This operation is clueless.
I am one of the lucky ones my device works 3/4 of the time.My Ring spotlight camera recently recorded an attempted burglary and I was working with the police. For an unrelated billing issue I wasted 15 minutes trying to talk to a living breathing person in customer service. When that finally happened the individual had a very strong accent which is OK. The problem was I could not hear her hear what she was saying.
Her phone had low volume issues. After saying "what" 80 times came the nightmare with there code thing, no kidding a half hour.
My bank had issued me a new credit card ard number. I needed to give them the new card number for billing. I wanted to give them money. I have never jump through so many hoops to give a company money. I thought they actually had it figured out after 45 minutes of mind blowing frustratio. I specifically told her do not erase my saved recordings especially the stared ones as I had a police investigation under way. She assured me that billing had nothing to do with the recordings.
The reason that I have their equipment is for security at my business. After hanging up I checked my recordings. The ring specialist had deleated all my saved and unsaved recordings. I've never experienced such incompetence in my 63 years of life. They need to spend less money on sales commercials and invest in getting their act together.
Customer service on product support is…worse than terrible.
Customer service on product support is pathetic. I ordered a back-up battery over a month ago. Received an email from Ring stating product had been delivered. It had not. Now 3 calls to customer service and I still don't have the battery 45 days later. Also ordered simple Ring stickers - nearly 30 days ago and have yet to receive those. Will never order from Ring again.
I have a Ring doorbell, but the product sucks
I have a Ring doorbell, not the best product as I would get delayed notification often and notification when I one was there. I recently got a new modem/router, Ring stopped working. I thought that putting the new password of the new router would be a simple matter, but was a nightmare, just could not do it. So I called Ring customer service, I could not get hold of anyone in the first few tries as they wanted me to put in the "code", which I did not have. So I signed in to Ring via laptop, got a code but that would not work, but at least the wrong code triggered a live person I could speak too The rep reset my app, but now I needed to re-enter my password which Ring would not accept. I had to reset the exact password at least 4 times, a code was sent by email every time which I had to enter, but when I did that I was knocked out of app. Then finally I was able to log in, but I discovered that to link the new modem the Ring device had to be physically unscrewed. It needed a custom screwdriver, which I could not find having installed the device 2 years ago.
The rep told me they will send me a screwdriver, then I should call them. I said hell no, I am not going to spend 30 minutes on phone again going through endless verification, just tell me the steps so I can connect to the new modem. She gave me about 23 steps, I kid you not to set the new modem. I told her I am no Einstein, I will just try to figure it out myself. I told the rep, I am sure I can't be the only dissatisfied customer, she told me many other customers are having similar problem. I got a email, the screwdriver will take 7-10 days to arrive.
Pretty awful experience, stay away from this product. All they want is to push more products, the product sucks.
Poor customer support
Poor customer support. One camera died and now my video doorbell which is hardwired died. Had difficulty signing in on a new device and was unable to reach anyone by phone or chat. All support seems to be user provided. Will ditch Ring as well as Amazons Blink for a better system.
I have 3 Ring products
I have three Ring products. 1 doorbell, 2 cams. We’ve had them just a little over 1 year. The back cam completely stopped working about 6 months ago.
The other cam & the doorbell, can barely keep a charge on the batteries.
I think the idea was a good idea, but they’ve obviously used very cheap products for manufacturing. Save your money.
I would give negative stars
I would give negative stars if they existed. Worst worst worst customer service I've ever experienced! I encourage you to purchase from any other company. They won't ship the product for months due to delays but won't allow you to cancel and receive a refund until it's shipped. Just insane for a company to hold such low standards for themselves.

As other reviewers have mentioned, live view is very temperamental. I also feel that it is not user friendly for us tech dummies. I wish my husband had never purchased this product.
Ring makkelijk hackbaar
Ik ben gehackt, videobeelden waren op eens verwijderd en instellingen gewijzigd. Sinds Amazon bij is gekomen. Is de veiligheidsysteem drastisch verslechterd. Klantenservice heb je ook niet veel aan want ze houden aan een vaste protocol. Ring gaat niet toegeven dat een beveiliging slecht is. Hopelijk komen ze met de een update voor een betere beveiliging.
Ubell video doorbell passed suddenly
After a loud alarm sounding off yet again, early in the morning from this ubell video doorbell, for no apparent reason because the batteries were recently charged, my UBELL doorbell has passed. After ripping it from the holder, and surgically removing the batteries, an autopsy was performed. UBELL calls your phone everytime something goes by the camera. I received 25 calls from insects in 20 seconds. Shut off phone calls and received no other notifications. Videos taken of NOTHING every minute or so and stored in Gallery on phone. Tiny leprechaun, with tiny hands needed to screw in phone to holder. People who actually come to the door are not worthy of a video. Autopsy conclusion: Just another cheap knock off that I wasted my money on YET AGAIN! Virtual services will be held next Thursday at the bin.
Absolutely no customer service
Absolutely no customer service. You get ONLY RECORDING HE'LL. My doorbell is not activated properly but it continues every half hour to tell me someone is at our door. I will disconnect all of it.
I absolutely WILL NOT RECOMMEND RING.
My Ring base station has stopped…
My Ring base station has stopped working. Have been trying for 3 days to get a response. Online, they don't recognize my combination of email address and password, even though it's the same as it's been since I started almost 2 years ago. The request for a new password never gets a response. With the base station not working, I can't do anything on my Ring App. By phone, it requires a case # that you can only get through the Ring app or the Ring website. Duh! Can't use either! Not a single way to talk to a person to troubleshoot my problem. Disgusting customer services!!!

