I have over 50 devices- Alarms, cameras, etc on two networks. I went all in a couple years ago because Customer support was amazing. Now, you can’t get through to a human!!??? You wait on the phone for a half hour, and they simply don’t know the answer???? I have decided I KNOW more about the RING products than the people answering calls! What Happened Ring??? I use to recommend you to everyone, now I wouldn’t recommend you to anyone. So disappointed.

Cannot view activity without their advertisement for plans blocking it. They mention free plan, but I am unable to get from app or website.

Kundenservice grottenschlecht. Hatte 2 Geräte in Verwendung und direkt über den Webshop zwei weitere bestellt. Diese sollten dann aber auf Basis der 30-day-returns policy zurück geschickt werden. Den Rückgabelink muss man erstmal auf der Seite finden, dann funktioniert die automatische RMA-Erstellung nicht („Bestellnummer des eigenen Shops nicht bekannt“), per Mail antwortet keiner. Am Telefon ein, vermutlich niederländisches Callcenter. Aussage (auch schriftlich in der Bestätigungsmail): „behalten Sie die Geräte wegen Covid-19 erstmal bei sich, bis wir uns melden. Die Erstattung erhalten Sie aber sofort.“ 3 Wochen nichts passiert, erneuter Anruf: das war angeblich ein Missverständnis, sie warten auf den Wareneingang. Aha. Also soll ich ein Rücksendeticket erhalten („innerhalb von 3 Tagen“) aber wieder passiert nichts. Also selbst per DHL zurück geschickt. Die angekündigte, sofortige Eingangsbestätigung der Retoure fehlt seit fast 2 Wochen, von der Erstattung ganz zu schweigen. Nächster Halt Paypal Falleröffnung...

I bought Ring Door Bell Pro in 2017, it worked for less than 2 years but after that, their app started giving problems. I called multiple times to their customer service but could not troubleshoot issue ('System is upgrading and can not help you' excuses). Finally, they claimed that motion detector is broken!! (beyond my understanding, how motion detector breaks by just hanging on the wall). Exactly after 2.5 years this device became completely inoperable. I talked to supervisor Brendon and he said that they can stand by product only for a year as their warranty is for only one year. He offered me 35% discount for next ring purchase. I said - you fooled me once, do you think I will be fooled again?
If you like to waste your money, go for it - I don't.
Pretty good starter camera but performance lacks after they reel you in
Pretty good starter camera with the novelty of using Alexa/fire sticks to control your viewing on multiple amazon devices.. Loved it at first but it is somewhat useless for real time viewing..when you get the notification that someone is in your zone and you check on it (CHECK FRONT DOOR)...VERY SLUGGISH!! Video will pop up appx 15-30 sec later...intruder gone...as others have said, first few months this is not an issue..afterwards SLUGGISH for some reason all of a sudden???....I'm not a complainer but other reviews are correct..great starter surveillance..but HORRIBLE for real time surveillance when called upon...

Waste of money
The Ring doorbells are a waste of money. I have great internet coverage and my Furbo camera that is inside never disconnects yet the Ring cameras rarely work! Save your money and get a different brand! You will spend more time trying to get the Ring to work then it actually working!

No matter the setting adjustments you may make, Ring Video Doorbell detects pixel changes as motion and triggers alerts, turns on lights, in my case, for every car that drove by at night bc the light from their headlights alone would hit my building. So, it was always an annoying product. But suddenly the videos aren't free???!!! Bait and switch! That should be illegal. I was sold a product with free videos. If you want to suddenly charge for videos, do it on the new system. I should be grandfathered in!!!!
Not just RING
Not just RING, BUT all WIFI capable security CAMS and it does not matter whether they are solar driven, battery or direct electric connections.........if you live in a concrete block (not stick built house) and intend to put a RING or any other type of brand camera outside your front door or rear of the home...........no matter how strong your WIFI signal is inside your home, these devices WILL NOT WORK. Do not waste your $$$ on this inferior Chinese made CRAP. Instead, spend the money for an entire, direct cable connection security system with multiple cameras and a DVR. It might cost more, but you WILL NOT have the damn stupid issues you have with these inferior WIFI piece of crap security cams. I spent $1000 for an entire direct connect wired system with six cams and a DVR and it worked great. Especially the one day I had to have my neighbor arrested for tress passing a stealing which caught him on camera. All I had to do was go to the DVR, roll back the footage, show it to the cops, and they arrested my neighbor. Your RING and other devices will not have this roll back record capability that my DVR has with SWAN. Forget Ring and all the rest and go with a good direct wire SWAN system. You'll be glad you did and won't waste money down the drain.

