Horrible Customer Service!
I called customer service to ask a question, of course the lady answering the phone could not assist me. She then has the audacity to inform me that I would be charged a fee for being transferred to "an advanced technician". Charging a fee for customer service is ridiculous. Customer service support should be the bare minimum of any company. It is not like I asked a technician to come to our home!
Save your $$.-Awful!

Producten en service voldoen niet
De producten (deurbel en camera's) voldoen totaal niet aan de verwachting. De batterijen zijn heel erg snel leeg, de connectie is zeer zwak en valt hel vaak uit. Als het werkt is het mooi, maar dat heeft het maar heel sporadisch gedaan.
Een van de camera's zou vervangen worden onder de garantie. ruim 2 maanden verder en nog steeds niks.
De service? Dat is wel het meest slechte bij dit bedrijf. Niet bereikbaar, niet of nauwelijks reactie op email.

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service! you will spend a lot of your time on the phone from representative to representative and they don't even solve your needs. I bought the stick up cameras, security system and ring doorbell and I am very disappointed of the services and products. I really tried different avenues before writing a bad review but they deserve it. I talked to a supervisor who promised to solve an issue I had with a label and the company didn't deliver what promised. If you are willing to waste a lot of time and get mediocre products then Ring Inc is the company for you.
Very disappointing... What happened to incredible technical support team you one had?
I have had ring devices for many years. The support I have gotten time and time was excellent!!!!, until now. What a disaster. I have had deal with multiple people over the past few days, from another country. They have not a clue how to fix my issue. They told me I had to get another unit so they sent me one. I see the same unit start to work the next day. Yet here comes the new device. I have 3 units at my house that I use. I can't log in on my computer to see one of the cameras, yet it works on my phone, which was the same problem. I reset the app on my computer but it wont take the 6 digit code.
I have dealt with 3 different people. None can get the code I have to enter to reload the app on my computer. In fact it sends me the same code every time.
Jamie, what is happening to your company? Get the quality tech people you had previously had back. You are loosing market share because of this.

Purchasing door bell was a disaster for me and waste of $200. I bought it last year and it never work well, thery replace it and it work for a month then quit.The procedure to ractify the issues are very complicated and if you call customer support it take lot of time and the information is not helpful. I will not advice to anybody to buy this item after I lost 200 plus dollars and lot of time wasted in correcting the issues. The literature is not one simple procedure but there are severla small pieces of papers talk titbits, and none are practical when used up to the end. End result is there is some problem.
The WORST video doorbell money can buy
The WORST video doorbell money can buy. No exaggeration, the chance to connect is no higher than 5-10% of the time. Even with a variety of different cell phone services and perfect reception and different phone operating systems the video connection is absolutely atrocious. I have tried everything from putting it right next to the router to having my phone right next to it and the chance to connect is absolutely abysmal. When you call technical support they cannot give you any reason as to why this product is so extremely unreliable. I have tried absolutely everything, please, please, please read The negative reviews. All of the large company review sites like PC magazine and a tech insider and others are all paid off by ring to give them a 4.0 or Higher review which is absolutely false advertisement and are a lie. This product is extraordinarily unreliable, do not believe any of the good reviews that you read. The chances are the people who have truly given a high review have not on the doorbell for a very long time or are an extreme outlier that is the exception. This is a colossal waste of money and ring doorbell should be ashamed of a terribly on reliable product that they sell to consumers for quite a high price, picked anything else other than ring, I will tell you that.

I have a ring door bell camera
I have a ring door bell camera, it picked me up arriving home and heading out to the mail box this AM but nothing in between. Unfortunately in between thieves were able to steel a generator padlocked to a trailer right in front of the door bell camera. The one thing I needed it for and it failed miserably. If petty thieves can hack this system its useless

RING doorbell unreliable
We have had no end of trouble with our RING doorbells and spotlight camera which are only 2 years old. Everytime something comes up we are forced to buy a product as a workaround. But now the actual doorbell is cracked on our backdoor (which is hardly used as it is a fenced in yard and pool that’s why we wanted the camera at the back). We’ve called Ring and of course the casing is not under warranty AND they said it wasn’t guaranteed in our climate to start with! Why are they selling it here in Ottawa through Best Buy in the first place the ?? I will be looking at a DIFFERENT product to replace this one. And we will do our research first and find a company that stands behind their product.

An intruder parked his car 75’ from the spotlight camera in full sunlight and the camera could NOT CAPTURE THE LICENSE PLATE. What kind of safety is this! It undermines the reason for a security camera

