De verdad una muy mala compra. Al parecer el producto es la afiliación anual, sin ella el producto no se conecta correctamente. Durante el período de prueba funciono bien, pero con duración de batería ridículamente baja. Ante la duda no me afilié al plan mensual. A partir de allí el Ring Bell no se conecta o con mucho retardo. NO LO COMPRES

I have never experienced such horrific customer service. After a 30 minute wait on hold, we got a totally incompetent service rep who spoke horrible English. She couldn’t understand our problem or our questions. She was poorly trained. Ring clearly doesn’t value its customers.

Ring Doorbells are dinosaurs of the past technologies.

When Ring cameras were first introduced, they were a convenient solution to a modern day economical solution. Today they are overpriced and overrated. I still operate multiple types of Ring cameras on my office, home, mom's house, and rental property. I am replacing them as they become an issue with stability or failures. Newer cameras from other vendors cost far less and are equipped with better and newer technology making them small, lightweight, better day and night vision, and great sound recording. Ring Doorbells are dinosaurs of the past technologies. They are very large as compared to most any other camera and really do look big, so they look ugly on your house if you can find a place to mount them. They are also heavy and the power wire for the AC units is thick and way oversize for the actual power requirements, while the battery units require constant power charging or battery swapping with expensive custom batteries. The picture resolution is also sub-par with newer easier to access camera systems. Even though they claim HD Video where other cameras provide better, the Ring cameras and Doorbells will use SD "low quality" if the internet is busy, and it is hard to recognize anything, much less a license number or a vehicle sign. That defeats the purpose of a camera. They have extremely poor night vision as opposed to the newer lens units from other manufacturers as well. The grainy black and white night vision is horrible, while some models offer color night vision, it is high contrast, low resolution that is basically useless for identification of anything or anyone. The doorbell cameras do not offer enough vertical viewing to see if parcels are at your door like other vendor's cameras. This is because the view provides a wide width only, which is unusable unless your doorbell is out in the open with a wide field of unobstructed view, but without a usable vertical field of vision. Ring doorbells do not record locally... period. This means they will not work when the internet is out or a thief has a signal jammer. Newer cameras have SD Memory capability built-in with days or months of recording with or without the internet. As another result of no local recording memory, Ring cameras must constantly use your internet to transmit a lot of video data to their servers, the only way they have to capture any events. That requires a lot of your internet bandwidth. If you have limits on data, or other devices competing for your internet speed, this is an issue. Like I said, Ring cameras were the best thing in town, the leader for the time. Sadly they did not keep up with the current technology. Before I end this review, there are a couple of other mentionable items. Recently they enacted software that allows others, like your neighbors with Ring cameras, to access and use your internet with their Ring devices automatically in the default setting mode without your permission required. Second, the app for viewing your ring cameras live, historical events, etc. on a Windows based computer has been terminated. For these two reasons alone, Ring has outlived its usefulness for my purposes.

Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company. They careless about your safety. My base station has been broken for 8 days now and replacement part hasn't even been shipped.

9 months and my Ring pathlights went…

9 months and my Ring pathlights went dead. No problem right... WRONG, I could not find the replacement batteries anywhere except batteries plus and they were $24 each. I called Ring after I noticed their website doesn't offer replacement batteries for the pathlights. They confirmed they don't have replacement batteries. WTH! How can you sell a product and not sell replacement batteries. That is like buying a Dewalt cordless drill and 8 hours later, the battery goes dead and you have to purchase another drill because they don't sell replacement batteries. Ring needs to FIRE whoever let this happen. Also, Ring cameras don't constantly record like Home8. You will miss the burglars as the Amazon delivery drivers know they can run fast and the Ring motion cameras are not fast enough to pick them up. Don't waste your money on Ring. False sense of security.

So I bought some ring cameras because…

So I bought some ring cameras because of vehicle burglaries in our neighborhood. 2 nights ago they broke into my truck literally about 6 feet in front of the camera. They were there for about 2 minutes based on my neighbors camera. My ring camera caught nothing right when I needed it the most it failed me. I have lost all trust now in these cameras.

Stay away from RING!

Bought this in December 2020 at the request of my wife (should have read some reviews first). Yeah, Ring is useless unless you pay the monthly fee. What is worse now, is that the Windows desktop app will no longer work after October 15, 2021. That’s huge for me as I can NEVER get the mobile app to work. It will notify me that “there is motion in the front yard”, but refuses to load the video. And no, it isn’t my phone as I have had the Ring app on an Apple iPhone 6S, iPhone 7 and now on a shiny new iPhone SE. The app won’t load video on any of these phones, regardless of what WiFi I am on or LTE. Ring is basically just a SCAM, a useless steaming pile of crap in a fancy, over-engineered box. To add insult to injury, they now won’t let you log in without two factor authentication, which goes to my wife’s phone number as it has been set up in her name. I HATE everything about Ring!

J'ai souscrit un abonnement basic pour deux caméras. L'abonnement est de 60 $ en tout. Or, jusqu'à présent Ring à prélevé 240 $. De plus, d'après mon banquier, ils prévoient d'autres prélèvements ! J'ai demandé le remboursement de mon argent par SMS, pas de réponse ! Je veux résilier totalement les comptes ou je suis inscrit. Or en suivant leur procédure je n'y parviens pas. J'ai essayé de joindre un conseiller, impossible, il me fournissent un numéro de téléphone à 11 chiffres sans compter l'indicatif.