My doorbell inside the house stopped working since I installed my ring doorbell and I called customer support who are not helpful at all told me Only way they could help me is if I told him the model number of my original doorbell which I told him I don’t have It I bought the house with the doorbell on it their answer was they couldn’t help me then. Plus it’s supposed to be hardwired with the app says it is but then the next day it says it’s not hardwired I don’t understand how it can change overnight and the representative couldn’t tell me why either only that I would have to provide them with the model number again that’s the only answer
Can’t get a response for a very simple…
Can’t get a response for a very simple transaction. Needed to file a claim on a warranty and they seem to be intentionally delaying me to try to extend past my warranty expiration. Have spoken with dozens of people on the phone, emailed and “chatted” and can’t get a simple, clear response.
We purchased our Ring Home Security…
We purchased our Ring Home Security System from Costco late last year. Fast forward about 10 months later and the battery constantly runs low (we do not use the camera feature very often) and now the internet connect says "offline". We have called Ring several times now and they claim they are sending us a new one. Yet, almost three weeks later it is still in 'pending status with the shipping department.' This product is so terrible we are going to find another security system and toss this one in the garbage. What a waste of money.
So very disappointed
I have waited a year to write this review. That's how patient I am. This ring is glitchy and there is always a wifi issue even though I have GREAT internet service. There is always unverified motion or delays in footage or the doorbell ringing. Cameras go offline for no reason. I don't understand how the reviews are so good on other sites. It's absolutely ridiculous. I am going to sell them for cheap and find another camera service.
Fraudulent Business Practices
Don’t buy from this company unless you would like to be robbed. I ordered a retrofit kit directly from ring with overnight shipping on 7/26/2020 that didn’t arrive until 7/29/2020, a day later for the install guy to have. So when it arrived I called for a return authorization and shipping label. I shipped it back UPS and confirmed they received on 8/5/2020. On 8/6/2020 I called for my $138.56 refund and was told it would be received in 3-5 business days. As of 8/30/2020 nothing. I have complained to PayPal since that is how I paid and to Ring. Ring then sends me an email saying since I complained now it will be another 14-21 business days! Complete BS. So now I have complained to the BBB and to the Texas Attorney General. So my advice: RUN!
Since I have had the Ring
Since I have had the Ring, I really have not had any issues. I got the Ring for surveillance because a neighbor was throwing rocks at my car. As soon as the Ring was put up it stopped. However, lately, I have got "Footage Unavailable". I'm so confused because everything with my WiFi is working great, I tried to contact customer service and nothing. So after 6 hours of trying, I gave up. Honestly, I am looking into other surveillance services.
Ring sales support is a disgrace
Please do not use ring.com site for sales. Is a total disgrace. In January I bought several items and they missed one item in the shipment process. I have been 8 months trying to resolve the problem. They ask the same questions over and over again. Now they do not provide email support so I had to start all over again over chat. They promise a response and no response is ever sent. The irony is that I bought the camera to protect myself from robbers.

Die Idee der Doorbell ist gut, die Umsetzung schlecht, bis das Bild der Kamera erscheint, sind die meisten Botendienste bereits gegangen. mit dem Echo Show funktioniert es etwas besser, aber immer noch zu lange dauer bis das Bild erscheint.
Die größte Frechheit ist allerdings der Support, der den Namen eigentlich gar nicht verdient, den Anruf kann man sich sparen, man bekommt nur Ausreden zu hören, oder dass man für das Problem nicht zuständig ist, weil es am Echo liegt. Einmal und nie wieder.

I have been on hold for over 50 minutes when I was told it would be a 5 minute wait. My ring doorbell is offline and I have someone going into neighbors’ garages and I need my ring to be online and working. Their customer service sucks and I’m very disappointed in the company.

I have 2 ring 1 and 1 ring 2 for my home & 2 vacation rentals. There are more negative I have about it I would change if I was the rings creator:
1-no lights or click sound from the Ring when recording. People know when it’s recording and have gotten smart to wait til it’s not recording (lights in) and have snuck pets, extra people. Etc to not get caught. I even had someone cover up the ring.
2-clearer audio!!! Would like to hear what’s going on when they are sneaking around but can’t because sound is such poor quality.
3-record until “no motion” is detected. I had a person walk up to the door at my home who looked shady and not welcomed. Noticed Ring and made a comment to himself. Then Ring stopped recording after it’s 20 second session. When it recorded again... his car was still there but he was not. Then after 20 mins car wasn’t there. Have no idea what he was doing there . Did he get into the house/outside? Don’t know because the ring stopped recording to know. Looking for another security system since this is a good idea for someone ringing your doorbell but not secure enough to actually see what’s going on. Wouldn’t buy again if I had a choice. Do your homework... there’s better out there.
The absolute worst
The absolute worst. I have three of their stick up cams all three wireless, wired doorbell pro the chime pro and the fastest Internet known to man yet the cameras will either never load, take over 30 seconds or just tell me there’s a streaming error. The doorbell rings randomly, and the cameras are decent when it will actually come online right up until you try and zoom in on anything and then the picture goes to complete and total sh**t. Screw this system for anybody serious about real time security.
