The New App for Ring SUCKS
The New App for Ring in the best of terms simply SUCKS. IT aways goes to Live view. What is wrong with those people, I have wanted an always go to Live view I would have simply ordered a camera to do so. Put it back to what it was to provide an intuitive way to get there. Also to note: Interesting that on recording options they say the change will affect battery life. Well - What are you saying about going to live view. extremely frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did I add enough !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered the Ring Doorbell from the…
I ordered the Ring Doorbell from the Amazon Website on Jan 15th and it was delivered on Jan 18th. During the process of setting up the app and doorbell, I noticed the mounting plate was missing. I immediately call Ring to get the missing part. I waiting for days and called back on Jan 27th. The agent (Linda) told me that she would have the item expediated to me and I would have it in 3 days. No mounting plate received. I called back and this agent tells me I would have it on Feb 4th by 9pm and that they do not offer expediated service. It clearly states on the website under Canceling, Returns, Missing items that they do offer expediated service. Clearly, the experience dealing with Ring Customer gives me pause to ever do business with them in the future.

Nog nooi z’n waardeloze aankoop gedaan. 80% WiFi buiten maar ring heeft te weinig ontvangst. Extra apparaat binnen doet niks beter. 2 x miskoop dus, en nog abonnement van 3euro vragen na een maand. Uittellende is hij van 8 hoog naar beneden gevlogen. Einde 140 euro totaal

Product started off with so much potential but somewhere along the line the company lost its purpose I have 3 ring units and they went from ok to horrible totally a waste of money..

Waste of money
The app is terrible. Getting a connection to the Ring to see who is at the door almost never works. "Coincidentally" this happened a lot after my trial on their cloud service had ended which allowed me to look back on the timeline.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The app is so unresponsive that the visitor would have left my front door if I was rely on the app alone(this did actually happen many times when I was waiting for my chime to arrive) . I have excellent signal strength and live in a cottage and there is no issue with WiFi. We bought the chime too, the first one I bought from amazon had already been associated with someone else's ring account so I had to return it, changing over to my name would take 14 days. The combo of the doorbell and chime work fine together but be under no illusion there is no video capability with this combo. So basically you will spend 300 euro for a doorbell. It's a joke. Avoid at all costs.

My doorbell is 6 feet from my router with a pain of glass between to keep the cold air out but yet if I try to s Use the app to see who is out side my door if your lucky I might catch there booty walking off in to the distance, they just blame it on your WiFi but every thing else in my property works perfectly fine all I can say is get it sorted I am paying for this rubbish.

I purchased two outdoor Spotlight…
I purchased two outdoor Spotlight cameras 16 months ago. One of the cameras quit working. I contacted Ring and the best they can do for me is give me 35% off a new one. That is unacceptable, these camera should last longer than 16 months.

Pathetic quality for a ridiculous price
1. Ring Doorbell hardwired with brand new transformer: - constantly loses the connection - records people when they are already out of the view - quality is low during the day and awful during the night (1080 is a medieval age, everyone has at least 5PM) - For 200$ you can buy TWO 4K reolink camera with optical zoom which performs instantly and records everything with FREE cloud for 1 camera. 2. Ring $59 camera 1080. - I know I'm going to repeat Reolink, I'm not from Reolink, I just compare my experience with both products, but you can get one 5MP with 3x optical zoom PTZ reolink with free cloud for this money or TWO 4MP reolink camera PT without optical zoom. Pathetic quality for a ridiculous price - this is Ring cameras. 3. Ring alarm - did I mention they still don't have a broken glass sensor despite thousands of requests from the users...

Wild goose chase
Recently was taken on a wild goose chase by a technician who clearly had no idea what he was doing. He reminded me several times that he was a “techie” who clearly didn’t understand the nature of the problem I discussed with him. All I wanted to do was turn up the volume on my 2nd generation Ring Doorbell which had been working well prior to this service call. This young man took me on a 4 hour journey from hell asking me to reset the device, drop my wi-if signal, etc. Secondarily, I’m not a bigot or a racist but for god’s sake hire people who can communicate clearly and concisely. Without that as a minimum requirement, all the technical expertise in the world is useless. Revamp your entire service department so that it services people who in many ways have a basic understanding of the equipment they’re using. Number one issue; communicate with customers that you understand their problem than demonstrate that in the simplest manner you can address their concerns. Doesn’t require a computer science degree from MIT or Rensselaer.

Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Tried to return a defective product and 2 months later although the product was returned still no refund. After endless talking to customer agents who tell you it will be done nothing gets done. Do not use this company!

