I'm so upset!! I had a person come on my porch, as soon as they stepped up on my porch, the camera stopped recording. I paid over $200 for 1 unit. It has yet to detect the mail carrier no matter what setting I have it on! I have to have internet for it to work (at my expense) and also have a subscription for it. I even have it on the most sensitive setting. Does not detect anyone and zaps the battery. I'm having to charge it at least once a week. Of course for a fee, I can buy another battery. They charge so much to even have the thing, it should work better than it does!!

DO NOT BUY RING
I purchased the Ring Pro thinking it was worth the extra money, instead I have been horribly disappointed. The covering is cheap plastic, not glass and it has developed newton rings, obscuring the view of who ever is coming to my door. I contacted customer care on several occasions and all they would do is offer me a discount to buy another device. I will not spend good many on another Ring product. I wish I could post photos here from my device so everyone can see how the product has deteriorated.

Ring products=great, tech support=great customer support is terrible Bought replacement doorbell. They said I would have in 1-3 days, day 6 I called and was told it was backordered 3 weeks. No call, no email. I cancelled and asked for refund. Rep and supervisor refused refund. Said I had to wait 3 weeks, take delivery and then return bell for refund. Re they kidding? Had PayPal remove charge

Wir haben eine Ring Doorbell Pro mit Transformator gekauft, installiert und direkt einen Fehler bekommen( oberer Halbkreis blinkt blau).
1. Antwort Ring Support: Das Gerät ist defekt, bitte umtauschen.
Gesagt getan. Neue Klingel kommt und diesmal wieder mit dem selben Problem.
2. Antwort Ring Support: Das Gerät ist defekt bitte umtauschen. Auf meine Hinweis, dass es schon die 2. Klingel mit dem selben Fehler ist wurde der USA Support hinzugezogen. Aussage diesmal: die Klingel hat zu wenig Strom und es wird ein stärkerer Transformator zugeschickt.
Das Paket von Ring kommt und siehe da es ist ein Plugin Stecker für den britischen Markt... Also wieder Kontakt zu Ring aufgenommen.

Diesmal Kommt kein Paket... Also wieder bei Ring angerufen.

Das Paket ist da und diesmal mit Transformator, aber es ist kein stärkerer sondern exakt der Selbe, der auch bei der Klingel im Paket beiliegt. Also wieder angerufen.

Diesmal wurde mir gesagt, dass die Klingel mit dem beiliegenden Transformator funktionieren muss. Das Problem könnte auch das mitgelieferte Überbrückungskabel sein. Da gibt es zwischenzeitlich eine neue Version von (also von der Klingel und dem Kabel). Diese soll zugeschickt werden.
Paket kommt und diesmal ist eine Ring Video Doorbell Pro mit Netzteil für die Steckdose drin. Also wieder angerufen und den ganzen Kram zurückgeschickt.

Und jetzt Achtung: bitte einen stärkeren Transformator damit die Klingel genug Strom bekommt.... ich Frage mich eigentlich nur noch WARUM ICH???

Prima producten, maar als je een probleem hebt met een apparaat, dan kom je nog verder in de problemen.
Allereerst is het alleen telefonisch mogelijk een probleem te melden. En, dan moet je je eerst een soort aanmeldcode opvragen. Ok, werkte en iemand aan de telefoon gehad. Mijn gegevens doorgegeven en de support medewerker kon mij niet zo goed verstaan, maar dus bood zij mij aan om mij te bellen.
Tja, en dat was het dan. Verbinding verbroken en nooit meer teruggebeld door Ring. Probleem dus ook niet opgelost.
Ik dacht nog dat men misschien mijn email adres of telefoonnummer niet correct had kunnen noteren door die communicatieproblemen.
Maar, wie schetst mijn verbazing? Ruim 24 uur later een keurig berichtje van Ring hoe mijn gesprek met hun medewerker was bevallen en of het probleem naar volle tevredenheid was opgelost. Tja, u zult begrijpen dat mijn reactie daarop niet bepaald positief was. Ik snap niet dat bedrijven als Ring zo slecht met z'n klant om durft te gaan.

I would put zero stars if it were an option! The customer support absolutely blows. The first guy I got had no clue what he was doing. Had me do exactly what I already did to add a shared user and of course it didn't work. So after 45 min he transfer me to technical support and this lady just keeps asking for screenshots like she doesn't believe what I'm saying. So after an hour and half the tech support provides zero help besides having me redownload the app. Basically the outcome was just log in as primary user on both my phone and moms. So problem solved but not in the right way. the whole point of adding a shared user clearly has issues as it would not work and they provided no solution for fixing that problem.

