Ring doorbell has now opened up their Neighbors Section to anyone and now we have morons commenting on every post making fun of the home owner and belittling them. The only people that should be on there are customer who have a Ring product. I won’t even post a concern anymore because I will receive a backlash of rude comments .

Ring Pro slechte kwaliteit
Heb een Ring Pro. Nu na 1,5 jaar is de drukknop gebarsten. Kijk op de community van ring en lees ook daar de reviews. Reacties op E-mail: nooit Service: slecht. Heel veel klachten die nooit opgelost worden. Is alleen maar erger geworden na overname door Amazon. Waarschuw iedereen om geen Ring te kopen. In de US heeft men kennelijk nooit van consumentenrecht gehoord,

Don’t buy a ring doorbell
I was given a ring doorbell as a gift. During setup, the install failed with the message that the device was registered to another owner. So I called customer support and spent 30 minutes trying to resolve the issue only to be told that it had to be escalated and I would be contacted in 48 hours. The next day I receive an email telling me that they’ve contacted the “original owner” and asked them to remove the device. So I send them a picture of the box (with all the contents) and my receipt and reiterate that I am the original paying customer who now owns this worthless brick. 24 hours later and I’m still waiting for a response. I get their privacy policy but it seems pretty obvious that we were sold a returned device that had already been registered. What is frustrating is that Ring can’t use their commons sense and all of the proof I’ve provided to fix this. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t buy their products again. Buy an Arlo instead. That company has much better customer service.

The WORST!!!
This is by far the worst large company to have to call into. I bought a ring pro doorbell. Had it installed by a master electrician. The product would not enter set up mode when I went to go set it up. It just kept blinking white. Went to the ring forums to see that it was a low voltage issue that makes it blink white. Called Ring and they told me to bring the electrician back at my expense. I did that. The electrician came back and changed out the transformer to another 24V and added the Ring Pro Power Kit that the guy on the phone told me to add even though there was no existing doorbell before. Same blinking white light issue on the Ring doorbell. I'm now an hour into my third phone call with ring and the woman on the phone barely speaks English and keeps asking me the same questions about the install and keeps telling me to do the factory reset that I've done 10 times at this point to come back to the same issue including cutting the power to reset it. This doorbell is clearly defective and I don't understand why they won't just set up an exchange. Thank god, I bought this at Costco and can return it to get a Nest doorbell. Never again!

The ring costumer support people suck…
The ring costumer support people suck on a whole other level. I called because the ring wasn’t doing what it was supposed to. It appeared as though it was charging which I asked the support guy about and he said he had never heard of that and wanted to just send a new one out. So I gave all my information for the delivery of the new one and hung up then shortly after it worked like it was supposed to. I then called back to cancel the order, waited on hold for a long time then the guy said it was canceled. I just received in the mail and have to go to ups to return it. 😩🔫. Double fail on their part.

Ring is a terrible product
If I could rate it as a 0 i would poor customer service poor product... It will not go off when somebody rings the bell it does not detect a person at the door the only thing that it can detect is the bus that goes by they have overcharged me for a product didn't refund my money for over a month unauthorized a charge on my card.... I could go on and on I am getting rid of the product.

If I could give no stars I would. I would stay far away from Ring products because if you have any problems with any Ring devices then you get nowhere with Ring customer service. You get a lot of run-around and confusing conversations with customer service. Even if you write the concern in an email or message, Ring still does not comprehend what is being told to them. I wish I had read the multiple complaints on various sites before purchasing multiple devices from them. Beware before buying and read up on complaints.

Worthless - Yearly subscription REQUIRED !
I bought my Ring Battery powered doorbell because I didn’t have a regular doorbell to wire it to. Great initially ! Clear videos ..... Ring Doorbell idea for safety, crime prevention etc has now changed and is holding the customer new and old hostage ! Ring now requires you to sign up for a subscription so you can view any videos, doorbell visits etc that have happened during the day ! In other words the product has become worthless ! It takes about a minute to get the alert sent to your phone.... by the time you push on the alert notification and go to your doorbell cam ..that video is no longer there UNLESS you pay $100 per year for the subscription ! So it’s worthless now to me after buy one fo $150 along with an extra battery .....batteries only last 2-3 weeks at best but will now last less as you need to connect live every time Just to see IF anyone is at your door because god forbid Ring let’s you watch a video on the reason why you bought their product in the first place ! Would it recommend it until they delete the subscription plans .... at least allow the customer to view the daily motion at the door and give them the option to pay and save the video

Waste of time, money, effort - worst customer service ever
We were given a Ring Doorbell when we purchased a new house. Because of this, we thought we might as well get the entire security system to link everything together. Unfortunately, this company has the worst customer service I have ever seen from a company. Unreliable, never doing what was promised is at the base of their services so why they even have a department for this is a waste of resources in my end. The initial doorbell was not working and we thought it was due to incorrect wiring. We had three electricians out to take a look with all three confirming that everything was in place and there is no break in between. So now that we know that it is an equipment issue, we let the company know and they offered to send us a new one (must happen all the time as they jumped at the opportunity to give us a new one). They send the new bell but to a wrong address. We let them know and they promise us to send it to us to the correct location and since they've been sending us broken ones, we tell them our situation and we all agree on having the company send someone out to take a look at it since we can't continue to pay out of pocket for electricians. AGAIN, they send it out to the same incorrect address - they must've copied and pasted the wrong address. Not only that, when we ask them to send it to the correct address again, they promise us again that it will go to the correct address, the previous shipment will be cancelled and send us a new one. None of the above happened. On top of that, this rep says the company does not have any technicians that can go to our residence to fix this situation. Every time we call the customer service, we hear a different answer every single time and all the things they say they will do, they do NONE of them. Even electricians tell us that they constantly see other people have the same issue with their doorbell as well so we're not the only ones losing our minds. So as a consumer how are we to trust a company that doesn't provide a reliable product along with a customer service dept that doesn't provide any service? Spend your hard earned money and time elsewhere.

