My reason for only two stars is due to…
My reason for only two stars is due to me posting a safety issue and it not taking serious. I felt me and my family life could have been in danger, however Ring felt it was irrelevant for a strange man to walk up to my door that looked suspicious. They allowed post such as loud fire crackers, or a lost dog to be more important.

ring Dorbell 2 pas de détection
ring Dorbell 2 est une très bonne caméra , mais pour la sécurité c'est zéro elle détecte une fois sur dix une présence, l application ne comporte aucun des réglages que l'on voit sur les tutos , ( sur les tutos c'est celle de la pro , beaucoup plus complète) la détection ce pour quoi je l'ai acheté ne fonctionne pas a éviter

Ring a total disappointment
Had a ring doorbell, but it started ringing when no one was there. Called ring support, at first they were helpful, but when I asked if I could upgrade and pay the difference I was told by Eda no that was not possible. I ordered the ring pro and sold my replacement that was sent to me. When I called for assistance with the ring pro the tech asked why I didn’t just upgrade, I told her Eda said I couldn’t, she said I could of. Now the one I sold my neighbor is not working and she wants her money back. I called ring back and was told they would let me return my ring pro. I asked if I could just send back the original ring, and they let me keep the pro and they refund the difference. They said they would be able to take back the ring pro, but not the original even though it is under warranty. I have a lot of ring devices at my home, but I guess they’re all trash. Beware if you have a ring but, you didn’t buy from them you will lose in the end.

Buy this is you like to be aggravated and frustrated, the hardware and software technology feel like you are back in time in the 80's. the unit keep disconecting from the internet, you have then to make the trip to where your light is located (street level) from my 2nd floor apt) reach the top of the camera with a stepper, pray it will work, (more often than not it does not) then wait another 10 to 15 minutes to complete the setup, (the ring network does not show most of the time), I called and they have the audacity to tell me it is MY equipment which is the issue (I have the latest wifi 6 technology with 1GB of speed and 2 extenders) the light is exactly 8 feet from that extender. It is a useless piece of equipment, look for alternative with actual technology that works. Yes, it has a lot of marketing dollar to get you buy the product, but remember: " I told you so"!!!

The ring customer services is terrible I order a Ring alarm 14 pieces and they don’t know when I’m going to get it?!?! They don’t care about the customers... I am very disappointment I’d rather buy a Different product!!!

Doorbell doesn't pick up people…
Doorbell doesn't pick up people sometimes at my door. Picks up all cars driving by. Constantly have to activate device. Dosen't work as should. Very disappointed.

chime is terrible
bought a doorbell, works fine.. then bought a chime to work with it. ok, til i changed my sorry att router to much better nighthawk.. now chime can and will not connect. despite talking to tech. just don't buy chime. is terrible.

Unauthorized video recording in my home
Some guests at my home were dancing and I noticed the light come on on the Ring camera, indicating someone was watching and/or recording. The camera was off-line and video was set to "Off" and that didn't matter. There is absolutely NO SECURITY with this device and I highly recommend not purchasing it. If you have it, review all security settings and BE AWARE!

Ring doorbell
I bought 2 ring doorbells and 1 failed after 2 years it ring while nobody by the door so i called ring customer service and i told them about the problem and they said they can't do nothing because it's out of warranty and told me to buy a new one. I don't reccommend this company because they don't back up their product. Don't waste your money for this ring it's not worth the money its like dispoable. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE RING DOORBELL. I ABSOLUTELY DON'T RECCOMMEND THIS RING DOORBELL PIECE OF JUNK

I bought my daughter a Ring last year…
I bought my daughter a Ring last year (Origional model) it seems. To work fine. Bought a ring 2 for my home, worked terrible. Would only connect half the time and picked up movement when there was none. Returned that one and bought another, same thing. Contacted Ring directly, they basically said your WiFi gateway/modem needs to be no more than 25 ft away, if not closer. Many large houses, like. Mine, don't have a cable hookup that close to a front door. My modem is 40 feet or less from the ring and works terrible. I don't know if it's just this model or if they are all like this. I'd recoment a nest doorbell or just use an actual security system. The Ring is worthless

I purchased what was supposed to be a new product. It took a month to arrive. It was in a broken box, repackaged, previously used, and dirty. I asked customer service for a partial refund as compensation for their misrepresentation. After a few hours of back and forth, the final outcome was: "At this time Ring is not able to provide a partial refund due to cosmetic issues." (They did offer to send a replacement, but I would have to pay a replacement fee, wait 7 to 10 days for the refund, and then another month for the "new" unit to ship to Canada. It's almost like they're trying not to care.)