Ring Doorbells! I wish I had read the reviews!
I purchased two Ring Doorbells. I had them professionally installed.Cameras stayed offline. Cameras continually say no connection. Alerts are extremely slow or non- existant. One CAMERA is hard-wired. One camera works on battery. After so many issues, I had my internet provider to update and check my internet connection. I even purchased a RING CHIME. Still same problems remain. In order to remove these cameras I will have to pay extra (extra to the professional to remove and uninstall them.)The camera view is excellent with no purpose. On the lowest setting battery life is weak and last about a week. I have wasted my time and my money. I wish Ring would offer me a solution. To return the cameras would cost me more because I would have to pay for the uninstall. I wish I had read all the reviews before I purchased these cameras . I own doorbell cameras that are decorational but not operational.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am disgusted ! Please do your homework before purchasing Ring Doorbells. P.S. I also purchased a wifi extender. The wifi extender did not solve the problem either. I am tired of spending money to make this product work. I also discovered that others are experiencing the same problems.

Products so far work well and exceed expectations, however, their customer service is some of the worst I've seen. Waiting on hold for hours, chats responded to without any understanding of the issue or empathy, down right rude.

Doesn’t ring a bell....
Alleen maar slechte ervaringen met Ring. Indien je de klantenservice belt, de enige mogelijkheid om contact op te nemen, word je vreselijk lang aan de lijn gehouden (tot 40 minuten). Ik heb een zending geretourneerd en moest van twee camera’s een productnummer doorgeven, de verpakking dus openen voor deze nummers. Het derde product, een extra batterij, had niet zo’n nummer. Ik kon desalniettemin alles retourneren. Na ontvangst had ik volgens Ring alleen de twee camera’s geretourneerd, het bedrag van de batterij is dus niet terugbetaald. Weer gebeld, de situatie uitgelegd, het zou uitgezocht worden en ik zou binnen 48 uur een reactie ontvangen. Na weken ontvang ik nu de reactie dat het bedrag van de twee camera’s geretourneerd is. Dat wist ik al en dat was niet mijn vraag. Ik voel mij bestolen, waardeloze fabrikant en klantenservice. Op grond van mijn ervaring kan ik maar één advies geven: Koop er niets...

The woman has the worse accent
The woman has the worse accent. I cannot understand her and she kept saying “as I have already told you”, that didn’t help because she kept repeating herself and I cannot understand a word she was saying. Where is your customer service located? Bring your center back to the U.S. for your English speaking customers!

Poor Customer Service & Follow Through
This is a copy of the letter I wrote to Ring.com since I couldn't resolve my issues over the phone. I’m writing this letter to inform you that I am not satisfied with the quality of service that I received within the last few weeks regarding my Ring subscription. I renewed my Ring Protect Basic Plan on 12/17/20 for $30.00 annually. To my surprise, my credit card was charged for $57.75 for the RING YEARLY PLAN on 12/17/20. When I noticed the charge on my Visa on 12/21/20 I called Ring. The analyst cancelled my plan in hopes to get the difference refunded to my credit card. However, this only served to make things more complicated. My plan was cancelled, and she couldn’t renew it without another $30 charge to my Visa. So, she said she would give me a free 30-day trial and turn it over to account logistics and someone would get back with me in 3-5 days. I received another charge for $2.50 and then a credit for $25.50 on my Visa on 12/21/20. I received an email on 12/30/20, which I considered suspicious, so I didn’t reply. This email didn’t sound very professional, and it didn’t have a signature or any identifier that this person was a Ring representative, so I made a call to your company. The analyst offered to cancel my subscription, but I didn’t want my subscription to be cancelled - I wanted my account to show the subscription I paid for and the credit ($5) that was still due to me. She said she would turn it over to account logistics and someone would get back with me in 3-5 days. I hadn’t heard back from anyone, so I called Ring again on 1/4/21. The analyst was extremely helpful, sending me a link so I could email her the documentation showing the charges on my Visa. She said she received the email and was turning it over to account logistics and someone would get back with me within 3-5 days. I called for the 4th time on 1/19/21, and I received the same answer from your analyst: “I will turn this over to account logistics and someone will get back with you within 24-48 hours.” So, now I have paid for a subscription that I don’t have, and my 30-day free trial has expired! I am very disappointed in the customer service that I have received to this point. Overall, the analysts were nice and I believe they worked within their boundaries, but I shouldn’t have to call four times to get the subscription that I initially paid for and still not have it resolved. This level of customer service is unacceptable! In hindsight, I should’ve checked Trustpilot.com to see the customer reviews - there were 2,495 reviews awarding Ring.com only 1.5/5.0 stars. Based on my experience to date, I would not recommend Ring to a family member or a friend.

