We purchased a home security and three ring cameras. The ring camera batteries will stay charged approximately a month in 10 - 50 temperatures. We have the installed at two properties. The live view on the ring camera works about 10 percent of the time. The app whether on an android or a Window PC is consistently poor. When I select live view it reminds me that I didn't subscribe to their security plan. Which is annoying, and then doesn't present the live video. I wanted to use it as a web cam, it is not working out. I purchased the plan for one site and the live view on both the android and the Windows PC still works inconsistently. The internet connection is not a problem, since I can manage the google pucks. When they work, they give a great view. I would suggest giving another brand a try, I know I am going to explore other brands.

This is perhaps the worst security…
This is perhaps the worst security device you can purchase. When connected to power the battery does not fully charge. When you charge the battery it takes two hours to charge 6%. If the battery power is lost the ring and regular door bell no longer function. You are better off buying a motion activated monkey that bangs symbols together.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I order a Doorbell 3 and USPS failed to deliver it and returned it to sender in error. After speaking with Ring.com customer service for 20 minutes, they assured me if would be sent back out for redelivery. Unfortunately, it was not resent and the order was cancelled. Now the product 20% more expensive, out of stock, and doesn't come with the free yard sign that it originally came with ($15 value). Ring cannot issue a refund for the difference and only offer to use the difference as a credit towards their subscription service that I do not want. Very poor customer service.

Don't Buy Ring Products
I have invested quite a sum of money in 2 cameras and 2 ring doorbells. I also pay for your services to help protect my home. I'm having problems with connection lags and my live views. I also bought a new large router for my wifi thinking my old router wasn't efficient in broadcasting my wifi. My Old router is plenty efficient and handles my wifi connections seamlessly without any problems on all of my other household items, but I replaced it anyway. Something is absolutely defective in the ring app or these cameras and doorbells. Most of the time I get a notification that a person has been detected, I open the Ring app to see a live view and it just spins and says connection failed. This security system is becoming useless. We have called and talked to a representative from Ring and got nothing but a song and dance from the Rep about these issues and they are still unresolved! Hundreds of people complaining and experiencing all of the same problems and concerns. It's about time Ring gets some competent platform Builders and App developers to develop a security system that simply WORKS! If Ring can't do this, then they need to recall these nightmare machines that we have invested in and give us back our money for our cameras and your monthly services. I'm sick that I have wasted so much money on the Ring products for them not to work consistently and accurately! Don't Buy! Buyer Beware!

the worst customer service. Outside of USA call center, you ask for a supervisor 3 times. They won't return calls. Their website does not allow any feedback or help, so plan on waiting 30-40 minutes.................not a joke.

I placed a ~$1,000 order…
I placed approximately a $1,000 order for my family with Ring on 3/31/21 with 1-2 expedited shipping. As of today (4/17/21), the order has not been processed other than Ring immediately charging my card at the time of purchase. I have contacted them on two occasions (phone and text), and their customer service people offer absolutely nothing of use. They actually just sound like a recording, parroting script like "we are escalating this, please be patient". I ordered this system based on Amazon's ownership, but it dealing with Ring is the exact opposite experience of ordering through Prime. If I did not already pay them $100 for the year, I would cancel. They successfully got me to commit to that before I ordered to get the 10% merchandise discount. Devious.

Worst Customer Service Ever!
I called to cancel an order right after I placed the order, the agent told me the order was canceled. However, at the end of the day, I received an email saying the product was shipped! I called right away and was promised they will make sure this order was canceled. Several days later, I received an email saying they could not cancel the order and I can only return it after I receive it. They said once they receive the item, they will process my refund immediately. I then returned the package 2 hours after it was delivered to my home using the shipping label they gave. The returned package arrived in their warehouse on March 25, 2021, however, I have yet to receive my refund and today is April 9, 2021, 12 business days after the package was returned! I have called their customer service department FOUR times so far. Every time they promised me that I will get my refund within 24 - 48 hours, however, I have neither received my refund nor any communication from the company! Today when I called again, the agent was SIMPLY RUDE AND USELESS! He kept on saying a ticket has been created (only a ticket has been created 12 days after the product was returned, nothing else!), and he cannot do anything, I will just have to WAIT! He has no way to get hold of anyone in the billing department who is supposed to process my refund, and he cannot send me an email to confirm the phone conversation, he simply CANNOT DO ANYTHING FOR THE CUSTOMER! The company did not cancel the order properly, so I had to return it, and now 14 days after the item was returned and I have not got my money back, and there is no timeline on when I will get my refund. This is my first experience with this company, and also the last. Oh, the parent company of Ring is Amazon. I just canceled my Amazon Prime membership, and will never renew it again in my life! All thanks to Ring's astoundingly terrible customer service experience!

