Ring Doorbell is Total sh&t!!
Ring Doorbell is Total sh&t!! it doesn't go off at night when you need it to and the connection is a big gamble every time it's like waiting for an important call that doesn't happen. I also have 4 different cameras and the doorbell like everyone else, the devices don't work half the time, constant delays when going live, cannot access live when I'm at work or at home all the setting are correctfor it to work, frequent blackout footage unavaible and I've been having a HORRIBLE and I mean very HORRIBLE experience with customer service. Waste of my time and my money on something that doesn't work and would I recommend it no I would not recommend this pice of crap to anyone plus my wife is tired of it by now not working.

HORRIBLE!!!!!! We have had nothing but problems with our ring cameras one of them went out within a few months of installing it ...the upload is so slow that the person invading your property could break in and assault you before you could ever bring it up on your phone. Major failure !!!!!!! The cameras periodically will not record Which also means you won’t be able to capture those who wish to do harm or vandalize your property!!!!!!!!?? save yourself the $$$$$$ there literally is no security with these so-called security cameras !!!!!!! do not install these cameras they are horrible!!!!!!

Do not buy if you can avoid it!
where to start?? Having the same issues as everyone else. I have 4 cameras and a doorbell and like everyone else, the devices doesn't work OVER HALF of the time! Constant delays when going live, cannot access live when I'm at work, frequent blackout "footage unavaible" periods and recently I have been having a HORRIBLE experience with customer service giving me my exchange/refund with a device I recently purchased! Constantly being told stuff needs to be reprocessed and using covid as an excuse for delays just to be told the same thing over and over again everytime I call to check on the status of my exchange/refund that I should have received! It seems as if everything was going fine until I signed up for a membership, then things has constantly gone down from that point on! Avoid Ring and go with Nest. I have a friend who uses nest and loves it! And to think, I was considering buying their security system! Yeah I'm not going to do that! I'll rather be robbed and not have paid hundreds of dollars for a security system that was supposed to help prevent that then be still be robbed with the security system in place!

Bereue es zu tiefst 1000€ in diesen Sondermüll investiert zu haben, es läuft einfach garnix, Personen sind schon ewig wieder weg bevor Ring im Stande ist eine Verbindung herzustellen... und es liegt garantiert nicht an der Internetverbindung oder dem Mobilfunkanbieter- ich hab die maximal möglichen Datenraten bei beiden! Es ist nur sehr erschwert möglich Live Videos anzusehen- bis diese geladen werden ist jede Person schon weg, die Doorbell funktioniert die halbe Zeit nicht, und wenn du mal durchsprechen willst versteht dich keiner und du auch niemand... Bewegungen werden zu 60% erst eine halbe Stunde später gemeldet, oder einfach erst gar nicht aufgezeichnet.. so kommt schon mal eine Bewegungsmeldung erst 2 Stunden später an... unglaublich so einen Müll zu verkaufen!

AVOID! Antiquated, unreliable with Useless tech support
All in all, save yourself a lot of aggravation and peace of mind and just AVOID Ring products and service at all costs. You get what you pay for but 10x worst. I have the Home alarm and security cameras and it has been frustration after frustration nightmare. I chose Ring (which I regret immensely) because of the integration with Alexa and price. The camera is outdated with useless antiquated functions even though it was their latest and greatest at the time of purchase. I should have know when I first installed the camera and the metal arm support broke like a twig that I made a grave mistake for choosing RING security. From there it just snowballed into problematic issues and poorly designed UI to "read from a script" so called tech support that arent able to help you at all but always quick to inconvenience you to climb up a ladder and reset your cameras that never solves the issue in the first place. Or sending so-called updated parts that do nothing but waste your time on replacing old junk with new junk. But the most frustrating part is the UN-RELIABLE, sub-par Ring, and Ring Rapid App. I can write a novel of some of the useless features, or non-fuctioning service and half-a** attempt to provide a commonsense interface, but it's just not worth it at the end.

Terrible! We got all sorts of false alarms, but it would miss an actual person at the door
The doorbell would notify us if a car went by, but would miss a person at my door. I tried to change the settings and the positioning of the doorbell but to no avail. I watched, more than once, an Amazon delivery to my door - and one was several packages so the delivery person stood there, unloading 6 boxes from a cart. All the while, I receive no notification. The sound (mic) was terrible -- people couldn't understand us nor we them because of all the static. I am so frustrated!

I can give ZERO if this was an option. Terrible customer service for a very successful company. Not sure why just to ask a question you are on a music hold and AD hold for hours. DO NOT BUY IT

Ring is a good idea but was ruined by Ring. We have posted videos of people trespassing in our yard. Ring recorded the incidents and we posted the vids to inform our neighbors and community. Ring staff refused to post them and deleted them. Ring sent us a letter about their community standards about crime. Perhaps Ring is cutting cost? Or really doesn't care about a community. At any rate don't trust Ring crime statistics since Ring decides what is and what isn't a crime.

