I purchased an open box Ring Stick Up…
I purchased an open box Ring Stick Up Camera from the AAFES Base Exchange. The camera had been returned from the previous owner, so I was able to get a discount. I couldn't connect the camera to my existing network because the previous owner "had already begun the registration process" on the camera before he returned it. If this happens, the direction Ring gives is to contact their customer service and make sure you have the purchase receipt ready. So, with the receipt at hand, I contacted customer service, sent them pictures of everything, verified my identity, spent 30 minutes on the phone, only to learn that they wouldn't do anything at all. Their final recommendation to me was to return the camera to the store and get another one. It is an unbelievable business model to expect an international organization like AAFES Base Exchange to have to track down customers who returned a product, in order to electronically wipe the password so they can sell it to the next customer. What is Ring Customer Service for if not to do assist in just such a situation? This cannot be an anomaly that customers return the product after beginning the registration process. Why ask for all this proof if you wouldn't do anything to assist? My issue isn't the security, it's that they never had any intention to release the camera to the new owner, even after I provided them every piece of proof they asked for. So ridiculous.
Ring has no idea how to keep a customer!
Just like the rest of you, I'm very disappointed in Rings’s customer service. My father passed away and I had to show several documents stating that I am now the owner of the ring product. I had to contact my lawyers in order to get this paperwork going. I had to get things notarized to get this going. I was on hold for more than 30 minutes every time I called. I complied with everything and now they're telling me that I still need to show more paperwork. I mean, I would give these guys a five-star review if it's based on how to lose a customer. If it's all about making customers wait and annoyed then they're on top of their game and the best in the field. But it's not. Every time I end my call with them I find myself looking for another product. Don't waste your time, your money, or your effort. These guys are horrible.
I bought a house with a Ring doorbell
I bought a house with a Ring doorbell. The prior homeowner has tried many times to unlink the device from their account, and I have tried many times to link it to my account. Ring finds this to be impossible.
First, I had to buy a toolkit to be able to unmount the doorbell, to find the MAC address. This, I was told, would enable me to link the device to my account. After waiting a week for the toolkit to arrive, I disassembled the doorbell to get that magic number.
Did that work? No! After over 5 hours on the phone and in chats, WAITING for their tech team to talk to the CS agent, I was told yesterday that they can't help me and I have to buy a new device. This was their plan all along. They offered me 35% off a new device that I would have to pay for because they are too incompetent to transfer a device from one owner to another. That is and inadequate "solution" to my problem. They should give it to me because the device I have is functional, but they can't make it work. It's their fault, not mine. Were I to buy something, for any price, it would not be Ring.
Another India Customer Service :(
Another company that went to India for Customer Service. We all have this experience already whether it's banking or device help, they don't understand the problem and we don't understand their English. I know they can handle the most basic issues but most times even the most basic issues can't be handled. It's a long waste of time whenever you get India CS to help on anything.
Ring customer service sucks
Ring customer service sucks
Ring offered me a free solar ring yard sign, when I went to redeem after sitting on hold for 2 hrs because the code did not work, they said I didn't get it in 30 days so they took the offer away. No customer appreciation.
The customer service sucks too.
Ring Customer service is substandard
I bought from Bunnings a ring product and then it would not set up as it said that the product was already registered. I wasted an hour of my life today talking with " customer service " at Ring and at the end of that time she ( Nimmit ) said she could not fix it. I asked her to send to me an email to validate that the product was faulty and she said she would send the email and she did not.
The RIng company has a great website but the customer service is flawed. I will not go near them again.
I rang Ring back to resolve the situation and asked for an email to send to a senior manager and she would not provide it .
DONT WASTE YOUR $$..
DONT WASTE YOUR $$... Ring is a PILE OF $HIT! I have THREE complete alarm and camera systems and the cameras are JUNK! Customer service dont speaka engrish and dont care about YOU the customer! Maybe they should try USA support and better electronics!

Just spent 40 minutes in a chat with someone who knows absolutely nothing and was of zero help. Received my shipment but it was missing one of the products. Simple question - when will i receive the missing item? No clue how to answer it. Love it when a technology company claims to not be able to answer questions and need to refer you to someone else. They can build a camera that connects to my phone, but they can't provide customer service with answers to basic questions.
Customer service is soooo slow and…
Customer service is soooo slow and unhelpful. I have been on the phone twice now for over 50 minutes trying to get a replacement part for an incomplete package I received. So frustrating.
When deleting old video history
When deleting old video history, "something went wrong" message now pops up everytime. However, history does clear ok. Must be another Ring software glitch. The Ring "help" feature indicates this is yet another widespread, annoying issue that should have been resolved in testing before implementing this software. I am disgusted w/ this company.

Ring is absolutely terrible I would not suggest it to nobody just found out that there blocking me from a post to aware my neighbors of a possible prowler in the neighborhood
Customer service is horrible
As everyone else says, customer service is HORRIBLE. Do not buy this product.