Wenn sie denn mal funktioniert, ist das Bild okay. Die Lebenszeit einer Akkuladung erfüllt in keinster Weise den Angaben. Habe extra einen D- Link Repeater in vielleicht drei Meter Entfernung gesetzt, trotzdem miese Anbindung. Zur Ansicht vergangener Ereignisse möchten die Herrschaften monatlich Geld. Es gibt definitiv bessere Systeme. Ich werde mir was anderes suchen.
Ring has been a horrible experience
Ring has been a horrible experience. We bought 2 led flood lights and a year later they no longer work and no matter how much I try to find replacement bulbs no luck and there is no way that I am spending 600 dollars more on 2 more. Don't waste your time with ring I would search for other alternatives.
Ring does not care about customer safety.
I'm was just currently on the line with a supervisor Lindel looking for a live view video I activated and ended manually that isn't in my event history. Upon letting him know I was filling this complaint out he hung up on me. I have been in constant contact with the ring company with issues since installing the product.
I have multiple recording of every call I've made to the company. Since they record their lines supposedly for quality control, I do my recording for quality control. I have been sent out replacement doorbells on two occasions. Ontop of multiple hours spent dealing with their customer service as if I am the worker being paid to handle customer issues.
On every occasion I have been told that the issues where on their end and have been transferred to a second tier person who escalates, or I'm told escalates my problem and sends the issue to the engineering team.
Quite a few times they have tried to put issues off on the app before coming back full circle with an admission that it's on their end.
Just today I was assaulted and the video I live viewed to document the assailants arrival is oddly not there. I have been experiencing delays in the camera, which is the reason I was in the phone with Ring yesterday addressing that as an issue. It was noted that there was some anomalies on their end.
This was Tuesday may 19th only to be back on the phone for three hours on today may 20 to be hung up on and forced to accept a supposed call in 24 hours. The same offer that was extended to me by the agent that connected me to Liddell. He had claimed that I couldn't get a supervisor to speak to until a 24 hour callback. In which I said I'd wait on the phone until someone was available not so nicely.
I feel this is a shining example of the company trying to shirt responsibilty or blow me off. My account is filled with notes from multiple calls and ring verification codes sent documenting each call and agents I've been in contact with. The additional jumping through hoops is totally unnecessary.

The first agent claimed the videos I told him about didn't exist. Lindell found them just easily as I had explained and informed the first agent of their existence, the agent had claimed didn't which exists. This speaks volumes upon the incompetence or out right negligence going on with this money grubbing company.
If the cameras and doorbells are for saftey and protection, here goes another major fumble. Just like the previous issues of their devices being hacked by outsiders to take gain and take control of paying customers devices to spy on them their habits and daily routines.
Something similar is occurring and was stated to me as a possible fear or matter of concern on may 6th by the only decent customer service representatives I been in contact with. I believe her name was Kieran. Who told me it was definitely a major issue and needed prioty because it was something big her exact recorded words. Today's the 21st and 24 hours later with no call back and 48 hours from another call back I was expecting but, have never received. This is long winded in attempts to express my frustration and the black of customer from this company. I hope my letter can be read easily comprehended and understood.

Do not like the doorbell ring 2, it was a waste of my time and money. It doesn't catch me even when I'm walking towards it. Plus, the company fails to tell you that the doorbell ring doesn't work properly without the subscription after the 30-day trial. Please, don't waste your money! I wished I had bought original cameras instead of the doorbell ring.

Honestly, the worst experience! Paid 250.00 for the top doorbell. only to find out it was refurbished and registered to the people that bought it before.
1- 1/2 on the phone, 4 different departments, multiple E mails to try and set an account, finally after NO progress I hung up! Returned product, sticking with old school button.
Major issues in setting up cameras
Major issues in setting up cameras. Talked with support several times for hours on on the phone. They ended up sending me one new camera, same issue. Paid $100 for tech to come out. He set up my devices on different account setups due to him not being able to set up. Now I pay for a plan to cover video on all devices and only one device is on it due to two accounts that were set up. Very discouraging. I would not recommend Ring to anyone. The support we received did not help and the tech gave me now more issues.
The ring video doorbell is worthless
The ring video doorbell is worthless. I had to spend over $100.00 to buy the product, then service ends after about 1 month, cuts off and forces you to buy a subscription service. I shouldnt need a subscription to see if there is someone at my door. I bought a camera, which should record if someone is there. There is lag time between the notification and the time someone is at your door, so by the time you answer the ring, it is no longer in real time. The app is not user friendly and of course pushes more products on you. I hate the ring.
Zero Customer Care
Good product with AWFUL customer service. This is NOT a pandemic problem... has been an issue. Now, with “limited” service, getting assistance is near impossible.
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!
While the product is fine, customer service is like speaking to a kindergarten class. Simple math no one can do. They cancel existing plans and recharge your credit card, and then can not do math on prorated $30. Spoke to 3 people in two days to fix two monitoring door bell plans I have. After an hour and half on the phone, I finally asked to speak to a manager. Manager never got on the phone. I hung up and disputed the charge on my card. I removed my card card from my account, so they can not automatically charge when they have no idea what they are doing. I will decide if I want to continue with their plans. They lack the ability to give "two cents" about the customer!!!
Returning products is a nightmare!
The 30 day period "no questions asked" return period is awful. Don't buy unless you don't plan to return. Returning this item (in the Netherlands) took me multiple emails and 45 minutes on the phone with a call center. It's a shame that Ring has decent products but their customer service processes seem disorganized. A piece was also missing from my box.
After the fact device
If ring detects motion it can take as much as 20 minutes to get the view on your device. Be assured I have very fast internet at both ends. Just today the doorbell rang and it took over 3 minutes to connect and of course the visitor left. Part of the reason to get ring was to answer the door remotely. This is an after the facts device nothing like ads showing the homeowner yelling at a potential intruder.
