TERRIBLE
TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE customer service. I ordered a solar yard sign. Did not work. Called customer service. They sent an incorrect replacement. I called 5 different times, (almost 5 hours total) to rectify and you all know what it is like to call a call center. Ring's is the worst ever! I finally thought I had it made after sending two pictures, one of the non-functioning unit and one of the wrong replacement. Apparently they do not know what they sell! The agent put me on hold to find out why, for 15 more minutes. Disconnected!! What upsets me most is that he has my phone number and e-mail and did not call or e-mail me back. I will never buy another Ring Product. Unfortunately, I have a house full of them! Wish I could leave no stars!!

Garbage
Garbage. One out of 3 cameras accurately captures motion. Doorbell and outdoor stick up cam never work. Once they finally actually do something they stop motion detection when you need it most. See the judge Judy episode. Poor guy lost his case because you can't capture more than 120 seconds. Wish I had seen that before I wasted my money. So sick of it calling ADT! Not worth the money or the hassle.

Think of the worst service you can…
Think of the worst service you can imagine and then multiply it 100, and even that doesn't show how truly bad they are. I repeatedly contacted support during February, March, April, May and June 2020 with zero acknowledgement or reply. They did process my orders in Feb and March 2020 instantly but completely ignored my communications since then and failed to acknowledge or help with the issues taht arose with their products. On 7th July 2020 I instructed them to close my account. On 27th February 2021 they charged my account €100 for yearly subscription. There is nowhere on their website to close your account. Stay away from them.

I've had one for little over a year and…
I've had one for little over a year and the thing is not reliable. It doesn't catch people dumping trash in front of our house but catches people walking by. its an absolute joke. the battery dies pretty fast too.

Verkeerde deurbel besteld
Verkeerde deurbel van Ring besteld, geen probleem kon hem omruilen voor de juiste deurbel. Na 2 dagen ontvangen en de verkeerde deurbel retour gestuurd. Ontvangst bevestiging ontvangen vanuit Duitsland. Echter tot op heden geen geld ontvangen voor het verschil tussen deze deurbellen. Ook diversen mails gestuurd maar geen reactie. Gebeld met klantenservice, was in behandeling of ik nog 15 dagen wilde wachten. Na 16 dagen dagen nog niks gehoord, dus weer een mail gestuurd. Retourzending is op 19 maart 2021 door hun ontvangen. Ik verwacht niks!!!!! Maar misschien heb ik geluk. Update geld terug ontvangen.

I have two Ring doorbell cameras and a door chime. One is 720p and the other is 1080p. Don't buy the 720p. It's garbage. Both cameras are internet based and lag meaning that they never catch the person walking up to the door (only walking away). I have excellent internet (1.2 Gbps speed), so it's not that. I've reset and reconnected them many times with no luck. I'm not impressed, and have switched to a more traditional camera system to monitor my property. The only thing positive that I can say is that they work great as a regular doorbell and the separate Ring Chime is pretty cool (you can have it Ring with a gazillion different tones and they even have holiday themes).

Beware if you sign up a second location
The product itself works fine and is easy to install these days now it is done via QR code. However, when we installed devices in a second home, once that trial expired, they also cut off services to the one that was fully subscribed and current. When I contacted Ring via chat to tell them, Starr was not interested in receiving the feedback nor fixing the problem. Instead, their system makes you jump through security hoops and if you aren't in a position to send the code they send to your private email, you can't continue speaking with them. This made absolutely zero sense. Starr should have at the least, taken the complaint very seriously and escalated it. The crux of the complaint was that my services had been cut off after a non-related subscription ended. Simple. Instead, she wanted to argue how important security was, rather than give me peace of mind and escalate the issue. While the product works well otherwise, if this is an example of customer service - the point in the relationship where it matters - I am not sure if my love affair with the brand continues. The issue is still not resolved. Why do they not have a system where a text can be sent? People usually have their phone with them, not always their email account.

