Terrible Customer Service
I ordered and received an alarm system (multiple items) from Ring. Upon setting same up, 2 cameras would NOT connect to my wi-fi. After more than an hour with Customer Service, the rep said he'd call be back the next afternoon with answers. I think that they were having "behind the scenes" technical issues in that the next morning I was able to conned them both with no problem. One of the smoke / co listeners that I ordered would not connect and once again another hour + on the phone with Customer Service. This time, they transferred me to "ADVANCED TECH SUPPORT" team to resolve the issue. He could NOT resolve the issue and stated that he'd never seen this issue before and promised to ship me a replacement within 2 days along with a return label for the defective part. I received the return label, but when I did NOT receive the replacement device I called Customer Service AGAIN. The Customer Support rep told me that it would be 4-6 weeks before the item would ship. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she informed me that there were no supervisors (not that there was not one available, there were no supervisors). I asked her if she was the HMFIC (Head MF In Charge) worldwide for Ring and she admitted that she was not. I once again asked for a supervisor and the rep promised me that one would call me back today. It's 2245 hrs. and no return call, but then again I didn't expect Ring Customer Support to honor their word. Ring obviously does NOT know the first thing about CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Ring 3 een aanrader ? ZEKER NIET !
Ring 3 en chime gekocht augustus 2020 en intussen spijt van mijn aanschaf. Geweldige reclame op tv met een super scherp beeld en snelle reactie van het geluid voor het maken van contact gaf bij mij de doorslag voor aanschaf. In werkelijkheid valt het tegen. Duurt bijna een minuut nadat ik een melding op mijn Ipad krijg dat iemand voor de deur staat voor beeld en geluidverbinding zijn opgebouwd .Besteller is dan meestal intussen al weer weg . Installatie ging moeizaam maar na wat zoeken op You Tube bruikbaar materiaal gevonden . Was wel in het engels maar gelukkig voor mij no problem. Na een half jaar doet zich nu het probleem voor dat de Ring zichzelf uit het lokale netwerk gooit ondanks afstand tot router in meterkast ong. 1 meter. Oplossing: accu Ring losnemen, 10 tellen wachten , accu weer vastduwen, blauwe led’s gaan draaien en ziedaar.. na 2 minuten werkt alles weer. Poosje later.. zelfde euvel ! Acculading komt niet onder de 80% Deze handicap is natuurlijk niet echt handig als je een poosje op vakantie bent want juist daarvoor werd een Ring aangeschaft.. Conclusie : niet goedkoop in aanschaf. Flitsende veel te mooie reclame op tv en radio. Kwaliteit valt tegen. Had er meer van verwacht voor deze prijs . Gekocht als aanbieding bij cool blue Niet kunnen terugkijken bij gemist contact bij het niet nemen van een abonnement is groot nadeel. Hebben concurenten beter geregeld met tenminste een aantal minuten tot bij de Google Nest Hello zelfs tot 3 uur terugkijktijd bij abonnement free gebruik , alternatief hier is een Ring abonnement voor over de 100 euro per jaar nemen ( standaard 3 euro/ maand , meer mogelijkheden bij Plus abonnement is 10 euro per maand ) Opgenomen beelden worden en blijven eigendom van Amazon. Persoon komt niet volledig in beeld ( geringe verticale kijkhoek ) wat de tv reclame, bedrieglijk, WEL suggereert … Deze RING 3 een aanrader ? ZEKER NIET !! Groeten uit Drenthe. UPDATE per 10-08-2021 : sinds begin augustus krijg ik steeds bij het inschakelen van de Ring app een vervelende pop-up met mededeling dat Ring geen verificatiecode per mail meer gaat versturen maar in het vervolg dit alleen met een sms wil gaan doen.. ( tweetrapsverificatie ) Behalve dat dit ‘ popuppen ‘ extra vertraging bij het inschakelen geeft doet zich nu een onverwacht probleem voor.. Ik heb een vast nummer en geen mobieltje en alleen maar een Ipad ! Dus deze geweldige ‘ vernieuwing ‘ gaat voor mij helaas niet werken..🤭