Ring deurbel gekocht en met veel moeite kunnen installeren. App is traag, heel traag. De proefperiode is vervallen na een maand en puur toevallig zegt de app ook net die dag dat de wifi verbinding met de deurbel slecht is waardoor we geen livebeeld krijgen. Dus ik abonneer me op hun protect plan en 'hopla' opeens terug perfecte wifi verbinding....nog nooit zo hard afgezet geweest, pure chantage.

Ring is a terrible product
Ring is a terrible product. I've have been upgraded 3 times with replacement doorbells since buying the ring 1 doorbell due to issues the company couldn't correct.currentky I have been escalated to the engineering for missing footage in my screenshot timeline. Thus has been in escalation for two months and going now. I have no faith in the company concern for public safety just to grab money. I have a doorbell on my front and back door and both cameras have been experiencing these gaps of missing footage. Sometimes on both cameras at the same time. That could be the needed pinnacle footage of a crime being committed and footage not being captured leaving me vulnerable to attack or lacking info that could catch a culprit after the incident. I am very disappointed with their service and customer service as well I have so much documented footage of technical issues and lies from customer service associates it would definitely shine a bad light on the company and cause for some major restructuring and placement of delegation of duties. A terrible product I would not recommend ring to anyone, family or associates if they are seeking a dependable and reliable source for home security.

Don’t waste your money!!
Don’t waste your money!!! Useless product and worse customer service. I had many people come up to my door, right at the camera and it did not capture them, when it does, the quality is so poor which renders it useless. You would think that it does not get any worse but wait, it does! Just try to get their “customer Service” to help you. Completely useless!

The Ring is a great product, but it is the WORST experience I have EVER had with a company in replacing a product. I had called and thought my issue was resolved on August 7th was told they would ship out a replacement within 1 week, 2 weeks later never received. Call back was told same thing and gave it 2 more weeks NOTHING. Then a 3rd time was apologized to, and would be shipped with in 2-3 business days. Than a week later (now has been over a month and a half (August 7 to September 22nd) was now item was shipped to wrong address (when numerous times have given my address to them) last phone called made was over a hour n a half in which have no exact confirmation when or if my replacement wil ever be received. As for the product it’s great, but hopefully nothing goes wrong with it because they care nothing for rectifying there errors and fixing them immediately. For a Large company they seem to not care or have concern for the customers who have purchased there products.

The ring doorbell camera was all the rave and a lot of hoopla went into pushing it. I am an older person, living alone, so I bought my ring doorbell camera on Black Friday 2019. The first thing I had to do was increase my Internet speed (to 50GB) which cost me $30 more per month. Then I paid them a fee for monitoring for the first year. The system worked great for a couple of months. Lately, it does not work very often. Case in point: I stood in front of it today and waved my hand and it did nothing. The battery is fully charged so that’s not the problem. Then there are times when it comes on and there’s nobody there. CUSTOMER SERVICE is a JOKE! You would think the RICHEST man in the world would be concerned about a product that he paid $1 billion for but it is IMPOSSIBLE to talk to a human being. When you call their customer service number all you get is the stupidest artificial intelligence response out there - no human being. A product that supposed to help us feel more secure with a feedback rating of less than 1.5 should be a concern to the product and development department. I have one but I’ll never buy another one - nor even recommend it to anyone - unless they do something with their customer service and let me know what I need to do with the one I’ve got. EXTREMELY, extremely disappointed in the product!

Poor quality and bad customer service
Ring security system = poor quality and bad customer service. Purchased a home security package Sep 6, 2020. Now the system says the battery of one the sensors is low, no connection. Went through all of the hoops to finally get to person to explain. Then this person asked me to do all of the steps, remove batteries from one sensor to install it in the bad sensor, reset, etc. Then the system says the sensor has been tampered. This person did not even know or explain that I had to reset it again. Got the manager on and he sure was not much help either. He could not even read my sensor in his system, asking me to send photo of the sensor, blaming me for lying for not resetting/pressing the button on the sensor. So the sensor could also be bad, but they only would send new batteries for this bad sensor and it that will not work, they will consider other options. All of this problems after less than one month of purchase and this run around services? No thanks. I am taking the whole thing back to Costco.

