8:30 pm, a knock came at the front door. When I answered, there was a young man asking if he could come in and use the bathroom. I asked him who he was and where he lived. He gave his name and stated he lived just up the street. I asked him why he didn't just go around the corner which is relatively dark everywhere. He stated he didn't trust people. (But trusted enough to come into a strangers home and use the bathroom?). I told him to keep walking and closed the door. Now while his request may have been somewhat legit, it wasn't until I reviewed the footage and discovered that there was another subject that was hiding because I never observed him. Being in law enforcement, this definitely is something worth sharing with neighbors in the event they were maybe going to make entry or whatever else they were up to. I only heard his voice on the video. Customer Service is not any better. I will definitely be looking at a different system and recommend you doing the same. It's not even a person reviewing your post but a computer with set guidelines that determines if your post is worthy.

You had better hope that you do not need to return any product for a refund. It took 8 calls and around 4 hours to finally get my refund. I ordered a 2 pack camera and solar panel. The location I wanted to use was on my pation which gets a reasonable WiFi signal on my phone. The camera could not even be located by the Ring app. I started a return but first my online account showed "No eligible products on this order". Next I called and spoke to a guy with a heavy Indian accent who proceeded to tell me that I had to provide him with the MAC address of both cameras and the serial numbers of both solar panels. I was astonished because he did tell me that he was able to locate my order. When I asked him why he needed the information if he had already located the order he had no answer. He proceeded to tell me that the MAC address was on the outside of the box - it is not. Then he said it was on the back of the camera - it is not. I located it myself by removing the battery and seeing it inside the compartment. He told me that it would take 3-5 business days for me to get an email with a shipping label. After 10 days I called again and was told the EXACT same thing. Now I had to give the MAC addresses and serial numbers again along with the order number. This time I was promised an email within 24 hours that would contain an RMA and a shipping label. No email. I called again but now I was smarter, I had gathered all the information before the call. This time I actually received the RMA and label while I was on the call. I shipped the products back and waited ofr my refund. 11 days later, no refund. This time when I called they asked for all the previous information and the UPS tracking number (even though they generated the label). I had to go look for the tracking number so the operator told me she would send me an email that I could respond to with my tracking number. I received an email exactly as she said I would except it came from a "no-reply" email address. Next call, same routine but I had ALL the information at my fingertips. I told the operator that I was convinced that I would never get a refund because Ring was deliberately giving me the run around. He assured me that I would get my refund within 5-10 days. Lo and behold while he was still on the phone, I got an email from PayPal saying I had received a full credit from Ring. I would never buy anything from these people again, they are truly incompetent.