I HOPE SOMEONE AT RING READS THIS
First I want to say that I actually like the cams and ease of use, when it all works properly, but recently I've had a lot of problems with their app and now their website. I usually don't have issues with getting in touch with customer service when there's an issue. I've NEVER had to wait on hold for more than a few minutes. But tonight, waiting on hold frustrated me to the point where I'm considering dropping their service completely. The app isn't working, neither is the website. I'm currently unable to check on my wife, who has seizures in her sleep. If that's not stressful enough ring decided elevator music isn't annoying enough, so they placed ads in there too. As if they think somebody waiting for assistance is seriously going to consider making another purchase. After 20 minutes on hold, not including the first one which I gave up after 15 minutes, I was informed that they are doing a "System update" which actually means there's a system failure and they're scrambling to resolve the issue. I probably wouldn't be so frustrated with their service if i wasn't using it to make sure the person I care the most about wasn't in bed, seizing out, possibly choking on her own tongue. A little heads up would have been nice, but no I had to deal with a bunch of annoyances just to be told that there's basically nothing they can do to fix the issue. Hopefully the people at ring see this review and realize that not everyone is using their service to prevent theft, some of us use it to possibly save lives.

Ring refuses to reset sold device
Bought a home with a Ring Video doorbell installed. The elderly couple who sold the house are in the wind and are not a happy group or doing well so no way to contact them. The doorbell is still registered to the old owner and Ring won’t release it. They kept me on phone for 45 mins once i got a rep and said i could not be called back, i had to wait on hold for them to get the “action group” to review the case. Final answer…NO they won’t reset the device for 60 days from the last “action” which was before the house sold. Offered a copy of the HUD, nope. I have the box, the serial numbers, etc. NOPE. Offered me a 30% discount to buy yet another of these little items. What happened to fair use as a legal principle? I purchased the device with the house and should be able to use it. Supervisor just kept repeating the same mantra. Its a “security issue”. The device is off-line, I have the SN and MAC ID to install it…how can this be a security issue? And how does waiting 60 days make it safer? Crap policy from company that clearly doesn’t value their customers. Can’t call somebody back???

Bad customer support
We had Ring installed for 4 years and loved the app. My husband recently passed and I couldn’t log into the app as he was primary account holder. So I called support and in order for them to let me use the app, I would of had to present a death certificate in order to do that. That is absolutely ridiculous. I canceled it immediately and asked if I could escalate this and was told no that is the policy. This is not a user friendly corporation if that is how things are handled.

Das Produkt Ring an sich ist gut. Aber wenn man Service braucht wird es grausig. Nur Telefonhotline in Form einer Endlosschleife ... da meldet sich niemand. Eine Emailadresse gibt es gar nicht. Nur Chat, wo sich dann Jemand meldet, der nur gebrochen deutsch schreibt. Für eine Retoure musste ich dann den karton aufreissen, da der gute Mensch auf der anderen Seite die MAC ID benötigt. Die Seriennummer auf dem Karton oder die Angaben auf den Papieren hat nicht gereicht. Wie sieht es denn dann erst im Garantiefalle aus? Wer garantiert, dass die app künftig immer funktionieren wird? ... nac h der Garantie .. nach 2 Jahren. Leute! ... das geht doch gar nicht. Never never never ..... Daumen absolut runter

Doorbell 2 liveview never works
Doorbell 2 liveview never works. Countless trouble shooting with all levels of customer service. Each step more absurd. Hours on the phone and the minute you say after hours no more troubleshooting they say they tough. I let this go on too long so out of warranty. Also had issues with the chime. Terrible products waste of time customer service

I gave one star only because I could not give zero. The device is good when it works. When it stops working their customer service is absolutely awful. I read online that there are many wired ring doorbells that just quit taking power shortly after the warranty expires. It seems that for some, they go ahead and replace the units. For others like me they may offer a discount to replace, or they may not. I wonder what their criteria is to offer a replacement. Also, the timing of these outages are more than curious, they looked planned. What an awful way to treat customers. If the U.S. had a very strong consumer protection group, no company would be able to get away with this. Customer service suggested that I uninstall and reinstall the device. I asked how many times they expected customers to install and reinstall these doorbells and got no answer.