Service is sub par as well as there products
I picked up a Ring Flood Light Camera in 2018. It worked ok but every once in a while the lights would come on and off on and off. Regardless if motion was detected. I would have to climb up on a 15 foot ladder to reset the Camera. I did this about every 6 months. Was annoying but could get it to work. For the last several weeks I have had the same issues. I checked on Rings forum and tons of other user were having the same problems. You pretty much have no option but to call Ring tech support. We did last night. Carlos was the rep that answered and we could barely understand him and I don't think he understood us either. Had to explain to him several times about the issues we were having. After about 30 minutes of being on hold and talking then back on hold. He said there was nothing he could do it was out of warranty and how would we like to pay for a new unit. We told him to just cancel our yearly account and he said we could do that online . The units when they work seem to do well. But if you have any problems you are on your own. I have several different security cameras from Vivnit and Wyze. Never had this amount of problems with their equipment or with their customer service. Bottom line is they do not stand by there products. Never heard of a camera lasting 20 months or 8 months over the year warranty.

Have fun trying to connect to your doorbell when motion is detected. You'll get used to the message "We're having trouble connecting to your Doorbell." Doesn't matter that my RSSI is Very Good to Excellent. It NEVER connects.

The ring door bell is not what they say it is.…
The ring door bell is not what they claim. If someone rings the door bell it takes a minimum of 30 seconds to a minute to show an alert, by then I have answered the door, or the person ringing my bell is gone. Also it takes a full minute or two to show the video on my phone or tablet. My wifi router is two feet from the door bell and the settings say it has a strong signal to the bell. So I think that this device is a poorly made piece of crap. I can tell you this I will not recommend this to my worst enemy. After I run out of my subscription I will not renew, and will probably get a Nest.

Horrible
Horrible! Hard wired- still gets bad connection and now it strobes incessantly with every motion. Can’t interrupt unless we disconnect it. Company told us warranty was up and we would have to purchase a new device. YA RIGHT, GET REAL! No way. Not me

I purchased my ring almost 6 months ago, in the first 2 moths it worked great, then the last 4 months my battery started to die and I will have to charge every 1-2 weeks then my battery started to die every 2 days . I have contacted ring 5 times , the first 3 times they trouble shooted, then the 4th time I was told that I will be charged a $1 convenience fee to finally replaced the battery , I never received confirmation for it , then I called once again to be told that the last customer rep NEVER PUT IN THE ORDER , that was then 6 weeks after the 4th call . now it's been 2 weeks I did receive an email about the replacement battery , I was told no convenience fee will be charge ( big deal ) but I will definitely receive the replacement battery , the rep even went as far stating that the 4th rep will be punished for never putting in the order, let me say this, their customer service is far from top notch. the majority of their reps are based in India , so not only does the customer service is horrific it's based somewhere else.I was going to buy more products from ring for my bigger home now that I have expanded in the size of my home but I will not be doing so , also their products aren't cheap , especially to receive this type of customer service .

I’ve been waiting for 45 minutes for a video to load. How far am I from my router, 6’. Doorbell rings, I can get up and answer the door and go back before it loads up. It’s a very inconsistent piece of garbage.

While it is nice to have the real time…
While it is nice to have the real time access to view and record its notes and events on your property, recently my home was broken into I was notified that my camera had been disarmed while I was at work 2 hours later I was notified that my device and woz being requested for owner transfer and asked if this was by myself and I said no And they were able to successfully block that transaction. When I got off work immediately when home to discover that my house was broken into. The perp is who tried to access my cam they refused to provide me the customer with the information or ip address on the device that tried to access my account and trade ownership.they also refused to give me the info on devices that had accessed my account without my authorization

Lack of Technical Support
The recent experience I had with disconnecting my Ring service when I sold my house (as well as the new owner trying to connect the service) confirms my belief that Ring has a pretty chic product but has NO WHERE NEAR the technical support to support the products they offer. I was on the phone with their Technical Support team for 45 minutes trying to get them to remove the device attached to my disconnected account. They could even see that there had NOT been any recordings for over 30 days but insisted the ONLY way to remove the device was for me to reload their phone app & remove the device. Even though i could log onto their Web App and see the device was NOT active. Apparently RING development teams didnt think they should also support this ability from their web app. In addition, their Technical Support team indicated even their Escalation department didnt have the Technical ability to complete this ask - which re-affirms that their Technical Support team is NOT all that Technical. They are just reading from a script. My recommendation to the new owner was to find a provider that was better technically qualified to support their products.

Een hele slechte klantenservice. Tijdens Corona bestelling ontvangen. Hiervan moest 1 artikel retour. Dat kon op dat moment niet vanwege Corona werd mij verteld. Iedere maand via de mail gevraagd om een retour label. Nooit ontvangen en nu geven ze aan dat de retourtermijn verstreken is. Na het toezenden van bewijs dat ik er vaak om gevraagd heb, hoor je niks meer van ze!