Der Kundendienst von Ring ist eine Katastrophe. Sprachliche Probleme (wahrscheinlich im Ausland sitzend) . Nach Adressen Angabe , Verifizierung über E-Mail mit Link und Nummer , dann noch IP-Adressenangabe , immer noch keinen Hinweis auf meine eigentliche Frage. „Wo bekomme ich eine neue Klingelknopf-Abdeckung her“? Im Internet , habe ich leider nichts gefunden. Einfach das Gespräch in die Länge ziehen , um Geld zu verdienen. Schade , da ich mit dem Produkt im Großen und Ganzen zufrieden bin.

Just a big mess and I don't advise nobody to buy direct from Ring. Bought the wrong camera, called ring to send me a refund label, after going to 2 different locations finally Ring realized I was sent the wrong label because either UPS locations wld accept the package and send for free. So finally after about 4 to 6 calls I got sent 2 more return labels I picked one and sent the camera back, after about 4 days called to see if they had got the camera back, customer service reps are incompetent, had to though though a supervisor which was just ass clueless as they where, finally after rasing my voice, heart rate elevated I got answers which I was told to wait up to 14 days and in my opinion that sure didn't sound rite so I waited a few more days then called back again to get another rep that had no clue pulling up the wrong label telling me that my package was still in process and from my last call days before I was told (they had received the camera back) so after being giving the wrong info I asked to speak to a supervisor, rep outs me on hold then comes back and says they are in a meeting and can call me back within 2 to 3 hours. I hung up IN HER FACE, immediately called bk spoke to a different rep told him I wanted to only speak to a supervisor waite about 8 to 10 mins spoke to the supervisor and she got to the billing department sent me a emailing saying the refund amount and that it is being process, now let's just hope it be in my account within another 2 to 4 days as I explained. Guess il set my the computer and check it every hour to see 🤣😂, just glad I really wasn't in a bad situation and needed the money back rite away. So I will see in a few more days,but I will say this has been a disaster of a experience and wouldn't want to see anybody go though what I had to go though, not only are we in a pandemic but people need there money and Ring needs to hold some type of meetings often to keep there reps knowledgeable about things they need to do far as helping customers.Now that we got that part out the way let's talk about the 3 devices I have.driveway camera doesn't pick up motion like it should and at night it's black and white but in the day time it's color as it should be all the time, front doorbell peephole camera doesn't always pick up the motion I have set for certain motion zones, the back door peephole camera, always says poor connection to internet and well as the driveway says poor connection to internet and last but least, the app acts up all the time, sometimes have to go in the come back out then go back in just to see recorded footage, definitely better have patience with the app, lucky for me I have a 2 nd security system besides Ring which is for my Townhouse, so if for some reason the Ring camera doesn't pick up footage of a intruder then my regular alarm system though a different company will alert me and call the police as well if my house alarm has been triggered. My advice to anyone, if you really want security and need to be able to see your home and feel comfortable when you are not at home either do what I do and have a 2nd house alarm system that calls the police if anyone was to try and break in & have Ring for cameras and just hope it records in the event you did have someone to try and break in or just have the type of alarm that the company will call you once your alarm has been triggered and then call the police. I will say Ring products are NOT a reliable, do not put your trust in their products. And don't order your products direct from them either Best Buy sells their products as well,make sure if you do have to return a item keep all the proper paper work until u see your refund into your account because their customer service reps are incompetent. Absolutely horrible customer service
Absolutely horrible customer service. All calls go to overseas call center. Received faulty Ring Pro (Certified Refurbished) but had issues. Called Ring support 4 times now, each time told something different. Promises made to swap out unit, but never got anything, when I call now they said they have no reference to 4 service calls I made ... Just lie after lie, and they do NOTHING to support their product, or to help a customer of theirs ... I'm cancelling everything with them.

Een miskoop! En die gasten blijven je achtervolgen met emails voor updates, assortimentsuitbreiding en meer. Bovendien kun je die deurbel bijna elke 3-4 weken opladen. Een product/dienst "far below expectations". Ik ga nu op zoek naar een beter product zonder abonnementskosten en dat soort overbodigheid.

Absolute waste of money
Got the 2nd generation security system direct from ring and it's an absolute waste of money. Unless you expect an intruder to do salsa routine 3 feet from the motion sensors it wouldn't sound the alarm - you could walk right in front of one and nothing! I thought the first one was defective but its the same with the second one as well. The contact sensors are good to let you know if you left a window open but do you really expect an intruder to slide the window open to get in? The only good thing about the devices is the adhesive tape that's on them - which took a chunk of paint off the wall. I wish there was a way to give 0 stars - the entire system is a marketing gimmick and syphon money through subscription.