It only picks up activity at your front door 50% of the time. The thieves and felons will surely be around for the 50% when it is not functioning. Could never get it to give a full view despite several attempts at angling.
Do not, I repeat, do not waste your money. Get a dog instead.

Awful, weak, under-enginered, not up-to-par with tech standards, a big disappointment.
Awful. Extremely poor account management. You cannot identify as a business. They do not respect EU regulation: it is impossible to receive a VAT invoice. Plus the invoice they provide does not state the legally required conditions. I wonder if they are even registered for MOSS.
Quality of the service is practically the worst I have seen. Quality of their hardware (wifi) is a joke. Read the reviews, everyone has issues with WiFi range (good for them to sell extenders).
The Battery system is a nightmare. It "Trickle charges": even when the device is on a CONSTANT power supply, when you make it record too much movement, the battery depletes (convenient for them not to have to store so much in the cloud).
Plus, you miss detections. Which is also convenient: You should buy the security camera of you want all detections.
I am stupified that this company is actually owned by Amazon??? Nice going guys, if this is the level of quality you're after. What a complete and utter joke.

I wish i could give negative stars. This customer service rep was so bad he completely stopped listening to me and started screaming over me. I have called support 5 times in the last 2 days still no resolution. All i want is to reschedule the ups pickup for a return package. I promise to never buy anything else from this company

i wish there was a way to give negative 2 stars instead of 1, because even 1 star is too much. the ring customer service is, always has been and always will be disgusting and unprofessional. first of all, the man who answered was completely not in the mood to be speaking, but i overlooked it because i get that sometimes people can have bad days while on the job. i asked my first question, to which i got a one word answer instead of an actual, helpful response. i asked my second question, which should have been fairly simple to answer on his part, and he just hangs up the phone. hey ring, if you're going to hire someone who sighs the entire time on a phone call and shows no kind of interest in even doing his/her job, here's a clue: don't hire them. horrible service every single time.

Rings are disposable and wont last. The first ring I bought 2 years ago stopped connecting to the wifi only 3 months after. After trying everything they told me without any success, they replaced it with another ring. One year and one month after the same thing happened. The warranty had just expired and they did not replace it. Don't buy a ring unless you are willing to replace it every year or so.

Not happy!!! Alerts not going to phone. Door bell not alerting phone. Ring said to uninstall and reinstall app. Old email address was on the acct. I called Ring and it will be weeks to resolve issue. Paid $120 for device and monthly subscription and I can't get device reset. They stole my $ when I bought the doorbell, worked for a few weeks, I followed their instructions and now I have less access then I did before I followed instructions. They are robbing my money
Don’t buy it
Don’t buy it. It sucks. Apparently it works just fine in the day time, no lag or loading issues. This means WiFi connection and voltage is fine. However, as soon as night time hits, about 9-10pm, this thing dies and claims there are voltage and WiFi issues. Sure, why not all of a sudden. This ONLY occurs at night by the way. We have ours wired and directly connected to the source. Do a quick search of “ring not working at night” before thinking about buying this thing. It’s a waste of money. Get yourself a Nest instead. Ring only records based on motion. Nest records non-stop. I’m converting over to Nest. There is no point of have a security camera when it dies at the most crucial times.

Do not get a RING security system if you are using it for a vacation home. If anything goes wrong you must be there to fix it. Comcast had to replace my internet modem and I need to enter the new password in order for the system to work. I cannot enter anything unless I am there because my phone needs to be near the doorbell. So none of my cameras will work until I am back at that home again...which will be next year due to COVID-19. I have wasted over $1000 on cameras which cannot be used until I am at that house.

Ring is waiting patiently for Ups to answer what happened. Is 16 days already and of course no answer from any side . In the middle time Im having to continue without one of the cameras amd hopping nothing happens