Do not purchase anything from this company they are intentionally ripping people off with Data usage. If you don't have an unlimited data plan on you phone you will be charged additional data fee's each month. This just started because ring changed something, I have been using ring for over two years now and the excessive data usage just started so its something they initiated that is causing problems. I have worked with them for days now only to find there is no resolution to my excessive data usage. I went to Samsung first who is the manufacturer of my phone to try to block Ring to use only wi fi and have set all of the phone settings to block ring but that still doesn't work, next I spent an hour on the phone with Verizon who is my carrier and again went through all the procedures to to block ring from using data again with no results and finally another hour with Xfinity. It is a Ring system problem that causes ring to switch from wi fi to cellular data. I will be looking for a replacement to Ring. If you don't have an unlimited data plan do not purchase any ring product you will be paying for it in monthly data usage for as long as you own it.

Complete garbage and customer service
I purchased a ring about a year ago I bought the flood light and stick up cameras I put them all throughout my house. One of the stick up cameras went bad so I called rang and contacted them and they told me after 45 minutes later that they cannot do anything for me. I asked them why and they said that my ring yearly payment was three days late. I remember somebody hacked in my bank account and I had to get a new account number so when they try to process the payment who is denied. I remember three days later that I had to update my credit card information for ring which I did and everything went on with no problem. But they will deny you for a warranty due to of non-payment for three days this is ridiculous I will never ever buy ring again matter of fact I will destroy all my ring cameras and go with another company

Ring door bell
Ive got my ring doorbell connected to my alexa and she will say that someone is at the front door but doesnt automatically bring it up on screen (weird eh?). I have also noticed that you can walk by it and it doesnt always catch the person on screen.(alexa will announce motion at front door) Ive had someone at the front door and it still didnt go off. Live view doesnt always work. I have had nothing on (sky or the internet) apart from alexa and still the live view plays up on if it wants to come up. When it does work it is good but it does have a few faults.

Paying an electrician twice to hang Ring Cameras
2 of my 6 ring flood lights camera stopped working while under warranty. Ring replaced them but I was stuck having to pay an electrician to come out again to remove and reinstall the replacement devices. I was told by Mary that if I wanted Ring's tech team to come out to put up my cameras I'd have to pay for their services....... That is horrible customer service.

Ring SUCKS!!
Ring SUCKS!!! Tripped the alarm by accident, they called me asking for some secret code I've got no clue what they're asking for. They won't help me and transfer the call to ”community support” all the while the cops are coming and I'm panicking. I tried logging into my ring account to find their super secret code and it's nowhere to be found. Completely useless and aggravating service.

This company is ridiculous
This company is ridiculous. The guy I spoke with, Jeffery, didn't even know what he was doing. All my husband and I were wanting to do was make my email the main account instead of his and Jeffery went off doing his own thing, having us change a bunch of passwords and unlinking several things. Now we are having to redo our stuff all over again.

Poorly made product
Poorly made product. I made the mistake of purchasing 2 doorbell cameras and I stick up camera. Once the weather turned a little cooler the 2 doorbell cameras would fog over completely rendering them completely useless. Called Customer service and was told they can’t control the weather. I said you market this product to function OUTSIDE? It does NOT. Was told a manager would call me back, that never happened. Not only is the product useless, so is customer service. DONT BUY THIS BRAND. Waste of money and you will NOT BE SECURE.

A waste of money
A waste of money ! Battery life SUCKS. Also give a million notifications a day but at night when u need it nothing. Car got broken into and couldn’t even look at previous footage because it goes so fast and only allows a couple seconds. Useless at this point.

Constantly goes offline and get this, in order to get it back online, I have to take the doorbell off and look up a code in the back. Ridiculous. Overhyped. Poor quality.

So disappointed
Purchased a Ring Pro doorbell from Lowes. When it wouldn't set up or connect to my phone I spoke with a representative who informed me it was a 'refurbished' unit. Spent an hour on the phone with them as they tried to help me set it up unsuccessfully and then determined the previous owner was still showing as the registered owner, not me. They can't get it to work and I'm now waiting on their 'approval' as to whether to send me a new one. Do not buy from this company!!!!!!!!!!!