Unreasonable and unknown subscription required to view any history. Other camera providers such as Arlo and nest will show you the recent history without requiring you to pay for a subscription. Ring requires you to pay for a subscription if you want to see any history other than live at all. I did not know that until after I had four cameras installed around the roofs of my house. Now I am thinking about paying to have new cameras installed just because of the unreasonable requirement to force me to pay for a subscription To view clips of recent activity, a staple of any other camera provider.

Short story: Their customer service really is the reason you should reconsider buying Ring. Long Story: I have been on the phone with customer service 3 times. I returned half my items I purchased from Ring a month ago, and received no refund. So I called customer service and a ticket was made, I was told billing would email me. I called today, the call was dropped by the customer service representative, after they put me on hold to go speak to a supervisor. They proceeded to call me back 3 times, each time leaving a voicemail where they talked as if I had picked up: “hello, sir are you there?” ... they were talking to my voicemail. I was on the phone when I got these THREE calls. I called again later on in the day, the customer service representative told me, after speaking with a supervisor, that my ticket was closed by mistake during my first call (a week ago) and that was why billing never emailed me (or knew to give me refund). They then told me that they talked to their supervisor, and the ticket has been reopened. How am I supposed to believe that this issue will be resolved? I have since emailed the "help" email they list on Ring's About page. A couple minutes after that I was sent an automated email staying: "Please be advised that we no longer offer support via email. Instead, the following Support options are available..." The options they list were calling, posting to their forum (which you should look at because there are more customer support stories there), and to chat through the web interface (aka the same people who you would speak to if you called them). Ring's customer support is very obviously outsourced, which isn't always a bad thing for other companies customer support I've talked to, but whoever they have now is shockingly unprofessional and inept.

I ordered the wrong camera s for my yard so I asked to return one and purchase another . The new flood light was the wrong color I requested black got white . I asked about the status of my refund the rep said she had no info on that . The customer service people are not trained properly they don t seem to know anything . Very disappointed with ring .

ik heb een ring doorbell pro dat ding werkt absoluut niet naar behoren bel gaat pas over als de mensen al niet meer aan de deur staan. kan heel vaak geen verbinding maken en s'avonds kan je totaal de mensen niet zien zijn net spoken kijk er dwars door heen ik had deze bel aangeschaft omdat de vorige ook niet goed werkte ik vind dit echt zonde van mijn geld raad mensen aan dit pruts ding absoluut niet te kopen de reclame is mooi maar in de realiteit werkt dit ding absoluut niet!!!!

My boyfriend and I purchased a ring doorbell and flood light in January. They both broke within a month, we returned them both and received a replacement for the doorbell but never for the flood light. It has been a month and every time we call they say “oh i don’t know what happened, whoever you spoke with last didnt process the return” and they say they’re going to do it at that moment and keep you on hold for 30 minutes and just give you the run around every single time. I am SO SICK of this company. It is unbelievable

Horrible experience. This Company Has Completely Turned Me Off!
Horrible customer service. I returned $850 worth of product in February and I have had to call their customer service number five times about my refund — and I still have NOT been refunded what I am owed. No one knows what is going on at customer service. Every time I call — I have to start all over. Every time I call, they inform me that they are escalating the issue and that I will hear from them in 48-72 hours. This almost feels like a complete scam!!! It takes a lot for me to take the time to write a bad review. A LOT. That says it all.

Beware of this company
Beware of this company. I had to call in for 2 step verification just because I reinstall the android system and the ring app. They told me they would send a code when I called in, but never received any. Such a scam company. I should have read other people's review before buying their stuff.

Ich habe am 19.2.2021 zwei Stick Up Cam Kameras und eine Ersatzbatterie bestellt (Best.-Nr. 014-4857). Die Kameras zum Bundlepreis von € 139.00. Am 23.2.2021 erhalte ich ein Email, ein Teil der Bestellung sei nicht lieferbar, es gebe eine Verzögerung. Am 1.3.2021 erhalte ich eine Mitteilung, die Sendung sei angeblich unterwegs. Am 16.3.2021 erhalte ich die Mitteilung, der Rechnungsbetrag werde zurück erstattet. Warum auch immer!? Eine Begründung wird interessanterweise nicht genannt. Am 23.3.2021 teilt mir Ring mit, die Sendung sei zurückgeschickt worden. Sie ist aber NIE bei mir angekommen, wieso soll sie zurückgeschickt worden sein? Ich denke, sie wurde nie weggeschickt. Ich habe jetzt Kameras bei einer namhaften Konkurrenz gekauft und verzichte inskünftig auf Ring-Produkte. Und wenn ich alle Bewertungen über Ring lese, dann ist das wahrscheinlich auch besser so. M.