Purchased a solar stick up cam
Purchased a solar stick up cam. It doesn't pick up motion and misses most things so I tried to return it on their website. I am within 15 days of receiving it. It said they couldn't process it online so I had to call. I have been on the phone for over an hour and they still can't figure out I can return it. Order through amazon if you want a ring product, don't do it through their website.

Ich habe seit drei Jahren eine Ring doorbell Elite. Das Teil hat damals 499,00 € gekostet. Nach einem halben Jahr habe ich das Gerät getauscht, da Wassereinbruch in der Kamera. Jetzt ist das zweite Gerät austauschwürdig, da der Klingelknopf nach zwei Jahren marode ist und sich aufzulösen beginnt. help at ring.com existiert offensichtlich nicht mehr, so dass man auf telefonischen Support angewiesen ist. Habe mir gerade mit einer Dame in Halifax einen abgew.... , nicht zu verstehen, hundsmiserables deutsch und schreckliche Verbindung. Sie konnte mir nur einen Rabattgutschein anbieten, da das Gerät aus der Gewährleistung raus ist. Ich überlege mir jetzt, ob es eine Alternative gibt, die einen deutschen Service bieten. Was Ring hier in Deutschland bietet, ist wirklich schrecklich. Nie wieder!!!

RING APP Flaws and Security Vulnerabilities
RING APP and More Many, too many Security Flaws and 'Glitches' with the Ring app which were brought repeatedly over months to Ring Technicians and Ring CEO Jamie Siminoff. Jamie's Team were either unable or unwilling to Fix many of the numerous Flaws and Security Vulnerabilities with the Ring app. Which were carefully and clearly identified and with many screenshots supplied and verbal explanations too. I was very patient and cordial. However, when does one lose patience with Ring Support that basically doesn't Support the Ring products and the Ring Customer? Read through the Ring Community forums and you may experience similar long standing issues with the Ring app and other Ring products that have not been fully addressed by Ring 'Support'(?), and without fixing those numerous issues identified by Ring Customers. You be the Judge, it's Your money. Any reasonable person and Ring Customer might wonder if Ring Support efforts ended the day the Customer made their purchase of a Ring product? What a pity. * Faults and Security Vulnerabilities of Ring app: * ° {Sound familiar Ring Customers?} • Sadly when a User clicks to the Ring App's notification's video- it often isn't there. Only Live View. Then the Ring app doesn't provide the User with the video from the Live Notification until much later. So what triggered the Notification is not readily available for viewing in real time. A major security flaw. • Additionally when the Ring doorbell is pushed, the Ring app Video and audio are delayed by several minutes. This issue has been repeatedly identified on the Ring Community forum, apparently without Ring Support addressing and correcting these issues and flaws with the Ring app. -This security flaw with the Ring app is Preventing direct observations and communications with the Guest(?) at your door. •Similar security flaws with the Ring app when a User is unable to immediately see and review what triggered the Notification or apparently interact with those at your door. A safety feature •Additionally as previously noted before that when one clicks to go to a Live Notification video, the App often displays the Rotated device view on my Android phone, and with no X to go back to the Ring App. - A User Must turn off the device screen and restart to return to regular heads up view on the mobile device. Very convenient for the Ring Users don't you think? • Further, often when in the Control Center viewing a section and attempting to go back to the Control Center, the app defaults instead to the Dashboard view. • Additionally, no change with the App claiming 'Neighborhood' as Off in the Control Center in the app and Online, when it is actually still On and registering, in my case the '16XX Ixxxxd Dr., Reno' address in Settings/ Invite Friends/Reno. - When one clicks on that address the pop-up states that it is Authorized and Linked to one or more Ring accounts- NOT! • this providing an Unauthorized 'Neighborhood User' to view your Private information and more. • Despite the Ring app Control Center indicating "You have No linked accounts." Plus I have personally not Linked absolutely Anybody to my Ring account. Ring Support has to date Refused to remove this unauthorized access to my Ring account from my Ring account. Why? If there is anyone in this Ring Community that can address and Solve the numerous issues identified, their efforts would be appreciated by myself and many Ring product Customers, thank you.