I purchased a New ring floodlight camera from Amazon and Ring,Amazon and On Tech can not not install it. Everyone that I spoke with from Amazon, to On Tech and ring and Neither has anyone qualified to install the flood light camera which is mind boggling to me why would you make and sell a product that you cannot have installed????? Don't waste your money or your time with ring they do not care about their customers They only care about the customers money.

Doorbell button failed (just out of warranty). Worthless. Total waste of money!
Good platform and cameras, Customer service a failure
I have been using the Ring Doorbell 3 Plus and Chime Pro for a while now. Recently, I added indoor stick-up cameras and spotlight cameras with solar chargers. While I do not have much need to monitor things, I still feel the need for security. Ring's platform and Android app have worked well. I feel there is still some improvement needed, it does the job.
What I truly rate a business by after their products do what they advertise, is customer service. Ring is completely failing. My Chime was supposed to work with 5G WiFi, however, at first, I could not get it to work. Customer service could not find the problem and told me to just use 2.4G. One of the selling points was the use of 5G WiFi and that is what I wanted. For customer service to say, yeah sorry just use the other network...I was very unhappy. Recently, I found that one of my stickup cameras crashes when using the siren. Again, the siren is not an everyday utility I use. However, I do expect it to work when needed and tested. When I reported the issue, it was sent to a special team to investigate. I was told 24-48hrs. After which time I called and was told they were still investigating. After another four days, I called again. At this point, I was told the elevated team has it and there is nothing they or I can do. No refund or replacement. I am now at three and half weeks and I still do not have a resolution. I am taking the next route of filing a BBB complaint and ensuring I do these reviews so everyone is aware of the service they will get when they purchase from Ring.
Again, while the platform and the cameras work well, with some minor issues, it is the customer service that is ruining this company. I will likely see how this problem is resolved and make my decision on whether or not to move to another company.
Look for my cameras on yard sales sites soon :)
Ring really sucks have had so many problems
Ring sucks ass I have so many problems since I've had it I'll never buy one or wreck opinion one to anyone they suck ass!!!!!!9
Borderline scam site
Borderline scam site. Ordered online but never got my product. Customer service has mastered the art of working in a loop, they keep sending you to someone else which is not expected of an Amazon company.
Stay away and don't be conned by this company and website
Absolute rubbish
Absolute rubbish! I also installed wifi boosters thinking it would help. Its nothing to do with the wifi, its the rubbish Ring cameras. A complete waste of time and money! I have had the ring and stick up cam for over a year and hardly ever works properly. Any glitch of the internet and its offline. I have a Nest thermostat that always automatically hooks back on to the internet. Not Ring, never does. Ever. Useless!! I have been away a few times and after 2 days or so the Ring conks out, so unreliable and useless and no point to having it. The app has a delay so notifications when person has already gone. I am so sorry I bought this rubbish.
The ads look all glossy and in real life it just does not work properly.
Am now going to investigate other options as I really can't be bothered with anymore with all the irritation Ring brings.
Rubbish! Dont be fooled by the ads and dont waste your money on Ring!!!
Garbage device
Garbage device, worst tech purchase ever.
Will not connect to existing doorbell ( I’ve tried everything, every YouTube video, multiple suggestions)
Also will not connect to the chime I bought. Also tried same processes. I’m going to buy something else. Ring is pathetic.
The cameras are just brutal
The cameras are just brutal. Went with this company cause they had a lower cost option. Just seems me now that I overpaid for garbage cameras. Just save your money. Nightvision is brutal and connection issues all the time.
I feel like I've been cheated
I feel like I've been cheated. I bought doorbell for about $85.00 and it appeared to be promising. Just needed tweaking. After weeks of tweaking it was still unreliable.
It would take pictures of cars going by but it wouldn't reliably take pictures of me or the mailman coming up front steps.
Called support and spent hours resetting camera.
IT STILL ISN'T RELIABLE!!
Walked up front steps 8 times this afternoon. It took my picture once.
Got mail. No pictures of mailman.
Lots of pictures of cars going by!!
And BTW, I paid another $150.00 for whatever "upgrade" I was told would work, and still all I get is cars on street, me one time out of 8, and no mailman. But I do get pictures of the neighborhood cat on my front porch at 4 AM.
RING DOORBELL= Beta stage
I have had problems with my doorbell for almost one year. customer service keeps wanting to test it saying they’ll call back and they never do. This is going on so long and so many times that now my one-year guarantee is now exhausted and they are wanting to give me a coupon to buy another one. my product will not stay on when activated. It does not pick up the motion of a person or even a car multiple times a day. To me a ring doorbell is still in the BETA stage but yet they still want you to buy it even if it has multiple issues. They need to perfect it before they put it out there to the consumers or back it by replacing it when it doesn’t work properly. They do not.
