tried to change the password could not open the account because they have the wrong cellphone number.can't get to the account. I have had this doorbell and chimes for a year and it has never worked properly, sometimes it works, mostly it doesn't. horrable product. would not recommend it.

I would not rate Ring Customer service with any "Stars". The Customer Service is aweful !!! It takes hours to get through to a clueless customer service representative. Once connect to a rep they have no clue how to help you, I believe they do not want to help you, supervisors are non existent and or "Busy"and can not be bothered. Worst ever, sorry i purchased these camera's, never again
Needed to update my Ring wifi…
Needed to update my Ring wifi connection. Ring app requested security code sent to email. The Ring email stated the only way to get the code was to get it generated from the Ring app. So the app is requesting security code was sent to email and the email states the app needs to generate the code?????
Only option is to be on hold with their customer service number for 30min or more (ignore their message your wait time is xx min.) I've called in twice, still not connected after 30min on hold even after 1st message stating wait time is 10min or 15 min.
Basically the hold time is so they can continue to play Ring commercials to you.
Horrible design for getting security updates to make changes to your account and customer service line (877-909-7918).
Goin to get rid of this poc product and get something else.

Der ex meiner freundin ist als Eigentümer registriert, verweigert sich allerdings das gerät zu löschen bzw behauptet er habe die app gelöscht und keinen zugriff mehr.
Jegliche Erklärungsversuche beim Kundendienst scheitern an den "hervorragend" deutschsprechenden Mitarbeitern. Man erklärt 10 mal das Problem, aber die Antworten werden wohl abgelesen oder es wird nicht verstanden das der Voreigentümer das Gerät nicht löscht.
Nach endlosen 15 Minuten erklären und der Aussage das mir da nicht geholfen werden könne, da sie nichts machen könnten, habe ich gefragt ob ich die Klingel, also ca 200 euro wegschmeissen kann wenn er sich weiter weigert. Als die Antwort "Ja" kam bin ich vom Glauben abgefallen.
Aber gut, es wird dann eine andere Klingel geben und ganz sicher keine mehr von Ring.