De videoweergave heeft enkele maanden gewerkt, maar nu kan ik niet meer inloggen. Er zou een verificatiecode verstuurd moeten worden, maar die komt nooit binnen. Toen de weergave nog wel werkte, duurde het wel minstens 30 seconden voordat je het te zien kreeg, tja dan ligt je pakketje inmiddels bij de buren. Het is wel een goed hoorbare deurbel, maar dat doen aanmerkelijk goedkopere deurbellen zonder video ook. Kortom, slecht product.

Wireless camera battery after buying three batteries and listening too the representative tell me that the reason is that it doesn’t last long is cuz the batteries are too cold so now is very hot outside with temperature reaching 96 degrees I sill find myself changing the battery every two weeks they took me for my money

Careful what you buy!
Bought 2 outdoor and 2 indoor cameras. Found out after installing the outdoor cameras that you cannot rotate the view. Everything is upside down. Rings solution is to tell me to by brackets at a cost of $20/pc to fix the problem. Should have bought the Simply Safe

Um die Kamera Nutzen zu können wie man es eig vor hat sind Monatlich 3 Euro fällig, da die Doorbell 2 und 3 weder RTSP noch Onvif zur Verfügung stellt um Beispiel selber auf einem IP Kamera Server aufzunehmen. Mehrere versuche eines Portscans ergab dass keinerlei Ports offen sind, man zählt für ein Produkt welche extrem eingeschränkt ist! Hab mich nach Alternativen umgeschaut und werde nen paar davon testen. Nie wieder Ring!

Support is WORTHLESS
Support is WORTHLESS! On the phone with them 46 minutes now. Have repeated the same steps countless times and getting nowhere. I keep asking to be transferred to a supervisor and getting the run around. This was written while I was on hold with them. What a frustrating pain in the A##. Update: Before we were done, we had been on the phone with Ring’s support, both in the Philippines and the U.S. for 3 hours, WITHOUT succeeding in getting it reconnected. They said they would send us a new Ring doorbell - but weeks later, it hasn’t come. 😖

I have Ring Flood Light and Doorbell
I have Ring Flood Light and Doorbell. My Internet service tests to be average if 117.4mB download and 13.7 mB upload. Despite this, the client server design employed by Ring cause delays. Frequently I get an alert for an event, I open the app and all I get is a spinning circle. Alternatively, I get an alert but the when the app pens the video live view, the person is no longer in the view.

Constantly failing to connect
Constantly failing to connect; slow to do so when it does. Trying to cancel the subscription service is a joke. Bought cheap Chinese icSee cameras for a fraction of the price, that respond better and can track motion. Ring is rubbish!

Never got the product to work
Never got the product to work. Customer service would not help because my son used his account to purchase even though I paid via credit card. I sent a letter certified mail outlining my experience. They NEVER responded. I disputed the charge on my credit card because the product never worked and the company never provided any meaningful service. My bank agreed and reversed the charges. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT; IT AND THE COMPANY ARE GARBAGE!

Helpless Tech Support
Tech Support took more than 2 hours and still never resolved my issue. I simply needed to do a password reset that wasn't being sent to my email, and they kept putting me on hold telling me they were waiting for a response from the account access team. RING has the most incapable tech support people ever. I finally just had to hang up with them and go to bed. They said they would call me back tomorrow once they were able to get someone from the "Access Team" to assist. Are you kidding me?!?!