We purchased the Ring doorbell camera because we are out of town a lot and get a lot of packages from different delivery services Amazon, Walmart, FedEx you name it. So far we get alerts on city buses driving by school buses driving by garbage trucks driving by and of course when we drive in the driveway and leave. Several packages mysteriously showing up and guess what no alerts. We have had salesmen knocking at our doors. Nothing. I put it on the people only setting and I get bird alerts. Not impressed.
Terrible service quality, don't give a sh it about fixing it.
They are not providing the service that they SELL to you. No recorded videos can be watched FOR HOURS - and they have the guts to f..ing lie on their website that "all systems are working". Just utterly pathetic to provide such a poor service and expect users to be happy with it.
I highly recommend NOT investing into any Ring solution. Totally unreliable.
The IT team is utterly incompetent and ring.com management does not give a sh it because they already have the devices sold and the subscriptions paid. DISHONEST AND - LOOKING AT THEIR PRICING - GREEDY LIKE CRAPP

Don't do it...good cameras but if you ever need help the customer service is a nightmare! if you return something you will wait months until you get a refund. Then they will hang up on you 3 times. You will have to go through all the information again and again....There are many other great security cameras out there that are just as good and have quick, reliable service.

Trash customer support. Have to call and they say they will maybe respond in 1 or 2 days.
Then they never respond. On average it takes 5-10 minutes to make it to a human.

Ring products are substandard
In addition to mediocre functionality and image quality, the physical doorbell is of very poor quality. Holland does not have very challenging weather (I am Norwegian and have also spent years in Thailand ... that is challening weather...), but the paint flakes, the surface looks awful... After one year I complained and DID get a replacement, but that one is now after one year just as bad. I cannot recommend Ring products or organization at all.

While I appreciate security, Ring makes it impossible to move your own cameras to another address or even change networks. On top of that they are the most expensive security cameras on the market. I have WYZE, cloudcams, and Nest cameras and every one of them are easier to use and don't punish you for changing routers, addresses, or even your phone or home PC. change any one of these and you'll have ot be on the phone with ring for hours trying tio get things moved. DON"T DO IT!! any other choice is better than RING. I'd give it less than 1 star if I could.
Poor company
Ordered a Ring doorbell, came and was working well, charged the battery, the device would not reconnect. Rang customer service and they tried to reboot the device that failed. They told me they would replace the device, I have been calling them for over 2 month and the only thing I received is a return label by email. I kept calling customer service and round and round the merry go round. Terrible service really poor communication and no real interest in resolving the issue. Very very poor.

Time-consuming problems
I have doorbell, stick-up camera and Chime Pro.
I had constant difficulties with doorbell and camera connections and was advised by RING to purchase a Chime Pro to resolve.
Problems worse if anything and consuming so much time to try to solve. The RING app has many glitches and gets stuck so often.
Really Poor Support
I bought a new computer and ring doesn’t recognize my login. I entered the verification code they sent me, and it tells me it failed, and I have to wait an hour to try again. 3 tries and hours later, the codes they sent to me still do not work. I tried a chat; but chats do not support troubleshooting. It’s almost impossible to find a number to speak with a human. We have a home business and get a lot of daily deliveries. I really need to see who is at my door. I haven't had any device issues, but because their support is so substandard, this will be the last product I buy from them.

Ring video doorbell system.
Generally the servers are slow as can be. If someone isn't viewed just right, it tells you it detected something, but the video won't be ready to view for 15 minutes. My autistic stepson accidentally figured out how to completely walk within 2 foot of the camera, unlock enter the house, come back out, lock the door and not be detected as he walks away.
Worst is trusting it to provide some security. If someone is lurching in your doorway, or dropping off a package. If they don't press the doorbell, Ring still sends a snapshot that someone may or may not be visible in, and you are left wondering if it's safe to open the door or not. You pull up live view to not see anything, so then time to check the recording. This is where you wait 15 minutes for their server to finally load and let you review the video.
If you call customer care, most of the time overseas, to talk with a rep who doesn't understand English or that you are in a hurry because someone is trying to break into your house. You verify your name, email address, phone number, the code from an email they sent you, sign into your Amazon account, recite your wedding vows, and confirm your blood type. Ok not the last 2, but you will probably need to repeat several times due to bad English. Then explain what's going on, so they transfer you to technical support to start over explaining the problem, but only after verification again.
Stay very far away.
I received a defective cam in september 2020. Since then, I've been promised a replacement 4 times, and every time it seems the 'request has failed'. They're hard to get in contact with, you can't really escalate, and I still haven't got the camera I paid for.

I spent 46 minutes with a customer service and the resolution was unacceptable.my husband passed away and since the account was under his name I had to call to try and transfer it to my name. They want me to wait for 60days to make sure it wasn’t used!!! I commented re why not just let me return it back while they send me a new one . Nope! They rather I wait for 60days without it. So this device was purchased nov 2020 and I will have to throw it as it’s no use to me $220 that my dead husband paid! Now I have to re purchase bcuz I have extra charger batteries. Wow! Talking about a weak policy regarding a customer who can’t even get it working ! I could’ve just went in my husband’s email and change the card being use to renew it and be in my merry way. Ring needs to change their policy! I guess buying another ring will be more business to the company!

i purchased 2 solar powered wifi cameras one year ago. they have never worked properly. the motion detectors detect motion way too late, its impossible to activate a live view and to post important videos to the app is an exercise in futility. and as for customer support... according to ring the problem is always a connectivity issue because apparantly their products are flawless. ring products are poor quality and a bad investment.