I wish I could give this a better score as in part the product, When you can get it is good. I do not use my with the ring support but self manage.
To Ring. Don't bother flagging this, I can and will verify if required. Spend the time please sorting your problems out.
Firstly, I buy from Ring Europe and its fair to say Europe is treated as a second class range of customers. Here is why.
A lot of products are simply not available on the EU website yet according to the actual product, when you get it, it is marked Z-Wave. As support tell me, that is not the case in Europe. So mis labelling the product.
The problem is ordering and supply. Through 3 separate email accounts (Yes Ring I can verify these) I have ordered and on three separate occasions I had to demand my money back. This is because when you order and pay, the system says they have stock, but in truth they do not.
Batteries and 2nd gen keypads are a real issue as is one cam.
On the first occasion my order was was packaged, ready for DHL collection but was never collected by DHL even though I was provided with a DHL tracking number. That was later found out to be untrue and Ring EU created a collection ticked with DHL yet had ran out of batteries they told me at the time they had in stock when ordering.
Second order, the system said 2nd gen key pads and the cam was in stock, yet 5 days later, after order was due to ship, the website then turned to no stock. No email, no contact, they had my money and held the entire order. I complained and had to demand a refund.
The third order was little better, same stock issues.
The fourth I did was for items not requiring a battery or key pad or camera. Solar panels for example of little use if there are no rechargeable batteries but best get them or they will run out of these.
Customer service. Not that great and at times very ignorant. Telling me I cannot cancel (actually in the EU its the law under the distance selling regulations). Telling me to check the status of my order takes 3 days as they have to contact EU distribution (which I understand is a third party and pretty useless company called Ingrams, based in Amsterdam).
3 days pass, contact support (they have no idea) and simple say will have to re contact and I need to wait another 3 day. No thanks.
The deeper insult is questioning when they will get stock in. They have zero idea at all, no way of being added to a notification list when stock does turn up, if it turns up and a take it or leave it attitude from some support people.
So Mr Jeff Bezos whose Amazon actually owns Ring. Might I suggest rather than wasting time and money of pojtless space related law suits. Role your sleeves up please and sort this mess out.
Hint. Batteries in USA seem plentiful. Its only a logistics issue to ship several thousand by air cargo and this will deal with a lot of the mass.
Customer Service….not
Two of my ring doorbell‘s were not capturing people events on my front step. I contacted the chat line after waiting 15 minutes and they finally told me that they couldn’t help and that I had to call an 800 number. I did that and was on hold for 22 minutes and then was dropped. I called back and then tried to reach the customer service line and they had a service where they would call me back. I tried do use it. They called me back and when I answered it said press one to be connected I did that and they disconnected me. They called back again and the same thing happened. So why have a service that doesn’t work. Why does it take an hour to try to reach someone from customer service. That’s really not Customer Service and it makes me question the new ring company under Amazon
Terrible tech support
Ever since ring outsourced their tech support to the Philippines the tech support became garbage. Not only do the techs lack knowledge it's also difficult to understand them. Their response are senseless most of the time. I was just talking to them about a smart bulb issue and they had a difficult time figuring it out. I realized I'm better off figuring this out myself. Terrible!
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service, I placed an order for a preorder when I found out item wouldnt be available til 2 months I attempted to cancel and was told no you cannot do that just wait 3 months than another 6 weeks to return and 2 more weeks for refund ABSURD
RING gone wrong
I bought a RING doorbell years ago and quickly found that it was not all that reliable but because this technology was new, it was the best available (at that time). Over the years, I added RING doorbells to my plan and found that the reliability never improved and the company began to reduce the quality of service. I always disliked that they keep my videos on their cloud (server). Clients have no way to save data exclusively on our cloud thus are forced to pay for annual plans.
Recently, RING "CHANGED" the way in which clients can access our data, removing the ability to access videos via a PC and have added "Ring reserves the right to change this offer, our subscription plans, or pricing for our services or any components, at any time, effective as of the beginning of your next billing period." to their terms of use.
There are now a wide variety of better products on the market and its time to say goodbye to this company and their strangle hold on my data and money.
Ring 3 subscription manipulations
Purchased a Ring 3 approximately one year ago. It worked well until the initial video subscription period was up. Since then it has been a constant problem on a weekly basis. Ring first required a subscription for their video recordings. This week that changed to include the motion alerts. At this point the Ring 3 is simply and overpriced doorbell. The Ring sellers appear to be attempting to force buyers to submit to purchasing a subscription plan in order to use the Ring 3 basic functions. Had I been made aware of this practice I would not have made the purchase. At least you are now aware. Happy shopping.
RING NEW FEATURE UPDATE RENDERS DETECTION USELESS

After several years of working a Ring home alarm and cameras and dealing with antiquated functions and performance, Ring made a bad system even worst with the latest update.
The latest "smart alert" settings render human detection notification worthless, nada, non-functioning.
while it will detect and alert a solo or a group of people walking by it will not alert you or a person's presence if that individual arrived in a vehicle. If delivery personnel parks in front of your house and proceeds to exit the vehicle and drops off the package at your front door RING camera will read it as a "Motion", not a "Person". this brings me to my dilemma of which I want to be notified if a person enters my yard.
After contacting Ring SEVERAL times with my issue and complaints, I was finally told that there is nothing any customer rep and can do other than resetting the camera and function settings or keep making adjustments. I have to deal with it or hope they make a better system and even told once that they understand if I want to change to another brand even though I pay for the yearly Home security and camera cloud storage. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, would have thought better from an Amazon Brand.