Totally unreliable.
I bought a ring pro doorbell ($399 list price) to replace my $99 Swann WiFi doorbell as I was looking for better quality. I read the instructions and followed them to the letter but as soon as I tried to connect the chime everything just crashed. After an hour with tech support who were pretty hopeless they sent me an email telling me to take it back to the shop and have it replaced. Did that today and went through the setup process connecting the chime first as instructed, then linking the doorbell to the chime. It worked!! I could see myself and the motion system worked....... but only for 10 minutes!!!!! After that the doorbell went offline and nothing I could do would re-instate it. Unbelievable, it kept telling me that power supply was poor. I’m using their supplied adaptor!!!!! So 4 hours later I’ve packaged the whole lot up and will take it back for a refund. Useless system.

WORSE COMPANY EVER TO ORDER FROM
Stay far away from this company when it comes to ordering their products! Order any place but here. Worse service ever and I am still waiting on a refund going on three weeks! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE AGAIN. I am calling corporate tomorrow as I have called three times for my refund. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS SITE! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!

Poor quality and the return process is a bear
Bought two stick-up indoor/outdoor stickup cams for security. Within a day we noticed an unreliable live feed and motion detection. Health of both devices appeared to be good. Internet connection to both cams was great. I troubleshot with Ring Customer Support, they had me reboot both devices. The cams worked consistently for about 12 hours then reverted back. Every few hours we'd loose live connection or we know there was motion, yet we wouldn't get a notification and the activity wasn't in our history. Really defeats the purpose if they only work part time. Rebooting takes several mins and its not feasible on a near daily basis. When I tried to return them online, although they were within the 30 day return window, Ring's site said they were not eligible to return. I called their support team. Went and forth for awhile, they kept insisting to go through the same troubleshooting process as before. Finally they agreed to send me the return form link. Opened it up to find it was the same page that said the devices were ineligible to return. Called back, waited 15 mins on hold to speak w/ someone else. He said I'd receive a shipping label within 24-48 hours. Nothing after 48 hours, called back, waited on hold several mins. The new rep told me, no the standard time is 48-72 hours, but that once they received the devices it was a 3-4 turnaround on the refund. Finally got the shipping label and sent them off. Called back ten days after they received the cams. The new rep said, call back in 21 business days if you haven't received the refund, that's the standard wait time. Long story short, I'm not impressed with the quality of the devices and I'm even less impressed with their hodge podge no standardization approach to.. well everything. This is supposed to be a tech company?!

Works great in the house
Works great in the house, but an unattached garage with the same system, forget about it. They, Ring, told me to try different set-ups, and to get another add-on system called EERO. That will fix everything. Say what!! And that hasn't worked either. My neighbors are still enjoying getting into my unattached garage. Thanks Ring. I should have gone with ADT. Ring is garbage, and after over a thousand dollars too. Thanks

Absolute junk
Absolute junk. Never conects. My other Wifi camera is 3 feet from it and connects every time. I have Gigabit speed fiberoptic internet with a very strong signal. Of all my wifi devices this is the worst. Complete waste of money and image is garbage. Battery doesn't last at all in cold weather. Useless in the winter. Complete waste of money.

Expres niet de goedkoopste gekocht maar misschien beter geen kunnen kopen. Vaak hangt de app vast, een ‘gesprek’ voeren wanneer iemand aan de deur staat gaat totaal niet. En extra bijbetalen wil je terug kunnen kijken. Echt waardeloos.

Deurbel deed het niet, extra kastje erbij besteld, eindeloos gemaild met de klantenservice, kastje retour en nu...3 maanden verder nog steeds geen geld terug, in elke nieuwe mail wordt beloofd het binnen 72 uur geregeld te hebben. Telefonisch slecht te bereiken, maar uiteindelijk toch gelukt, wederom het antwoord: binnen 2 dagen staat het geld op de rekening...helaas..

I bought the Ring 2 doorbell, and there is no recordings. They want you to buy a monthly subscription for 3.00 a month or 30.00 for a year... absolutely not worth the money...

Customer service is terrible
Customer service is terrible! Purchased a Ring Security system, one camera came broken. Trying to speak to anyone who can help and get my replacement camera has been one of the worst experiences. Customer service rep was confused, rude, difficult and overall refused to help me. After being treated horribly no one has any idea where my replacement camera is. I am 5 days away from returning the security system. I am beyond angry!