Absolutely terrible customer service

Absolutely terrible customer service, a faulty camera that they promised to replace in three weeks, twelve weeks later we are still waiting. Promised refund of subscription, five weeks later we are still waiting. Scandalous company avoid, avoid, avoid!

Horrible

Horrible. I installed a Ring Pro (properly) and it will not finish the set up. I called customer support twice, waiting over an hour each time to get through, and both times, the representative did not speak good English. The second time the woman dropped the call multiple times, calling me back, and kept breaking up. The third time she never called me back. I would give this company a negative review if possible.

Na de Ring een jaar gebruikt te hebben, kregen wij de melding dat onze creditkaart verlopen zou zijn en het abonnement beëindigd zou worden. Wat was niet onze bedoeling en hebben dat gecontroleerd, kaart was niet verlopen, geld is inmiddels wel afgeschreven naar Ring maar krijgen nog steeds de melding dat wij geen abonnement meer hebben. Contact zoeken met Ring blijkt onmogelijk. Geld weg en geen geleverde diensten, balen!!!!!! Henk Meijer

I had Ring cameras in DE and FL

I had Ring cameras in DE and FL. I had a contractor cutting my grass in FL and he should have triggered 4 cameras. I had no indication. I canceled everything when customer service couldn’t explain what went wrong. Nothing worse than a false sense of security

Nightmare if you ever get locked out of your account

Lost access to my account, took two hours on the phone just to get a verification code, which involved logging into Amazon and literally jumping up and down in front of the camera. Who designs crap systems like this? Worst part of this system is live view only stays on for a few minutes at a time, so you can't monitor the video feed 24/7, like a normal security cam system.

Needs Better Service All Around!

I was planning on purchasing multiple Ring Doorbells, along with the Protection Plans, to be at the Front Door of the Community where I work. We have about 50 villas. We started with 5. Getting the protection plan was EASY.... what was HARD was getting a receipt! You have to call, which hold times the past few days have been 35-45 mins long. I chose to call and not chat, because the person I chatted with 2 days in a row seemed like he couldn't care much less about my problems. He really was no help at all. So, I waited on the phone. Basically, you have to CALL (and beg) for a receipt! I need a receipt, mainly because these are for a business! But, like I told the lady on the phone, it's 2021--- receipts should be standard and should come automatically. Also, the receipts don't reflect the tax paid. Again, only a few dollars difference, but for Accounting purposes at work, we expect a receipt with the ACCURATE amount. Lastly, your credit card will be charged AUTOMATICALLY every year for the Plan. They offer no other way to do it, unless you go in and manually remove the card. I just think, in today's day and age, and especially since this is a security product, please offer better services!!! ALL OF THIS TO SAY: we have opted OUT of purchasing the remaining 45 Protection Plans... it is simply NOT worth it. I would have to call 45 different times for receipts that don't reflect exact amounts paid. HIGHLY disappointed.

Hung up on me.

After one hour and two minutes the fourth customer service representative I spoke to hung up on me. The reason? He demanded my name and I asked why he didn't know my name since he was the fourth person I'd spoken to. They are Jerks, don't use them.

Extreme effort to transfer ownership or set up for someone else

Unable to transfer ownership of a Ring security system without extreme effort. Found out the hard way that Ring is only interested in the initial sale. You cannot set Ring security products up for someone else - you must have THEIR phone and their account in place. If you do this without their phone, you will then have to FULLY UNINSTALL and reinstall the system. There is no way to transfer ownership (ie. the Ring system monitoring/management). You cannot also have two owners. So, if you are married, only one spouse can be the owner, the other can only be a "shared user". I have confirmed this with Ring support by telephone after a delightful 1 hour wait on hold. So what you have to do is delete the base unit from your ring account. All of the connected installed sensors are then also removed. Then, the other person has to manually add the ring base unit and EVERY sensor back in to their own account. Even if you and the other person want to be fully authorized users on each other's accounts, you still have to do this.

Nightmare in a box. Buyer Beware.

Negative experience from order completion to 7 days later when I requested a refund. I only provide 1-star rating because 0-stars is not an option. BUYER BEWARE when dealing with this company. Received dead brick base unit. Trying to get them to answer the customer support line took me 1 hour 38 minutes.

RING Products Are NO GOOD!

My Ring Rich Notification stopped working almost two weeks ago & I've made more than one call to them & it's still not working. I advise anyone to never buy anything Ring they are NO GOOD nor their customer service. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE it's been to long & looks like they don't care!

I'll never purchase from ring again. They received the return 5 days ago. They have yet to put the money back in my Pay Pal account. And sad to say I had to make another return. Solar panel ring 2 isn't the one needed for gen 2 ring doorbell. They make it hard to find what goes with your doorbell

This is the WORST COMPANY AND PRODUCT EVER!! On my second doorbell stopped working received a replacement. Had both installed by licensed electrician $150.00 each time. The replacement doesn't work and customer service is a JOKE!!!!! Wanted me to email pics before they could escalate to tech support. not resolved. Buy ADT or ANY OTHER VIDEO DOORBELL. BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT

Good devices, HORRIBLE service

If your devices are working and you never need customer service it’s a good system…but absolutely a total failure at customer service. Call in a failed device, after an hour of phone call finally agree it’s failed and to send a replacement…for some reason buying one ships same day, but a replacement is a week. Then 2 weeks later it still isn’t here and calls to customer service offer that there will be an email in 24-48 hours from shipping. If you ask for a supervisor, they just say they will tell you the same thing and disconnect. Repeated calls to customer service with no additional help. If you haven’t installed your ring yet, save yourself and buy from somebody else