Calling in is TERRIBLE! Called two weeks ago to get a replacement device since the one I had stopped responding. Went through tech support and after emailing pictures, per their request, I was told via email a replacement device was being processed and I would have it in 5 business days. After checking the mailbox for a week after the 5 days, I call in while on my lunch break and I am told there is no record of my call and no notes from the days I provided and that I had to trouble shoot my device again before they could do anything to help me. Hung up on them since I wasn't home and upset since they couldn't help me. Just called back in today (9/27/2021) and spoke with "arnell". When he told me the same thing as the last rep, I told him I was dumbfounded and asked to speak with a supervisor. His response: "I am trained to handle these situations" and would not transfer me. Then, ALL OF A SUDDEN, notes were found! I was told a replacement was being sent and put on hold for 10 to 15 more mins just so he could "finalize the notes" just to find out there is an issue with your system. Received a survey from my last call and I guess no one reads the "0" reviews. Please help.
Not Real Time
Good if you want to know who was at your door; but you have to pay monthly for that. Bad if you want to see them real time and speak to them, because the delay - even with Gigibit Broadband, is 30 secs to a minute and the person has already left the door.
Inconsistent monitoring, poor customer service, bad business practices
I installed Ring doorbell cameras 2 years ago. I have had several instances where the camera did not report someone at the door with no explanation why. Very hard to get ahold of anyone at company. Poor customer service. They also changed to a 'forced' two step verification method that no longer allows email as any method of verification. This is a BIG problem if your cell service is sketchy in your home or place of work. They wouldn't bend on this issue or make any exceptions. They were actually rude about it when I tried to work this out. They 'forced' this new policy immediately after I renewed my plan for another year. No refunds what-so-ever and I can no longer use the Ring camera reliably. I do NOT recommend this company!
Ring going downhill fast
Ring was a great company but it is the problems are increasing fast. Their home systems go off line very frequently. It takes longer to access. It seems that they do not have adequate servers or speed to handle customers. My relatives in other states also feel the same. It is not local conditions like power, wifi etc. They are Ring's problems that are getting worse every day.

I frequently have issues connecting to live video. I called customer service and they asked my name, email, and phone number. Then the said they were sending me a customer support code and then they hung up. If the call disconnected and I have you all my info and you pulled up my account, why would you not call me back? I waited about 30 minutes to even speak with someone and I was. Not going to do it again. I feel like they are a scam!
Poor performance
When i first purchased the two ring doorbell pros and the floodlight camera they all worked very well and then a few months later and the floodlight camera no-longer receives the wifi signal and when someone is at my front door and they ring the door bell it has a horrible delay when trying to speak with the guest at the door. My suggestion to anyone looking for such a device would be to look elsewhere

I will never purchase a ring camera again. So slow so so so slow! Misses people knocking on door misses people in driveway. Works 85% of time. Im sorry by the time your camera is done"loading" all your belongings are in a burglars truck! Never again!

I refuse to buy additional ring products. My ring doorbell has been defective since April. After several months of trying to get mine to work, I finally called again today to learn my factory warranty expired by less than 3 weeks. I was offered a 35% discount… are you kidding me? My doorbell has documentation of not working since April and you won’t replace my $180 doorbell. Terrible customer service. Ring claims they contacted me in April to discuss my defective doorbell. I would like to see proof because I have no emails or proof of phone calls from your company trying to rectify the situation.

Ring product quality has started to go down. I have a doorbell camera that now goes down every time it rains. There was no disruption to WiFi. Fix your product quality Ring! You suck!
Beware of Ring Doorbell they are crooks
We have had a ring doorbell for 2 years. Last week our router went out and we had to install a new one. Then, we needed to reinstall the ring doorbell, but needed a code to do it. When we called the company they would not give us a code even though they had our information on file. They told us we would have to pay $59 for a code.
I believe that this is cheating the customer. We were not asking for a new doorbell or any parts for it just a computer code.
Now we have a ring doorbell that we cannot reinstall. We are not going to pay ransom to the company. I bought 2 doorbells for my family and will never buy from them again. Beware of crooks.

Customer service through website chat tried to double charge me for a Protect plan despite me explaining multiple times I had already purchased one. They didn't believe me until I proved it with a screenshot. The whole interaction felt like I was talking to someone with zero reading comprehension.