Had the ring installed for a month
Had the ring installed for a month. Operation was sporadic. After dialing back the sensitivity so it wouldn't spam notifications for cars driving by, I got it working decently until it just started sending me notifications for no reason. The other day it went off at 3am with nobody around. The video caught some movement of a palm tree branch in my front yard. This product has been 100x the frustration for every 1 part of use successful use. Into the can you go. Edit after response from Ring: I've been a Telecom engineer for 13 years. It is not the network connection which would cause the unit to report activity at 3am when the trees blow around in the breeze. RSSI looks good. 1,600 reviews at a 1.5 average can't be wrong.

We don't have a big home
We don't have a big home. We have constant issues with the camera up front of our house. The doorbell works ok. And the backyard camera works. However the backdoor camera does not always pick up me walking by. The camera up front is the furthest one away. But like I said we don't have a large house. If it doesn't reach the furthest point of our home, what about people with larger homes? I have gotten no good answers from the customer service.

Ring event storage
Very disappointed with these products. I bought 2 flood light cameras and I now find out I cannot automatically store the events on my phone. I intent to remove these units a sell them on ebay

I strongly agree with others customers, in the time someone approaches to the door you can't see what's going on until several minutes later the Ring App just don't work. Please read reviews on other systems before you buy, i bought the Ring door bell camera paid over $150.00 and just don't work

I agree with other reviewers complaints…
I agree with other reviewers complaints that after 30 days, you MUST subscribe for at least $30 per year in order to see anything on the camera. Even one minute later, images are gone - you just get an advertisement to subscribe. No more ring for me - Amazon doesn't need the money!

Terrible service!
I am extremely unhappy with the service I have received. On 8/8/20 I talked with tech support for my ring doorbell which failed, and it was determined that my unit is defective and needs to replaced. Your rep, Michael, informed me that it would be 3-5 business days. I told him that I thought that was unreasonable because this is a product I purchased for SECURITY on my home, and I would think that Ring would want their customers be without this security for as short a time as possible. I wanted it sent overnight, but I spoke to a manager, Bernardo (Bernie), who told me that he would expedite my replacement to 1-2 business days. Today, 8/10, the replacement was shipped "UPS 3-DAY SELECT"! It is scheduled to be delivered Thursday, 8/12. Are you kidding me??? I just bought 4 PRODUCTS from Ring, and I am considering returning ALL of them and getting service through a competitor if this it how you treat your customers. Either way, I will NEVER recommend Ring's products or service, and I plan to tell as many people as possible about this experience.

I have a Ring door bell 2, after about a year it started to act up. The test your wifi speed started to go crazy and choose servers that would not work for a live view. I called customer to turn off this app, and they told me it was built in and could NOT be removed. After an hour of telling them what was going on with their wifi speed test, they decided it was my fault, cause I WAS DOING IT ALL WRONG. Aftwer an hour on the phone, I just hung up...Ring customer service SUCKS!!!! I have five BLINK cameras, and they are NO trouble at all! Buy Blink people, and you will be happier!!!

Total rip off and a scam. This woman Haydee, Ring Social Care Advocate Was assigned to me to fix my issues. Never heard from her again. They should fire her. Do NOT purchase from This company. Buyer beware, you were warned.

Awful, awful product. By the time we connect with our phones, anyone at the door is gone. It happens over and over. The ring is physically 6 feet from the wireless router. A waste of time and money. As soon as we are able, it will be replaced.

The forced subscription is a scam
The forced subscription is a scam. Most companies will give at least 24-48 hours ability to view past activity on the cameras. Ring doesn't. The company is unscrupulous. This was not what they did in the past. I will not pay for the subscription. For the price of those cameras, the least the company should do is offer 48 hours free, then charge if customers want access to view additional days. I will not purchase another Ring product. It was underhanded and shady of the company to implement this policy. I will purchase cheaper cameras, plug them into my exterior outlets and get the monitoring I need before I pay for a ring subscription or purchase another ring product. These type of situations are a matter of principle. Doing anything because you can without thinking about the impact on the people who are purchasing your product is a terrible business practice. Customers keep companies in business, most companies fail to understand without the customers, there is no business. Those who do are in business for decades.

The worst
Awful product. Pretty much every time I go to view the live mode, it takes at least 1 to 2 mins to load, or just kicks me off completely. If I get an alert, it takes several mins to load so by the time I see it, whoever set the alert off would already be inside, killed my dogs and stole my wife. Sometimes if I select the notification that there is someone at my door, it'll never load the video, and it is unavailable in my history. It'll say "the video was not saved to the Cloud because the camera was not active at the time"..... really. Thank goodness my camera was given to me for free. Wouldn't spend a dime on this product.

cameras and doorbell are Absolutely useless!!!!!! 🤬by the time the “entity“ that set off the ring tones loads onto your phone.... they could have easily broken in, raped Or killed you and got away Scott free🤬 We bought two door bell ringers and six cameras and I would never advise anyone to buy ring cameras!!! We have great Wi-Fi and repeaters throughout the house and yet it still takes a bare minimum of a minute to a minute and a half to load anything on the phone. Sincerely, Sitting ducks & false sense of security.