Ring deurbel 3 gekregen met kerst. Hangt nu op 2 schroeven op zwarte onderplaat. Andere schroeven uit handen geglipt en niet meer te vinden. NL support gebeld, gaan gelijk in de verkoop mode. Deurbel heb ik al!!!! Ik moet extra schroeven hebben. Waar is jullie email support. Trouwens bel hangt op 2 metervan router en verliest steeds verbinding, doet niks meer. Batterij er uit opnieuw insteken helpt, maar dat werkt natuurlijk niet.

Totally Terrible Customer Service and Support.
I have a total of 23 ring products in my home. - 14 Piece Ring Alarm with Professional Monitoring - 4 Path Lights - 1 Step Light - 2 Spot Lights - 2 Floodlight Battery 3 Weeks ago, I contacted Ring Support to inform that the 2 Floodlight Batteries were flickering and need to be replaced. The female rep I spoke to did some troubleshooting and after 30 mins informed me that a replacement order has been submitted and I should receive them shortly. Fast forward 2 weeks and I received nothing. I call Ring again and speak with a male rep who tells me the “previous agent” I spoke to did everything wrong and nothing was processed. He proceeds to tell me he will “fix” this issue and send out the two replacement floodlights and asked me to send him the picture of the serial numbers for both floodlights which I did. Fast forward 5 days and I receive just “one” flood light. I call Ring support again and now a female rep, tells me that the previous rep only ordered “one”. Tell me if this is ridiculous or not! 3 Calls and I ask for the supervisor (whose name is “Rose”) who tells me they do not have the email or number for the “Ring complaints” division and I need to look at the Ring packaging for more details on who to contact. I am on the line with them as I write this review and guess what, they had put me on hold, and the line just cuts off. Surprise! I am totally disappointed that the Ring Company belonging to Amazon has such terrible support. You would think they would at least offer you a discount or waive the product charge for me spending 3 calls of my life for their mistake. Such a Shame. If someone from Ring or Amazon does decide to take action on this review, please look up the below request ID’s: Request ID Plc26d5-4758 – This was where the male rep only ordered one replacement instead of two Request ID Plc3832-c004 – This was where the second replacement was ordered. Bad way to double annual pricing
Good cameras. Company customer care and policies are bad. After owning two camera for over a year, they put me on a trial without explaining anything. Then after a month sent an email saying I added another device ( same devices- no changes) and charged my credit card doubling my bill. Really bad way to raise prices! Super upset.

I wish I had done more research before…
I wish I had done more research before I invested in a Ring doorbell. It sounded too good to be true. It was. Not only did I get duped into purchasing the doorbell, but I bought the solar panel so that it never needed charging. Forget it. Absolutely does not work. Not only does the doorbell still need charging, but it seems like more than before. Terrible. If you can’t connect to a power source, do not invest in a Ring.

Save your money
Save your money. Phone App used with Ring wifi drops, always has a problem loading up "live" when I need it. Always says, it's having trouble and that somethings wrong. There's also a Neighbors feature where you can alert area of suspicious activity. The one time I reported suspicious activity because a suspicious solicitor didn't like my trespassing sign and could be clearly seen grabbing their crotch area, I posted video for others to be on watch but Ring deleted my video, stating they didn't notice any suspicious about the video, yet they allow much less suspicious activity to be granted, dogs, boom sounds, etc.

Waste My Time 2021
I had a code to use and went through the entire list of eligible products. The security system that I was looking at getting was within this eligibility list. When I went to checkout, it wouldn’t accept the code. It said, “products aren’t eligible.” So, I thought it was weird and reached out in the customer service chat to get some clarification. This bot of a representative asked me various questions only to say “you should call the sales team” after 15 minutes. Okay what a waste of time. I then decide to call. I was forwarded to a representative and explained what was happening. She then stated, “it doesn’t apply. It’s also bundle.” So I questioned a bit asking, “but it’s clearly listed in the eligibility list? I’m just confused as to why it would be listed within that if it doesn’t apply?” *CRICKETS* “it just doesn’t apply.” Listen, I’m all for understanding if it just doesn’t apply. But, it was clearly listed. To have absolutely no help from a customer service rep and no explanation- completely ridiculous. You think I’m about to drop $400 on a security system when you can’t even take the time to talk with me fully? Okay. Yeah no.

This sounds like an interesting idea, and the people who pay for the service and those who report issues may be the only reasons for not giving it a 1. My experience thus far is a nearly constant run of false alarms showing nothing on the screen (what the heck triggered it?) and problems connecting to the live video. No matter how many times I click reconnect, it either works immediately or never connects. I hate the business model of giving a bad product with the option to pay a nominal fee to eliminate small issues that shouldn't be there(for the monthly fee, it can eliminate all alarms that don't have a human-sized trigger- why is that not standard?) If it was not installed by the previous owner, I would never use it. As is, VERY disappointed.
